Without a doubt, the best Pizza Express in Birmingham! Raffaele always delivers outstanding service and after years of coming here, I’ve never been disappointed. It’s the perfect spot for a peaceful afternoon to relax and unwind.

Had a lovely lunch here with four other adults and four children. We were given a suitable table near the back, which worked well with our younger guests. Our server was Kate who was wonderful with our order, information regarding allergies and amending the bill when we spotted an error. The manager was also great when we had a query. Would recommend this branch as the staff, food and service is very good.

delivery driver refused to deliver to my door and wanted to meet me in public square. I explained that delivery details were quite clear with additional information to assist them.

We have been there many times and usually food is really good. However last night I took my son and he had the Pollo Ad Astra and when we got home, he developed a bad bout of Diarrhea! He suffered all night and he hadn't eaten anything but that pizza! I called today to tell them what happened and ask them not to use the same batch of chicken for other customers, and all I was told by the manager was "ok thanks we will pass the the message to the kitchen staff", and then goodbye!! no apologies, no "sorry this happened to you child", none of that, perhaps the manager didn't want to admit it was their food that was the culprit, but her aloofness was quite disappointing!

I found my experience at pizza express very unwelcoming, we weren’t greeted at the door. we arrived at 10:10 and when eventually Raff one of the staff members came over he was very unpolite he took us over to the table and threw the menus down he then proceeded to come over continuously to see what we wanted when we had said we were waiting on someone. we wanted to order dessert but he said we couldn’t have it and asked us to leave. It wasn’t a good experience whatsoever.

Mi experiencia en pizza express me pareció muy desagradable, no nos recibieron en la puerta. llegamos a las 10 : 10 y cuando llegó Raff, uno de los empleados, era muy descortés, nos llevó a la mesa y arrojó los menús, y luego procedió a venir continuamente para ver lo que queríamos cuando habíamos dicho que estábamos esperando a alguien. No fue una buena experiencia.

Poor service. Waited 25 mins for just two desserts. After that long wait, the fudge cake came out BURNT. The waiter didn’t even offer to replace it when I made a comment on it or even offer to escalate it to the manager for a resolution. I also asked for double cream with my cake I was given aerosol whipped cream, my idea of double cream is pouring cream. Rubbish service. I wouldn’t come here again. wish I stayed at Rudys for dessert, the fudge cake and ultimate fudge cake are over rated! A massive thumbs down .

Chloe at Pizza Express Harborne was the most fabulously attentive, efficient and welcoming waitress we’ve encountered in a long time. She made our Christmas Eve visit with family, relaxing, smooth and enjoyable. Thank-you Chloe.

My son had his 6th birthday party here yesterday- and what a success it was from start to finish. Kate who was our host was absolutely wonderful with the children and so helpful. The pizzas turned out brilliant and everyone commented on what a great idea/ party it was. Thank you- especially Kate!

Food 2 hours late….. cannot call the restaurant

Today, I visited the restaurant with my son for my pre-birthday meal. Our experience was significantly enhanced by Alicia's service, which was both warm and professional. She demonstrated a great understanding of my nut allergy, as she has a nut allergy herself. The only downside was our inability to leave a cash tip, as many of us seldom carry cash these days. Thank you again, Alicia; I look forward to returning to your restaurant in the future.

Pizza was absolutely shocking!! only thing decent about the meal was the sauce and even that was a little runny 2/10

Very nice decor and friendly staff. Was quite disappointed with the food tbh. The pizzas lacked flavour and the dough balls tasted quite nice but appeared deflated. Overall, it seemed way too pricey for the standard of food received.

Me and my friends thought why not to give the place a try - idk if the server thought we were snobby teenagers or what but ever time I asked him a sincere question he would answer me in a snarky tone . The food was too expensive since it tasted like the bought frozen pizza the portions of the chips was so small Never again.we went to grill father after that

Excellent service, couldn’t fault anything

Staff was so rude, we enter to eat over there and one of the lady she came to us and directly told us need to get out we don't have space and you have to book it earlier and all and she was so so so rude Staff was not good Terrible Not prefer to visit again

We arrived at the restaurant around 7:30 pm and departed around 8:40 pm. We had only ordered three Cannelloni and one dough ball pesto and arancini balls. The food took a considerable amount of time to arrive, and other dinners around us frequently inquired about the meal. The cutlery was in dirty condition. As a result, we experienced a disappointing experience here.

Ordered last night but never received my order. I received a call from a strange number and I tried to ring back with no success. I rang Pizza Express directly but no one answered and I left messages with no response. I shall be raising a dispute with my bank as I have been told that I won't be getting a refund. I ordered through uber eats. This is a rip off.

Always enjoy their Pizza. Staff are welcoming and attentive. With the rewards available the cost is reasonable. Highly recommend

Thought I would try pizza express after a few years and disappointed to say the least. The pizza was hardly anything to be impressed by especially at almost £17! The cutlery was not even clean and in terms of atmosphere it seemed like the staff were just in their own world half the time. Definitely not wasting my money again and anytime I’m in Harborne and fancy a pizza I will just head down to the Plough as they actually provide the service or the food you are paying for, even if it is just pizza. Overall the bill was over £60 for two adults but I just left disappointed overall. Hope you can do better and improve as I’m sure other people will have similar experiences

First time trying pizza express. I ordered an American hot. Ironically it was delivered cold. Jalepeno’s were missing. Driver took my order next door. Blamed me for giving the wrong address. My address was taken from my Just eat account. Which is correct. If it was taken down incorrectly, it was done by his employer. Pizza wasn’t bad once I put it in the oven. Called to complain. Didn’t answer phone. Automated messaged asked me to leave my name and number. I did so and received no call back. Sorry, pretty poor

We had not visited pizza express for a while and were disappointed with the lack of pasta dishes. The pizzas are fine but I didn't find the extra large roman pizza was as crisp as seemed to be planned. Service was polite and prompt. The chicken wings were an excellent starter and nicer than dough balls.

Whack undercooked vegetables, poorly seasoned. Not like a usual pizza express. Saddened

The Niçoise salad I was given was lovely but there were some ingredients missing! There were now new potatoes, rocket and dressing in my salad. So I’m a bit disappointed!

Food was good. What you expect from a Pizza Express. Service was a bit slow we stood for at least 5 mins at the door before someone came over, and they weren't busy. Service got better once we sat down. Can't get a free kids meal (with an adult meal) and use tesco vouchers, but no-one told us this. Better communication.

First time dining in this Pizza Express. Loved it. Very clean. A calming and peaceful atmosphere. We made reservations the same day. The host was friendly. Our waitress was lovely, bubbly, friendly and very professional. For Starters we got, 'Dough Balls Doppio with Garlic Butter, Basil & Pine Kennel Pesto & Smokey Tomato Harissa' dipping sauces, we got to share and we loved every bit of it, for the mains we got, 'Carbonara and Pollo Pesto', both were really tasty and loves it, also got 'potato salad', that was delicious. It was a Sunday so we could park on the street. There are two Car Parks close by at decent prices. Definitely would come back here. Thank you for a lovely afternoon Pizza Express.

Went out to celebrate, unfortunately ruined by our waitresses bad attitude and stale tasting pasta which I was asked 5 time if it was my taste buds even though my husband tasted it aswell.

Have been here for lunch and also with our kids for a meal. On both occasions recently the food and service were excellent. The restaurant is very clean and when we visited it was relatively quiet which is was great as not too busy and loud. Our kids also enjoyed their meals which included an activity pack to keep them busy.

Great food, lovely and attentive waitress, speedy service, happy family, happy life, would recommend, had no problems with catering to allergies and intolerances, great atmosphere and very impressed with the dining experience that we had today, no complaints.

Harborne branch set me up on 1st order with decent prepared "ramano stretched dough" two pizzas, with decent base bread thickness A week later, yesterday, they ripped me off with two pizzas with hardly any toppings & useless very very thin base two pizzas, not sliced, shapeless base, pizza slices broke into distorted shapes, Strangely Uber eats app could not send me instant email confirmation of my order until many hours later, Yesterday, when i telephoned Harborne branch to complain about inconsistency in preparation & negligence of training & quality control, the female manager translated that i ordered on uber eats & i have to raise complaints with them, But uber eats is a total negligence actor, they refused to act on my complaints with my 3 long replies & all the images of a poorly prepared, unpopulated ingredients, half the pizza was bare base bread only, no thickness at all on ramano stretched dough type pizza, A proper ripoff from harborne & uber eats, they totally performed like a scam gang.

Excellent restaurant...Have eaten here many times over the years and would recommend to anyone with the consistent level of quality and service from the staff.

Our local Pizza Express is a great place to socialise and obviously serve great food.

Second time I’ve ordered Caesar salad from Pizza Express. Second time it’s arrived without dressing. This time there were no anchovies either. Basically paid for a plain bland salad. Very disappointing. Called restaurant and left message, but no response.

Pizza Express Harborne its managed by great people and the staff are so friendly, nothing is an issue, smiles all round. Big thanks to Tia, Emma and Milena the managers and the hardworking pizza chefs and serving staff.

Despite offering a decent delivery window. Driver couldn't be sourced and the time kept being extended. I wouldn't have ordered if the time had been upfront and I couldn't cancel without paying in full.

Children’s party crushed this morning. All stops pulled out to make it work after some booking problems. Well organised all the same and executed with charisma.

I thought the bolognese was quite good for the price as it is only £8 something if you get an adult bolognese and £7.95 for a kids' bolognese (which includes dough balls and ice cream). The chicken strips starter tastes fine but is not worth the price as the portion is incredibly small (3 tiny bits of chicken), and the price is quite high at £8.25 The ice cream with strawberry sauce was absolutely delicious! 🍧

Been going to the Harborne branch for years, the staff are always attentive and friendly and food is constantly delicious. Restaurant itself is cosy and with clean/fresh décor. Don’t hesitate to go here - a full 5 stars from us!

Just your average Pizza Express. We ordered their Spicy Giuseppe and their new square Calabrese pizza. They were both okay nothing special and a bit floppy i would say. Personally I don’t enjoy extremely thin pizza but for someone who does it is an average pizza and quite expensive for what it really is. As Dave Portnoy says ‘one bite everyone knows the rules’.

An afternoon meal at PizzaExpress Harborne, easily booked on the PizzaExpress app. Great service from Raphael, lovely pizza for three adults and our two young grandchildren who ate everything. Can only recommend.

Pizza Express staff were great, food was delicious. The only problem was getting a courier assigned by Just Eat. Next time I will order directly through their website.

Possibly the worst restaurant I have ever visited! Having booked a table was sat under an air condition unit that could not be turned off because it was faulty.. When asked to move was sat in the corner equally cold in the conservatory with no lighting to so you couldn't see your food. We waiting over an hour to be served 4 pizzas. Frankly this is not any kind of express service as described. Had to complain again to be told they had Auber and take away delivery services... What poor service, I sat the entire time with my coat on being so cold. Later the manager explained untrained staff were left in the kitchen unsupervised was the cause. We had to feed the parking meter twice before I was served my 6" pizza. I WILL NEVER VISIT THIS RESTAURANT AGAIN AND RECOMMEND IF YOU WANT TO ORDER A PIZZA USE UBER EATS FOR BETTER SERVICE!!!

The food was disgusting, the chicken was supposed to be lemon flavoured, but there was no lemon flavour. The squid was soft and floppy, and not crispy, it smelt extremely fishy when opening the box and it tasted off. Chicken pollo was sweaty not crispy. The halloumi bites were also soft and steam sweaty. Very disappointed with food and waste of money. Would not be ordering again. The manager needs to speak with staff and chef, if they want customers to order. I spoke to staff regarding when my order was to arrive, and was told to check on the just eat app, I asked another question and was rudely replied to. So the food and staff need improvement.
