We had my son’s 40th meal here at teatime. The staff were soo helpful and kind!! Can’t fault the service well done!! Meal was fine and had a lovely few hours there! Thank you!

Been to the florentine many times and have enjoyed it each time I’ve visited! Georgia was our server today and she was really welcoming, hospitable and a lovely server! Only recommendation is to have a couple more slices of toast with the patê!

We visited this lovely pub for Sunday lunch. We were a party of three adults and two young children. We had a lovely warm welcome when we arrived and were shown to our table which was in a lovely part of the restaurant next to one of the huge windows. The food was delicious and the menu had a fabulous choice of meals. The roast dinners were tasty and the extra gravy jug was a bonus👍⭐️ Julie the manager is fantastic. What an excellent job her and her team are doing. A huge thanks to Ben Gannon too who gave us a warm friendly welcome also. We will be back soon🥰

We enjoyed a lovely reasonably priced lunch in very pleasant surroundings. Food was great, the staff were lovely and helpful and made my dad feel very welcome in his wheelchair. 4 disabled car parking spaces at the front. Ramp access to the entrance, plenty of space to manoeuvre the wheelchair around the restaurant and a Radar key operated disabled toilet. We will definitely be back again soon.

We come here regularly, it’s our local restaurant. The service is always fantastic. The food is lovely with a very wide variety of choices. We have been coming her for years and have always used the private room for family meals and functions. Would reccomend this restaurant to everyone. Will be back very soon.

Thankyou to Julie and Lindy for looking after us so well at The Florentine on Saturday 30th March 2024. The food was amazing. Shout out to the chefs. We had a great birthday celebration, and felt thoroughly spoilt. Will be back to The Florentine soon.

We booked a table for the bar area, when we got arrived there was a party on and no available tables. We was seated in the restaurant side were we sat for 25 minutes before anybody came to take our drink orders. They took our food order then to tell us it was a 45 to 1 hour wait. We then had to cancel food and arrange a taxi to take us elsewhere to eat.

Very amenable staff, great location and nice food too. Shower quite small in the top room.

We meet here as it is central to us all- we have met here many times- it is a very relaxed space - it wasn't busy so we were not rushed in any way ( we never are)- if anything I wish the set menu was slightly bigger - I think I have tried everything on it now

Went for a big birthday lunch for a dear friend. Food was really delicious. Fine dining with a casual and relaxed ambience. Though a small portion their buttermilk chicken tenders were amazing! The ambience is great with plenty of indoor and outdoors.

Had the steak pie meal with mash and veg .my friend had fish and chips both meals were delicious .the staff was very friendly and helpful. Enjoyed the meal experience would go again

Attended last night for a family meal. Was very disappointed with the food, I would compare the quality with a weatherspoons, certainly not worth the price. Will not be bothering again.

Came for Mothers Day Meal, expecting great things having been to numerous other venues of the same stator and run by the same company. Stated in my booking that we'd require a pushchair friendly table yet found ourselves carrying the pram up some stairs to our table. Other than that, started out great! Waitress was very friendly. Starters were great. Mains came out before all starters were finished and cleared so my 4year old was a little flustered when there were suddenly 2 plates in front of him. Then left a large pause between finishing mains and taking our dessert order but approached the table as we were half wya through dessert to inform us that they table was needed and we could move to the bar as soon as we'd finished desserts. When I told 1 member of staff I wasn't sure my son was done because he started the clearing our table, he retorted "well I need to be resetting this table for another booking" Unsure why our experience should pay the cost for bad time management on the day. We were having a great time until we felt rushed to finish and leave. Unfortunately a bad end but a downer on our forts tie dining here and no apologies were made or even an attempt at remorse for almost forcing us off our table..

Lovely relaxed atmosphere to celebrate a family birthday. Had a private room to accommodate mix of adults and kids. Great food and service, hope to be back soon.

A beautiful building run by friendly staff with unpretentious but lovely food. Would recommend for casual dining. The rooms are lovely too and cheap too.

Well from when we arrived it’s such a beautiful building we had a warm welcome when we got inside it was very busy there was a wait on food but we could see the staff where busy so didn’t mind waiting for our drinks and food When it arrived my steak was spot on And my partner was happy with her chicken kebab We will definitely be back

The Florentine is our place to go .. we had the new menu and it was fabulous between us we tried the sticky chicken,the fish cakes and the baked feta - all great additions to the menu .. and the watermelon and feta salad is absolutely delicious! Other family members had the creamy cheesy mac and cheese and the pan roasted chicken! All delicious and well presented. Will have to come back and try the delightful sounding desserts.

We arrived at the florentine following a recommendation, we were so pleased we followed the advice. from the minute we entered we were made to feel welcome but the team. The drinks service was quick and efficient. The Pub has a great selection of drinks to suit all patrons. The food was superb, credit to the chef. We had a mix of dishes and all were served with a high quality and cooked perfectly. Thank you to the whole team at the florentine, think we might of just found our new eatery.

Terrible. The bar server had no idea about what drinks you had and I had to convince her you stocked a particular item listed on the menu then show her where it was in the fridge. Despite having booked a table (that wasn’t reserved when we arrived) we were told later that there was a 50 minute wait for food as there were ‘tonnes of walk ins’. What is the point of booking a table? It would have been very helpful to have been told this when we arrived. All in all a terrible service experience.

Food good, although no pizza or fish & chips available. Restaurant was cold & looking very tired in its appearance Service was very slow & the staff lacking in attention to detail ie: had to ask for cutlery, serviettes. Then ordered drinks & after saying we didn't need s tonic as we had some left from previous drink, they still brought one. We moved to the bar area , hoping it would be warmer after our meal, but it was still cold.

We stayed overnight in the Charolais suite and had my son’s birthday dinner in the evening and breakfast the next day. The suite was stunning! The food really fresh and great quality and the service excellent. We will be back!

Arrived in good time for 6-30 appointment. Very nice young waitress - explained there was a 40 to 50 minute wait for food. Decided we would stay. A couple of minutes later she came back - Sorry but there are no pizzas and no fish and chips tonight. We left! Given that they have an offer on main courses at the moment, you would assume that they want you to be impressed and come back at a later date. We won't be coming back!

Run by a great team of people, it’s an interesting place to stay, lots of character and free parking. Rooms are big and stylish too..!

The spicy chicken pizza is delicious, thin crispy crust, lots of toppings and perfectly cooked. Excellent choice for children as well. Service was pleasant, Steve was very helpful and friendly.

I have been dining at The Florentine for just over a year and each visit never disappoints. I am always welcomed with excellent service and always met with a smile from their lovely team, they make you aware of any changes or adjustments to the menu (which is very rare!) My drinks are always served straight away and i am always offered their lovely starters/sharers. My dining experience whether it be in the restaurant or bar is nothing but excellent. The food is always well presented and delicious to eat, my favourite dish recently is the pork belly on the specials menu followed by the caramel tart. I will still be attending the florentine and spreading the word on the pleasurable dining experience to my friends and family.

We really enjoyed our visit to The Florentine. I had a lovely pork dish from the specials menu and my partner enjoyed the sea bass from their new menu - they were both absolutely delicious. The children's menu has a good variety and the staff, already very attentive, were really engaging with my 9 year old and 1 year old. I finished off with the lovely new miso caramel tart for pudding. I'll definitely be back for that one!

This is a restaurant where you sit in a nice not too busy environment. It was clear staff were very busy but food and drinks were given at an appropriate time. Cost was a bit more expensive but the food was cooked beautifully so you...

We had a meal for 15 people in one of the private rooms. We had 5 children and 3 babies with us. The staff communicated well before and we did a pre order. The staff on the day were absolutely lovely and so good with the children. The food was really nice and reasonably priced. The staff were fab at helping with the bill at the end as a large group is always complicated! We plan on all coming as a group again in a few months time. Thank you for looking after us so well!

We visited for all times sake when it was years ago the Fulwood inn, when we lived locally. We chose the lunch menu with steak and chips for both of us; we both chose medium in choice of the cooking of the steak. After 35...

Delightful staff. I had a salad and the lettuce could have been presented better. It could have been cut up/ shredded so that it looked more attractive to eat. My husband had the pie and said that the crust was very hard. It’s a shame to be let down by small details.

Chic hotel restaurant great service and attention to detail

Honestly, the staff are what make this place! Julie and her team are masters of customer service. It felt so welcoming and they couldn't do enough for us. Our room was clean and tidy and had everything we needed. Bed was comfortable and the daily freshly baked cookies were a lovely touch! The bar is well stocked and the food very good. One of the best veggie roasts I've ever had on Sunday evening. The cost of our stay was excellent value for money and the place itself is in a lovely area of Sheffield about 25 minutes in a taxi from the Utilita Arena where we were going to an event costing about £15. Thank you Julie and team for making our stay so lovely

Booked a table online for 7.15pm. We arrived and was asked to goto the bar as our table wasn’t ready. Escorted to our table. We overheard someone complaining about how long they have been waiting for food. At the order we were told that the kofte starter was sold out so we ordered Olives, hallumi fries and hummus. We waited well over an hour for our starter to arrive. It was way past 9pm before we received our main courses. We were starting to consider leaving as a 2 hour wait for food was ridiculous. Eventually our main meals arrived. Pizza, burger and a Chicken kebab. The plates looked basic. The pizza had no taste the burger had no taste and the kebab was just 4 pieces of chicken on the skewer. We didn’t enjoy anything about our meal and we left more than half on our plates. We told the waiting staff when they asked us why we didn’t enjoy our visit. Usually we would have had a desert and coffee but we were glad to leave

If you're looking for best fish and chips then this is your go-to place! Beer battered fish, and chips tasted fresh, light and great. Above all, a great service provided by Simon. Highly recommended!!!

We hadn't been to the Florentine for some time but we weren't disappointed. I had the lunch menu, posh fish fingers and Pat had a salad and we shared a pudding. Also had wine and a G & T. Most enjoyable with good service.

The food was of great quality. Our large table was provided for well - all food came out at similar times. Service was great and staff were warm & polite. Clean and inviting atmosphere. Highchair could have been more clean.

My daughter and I are staying at the florentine but got back late tonight. Too late to eat! But Lizzie, who has been super helpful throughout our stay, found a cosy space for us and made sure that the kitchen, that was closed, could make us something hot and tasty to eat. Soon chef Dave had rustled up lovely pizzas for us and we had drinks and dinner after all!! This is where The Florentine really excels. Helpful, friendly staff, willing to help! To go that extra mile. This makes your stay, or visit, feel friendly and like home from home. The staff really make the place. We have stayed 5 nights and all the people who work here have been very kind and extra helpful. Highly recommend!

We recently booked for a Christmas dinner. We had asked for the side room. When we arrived it took ages for anyone to even serve us for drinks . I was trying to ask a staff member something but was totally ignored. When it got to our meal time the side room was in use by someone else. When we did eventually ask we was told we had been moved. Then everything was running late. The food When we got it was good but not exceptional. Felt our booking should never have been taken as it was too busy to accommodate us properly. And also there was only about 3 bar / waiting staff for busy pub . We did get some money of final bill. But the girl seemed to struggle to work it out.

Took some clients out for lunch and the food was fantastic. I had bangers and mash and the my 2 clients both had different hand stretched pizzas, freshly made in the oven in front of you. Highly recommended.
