A very nice place with a bar and lots of world cuisine stalls. We went to the Greek, the falafels are OK. On the other hand, the Little Dough pizzeria does not serve on site, only deliveries, the opposite of the concept of the place!

Great place if you fancy a bit of variety with all the different food venues. Chairs aren't all that comfortable so if you have a bad back it's not the best place for you but they're fine otherwise. Service is fast, it's text or buzzer service but it only takes a few minutes to be ready. I'd definitely recommend for a pre-drink place to fill up!

Favourite place to eat. Situated in a reclaimed industrial area its central(ish) location is easily accessible and benefits from an insurgent cultural regeneration. A food hall on two levels with plenty of alternatives for all palates, it has a genuinely unpretentious charm which admittedly appeals to my preference for the unpretentious. If it disappoints you I suspect you have no soul.

We ate at Cutlery Work on the 18th Oct 2024 around 8pm, it wasn't too busy and we managed to get a seat quite easily. The tables are bench style and the seating is quite high so if you are in a wheelchair it might be worthwhile contacting Cutlery Works first so they can arrange suitable seating for you. The Cutlery Work is located outside of the clean air zone but if you're driving there be careful which route you take to it as you may inadvertently enter into the clean air zone. There is parking near the Cutlery Works however all parking is street parking and it can be quite difficult to find a space to park. Cutlery Works is 2 floors, the ground floor is where the food vendors and a bar are located. The first floor is mainly seating, there is another food stall and a bar and, when we were there, there were a few local maker stalls. I think I recall seeing a lift up to the first floor but I'm not 100% sure. Downstairs there was a Greek food stall, a chicken food stall, a pizza food stall, a Japanese food stall, an Indian food stall and a couple of other food stalls but I can't remember what type of food they were selling. I can't recall what food stall was upstairs. I had a chicken gyros and it was delicious, which was priced £8.95. My brother and niece both had a chicken burger, chicken wings and drumsticks, and chips. I think the chicken burger alone was £15. I don't know how much the fries and chicken wings / drumsticks were but they were delicious. All of the chicken was in a KFC style coating. My partner had a woodfire pizza. Cutlery Works is child friendly, my niece is 7 years old and she loved it. You can either scan a QR code at the table to view the menus from all of the food stalls and place your order or you can order at the actual food stall itself. The same for the bar. Myself and my brother both ordered at the food stalls, my partner ordered via the QR code. Mine and my brother's food was ready before my partner's. When the Cutlery Works first opened both floors were full of food stalls but now there is only one floor full of food stalls. I don't know whether the food stalls change on a regular basis as I've only eaten there 3 times since it opened but the experience has got better each time I've been.

Love this place! I've been in the evenings to drink and eat with friends and also through the days for co working space and unlimited tea/ coffee deals - great meeting spot in Sheffield for co working! Order food via the app, get notified when to collect - simple! Only problem can be parking...It's not that there aren't places to park but you kind of need to know the area. There isn't a good quality paid car park/multi story around here and the council seem to be putting double yellows on some streets to make it more difficult to park too...it's a shame BUT you can find parking if you are happy to potter around the side streets.

Very busy and lively, even with Peddlars Market going on round the corner and road works outside the door. A great range of food available for veggies and meat fans, with Greek, Vietnamese, Indian and Mexican amongst others, and the only downside was the lengthy waiting times for food - we were quoted half an hour and it was over an hour. But with plenty of drinks and a great atmosphere it's not a terrible place to wait!

I’ve been here in the past and it’s been ok. But now they seemingly don’t bring the food to the table anymore. £18 for a pizza that I’ve got to collect from the kitchen myself? I don’t see the point of this place. If I’m paying restaurant prices I’ll just go to one. Typical modus operandi these days. Make something good and then make it steadily worse until nobody goes anymore. This place will be closed soon.

My current favourites being Saiko Sushi / Hot Chick / Ma-Ba and Konjo. I'm not really a drinker so come specifically for the food its a great location if you want to try out several different cuisines in one session, Easy to order just do it through the app or at the tills.

I had Jimmy’s burgers & my friend had hot chick. The food was great for both of us… But the place was dirty - we even saw a mouse run across the room later on. Tables very sticky and yucky which for a Thursday evening was surprising as it really wasn’t very busy. We were also asked to get ready to leave at 8:55 when the venue doesn’t close til 10pm so that was a bit frustrating. Music very loud. Sadly despite tasty food I won’t be returning in a hurry.

Basically a collection of takeaway vendors, order via a QR code, then collect from the vendor and eat a table. I feel slightly bad leaving 2 stars as the food was really good but my experience with the drinks was very negative. I think the coke gun had run out of syrup as the two we ordered tasted like water, when I went back to query this I was told it's fine and I probably only think that because it's an off brand version. Setting aside a 3.50 coke which isn't even Coca-Cola, I've never come across an off brand which just tasted like water. When I complained about it to a different member of staff they said they'd go and sort it but proceeded to never come back and avoid eye contact the rest of the time we were there. Great food, poor customer service.

I've never seen this exact setup before. Its like a collection of street food vendors all in one... inside street? So, there are multiple venders that each have their own cuisine, we had the choice of Thai, Indian, Burgers, Chicken, Pizza, African, and a few others that I cant remember. You pop onto the Cutlery Works app or browser and order all together from your table. I ordered chicken from one place, my daughter, a pizza from another, and her partner a burger from another joint. After a short wait, you get a message from each place telling you youre food is ready, you go and pick it up. All 3 of our meals from 3 different vendors were exceptional, we thoroughly enjoyed each of them. Looking at what was coming out of the other kitchens, I feel I would have been on for a winner no matter what or where we ordered from. Apparently the vendors do change from time to time, so that keeps things fresh and mixed up too. Definitely worth a return visit, again, and again, and again. Note: Be careful on Google Maps, if multiple pop up, you want this one: 73 – 101 Neepsend Ln, Neepsend, Sheffield S3 8AT

Been here quite a few times, food is always good and service is prompt. The food ordering app is usually good but has some querks. They used to give you points to discount food but this doesn't seem to work anymore. There is a small kids play area which needs some improvement but is better than nothing. The only thing that let's the place down is the bar service which in my experience is extremely slow at any time. EDIT. They have now removed table service as an option which has downgraded the experience. If you are eating in groups some one is missing most of the time collecting food. I also come often with my child, which means having to take him with me to collect food and leaving our stuff unattended at the table.

Food and Vendors are amazing. However, someone has made a silly decision to get rid of waiting staff so now you have to get the food yourself. It was very busy and if all your table has ordered from different vendors you lose your table as it's seen as empty. Also if you're going to socialise with friends and have a meal. Someone is always missing whenever part of their order is ready. Won't be going back. Would rather a place you can go and relax with your friends then fighting around crowded places to grab your food and not lose your table.

We were hesitant to visit given some of the recent reviews, and actually delayed our visit from last weekend because of this, and the 2 hour journey each way with a six month old baby, but in the end we decided to just go with it, bearing in mind what some of the reviews had mentioned. And I am so glad we did, the food was absolutely incredible! We will definitely be returning to try some of the other stalls and revisit some of the dishes we had this time. We ate from Konjo and the food was outstanding. We were advised 25-30minute wait for food and 24 mins later it was ready. Was really reasonably priced as well and the bar wasn’t too expensive for drinks either. We will definitely return. Below I have addressed some of the issues mentioned in other reviews and our experience. Parking - it is residential and there are a few dilapidated buildings around. But it’s free! We have a fairly large car and didn’t struggle to find a space on a Saturday afternoon. It’s on your left outside of some flats just before the river, a short walk to cutlery works. We didn’t find this a problem. However if you have children, it’s worth noting it’s a busy junction with no pedestrian crossing so just to bear that in mind. Reservations/service - when we arrived there was a sign out on the desk saying if you had a reservation to check in but if you were a walk in to walk in and find a seat that didn’t have a sign on. We hadn’t reserved and there was plenty of free seating upstairs and downstairs. When we left there was a sign out saying please wait to be seated where it was obviously getting a little busier. We had no issues whatsoever with service, we found everyone very friendly and helpful and they were all working very hard to keep the place clean and tidy. Smiles everytime they passed and offers of a highchair for our baby. Toilets were lovely and baby change facilities. The staff did also mention that the evening would get a lot busier. Ordering - after mentions of the app being terrible we decided to order at the counter. This worked perfectly for us and the food arrived exactly as we had been advised and was delicious. My husband was given a buzzer which went off when the food was ready to collect. The venue is cashless though so be prepared they won’t accept cash even if you order at the counters. There was no order fee when ordering at the counter. If you’re thinking of going just do it!! We weren’t disappointed, but maybe reading the reviews beforehand helped manage our expectations and as such we were pleasantly surprised as we didn’t experience any of the issues that had been mentioned. We will return!

Most of the restaurants where closed despite saying vendors close at 9pm! (In times when small business say they are struggling I find this baffling) They have also stopped table service so you know have to serve your own food. Safe to say I will be taking a my custom elsewhere in future!

Updating my review after a few years and unfortunately Cutlery Works isn't what it used to be. The food from the vendors is still very good but the number of vendors seems to have reduced to make way for more seating so the choice isn't as good as it was. One of the biggest draws was the ability to order food or drink via the website/app and have it arrive at your table from any of the vendors. That's gone and been replaced by a £1 charge to order via the app and self collection from the vendors. Not great if it's a trek away. Drinks have also gone from the app so it's queuing at the bar as the only option. If you do order food, go to the vendor to avoid the charge. The ventilation still hasn't been resolved so you always come out smelling of cooking fat and despite aircon units appearing they don't seem to be used so it's still like a greenhouse. Admittedly some of its negatives have always been there but new ones have crept in and old ones not addressed so won't be rushing to go back.

I go regularly. These guys are busy and for good reason. The best food hall in Sheffield and award winning across the country. You can order via the app or just go direct to vendors, which I would advise. Great food, great atmosphere, and great choice for groups

We booked a table - but needn’t have . I found a member of staff to ask about our booking - she said - I don’t have any booking info - so sit where you like . ( what was the point in booking a table and handing o er card details?!) Ordered food on our phones using the QR codes . One of us had a burger first - very nice if not a little expensive . Next the Korean food ready - delicious - but I ate alone whilst the others waiting for a pizza . The pizza took 1 hour as only one baked at a time . Overall the food nice but very pricey . Each order had to pay £1 order fee separately. Venue doesn’t work for a family - unless you all eat from the same vendor . Avoid the pizza . A family next to us must have spent over £60 on pizza - again all cooked separately so clearly cold !

Tough one to review if I'm being honest. The food is always great, no matter the vendor. drinks are expensive too, which is the case most places nowadays. My problem is the service, or lack of it. I think they're on their 3rd online order platform to date, and it just seems to get worse every time. On the original, at least you earned points for orders, which you could redeem for food/drink, so at least there was some reward for putting up with a web based menu. What has happened now is there is no table service either so you have to hoof it for your food; which isn't the worst thing if you're ordering for yourself from one location, on the same floor. but if you're putting multiple orders in from different vendors, you're looking at around 6000 steps when you actually want to be sat enjoying some good food. You now also pay a service charge if you use the online order system... for no actual service. So order from the vendor face to face, or you'll be charged an extra quid per order.

Booked a table for 14 but was given separate tables so my partner asked if it possible to push the tables together. He was met by one of the hosts being rather rude and responding “Have you ever been here before, obviously it’s a no” which was incredibly unnecessary. Obviously I completely understand that they were busy but there were politer ways of saying it. Terrible service that put a damper on the night.

No point booking as no one is at the front desk to show you your table or validate your booking. Have to queue at bar to “check in” and when you eventually get to the front they just tell you to find any table so pointless. They seemed to have changed their ordering app which doesn’t work well and doesn’t accept apple or google pay even though it’s listed. Long wait for food, one vender even “forgot” about our order… When using the bar they forgot drinks and we had to remind them of what we just ordered. Having to collect your order isn’t very efficient and takes away from the experience of going out for food with friends. Made worse by having to go up and down the stairs depending on where you order from. Many tables were left stacked with glasses and plates that took ages to be cleared making the place look dirty. Tables are often sticky too. Given this place the benefit of the doubt by going back a few times since it went to collection only, but it seems to have just gotten worse. Don’t think I’ll be in a hurry to return

Used to be good but gone massively downhill. Now there is no table service so you have to order and go grab your food and drinks yourself - painful when ordering across multiple vendors across various floors. I booked a table, nobody at front desk, bar staff said to ‘sit wherever you can find a seat’ - it was busy, what’s the point in booking if there’s no seats? Online ordering / app is a pain and hit / miss. Food was VERY average and expensive for the quality. Again, used to be good. Loads of tables covered with dirty plates / glasses so customers were clearing them themselves so they could sit down. There is literally NO service here. We used to go regularly, now will absolutely avoid. Reservation number BP74WJL2 for validity.

I went to the Cutlery Works for a friend’s birthday and couldn’t decide which drinks to order. A lovely member of staff named Alex was helpful and friendly enough to give recommendations and help us out, aswell as making friendly chat and offering us food recommendations also. Had a lovely time and she made our night!

Have enjoyed cutlery works many times previously with no problems. However I have slowly witnessed a decline in service. My partner and I booked a table for 2. On arrival the sign said to check in at the bar. It was incredibly busy and took 20 minutes for us to get to the front of the queue as there were only 2 bartenders on a busy evening just before a bank holiday. We asked about our booking and were told yeah that's fine, just sit anywhere in the venue. This is not a reservation. This is disappointing considering the booking site takes your card details and threatens to charge you for a no show. We then ordered our drinks and went to find a table. The only one at that time I could find that didn't have a reserved sign on was downstairs in close proximity to the toilet which isn't where we wanted to sit when we went to the effort to book a table. We then ended up sharing a table with two other customers to finish our drinks. However we were on a date night so didn't stay to order any food. Which is annoying as i think the food vendors are amazing. Overall, a very disappointing experience, if people have made a booking you need to save them a table else what's the point in having a booking system! It appeared to me when I was looking for a table that only bookings for larger tables were honoured. I wonder what would have happened if we couldn't have found a table at all even though we had booked.

Poor pizza I was advertised a large margarita and after seeing the 2 other pizzas my family had order I got excited then I saw my pizza come out and low and behold it’s about an inch larger than the children’s one I was disappointed by the size of the pizza and went hungry that day

We had a family meal today, if I've read the receipt correctly, we were served by Reece. Very friendly and nice chap, patient with the dynamics of different folk in our group and an all round asset to the restaurant. Food was good, standard PIzza Express which is nice as you know what you're getting. It was super busy due to some issue with their booking system but the staff were working like troopers and making sure the guests weren't affected. No complaints other than the fact that I didn't spot the 'optional' service charge for parties of over 7 adults but that's on me so I ended up tipping twice.
