Lovely lunch at pizza express Harbourne. Had the vegetarian sharing plate to start- really top quality and plenty of it . Raffaele was very welcoming and friendly. Gave good advise about what to order

Generally good but dough balls and dip were not received even though we were charged.

food is not expressive but the service is very good. The staff is very friendly tp the children.

Came here on an educational visit and it was amazing! The children really enjoyed the experience. The staff were amazing, so patient and informative. Thankyou for allowing the children to make their own amazing pizzas.

I'd forgotten to leave a review but wanted to do so as our experience on the day was very good. I believe we were served by Emma and Kate, I really hope I'm not getting the names wrong but was exceptional and swift service as well as everything you would expect in terms of food for Pizza Express.

A delightful lunch time treat at the always atmospheric Pizza Express in Harborne. Staff were exceptionally friendly, particularly Emma. My dough balls and Giadinera were delicious as was my biscoff sundae (which is must for dessert lovers)! Will be returning soon!

Waited by the door and was passed several times without any communication. I felt like an outcast like I wasn't supposed to be in there. Like it said whites only at the door. Literally all adult staff running around like they are new to the job.

Really tasty food, came out quickly, and the service from Raffaele was lovely - very attentive and friendly. My only issue was that the music was a bit too loud, I’d prefer to listen to my friends speak than song lyrics!

We stopped by last Saturday evening for a late dinner after a night out and were served by Raffaele, who made us feel immediately welcome, despite it being close to closing time. Service was swift, attentive and friendly, which we appreciated, not being locals and this being our first visit. This branch has a cosier atmosphere than others we've visited before.

I rarely complain, but being dairy intolerant and always having done my own pizzas for this reason, this is the first and last time I'll be ordering a pizza takeaway. £36 for 2 x 9 inch pizzas from a pizza chain restaurant that were possibly the worst I've ever tasted. I'm sure the normal pizzas are fine but the vegan option are not I'm afraid.

Dined out with my family and honestly the service was spot on. A young lady served us and was very helpful with everything. Even though our pasta took a little longer, she was very apologetic and funny. Had a nice chat with Maia and we will be coming back for sure!

Visited today for my Daughters 8th birthday! We were served by Liv who went above and beyond for us in every way. Considering we came with 6 kids which was a bit hectic she helped make our visit the easiest and most enjoyable experience. We can’t thank her enough!

Pizzas were on the crispy side but the waitress was very funny about it. Good food, 10/10 waitering, Maia was great and our little one really loved her.

What the hell has happened to the pizza express house dressing? I know it probably changed a few years back but it's lost its punch. Anyway, Raffaele was a fabulous host, the staff really are the asset of this business. Well done to your staff. Pizzas were great but salads are poor, little more than hedge clippings with tomato and cucumber, coupled with the poor dressing was a disappointment, far from what they used to be. I'm supposed to come here for a treat. This was from from it. I'll be back though.....

Lovely experience here today, food came quickly, was fantastic quality and servers were all friendly. Catered to allergies with no issues and restaurant was clean and tidy even though it was busy, including toilets.

I took my children for dinner after a lovely day out. We had missed lunch and were pretty hungry so decided to order the family bundle (two large pizzas, a starter and two sides) and one Romana sized pizza, between three of us. I was planning on taking leftovers home and prefer to order too much rather than not enough. When taking the order I asked the waiter "what is the kids eat free policy. Is there an age limit?" He very rudely looked at my children, scoffed and said "free meals are off the kids menu and its for under 11's" I said "never mind then, my son's 12 and we don't want to order off the kids menu" Both my children are tall and look like young adults. The waiter looked at them again and said "You can't get cheap for them anymore"! I then started to place my order. The waiter loudly pointed out "That's A LOT of food. There's only three of you. Are you sure you want to order that last pizza?" I told him yes (my daughter wanted a Romana base and my son & I wanted different pizzas). He asked three times, getting louder each time, attracting the attention of the other diners and said "well OK, I don't know what your appetite is like, but if that's what you want". Then he took the menu's and walked off. It was very embarrassing. Before we finished he came to the table next to us, interrupted thier conversation to ask them if they wanted a box for thier food. One of the women was still eating, but he had no regard for that. The other lady did want a box, but they were clearly not ready to leave yet. When he brought the box to them, he asked if our meal was OK. I said yes (the food was lovely) and I asked for boxes for our left overs. He then walked over to the chef, spoke to him in Italian, pointed at us, then the chef turned looked over and the waiter rolled his eyes. The waiter knew my daughter could see what he was doing as he looked her straight in the eye as he talked. When the waiter brought the boxes over he proceeds to ask me very loudly if everything was OK with the food. I said yes, it was lovely. He asked again twice, if I was I sure. I replied "yes and we have enough left over for lunch tomorrow too". He huffed and walked off! This man completely ruined our dining experience. What should have been a nice relaxing enjoyable end to a lovely day out ended up leaving us all feeling judged, uncomfortable and annoyed. It is non of his concern how much we order and it should not be an issue if we want to take home leftovers. I was going to escalate this to a manager before I left but for the sake of the peace of other diners, I decided to come home and leave this review/complaint. I feel if I'd escalated there in person this waiter would have just gotten more loud and obnoxious, I'd already had enough of his rudeness and just wanted to leave. I spent £82 last night. The food was lovely. But the service made it feel worth £22! We usually order desert to take out and on this occasion I was going to order a pizza with a meat topping to take home for my husband, but I decided against it just to get away from this rude little man! So, in summary, Pizza Express Harborne - last night your waiter upset customers and lost sales for you. As a bare minimum, please train this man on service and people skills.

To assist us with our 6 year old birthday we had Kate. The party was amazing all parents children and parent were impressed with the service. Kate and staff went above and beyond the help the party run as smoothly as possible. Kate was amazing with the kids and took full control, keeping the kids well behaved but allowed them to have the most fun.

Worst racist staff ever Me and my friend came for dinner and 2 of the waitresses just ignored us and asked the white man behind us for seats and acted as if we were not even there. I am so furious at pizza Express staff of harborne they are pathetically racist. And in addition that they lack professionalism and are very rude.

Without a doubt, the best Pizza Express in Birmingham! Raffaele always delivers outstanding service and after years of coming here, I’ve never been disappointed. It’s the perfect spot for a peaceful afternoon to relax and unwind.

Had a lovely lunch here with four other adults and four children. We were given a suitable table near the back, which worked well with our younger guests. Our server was Kate who was wonderful with our order, information regarding allergies and amending the bill when we spotted an error. The manager was also great when we had a query. Would recommend this branch as the staff, food and service is very good.

delivery driver refused to deliver to my door and wanted to meet me in public square. I explained that delivery details were quite clear with additional information to assist them.

We have been there many times and usually food is really good. However last night I took my son and he had the Pollo Ad Astra and when we got home, he developed a bad bout of Diarrhea! He suffered all night and he hadn't eaten anything but that pizza! I called today to tell them what happened and ask them not to use the same batch of chicken for other customers, and all I was told by the manager was "ok thanks we will pass the the message to the kitchen staff", and then goodbye!! no apologies, no "sorry this happened to you child", none of that, perhaps the manager didn't want to admit it was their food that was the culprit, but her aloofness was quite disappointing!

Mi experiencia en pizza express me pareció muy desagradable, no nos recibieron en la puerta. llegamos a las 10 : 10 y cuando llegó Raff, uno de los empleados, era muy descortés, nos llevó a la mesa y arrojó los menús, y luego procedió a venir continuamente para ver lo que queríamos cuando habíamos dicho que estábamos esperando a alguien. No fue una buena experiencia.

I found my experience at pizza express very unwelcoming, we weren’t greeted at the door. we arrived at 10:10 and when eventually Raff one of the staff members came over he was very unpolite he took us over to the table and threw the menus down he then proceeded to come over continuously to see what we wanted when we had said we were waiting on someone. we wanted to order dessert but he said we couldn’t have it and asked us to leave. It wasn’t a good experience whatsoever.

Poor service. Waited 25 mins for just two desserts. After that long wait, the fudge cake came out BURNT. The waiter didn’t even offer to replace it when I made a comment on it or even offer to escalate it to the manager for a resolution. I also asked for double cream with my cake I was given aerosol whipped cream, my idea of double cream is pouring cream. Rubbish service. I wouldn’t come here again. wish I stayed at Rudys for dessert, the fudge cake and ultimate fudge cake are over rated! A massive thumbs down .

Food 2 hours late….. cannot call the restaurant

Today, I visited the restaurant with my son for my pre-birthday meal. Our experience was significantly enhanced by Alicia's service, which was both warm and professional. She demonstrated a great understanding of my nut allergy, as she has a nut allergy herself. The only downside was our inability to leave a cash tip, as many of us seldom carry cash these days. Thank you again, Alicia; I look forward to returning to your restaurant in the future.

Very nice decor and friendly staff. Was quite disappointed with the food tbh. The pizzas lacked flavour and the dough balls tasted quite nice but appeared deflated. Overall, it seemed way too pricey for the standard of food received.

Me and my friends thought why not to give the place a try - idk if the server thought we were snobby teenagers or what but ever time I asked him a sincere question he would answer me in a snarky tone . Staff was so rude, we enter to eat over there and one of the lady she came to us and directly told us need to get out we don't have space and you have to book it earlier and all and she was so so so rude Staff was not good Terrible Not prefer to visit again

We arrived at the restaurant around 7:30 pm and departed around 8:40 pm. We had only ordered three Cannelloni and one dough ball pesto and arancini balls. The food took a considerable amount of time to arrive, and other dinners around us frequently inquired about the meal. The cutlery was in dirty condition. As a result, we experienced a disappointing experience here.
