Was served by this young girl called Mariam I believe, she was very sweet, helpful and guided us throughout the menu. She even recommended us to download the App for some freebies and suggested to try some of the delicious starters which was absolutely amazing. The food arrived on time, bill was accurate and most of all the service was impeccable. We would definitely return.

Shocking delivery service again, when the drivers complain they don’t get tipped it’s because our pizzas turn up with no toppings on as they haven’t kept them flat and it all slides off.

We love coming here and usually come here as a family for birthday celebrations. The atmosphere is nice and food is great. Were in there celebrating my daughters 18th and staff were really friendly helping to organise cake etc. Thank you for a lovely evening

Went here for the 1st time at the end of January, hadn't eaten in a pizza express in years so had no idea what to expect. Well I am very pleased we went, the food was perfect, the atmosphere was perfect and service was spot on too!!! I am so sorry I have forgotten her name, think it was Amy but she was so friendly and helpful, hope if / when we go again, she is our server. The pizza, isn't on the menu but noticed the toppings were part of other pizzas, so they kindly did this for me, I personally love it (egg on pizza) but not for everyone obviously. Anyways. Thanks Team for a great 1st experience and hopefully be back soon 😊

Fantastic location, very spacious and clean. I had above and beyond service by all the waitresses. It's wasn't too busy on my Tuesday visit and the food arrived quickly, but not rushed. The taste was outstanding and I thoroughly enjoyed everything. I couldn't recommend it highly enough here. Will definitely visit again when I'm next working in Ipswich.

The food is lukewarm. According to the map, the delivery driver had to make a detour way past my house. I would not recommend this place if this is the quality of delivery.

Awful! We only ordered basic pizzas which took 30 mins to arrive. We had vouchers which the waitress took but when bill arrived it showed food at full price. Lacklustre apology. Table was dirty even before we ate. Staff totally disinterested. Won't be going back.

Ordered food at 17:20 for delivery at 18:15. Arrived at 20:00. Had been out for delivery according to the app since 10:50. Must have been cold on arrival. We had to go out so missed it. Rubbish service.

It is truly phenomenal, when the pizza greets your taste buds. I can't think off any other pizza restaurant that cooks pizza that is as delicious than pizza express. Also, the view of the waterfront next to you creates a picturesque atmosphere. And finally the waiters on shift that day were extremely kind and I couldn't have asked for anything more. Thank you very much pizza express, I will be back again in the near future.

Wonderful experience. Staff are professional, friendly and approachable. Service with a smile and food is of the highest quality served at the perfect temperature and well presented. I would recommend eating here at anytime as the atmosphere is fantastic. Family friendly restaurant but equally a perfect setting for an intimate meal for two. The staff here really make it what it is from polite and friendly front of house staff serving food with a smile to the highly trained professional pizziolos that prepare the exquisite food that reaches your table in a timely manor piping hot throughout. The cleanliness of the restaurant and kitchen is off the highest standard.

Well I’d like to say it was a pleasant experience, but it ruined our evening as we didn’t even get the chance to sit down! we booked our table for 6 people at 8pm and was told they were running 45 mins late, and even people that had sat down were getting up and leaving after still waiting to be served. Im sorry but the excuse of its busy and its Christmas doesn’t wear, they know its going to be busy so dont book so many tables out. Im sure the food may be nice, but be warned booking around busy holiday times, you may have to wait or even go hungry!

Terrible, slow service. Asked if we could have £28.00 set menu with free kids meal offer. Said no, asked manager said no. Clearly states on website free kids meals can be given with set menu. Would have spent an extra £20 ish if had been allowed! Instead just ordered a single pizza and got free kids meal. So saved myself some money. As usual totally awful slow service, rude staff.

Pizza Express hosted us for our daughter’s 10th birthday and made it such a great experience, even though we were not easy customers. The food, setting and service was of such a high standard and I could not fault them at all. Thank you for making it such an amazing day with amazing pizza.

The driver called to say he was on his way but the pizza wasn't hot. The pizza wasn't as well made as normal.

Very frustrating sitting waiting for our meal for an hour while the chefs prioritise takeaway food. Would not recommend going there between 6-7 in the evening. Disappointed.

A bit disappointed, although early my order was only luke warm. Tasted ok but I guess that the courier didn't have the right equipment to keep the food hot. Shame, I hope that if I go to the restaurant in the future the food is hot.

Brilliant! On time and lovely food!

The food was actually lovely but a shame that each time the offers they promote can only be used through their crappy app that doesn’t work properly. I downloaded the app before going this time as WiFi is crap and won’t let me connect while in there. Spent more than 45 mins at the end of the night going round in circles as app not doing what it should and could only let one of us at a time, showing us all different things! Ended up with paper bill in the end that was still wrong! Really ruined the evening. Won’t be going back

The food was very good. The pizza BBQ Chicken is excellent especially with the garlic oil . The Chicken Parmigiano pasta is also great. Jadna made our day, she was very kind. The hole place is lovely .

Service was shockingly slow. There were plenty of staff, they were turning customers away yet it still took a good 20minutes to take our order. We tried to use a deal within the app which was not easy to do and staff struggled to help.

Pizza Express serves up the best pizzas from any chain in the UK. Their resteraunt in Ipswich looks a bit concrety from the outside, but its modern on the inside and you can snag a seat with a great riverside view. Service is friendly and efficient, making it a great place for a casual meal with family or friends.

Good customer service all round, happy for me and my daughter to move tables as sun was an issue. Quick service and food was good. Kids eat free main reason went which was a nice offer. My pizza itself a tad expensive but good quality.

Food was good, however after turning up with a booking of 5 today was very disappointed with the lack of attention at the host stand. We waited for quite a while (roughly 20mins) and once serviced we no longer received our reserved table and instead were offered a make shift compromise. Then when asking for a different and more comfortable table that was available we received a very rude response and were forced to wait for 10-20 minutes while the waitresses cleared all tables accept ours! When finally sat were completely ignored and treated like a problem, when ordering the member of staff was poor at listening and seemed more concerned with the staffs interest then her customers especially when we mentioned politely that the air conditioning was quite cold so our experience was being made uncomfortable. Whilst sat we also experienced many customers turned away rudely after waiting for long durations so no respect for time was being paid, this was particularly shocking as there seemed to be plenty of staff ignoring jobs and not a very busy restaurant. Despite having been to this restaurant a few times with okay service today it was unacceptable and just rude so I felt it necessary to leave a review.

Service was horrible, treated like a burden the entire time even though it wasn’t a particularly busy thursday, took ages to be seated despite booking and even longer to be served. Completely rude the whole time!! (and froze us all with the air conditioning on full blast)

Slow and inefficient service. We waited for a few minutes at the entrance (a sign said to do so) but no one came, so we had to go in and hunt down some staff. They weren’t particularly friendly.

Second delivery from pizza express. Second time items are missing! Won’t answer the phone and it’s infuriating. Courier was waiting for food for ages. Deliver went back by 30 minutes because of this.

This place is an absolute mess. Booked for a celebration, when we arrived (despite them confirming we had a booking), our table was ready an hour late. No apology, just told us we couldn’t wait in the foyer as we would be “in the way”. So we waited out on the street and periodically went back in, as no other way of knowing if it was ready. The man on the door got increasingly annoyed with us for asking on our table, despite us actually having a booking for our celebration. We let them know some of my friend’s meal was missing, they accused her of having eaten it rather than put it right. The waitress cleared her half eaten plate away when she complained and when the manager came, he said he couldn’t verify as the meal had been taken away (when she wasn’t finished). At the end, we split the bill equally between us (including paying in full for the incomplete meal as it just got to the point it wasn’t worth the hassle and we wanted to leave). The staff member accused us of short changing her by 10p, and said we needed to pay it before we could leave. We knew we hadn’t worked it out incorrectly so upon looking back at her card receipts, we realised it was actually her mistake and she had charged one of us 10p less for the card payment. We were still held to ransom until it was paid, my friend found a 10p piece so we could get out of there! No apology for this pedantic accusation either. Aside from all of this, the restaurant was filthy with food all stuck over the menus and covering the floor, and the back of the chairs were inexplicably soaking wet (so we had to dry them with napkins before using them). The toilets were also disgusting and very unhygienic for a restaurant. Had a good night catching up with my friends, but would never again go there!

Nice to sit by the marina but it took long time to bring pizza after we ordered it about 1 hour and pizza was overcooked and dry (not much filling on the pizza either

We visited on a Saturday evening, looked nice from outside and the outdoor seating was busy. We were given a table inside. The waitress was lovely but service was very slow and the food was poor quality. We ordered lasagne and a pasta dish as we don't like pizza for a main meal. It was very expensive for what we got and the lasagne was poor quality. The pasta dish was OK.

Nice place down by Ipswich waterfront. Service was friendly and helpful. Food was good. Slightly on the expensive side. Over £7 for a bottle of lager, £16-£18 for a pizza.

I normally hate chain restaurants. However, I could buy a meal I really enjoyed and could eat without guilt (pizza with a hole in it). The service I had from Amy S was personable and very professional. Attentive but not obtrusive. Watching a team work is always a pleasure and the whole team is efficient and calm. A very nice atmosphere but extraordinary for a chain. I'll be back.

The manager of this branch picks up the phone and pretends he cannot hear you. I’m unsure now as it’s the same person who was difficult and rude last week. A regular customer of pizza express and have never experienced someone who just doesn’t care about the company they work for like this, it’s a massive shame.

We were on vacation and it was our first time eating at the restaurant. The thin pizza was as good as the New York pizza.

I think this was my first visit to a Pizza express and I was positively surprised. All the food was lovely and we had good service as well. Started like sitting in a refrigerator, but once we asked the manager direct, he turned the air con off (he didn't listen to staff). All in all, we had a good experience.

Terrible. It took over an hour for our pizzas ti arrive. Stuff shrugged their shoulders when we asked about this. The egg on my pizza had been cooked dry. If you can eat somewhere else do!

Rude disgusting staff waited oven an hour for our pizza with no updates had to go up twice to check still no update ended up having to cancel our pizza and still get our toddlers pizza as they were starving waited another 25 minutes and they brought the wrong pizza for our dairy free child!!!!!!! Waitresses sniggering and manager is USELESS. Standing in hear whilst waiting for head office number after being offered a 20% discount - for all the hassle which is nowhere good enough. AVOID AVOID AVOID I have been going to pizza express for my whole life and NEVER had an experience like this!!!!!

I didn't expect any surprises- a group of us, in Ipswich for a funeral the following day, just wanted somewhere relaxed and reasonable for an evening meal. Pizza Express was a very good choice. Pizzas were fine. Stand out feature- friendly and helpful staff

Deeply disappointing visit. Cold pizza, cold pasta, cold coffee and a very long wait. Service seemed disorganised and the team, management included, needed training.

I have not received my order even though it says delivered its 21.05 I'm hungry and down £32.93 I can't contact anyone I'm outraged

Little to no updates as to what was happening. The app said that the courier was at the restaurant waiting for my food for a good 40 minutes before it eventually said it was out for delivery, to which it turned up over an hour late

Good, consistent quality food at a reasonable price. Had a minor hiccup using the app that required the manager but the staff were helpful and friendly.

I have to say this was the best experience we’ve had here! Previous visits have sometimes been disappointing but Jadna looked after us really well, great service! Bbq chicken Pizza was so good, a new addition to the menu, dough balls delicious, halloumi bites a little underwhelming as I think they could have been cooked a little more, still good! Over all I’d have given 4.5 stars! 5⭐️ for service!

Awful service. Table booked for 6pm and on arrival someone else had taken table. Waited over an hour for food. Appalling. Regularly eat here before Ipswich games but will not be going back.

Me and my boyfriend were told we could use our uni days discount by the waitress before we ordered, she even checked the terms and conditions. Then at the end of our meal she told us our discount couldn’t be applied to the meal because of Valentine’s Day but she told us it was completely fine when ordering our food with her!!! This left us with barely enough money with us to cover the cost all because of an incompetent waitress!!! The food was also a complete rip off as 3 small dough balls cost £7!!! Complete waste of time and terrible experience

My mum left a bag with her favourite waterproofs in in the restaurant. She was just visiting Ipswich and didnt realise until she got home. She called them and explained, the lovely staff and especially the manager, Kostas made sure they were posted back to her. Really appreciated, thank you for your kindness!

Came here for lunch with friends. Wasn't overly busy. Starter was nice calamari. Ordered a seafood pizza and came quickly after the starter, but the whole pizza was stone cold. The dessert was Tiramisu was nice. Also had a latte, and that was stone cold.

Pizza Express always has good pizza and often there are deals available to save money. Food was good as expected, catering to gluten free and dairy free requirements, as well as a great value children's menu. Service at this restaurant was outstanding.

Absolutely delightful staff, they went above and beyond to make our Foster child feel special on their birthday with a cake, delicious dessert and general pleasantness. Catered for my gluten and dairy intolerance very well and gave superb advice with what to have and avoid. It's been a few years since I've been to a pizza express and they impressed me. Thank you 😊

Great food - consistency good! Service was good, though there was a small error in our order this time round. We asked to move tables when we were first sat down as there are some tables in that restaurant that are really poorly lit

Lovely food and great atmosphere, just the booking service absolutely sucks, you can't just see all available slots you have to go through and try book each time slot one at a time to then be told it's not available anyway, calling is just the same service only slower, if their are no available slots it should just tell you and you shouldn't even be able to try and book a slot that has no available tables, quite a time wasting system.

We arrived early and were able to still be seated, food arrived very quickly and was perfect!
