I was very satisfied with the Great food & service and the flavour of the food.

Pit stop on way home from Yorkshire wildlife park. Quick service and fit us in without booking. Easy parking a few yards away.

Came to visit on mother's day, staff were super friendly, everyone's meal was perfect. I always order a fiorentina pizza and I have to say it was awesome.

Lovely evening as always. My son booked a family meal for myself and my husband, my son and two grandsons aged 10. We thoroughly enjoyed our food, drinks and the service from our lovely waiter. Thank you again for making our evening so enjoyable.

Amazing food and wonderful service

Whilst it was quiet, it was very early for lunch. Lauryn was her usual, pleasant efficient and helpful self (yes I know her quite well) that aside PE on ecclesall Road is such a warm and welcoming place to go, even if you only fancy a cake, which is my particular penchant. Thankyou for always making me feel 'at home'. Xxx

Dined with friends for Christmas get together and had a great time. Service was friendly and the food was gorgeous!! Great location as you can head across the road to plenty of bars after.

Been a while since we were here at Pizza Express Ecclesall Road, appears to have had some redecorating done and it was lovely and even more special with Christmas around the corner. Booking was very easily done online. Our waiter was top notch, attentive and anticipated our needs and very friendly and cheerful. Food excellent, tasty and came out quickly. Was surprised at the size of the desserts (Christmas dough balls) as could feed two of us rather than one. An excellent night

We had joint kids party on Saturday, it was fantastic from start to end, very welcoming and kids were taught amazing cooking skills. Highly recommend for kids parties here! Thank you

Very disappointed with the 4 pizzas we ordered hardly any toppings at all and poor base , really expensive for quality of pizza. We have eaten at Pizza Express before and the takeaway pizzas bear no resemblance to the restaurant pizzas.

Staff are lovely and welcoming and always check on you. Great food and are great with allergies. Tables are really spaced out.

Enjoyable meal out at pizza express with the family. It was unexpectedly busy with large groups but fantastic service from Lauryn!! Really impressed with how personable, friendly, and how lovely she was with us on such a busy evening. She wasn’t trying she was just very good at her job and was aware of her customers and it makes such a difference to your evening. Thank you for a lovely evening!

Through Uber Eats just bought the garlic prawn pizza which was quite pricey as wasn't in any of the offers. It had almost no prawns or cheese on it. Also the Calamari came with a sauce pot with 3mm deep sauce in it, What a rip off for £30.

The worst pizza express I've ever been to. Incable of cooking food that's edible. 3 times they've sent food either undercooked or missing items. There is an absence of any quality control and nobody ever answers the phone or returns messages. It's astounding that they have any customers left. ...oh, what a surprise, the same generic reply from the general manager, who appears to lack any sincerity in their reply! Just a suggestion, instead of spending time copying and pasting the same identical response to poor feedback, why not answer the phone when people call and ask to speak to a manager, or even reply to one of my many messages left both with your colleagues and on your answering machine?! Even better, why not actually manage your staff and introduce some sort of quality control to your restaurant! Good grief!

Ecclesall Road PizzaExpress is a great place. The food in general & the pizzas are fantastic. The best things about PizzaExpress is the warm welcome and the service we get from the staff. Paul, Jamie & Jake are so helpful and friendly. Thank you to PizzaExpress.

I mean its Pizza Express so don't expect fireworks but they are absolutely consistent and sometimes it's just what you want. Go for American Hot with extra jalapeños. It's a mix of chillis and they gave us the option of changing all the chillis to Jalapeños but I declined! We had a delightful waitress who was ensuring that we had a good time, food was delicious but 17.50 for a pizza is starting to push it a bit...

Recently went here for my sons 4th birthday. The food was excellent and the service was impeccable.Especially because my son has certain dietary requirements and the staff were more then happy to assist and help with .10/10 would recommended

Great service, quick and delicious food!

Not bad, but could be better. Accessibility around the restaurant is not brilliant, tables are too cramped together. Staff are okay but a little overbearing, service is slower than I'd like. Took ages to recieve our bill.

Food absolutely amazing as always! The BBQ burnt ends as it’s one of my favourites. The service from the staff was fantastic. Always there to help and so friendly and welcoming.

We don’t often come to large chains but visited tonight as had some vouchers. Food came fast and hit the spot after a long day of travelling. We were served by Jamie who was an absolute delight!

To anyone thinking of booking a kids pizza making party, we had our 5 year olds birthday here today, 10 kids entertained for 2 hours. They had pizzas they'd made from scratch (aswell as dough balls & ice cream.) The host was amazing with all of them. Lovely restaurant, would recommend 10 out of 10! Thankyou!

Visited to celebrate a birthday on Tuesday the 25th of April, the young server Lucy was absolutely amazing! Very fast and attentive, very bubbly and chatty, a great server! The food was beautiful! A very well presented!

Great atmosphere Sensational delicious food Awesome vegan menu with knowledgeable staff

My grandmother always said that if I had nothing nice to say then to keep quiet. Normally I would therefore never write a review if I was not meaning to be nice but today I will make an exception. Not because I had a bad meal but because my kids have always liked to go to pizza express and I’m afraid they have just ruined that with tonight’s experience. We ordered some dough balls for starters and to be fair to the waitress who otherwise excelled in both poor timid and extricate she managed this part quite fine. To be fair it was just four plates of the same thing g so let’s not get ahead of ourselves! But here the success stops. Upon nearly finished we realise that the now almost finished plate which our youngest had eaten the last dough ball was raw. I know they come frozen and is heated but still. Better make sure he has the mattress protector on tonight in case his stomach realize what it has been given! For the main we ordered four pizzas (two Romano base and two normal) as wel as two kids pasta with the sauce on the side. The first two romana pizza arrived not warm. In fact mine which was the one called burned ends which had cooked tomatoes on top had been finished with the precooked tomatoes right before serving so they where nice and chilled. Not surprising given that they had half cooked some of them as taken them out half way through. When we mentioned it they took them back and when they returned them I think the name of mine should have been changed from burned ends to nuked to death as the whole side was scorched. And not in the nice way where it adds flavour but in the way it end up when it has been in the Owen three times and tasted like cardboard. My wife’s was the same. Then to til it off it was handed over with a comment of “ here you go extra warm!”. The pastas which the illusive manager brought himself had I. The meantime appeared, unfortunately. The pasta was all hard straight from the Owen. It looked like rubber and my poor vegetarian daughter was sending hungry looks after my sons pepperoni pizza and clearly considering crossing over and who could blame her! By now I think even waitress had realised that tips was probably unlikely today and hence she came and asked, while half the table was still eating and my son was only half way through:” are we still eating or are we finished?” She then took my wife’s plate while she was still chewing her charcoal but at this stage we had just had enough and just wanted to leave. At no point was there as much a sorry and the illusive manager didn’t introduce himself at any point but stayed loyally by the kitchen. Over all a disaster of a meal which shouldn’t really be that hard. Like previously mentioned it’s not exactly our first time and my kids normally like it there but my daughter said when she saw the bill “what!!!?? Are you serious!” The food was honestly the worst I have ever paid for and the service was a joke.

Spent £14 as an adult, on what was delivered as a childs sized lasagna. Went home via a takeway to spend more money cos so hungry. Next day, my child was so ill I nearly had to take them out of school due to chronic stomach ache and vomit. Zizzis gives 2 times the same amount of food for similar price, without the food poisoning.

Had a brilliant experience when we went out to PizzaExpress on Ecclesall Road after nearly 3 years. Paul was a brilliant host. Thank you Paul and the PizzaExpress Team.

Hosted a lunch with a group of 18. Service was great.

Always been a big fan of Pizza Express and come here regularly. We're usually served by Hime (not sure of spelling, sorry!) and he's always so friendly and happy. He even remembers my complicated orders!! You really can't go wrong with the food at Pizza Express in my opinion, although prices have definitely shot up. The app is great though, I'm now in gold tier and get some really good offers on the food. P.S., parking at nearby Berkley Preccinct is £1 for 2 hours, so it's easy to drive to and not usually that busy in the evenings during the week.

Very nice helpful staff who were very kind after they made a slight mistake with the original order. Delivered the correct order really quickly after that.

Pizza Express on Ecclesall Road, brilliant, lovely, tasty food. And Jaime our server was AMAZING. Best service we have ever had, he genuinely made our night.

I always have liked Pizza Express because you know what your getting, it's tasty and consistently good. The new smaller desserts with tea/coffee are a great idea. This particular Pizza Express had really friendly service tonight too, glad we looked you out whilst visiting Sheffield. Update January 2023. On a return visit equally happy, new pizzas on the menu are great and the staff give you the usual Sheffield Love. A good example for this trusted brand.

Great place and great food. For some reason I feel like I don't receive a pizza for their rewards program every time I visit which is a bit strange. I have a feeling the app is still a little buggy but I can't quite put my finger on it yet. I wasn't able to get my first two pizza options since they didn't have some of the ingredients which is a shame but it can't be helped sometimes.

Nice bright setting and very welcoming feeling, as always in here. The food was good - sometimes I feel the romana bases could do with a little more substance but the flavour was great and our desserts - choc fudge cake and coch brownie - were delicious. But the star of the show was the service. So so friendly, watching all the staff be so joyful to customers and welcoming. Our waiter Jamie was manificent. He was friendly and happy without being pushy. He was efficient, available and made it one of the nicest experiences of eating in any restaurant. A true credit to himself and the restaurant, thank you. He was waiting on the next table to us who had kids and he was super with them too, offering high-fives to them. We'll defo come back for more of that friendliness!

Ordered the Pollo As Astra. The pizza came all crunchy and burnt. I told the waiter and he took it away. He initially said that he will get a new one made. He then came back to say that this is thin crust and it should be like that! I am pretty sure that thin crust should not be served burnt. The manager was making some comments and faces in the back. He just didn't care. I would not recommend going there just based on the manager's attitude. The waiter was however very apologetic.

Ordered online using Deliveroo. Meal deal, two pizzas and two drinks. Pizzas arrived lukewarm (fair enough not expecting piping hot on a delivery order) but seems no attempts made by restaurant to ask drivers to keep food to temperature (Deliveroo equally to blame). Food quality: shocking. Pizza bases undercooked, toppings grouped together and not spread out, cheese easily came away from base revealing undercooked and what seemed to be raw parts around the crusts. Definitely not worth even half of what was paid for the entire order. Ordered near closing time for the restaurant - could be a reason? But still if so, sloppy work by the chef(s). If this is the quality from this branch, avoid like the plague.

Went on a first date here as she thought it was Zizzis. We had just been to the Porterbrook first, where she said she fancied an Italian. Being from non Italian descent though I've been to Sorrento 4 times, I made it for the door thinking I've blown it, before she said "no... Italian food. The date went great and she wants to see me again. I put it down to the great service and food here, as I'm pants at first dates, so thank you. 3 dates in and she still likes me, so we will be coming back soon, so I can get a top up. Can't thank you enough 👌

I've gone to pizza express before so when I went recently I was already expecting nice food but the food was exceptionally good and the staff were very nice and friendly to me, considering going again with my friends.

Great service! Thanks for Steph who was incredibly patient with us as we balanced a range of vouchers and coupons to make an incredibly complicated bill. Great food too, the vegan options are honestly fantastic. You can be sure that there's plenty of good dairy free pizzas here.

Waitress and management were so accommodating and friendly, went out of their way to provide excellent service. The manager went so far as to tether his internet from his personal phone so that we could download the app and save money. Our children were a little mischievous but never felt unwelcome. Makes life a lot less stressful, thank you!

We didn’t get to eat here on Saturday as we were asked to leave the outside seating area - which was empty bar one couple - because we sat down with our border terrier. She is probably cleaner and better behaved than many toddlers. No-one would have been cleaning up after her, that’s for sure. Such a shame on a nice sunny Saturday after a lovely few hours in the Botanical Gardens when we were hungry and thirsty. We ended up on Division Street near our daughter’s flat, at a little cafe that has welcomed us and our dog inside before. I don’t think the waiter wanted to turn us away and he was very apologetic but hey ho.

Went here for dinner and didn't have half the things on the menu. Had pretty much no vegan options. Server was nice but they also messed up the order of some of the only food they did have so we had to wait for ages.

Had a mid week meal here with the family. Our waiter was very friendly and service was good despite the restaurant being quite busy. Pizzas were very good. Baked pasta slightly dry on top but still good. Nice desserts which were a good size.

It is OK.it is a bit overpriced for what is offer ,staff could be more welcoming and attending-one lovely lady was very nice and helpful,specially when you are with child who want draw,writing to kill a time while waiting.waiting time quite long (more than 40minutes). Dirty glasses and cutlery... Amazing tiramisu ,surprising for a chain.

Superb restaurant! The staff here really treat it as if they own the place, which is unheard of in a chain restaurant. I go here every week on Saturday lunch after work, and it never fails to impress! Keep up the good work

This was the first meal my husband and I went for after having our baby and wanted to just make special mention of our waiter who was just so lovely and made us feel very welcome. It was a Saturday afternoon and restaurant was full, very busy, and everyone just made it look easy. A very pleasant afternoon of delicious, fresh pizza for two sleep-deprived parents. Thankyou :-)

Not impressed by the waiting times for food this evening over 2 hours we were in there and only had had a main meal food was OK nothing special the staff were friendly but very very slow and it was not even busy and there were plenty of staff! Don't think I will return

The staff at this branch of pizza express are wonderful. Always smiling, friendly, approachable and clearly working hard. The food is excellent and the restaurant is kept clean. With something on the menu for everyone (inc. young children), pizza express, Sheffield, is a great place to visit.

Unfortunately our experience of the food was really not good. We had a table booked for 8 people and were all really looking forward to a big family catch up. The service was ok but the food is what really let it down. The dough balls hadn’t risen properly and were quite flat, the chicken wings were weird, they tasted like aniseed and felt like they were microwaved as they were wet, the pizzas- 1. They didn’t have hardly ANY toppings on them. 2. Toppings were actually missed off 2 pizzas. 3. The pizzas weren’t cut and pizzas cutters were not offered, we had to ask for these. 4. The pizza with the chicken didn’t taste of anything considering it’s called ‘forza’ Italian for strong. 5. The cheesy garlic bread had the tiniest 50p size tiny bit of cheese. 6. He goats cheese pizza was missing the goats cheese…! Overall the toppings (and everyone agreed) were very very sparse/almost non existent. Thank god for the garlic oil, chilli oil and Parmesan. Won’t be returning anytime soon.

Pizza Express was born on Wardour Street, Soho in 1965... This 'Eccy Road' restaurant is one of over 470 in the UK and never disappoints. Pelican Reviews have not been for some time and the manager Rob helped us sort out a minor issue above and beyond our expectations! The Caprese is one of our favourites which was deliciously fresh... The Spinach Cannelloni to follow was excellent.

We loved the pizza and the dough balls with chilli were amazing. The waiter (not sure if his name is Jamie) was lovely and very good! Really enjoyed our time there.

After a lengthy break due to the pandemic we finally had a meal at Pizza Express. We had our favourite legerras which were lovely-we even had a 2 for 1 voucher. It felt very safe and well organised.

Food is good. James who served us was really quick and good with the kids, fist bumps etc. Fun birthday tea.

If you are considering eating the gluten free pizza at Pizza Express DO NOT. It is ridiculously over priced for its size and is the worst non flour replacement I have ever tasted. It was half the size of my wife’s Romano ( in diameter and therefore tiny in area!) it was soggy and tasteless. It is clearly an example of cashing in on the trend for gluten free.
