We left after no food arrived after 60 mins and the staff did not know when it would be served this was a pre booking not a walk in

Lovely place. Really like the pub inside and plenty of private outside seating too. Only downside....always seem to be short staffed.

Lovely service in the restaurant by Georgia. Food was exceptional. Cosy and cute atmosphere and nice beer garden for sunny days!

First time here to meet family. Took ages to find on the map as Google had it pinned a lot further up the road. I have submitted a map change to Google. Hopefully, all is okay now. The service and food were really good. I'd definitely recommend this place.

We have just returned from a 3 night stay at The Florentine Hotel in Sheffield. We were all delighted with the warm welcome from all staff, the excellent food, attentive service & clean, well appointed rooms. Many thanks!

Visited this pub restaurant on the off chance and was greeted by lovely members of staff who were warm & welcoming. I asked about needing a table to do some work & opted to sit in the restaurant as the food menu looked decent. I was given a nice table in a remote spot which gave me privacy to do my work and actually enjoy my lunch. The fish & chips was absolutely delicious, probably one of the best I’ve had in ages. The chocolate brownie sundae was delicious too. I’d like to say a big thank you to James as he made sure I was comfortable & enjoying my visit. I was not pressured to order multiple drinks and they were accommodating when I did want anything further. The staff are highly trained & have exceptional hospitality skills. I will be visiting again soon. Also lovely interior and exterior with a lovely natural garden back drop, ample car parking space.

Went tonight with 16 family members, great atmosphere food was excellent staff where friendly and helpful we will definitely go back again thank you .

Went for Sunday lunch with the family for my family members 80th birthday on Sunday the 27th of April absolutely amazing staff and amazing food everybody enjoyed their time there will definitely be back we'll highly recommend

We felt welcomed and were seated in a well lit area as was requested (one member of our party had to lip read). The service was timely and the food was exactly how we ordered and as expected. We had a very good experience.

Así que lo intenté de nuevo y fallé. Terminé pagando el precio completo por mis bebidas sin disculparme ni nada. Aparentemente no tienen control sobre la aplicación... ¡La aplicación debe controlarlos!

Decent pub grub but nothing special. Friendly staff

Hosted my daughter's 30th birthday dinner in the bigger private dining space. What a fantastic night we had. Food delicious and served with good timings. Staff were just great. They all cared that our food, drinks and experience was to our satisfaction. Simply could not have asked for more. Thank you. In particular I would like to thank Sam and Finn.

Hotel guest. Rooms are comfortable but not particularly clean. Toothpaste, water and finger marks on back of bathroom door, mould in shower heads and grouting, and generally dusty rooms.

Visited on Saturday afternoon for a drink with the wife, the disinterested that the barman had in us was unbelievable, I managed to order drinks, pay for them and walk off without the barman saying a single word to us, there was no (hello/what would you like/ that will be £20 please/thankyou/goodbye etc) I won’t be bothering with this place again

Lovely quaint little boutique hotel with a warm homey atmosphere. Staff were lovely and welcoming. Had a really nice stay here and if I find myself in the area again, would happily rebook this place

Bajé a tomar unas pintas al sol, abrí una pestaña y tomé unas copas geniales para ponerme al día con el SM. Decidí que necesitaba usar mi vale así que aventúrese adentro para papas fritas scampi y aros de cebolla. Que no sea nada de lo ordinario para un lector y de hecho todo fue muy bueno pero lo que realmente destaca es el personal. Soy inútil con el nombre (y la increíble Julie no estaba de servicio) pero honestamente me cuidaron TAN bien y me hicieron sentir bienvenido y valorado. El florentino brilla como faro de hospitalidad en Ranmoor.

Wonderful experience for Mothers Day lunch. The roast dinner and melting dome were our highlights! Also great service from the lovely waiters and waitresses.

Lamb was a little disappointing but everything else was beautiful and will definitely be eating there again, service fantastic views inside and out great

A Culinary Hostage Situation If you’re looking for a dining experience that truly tests your patience, look no further! We arrived with empty stomachs and left with deep philosophical questions about the passage of time. Two hours after ordering, I began to suspect we were part of a hidden-camera experiment on human endurance. When the food finally arrived, I half expected it to be fossilized. Sadly, it was just cold. I would have sent it back, but I feared it might be another presidential term before I saw it again. The waiter was friendly, though I assume that’s because he only had to see us once every lunar cycle. By the end of the meal, I had learned to forage for table crumbs and drink condensation off my glass for sustenance. Five stars for the survival training, but one star for the actual dining experience.

Top notch! My burger was magnificent and my apple and cherry crumble was outstanding! A bit expensive but it was good!

We often come to the Florentine on a Sunday and have the roast dinner. They do children's portions for the elderly which is great. The vegetables are perfect with roast carrot and parsnip. Massive Yorkshire pudding too. The Florentine is a lovely pub with beautiful decor and ample parking. Great service from Chelsea and Radians.

We had a party organised here and booked the private room. Staff were great, pizzas were lovely and the building is wonderful. Every had a great time.

Food half decent the wait is crazy long we asked when we arrived how long the wait was and was told 30 mins it took them a hour and 45 mins to get the food to us also had no pizza or turkey they also never apologies for the horrific delay I think they try keep you in longer to buy more drinks

Warmly welcomed by the manager Julie set the tone for a wonderful evening. 4 Adults, one being 80 and two dogs - our 80year old visiting Sheffield said ti was a delicious meal in a warm friendly atmosphere and we totally agree ! Good to see The Florentine busy but staff still smiling and ever present. Cant wait to return for to try more things on the new menu ! Thank you Julie and Team - you are all blooming marvellous 🤩

Staff were very friendly, food is overpriced and portions are very small. Soft drinks are extortionate! £8.20 for two glasses of Pepsi!

Cold Sunday lunch, no stuffing or crackling. Didn’t get a check back for us to say anything. The team lacked customer service. Wouldn’t return.

We thoroughly enjoyed our meal at The Florentine. Chelsea gave incredibly friendly and attentive service, nothing was too much trouble! The food was excellent and we are looking forward to our next visit.

I had a lovely experience, the food was very good quality and great portion sizes. Waiting times weren’t too long and atmosphere inside the restaurant was extremely enjoyable.

We were warmly welcomed and shown to our small room. Even though our table was booked for 7.00 we did take a little while to order our food. 10 minutes after we had placed our order we were told that our food would be at least 40 minutes and I estimate that it was actually longer than that. We didn't receive our food until 8.45 which some people found late to be eating. The restaurant was busy when we arrived but by the time we place our order it was not busy and we thought that this was too long wait for food in these circumstances. My fish and chip meal was OK. I would consider that the fish was overcooked and that there was a very small portion of mushy peas (the cheapest part of the meal). The chips were very good. Service was good.

We booked a table for 7.15 and didn’t receive our mains until 9pm once received they where then wrong. The service was lovely but they did not communicate with us on how long the food was taking to come out, it seemed a comment theme throughout the restaurant. Having one member of staff serving a very large section of the restaurant made timings very slow. We didn’t eat our mains and just left, will not be returning which is a shame as it is such a beautiful pub. With it being valentines weekend and so late we could not get a reservation elsewhere and ended up having to go home. Very disappointed

Lovely venue in Ranmoor (the most affluent suburb in the city). Bar service could be a little more attentive but the food and atmosphere is always great. Haven’t stayed at the hotel but my parents have and say the rooms are lovely. Make sure you ask for a room facing towards the car park as otherwise you may get one at the back with a limited view.

Excellent! We had a lovely meal, good quality & served hot with great presentation. Staff were fab - we were made very welcome & well looked after. Got the impression they all got on well, were happy in their job & genuinely wanted us to enjoy our visit. We really enjoyed it & will definitely be coming back 😊

Los platos principales fueron muy buenos, especialmente el asado dominical. Dos de nosotros comimos el mismo dulce que fue decepcionante "crumble de manzana y cereza". Las natillas eran preciosas, pero el bol de pudín contenía una mayoría de frutas de color rojo que realmente no sabían a ninguna fruta en particular y ciertamente no tenían ningún 'ponche' de sabor a cereza. La cobertura era una capa extremadamente delgada de lo que parecían migas de galleta / papilla desde el fondo de un recipiente. Esto no parecía que se hubiera horneado como un plato completo y ciertamente no se parecía al crumble. Era un día muy frío, así que había una corriente fría en el restaurante. El personal de servicio (teníamos al menos 5 ) era agradable y servicial, pero parecía un poco estirado, ya que esperamos mucho tiempo a que las bebidas se les diera la oportunidad de solicitar la factura. Nos beneficiamos de una promoción local del 30% de descuento en las comidas principales que suavizaron la mala relación calidad-precio del dulce. Volvería a visitar para probar uno de los otros principales, pero no me molestaré con un dulce por miedo a la decepción.

I have been visiting this restaurant for almost 12 years now and I can say the service is progressively getting worse. the staff have always been great and friendly and The food is good if you’re prepared to wait 2 hours for a meal. It’s a shame there used to be too many staff now just one per section. I can understand slow relaxed service but this isn’t that. Won’t be returning

Stayed out for valentines night with my husband the room.was very nice and comfortable. We have the three course set menu my husband had the steak that was cooked prefect. Prefect night and a great breakfast this morning. All staff was very polite. We will definitely be back.

It didn't seem like the Florentine we used to go to . The tables were full of empty glasses and crockery my husband had to take is lager back it was flat, waiting a long time to get served even though there was only one other person in the queue. Standards are not the same

Went on Sunday evening. Disappointed that there was no roast beef available. Also no pizzas available. Food was good - I had the roast - very nice but could have done with more vegetables.

The amazing staff at the Florentine came to our rescue after a run of bad luck meant we were let down by the original venue for our little one's much awaited birthday party. Despite our plea being very last minute, they kindly let us host in the private dining area. The staff were exceptionally helpful and kind, and the room was set up perfectly for a small party. There is ample parking space, and the whole venue worked perfectly. We are so grateful to the staff for helping making our little one's birthday party a reality, and highly recommend anyone looking for a venue to host a party to consider the Florentine! Thank you so much!

We walked up to the Florentine for a meal partly for Pat's birthday. Pat had a soft drink and I had some wine. The drinks were excellent and the food was good-we chose from the lunch menu. I like the interior of the Florentine and the service was friendly and efficient. Most enjoyable

A relaxed and comfortable place with a good atmosphere and friendly staff. Emily looked after us very well. We enjoyed the food which, with 30% off mains, was good value.

This hotel restaurant is truly amazing, attention to detail everywhere you look, room was well appointed, clean and had everything we needed. Evening meal was perfect, service spot on and food tasted great! Cannot recommend The Florentine enough if you’re staying in the area. Far superior to more run of the mill hotels!

AVOID THIS HOTEL - Checked out within an hour of arrival Hotel could not provide our booked room and so put us in a cheaper rate room without informing us either before arrival or at check in. When we queried it (showing them pictures the room we were in online) they said it was actually now more expensive to stay in that so we couldn’t be refunded. Staff and manager could not have been less interested in resolving it, we had to get Expedia involved and the hotel then complained to us about that! The manager then told us she would waive our first night fee due to quick check out…I lack words for that. Extremely dishonest behaviour. Aside from the rude staff, the room was dirty (large mud stains across the carpet) and sealed windows with fur on them. Bathroom was absolutely freezing and had 1 towel. Hotel is a lot more run down and dated than pictures suggest. We have never complained at a hotel before and have never left one before, but we felt so strongly about how awful this hotel was.

Fantastic evening celebrating our friends baby shower. Staff were very helpful, friendly and attentive. Buffet was delicious and plenty of choice for our group. We were grateful for the extra room for our food to be served and the private room we used was perfect for our party. Thank you very much to all the team.

Great service, lovely atmosphere but food was very underwhelming, sweet potato and chickpea curry was bland and watered down and the naan bread did not taste fresh and for the price you pay, disappointing. The female toilets also had an unpleasant smell.

We enjoyed our lunch.The service was good. Lovely fresh fish + crisp chips with decent tartare sauce and fresh peas, a delicious dessert all of which were sensible portion sizes ending with a very good cappuccino. For the quality the meal was very good value especially as we ate in a light airy restaurant with mullioned windows, tall ceilings and at a table that overlooked the snowy garden. The only niggle was that snow and ice still covered the car park and there wasn’t a a cleared pathway from the car park ( one of us uses a walking stick) to the restaurant so we drove to the front of the building but the area below the steps and the main drive had still not been thoroughly cleared making it hazardous for guests. Get out the spades otherwise your satisfied diners might come a cropper!

Visited today as the closest place to our Air BnB and looked pretty smart. Firstly I’ll say, it was pretty busy as we walked in, which we took it as a great sign. A few rowdy drinkers, but we managed to find a table but there were a fair few empty glasses (must have just been vacated!) my wife took a seat and once I was served at the bar, I made the bartender aware & he was a gem - took a second to pop out and sorted the table for us! As former hospo, it was greatly appreciated! We asked for recommendations on the menu, which were kindly given & we looked over the offerings. We finally chose and ordered with the same bartender - turns out he’s one of the managers! Introduced himself as Ant and to let him know how my steak was! He remembered our drinks order as I waited the third time, despite being quite busy! Overall the food was decent but honestly felt very looked after which made the visit. We have a busy weekend, but will visit before we leave to catch Ant & buy him a beer!

Haven’t heard great reviews about the food beforehand, but decided to give it another try. Such a long wait on the food, pizza was cold, messed up a kids order and never received the second order of chips bear in mind the place wasn’t busy. Also, payment was taken on order which I don’t agree with.

Been to the florentine many times and have enjoyed it each time I’ve visited! Violet was our server today and she was really welcoming, hospitable and a lovely server!

We called ahead after visiting another local establishment which was full. We wanted to sit down after a lovely walk at Rivelin Valley and enjoy food and a drink for 5 adults and 4 children. We were welcomed by friendly staff and offered a private side room which was perfect for the youngest children to roam whilst we were sat down. Due to the warm welcome we all ordered main meals as opposed to nibbles, a mixture of burgers, steak and pizzas. Everyone enjoyed their food. The atmosphere was lovely and we would definitely visit again if we went for another local walk!

We have our family Christmas eve breakfast here every year and it's always been wonderful. Great communication when booking and sending preorders, fabulous service and excellent food. Our group seems to get bigger each year. 27 this year! Thank you again

The atmosphere was warm and welcoming. The service was polite and efficient. For my meal, I ordered the roast turkey, which was fine, however nothing special. The crumble for dessert was nice and a good finish to the meal. Overall, the meal was good but it didn’t quite stand out in any major way. If you’re looking for a simple, no-fuss meal, Florentine is a good choice, but don’t expect anything too special. I’d say it’s a solid option if you're in the area.

Have just had the best Christmas Day dinner we have ever had in our lives at The Florentine. We have eaten out several times over the years on Christmas Day and have never had such an exceptional Christmas Day dinner, or in fact, such a delicious roast anywhere else on any day in the year. We had both vegetarian and roast beef options on our table and both were equally impressive. The flavours of every single dish were absolutely incredible! The flavours from the carrots to the gravy, yorkshire puddings and main course came alive in your mouth. Whoever has sourced the ingredients has found the highest quality and it absolutely shows. The cooking and preparation of the food was gorgeous and the Christmas pudding was delicate yet flavourful, with a combination of vanilla, red currants and brandy all popping in your mouth. Even the Pinot Grigio on the drinks menu was impeccably chosen. The side dishes were very generous portion sizes, too. No skimping. Absolutely quality service and food at every stage. The mains and desserts were particularly brilliant. Steve and Violet served us and were both really lovely. We were in the last sitting so a hard part of the day for the waiting team and yet they were very warm, friendly and efficient, without being over the top or too pushy. Both were very on it without making you feel rushed at all. The manager was lovely too and obviously cared about both his customers and staff a lot. Genuine and heartfelt compliments to the chef, waiting staff and all the cooking team and anyone involved in creating the menu and food for such delicious dishes! I have never been so enthusiastic after a meal!

Very nice setting and a well looked after restaurant. The food surpassed expectations, all 8 of us really enjoyed our meals. Staff were all very pleasant and helpful.
