Portions are ridiculous really. 15 quid for a little bit of beef and rice at salt and pepper co. Ridiculous really

Came here during my visit to Sheffield out of a friend's recommendation. Love every part of it! We ordered from Greek Gods, Viet Da Nang, and Jimmy's Burgers. All the food was delicious and the staff were very friendly! I ate the chicken gyros and it was really appetising. I also ordered a mocktail from the bar. I must give credit to the bartender (who said he was new but indeed did a fantastic job) for the refreshing and delectable drink. He was also very friendly and understanding (assuring me that the mocktail was definitely zero alcohol). Thank you! 😊

We found this place after someone else had shouted about it online and we decided we had to try! It didn’t disappoint, so many different foods to try and all the foods we tried were amazing also some good options as most of the food places did kids meals and options too. So much for everyone, we went on a Sunday and busy. Parking you can park on the street for a couple of pounds which is more than worth it. Only downside we found which isn’t a deal breaker but means we wouldn’t go really often is the food can be quite pricey and you don’t get loads for portion size we spent a lot more than we expected to. The bar was pricey too not somewhere you could stay for drinks in the evening due to prices but for occasions etc we will visit again!

The Japanese restaurant served superb sushi and sashimi. Highly recommended. Beer very expensive and at lunchtime when we went only the downstairs bar was open. Coffee counter shut early so no coffee. We went on a Friday lunchtime and it was almost empty. Maybe it's busier in the evening?

Amazing food places and super fun vibe. Everyone can get something different. It’s nice that you can work there in the day and they do brunch and coffee. They do events and stuff too it feels like a community third space where you can chill. Only thing is that I do agree with people that the tables are all dirty and sticky had to find someone to wipe it and they didn’t do a good job sleeves still stuck.

Visited many times over the years, I came recently and it was the saddest experience we've ever had and we will not be returning. Most of the vendors have changed so we were excited to see what the new places had to offer, we ordered from the pizza place, Mexican and the greek. In comparison to the vendors they've had before they have taken a massive step down in quality and an OUTRAGEOUS price hike. The pizza place, the old place was wood fired and brought a nice ambience, the food was great honest pizza. This new one is all style over substance and the quality is terrible. Not to mention a 45 minute wait for a margarita at lunch time? Burnt yet raw, half melted cheese, they need to get staffing sorted they're like headless chickens. Clueless. £16 a pizza too?!? The Mexican i was most excited about, the food had no flavour and small portions. There was a sprinkling of garnish and it was old. Plenty of better Mexicans in Sheffield with bigger portions and way more flavour. £14 for loaded fries?!? The Greek was the best of the lot, large portions and it was fresh. We had a chicken gyros and it was great. Plenty of meat, fresh salad, crispy chips!! Would order on uber eats next time. The owners new plan is obviously vitality trying to get people into cutlery works as the place was so empty when we visited it was so sad to see. It's not working, the seats are uncomfortable, the building has no atmosphere. There's no where to park anymore either, don't bother.

Great food, great atmosphere. Wait times are a little long

Went here today with friends as all wanted something a bit different. However it's not great. Not so good points 5 of us ordered wanting to all eat together- this didn't happen.some of us had already had our food and eaten it whilst others were still waiting for theirs. 2 of us ordered from the carribean place however this was very disappointing. Firstly 2 of us ordered from here and it took such a long time. After 40 mins we went to counter was told would be 6 mins and both would be done together. We waited 10 mins and 1 of us was given our food. The other they told us would be another 5 minutes (it was actually another 20 mins) One of us paid £26.99 for a meal (we did consider sharing it thinking it would be better for 2 - good job we didn't!) The portions were small. The rice taste burnt. The chicken and beef skewers were cold and chewing and hard. Not Luke warm but cold! The rice had no flavour or spice to it. The dumpling was hard and too chewy. Was not enough 1 person small portion sizes for price. And was definitely not worth the money unfortunately. The QR code you order on could potenitally be a good thing however despite all ordering at same time none of the food was ready at the same time. It also does not allow you to remove items so another member of our party could not remove an item off a burger. The majority of seating is high stools which are hard to sit on for long periods of times and generally no atmosphere (we went on a Saturday night) The food is over priced one of the party paid £14 for loaded fries. There is also 1 way systems and bus gates installed around area so this could be an issue. There is parking but from what I saw had double yellow lines. Not disabled friendly as have to go back and forth to collect food and different place for drinks Place is more like a food market! To top it off you also get charged £1 per order for processing fee... but you have to go and collect it yourself! Good bits Erm.... the staff at the carribean was nice and friendly enough even though we did complain. The jerk chicken seemed OK Friends or family you go with! It's indoors Would i return? No i would not Would i recommend it? Unfortunately not. Overpriced, too long waits, all eat different times, not good for disabled people going up and down stairs to collect food. Stools uncomfortable. Better places in the area or short distance away to eat.

Visiting here currently sat having dinner, I tried the tacos omg they are terrible! The smell is weird the taste even weirder and the price is out of this world!! Such a waste of money! Everything is way overly priced so expect to remortgage your house to eat here. You’ll leave hungry, disappointed and a bankrupt. We won’t be returning.

Had a fantastic lunchtime visit last week. The place was quiet with it being midweek lunch. Service and speed were great. Beer and food tasted fantastic

The food was amazing 🤩 plenty of choice and the staff are all very friendly. We loved the atmosphere as it’s very relaxed and casual would highly recommend!

Visited on a Saturday evening with friends and our children and I just don't know what has happened to the Cutlery Works. No atmosphere at all, uncomfortable seating and smelly. Needs new management ASAP the place is dire. That being said however, my friend had a nice meal from the upstairs mexican they said it was really nice but could have been a bigger portion I think for the price! Prices are outrageous the kids shared a pizza as I could not justify spending 26 on pizza! Same with my burger very expensive I had a sad burger just was very bland even with sauce. Disappointing as a few years ago this was a great spot hopefully the owners will bring it back to where it was soon.

Had an original pizza that the Leopard Pie guy made and it was delicious. Service was incredible and atmosphere was chill.

Lovely place great food great lots of choice

Visited on a Saturday afternoon for a beer and food with my two bros, and it’s was a relaxed atmosphere with plenty of tables. You order food at the tables through a QR Code, and there are plenty of options. The burger at Jimmy’s burger was really good and so I’d recommend that if you’re up for a burger. Lots of fries served, too. It’s not a mind blowing venue like some reviews say, but it’s pleasant and good for big groups, including family / kids.

I went in on Friday with partner and our dog. The staff were really nice, helped us out with the app and got us a water bowl for the dog. My partner and I shared a veggie thali from Ma-Ba and a Zawadi combo meal. Both were excellent. Great food, staff and atmosphere. Would definitely recommend!

Me sentí obligado a dejar esta reseña, aunque no me gusta hacerlo. Visitó dos veces en el espacio de una semana los días 2 y 7 de febrero. La primera vez que visité nada estaba siendo eliminado. La segunda visita fue aún peor! El estado de las mesas era el mismo que la última vez y tuve que caminar a 3 restaurantes diferentes solo para encontrar un tenedor , , , WHos responsables de dirigir este lugar. Lo único bueno que toda la experiencia pudo reunir fue el nuevo lugar de tacos que también fue la única razón por la que volví

What has happened to Cutlery Work recently? Went last night to try to the new Taco place and whilst Fuego’s food was nice, it was the setting and service that is really letting the place down. Couldn’t find any forks or napkins anywhere and the place was freezing. Just wasn’t a nice atmosphere to spend any time in really. It’s a shame but easily rectified if the owners listen.

Fue el lugar perfecto para disfrutar de una mañana relajada con sus seres queridos. Lo que más destacó fue el personal amable y atento. Fueron más allá para asegurarse de que teníamos todo lo que necesitábamos, lo que hizo la experiencia aún más agradable. Sé que recientemente dejaron de ofrecer servicio de mesa, pero teníamos niños con nosotros y el personal nos ayudó a llevar nuestra comida arriba. El ambiente en general era cálido y acogedor, por lo que es una gran opción para una comida familiar. Recomiendo encarecidamente Cutlery Works para un sabroso brunch con buen servicio!

Fui el domingo a las 2 de la tarde para un brunch mientras mi amigo quería comer en Leopard Pie. El lugar del almuerzo había cerrado por el día (¿a las 2 pm?) y Leopard Pie ni siquiera ha abierto todavía. Podría haber dicho eso en el sitio, bonito. Así que busqué en la aplicación comida que no quería. Usted tiene que pagar £ 1 cargo por servicio, luego ir y recogerlo usted mismo. No recuerdo haber entregado mi CV, pero aparentemente trabajo allí y les pago £ 1 por mi propio servicio. Entonces quería pedir un café, no estaba pagando otra £ 1 para ir a hacer mi propio servicio de mesa en otro lugar. Así que subí y lo pedí, me fui con un timbre, volví a buscarlo, etc. Me despegó de los pies en este punto. De todos modos, mientras buscaba comida que no quería, tuve que soportar el hecho de que la sala de comidas se estaba convirtiendo gradualmente en una fiesta del Manchester Hacienda de 1990, no me sorprendería ver a todos confiando en sustancias ilegales para evitar pagar un £ 1 en la aplicación cada vez que quieren algo. Fui al bar a tomar agua. No había nadie. No me sorprendería que estuviera trabajando detrás de la barra en este punto. Había una llovizna de agua en un frasco, no encontraba personal para llenarlo. Me incliné al salir con el poco dinero que me quedaba.

Really poor experience on Sunday 26th Jan. No tap water upstairs at all, so had to take the lid off and tilt the huge container to get anything out the top. No staff on the bar to help either. The music was blasting rave dance music at 2pm on a Sunday. No thank you. The place I wanted to visit had closed down, and the one in its place hasn't even opened yet. £1 extra fee to pay on the app? Why? Really gone downhill. Wouldn't go again. My friend also had hair in food 🫠

Me and my girlfriend recently went to Cutlery Works on a Saturday afternoon. I ordered curried goat that was £16.99, The curry itself was, luke warm and inedibly salty and was served with what seemed to be generic microwaved rice. My partner ordered Bánh mì with tofu which came in a cheap processed baguette with one piece of tofu in each bit of bread. All in all a very overpriced and disappointing meal. Would not recommend, I don’t normally leave reviews but thought I ought to let people know. I’ve enjoyed eating here in the past but it seriously missed the mark this time.

Fui a la hora del té, así que muy tranquilo. Imagino que podría ser bastante caótico en momentos de mucho trabajo. Así que es como el patio de comidas en Meadowhall, pero mejor comida (sin cadenas alimentarias importantes), situado en un entorno ligeramente mejor (post-industrial), y no tan grande. Probé el indio. Excelente calidad. Porciones razonables. Muchas alternativas (unas 10 cocinas) parecían igual de tentadoras. Es un poco caro para mí (£ 10 - £ 15 ) pero supongo que hay que pagar por una mejor calidad y la individualidad. Mi única queja es que en la sala principal (planta baja) no se puede tomar una taza de té o café. Tengo que subir y bajarlo. Qué palabrería. Buen trabajo, fue tranquilo. Oh, £3 por una oferta de té (casi tres tazas).

After seeing a review on YouTube. My wife and I thought the Greek menu looked appealing. I went today Monday 20/01/2025 and arrived at 15.45 only to find it closed and in darkness despite the website stating it was open 09.00 am to 21.00 pm. To say I was annoyed is an understatement having travelled half way across Sheffield. Abysmal customer service, needless to say I will take my custom elsewhere. Just had our first meal here. Fantastic

Been going here since day one and always enjoyed going, but feel that it’s lost its charm recently ,, the food isn’t as good as it used to be, you get less food but the prices go up and tables are not kept clean for when you arrive. The old sushi place was so much better and cheaper, best place there is the MaBa curry place. Really hope it gets its charm back like the old days when there was table service.

Really good food. It's fun that you can order from different places. The air is super greasy tho. Meaning, your clothes will smell like greasy food.

What a dreadful place. The omens were there - roadworks, difficult to find, scarce parking. My persistence was rewarded by the grim sight of empty tables and miserable staff. There were 2 other customers, who looked unhappy. The staff cast a baleful eye towards me. Used the bathroom, peed, peed off.

I visited with two friends for a pre-Christmas get together and really enjoyed it. I ate from the Greek vendor and the food was delicious. I did notice that some mixers from the bar weren’t available on the app, but soon solved by going up in person.

5 of us went to get something to eat and all 5 had different meals ,I had jerk chicken and it was delicious.

Not for me. Maybe I’m too old fashioned but it’s too Impersonal. Choice is fine but I like a menu and a waiter/waitress to take my order. Gets loud.

What a great place to go for food, it's like a trip round the globe! Plenty of options for everyone and there's a bar that has a good choice of drinks as well. Definitely worth a visit if you love food courts.

I had a burger from the burger vendor. It was very average, the fries were way too salty and for nearly £17 was very overpriced. Nice chilled atmosphere though. I'd go again but I'd definitely try a different vendor.

Cutlery Works is a cozy and welcoming place with a lot to choose when it comes to cuisine and drinks. I have been here so many times and it's definitely one of my favourite places to eat. The location is always clean and the staff are always kind and accommodating. The food here is extremely good and my personal favourite was Edo Sushi, which has been replaced by Saiko Sushi now and is still so good. I'd highly recommend the salmon or duck don bowls as they are both filling and incredibly tasty.

Put some proper extraction in... it's ridiculous that it's still an issue here.

Recommend Zawadi. The curry goat meal with jollof rice is great.

Popped in for quick lunch and had a tasty expensive small burger. Very relaxed vibe plenty street parking.

We had a bit of a mixed experience - shame we only select one overall score. We went as a family group of 6 (plus child). The staff were very helpful in seating us and finding a nice clean high chair. It was great there was a little persons play area, though it would have been nicer if this were a bit larger and perhaps the toys curated a bit better - rather than what felt like a job lot from a charity shop!. Obviously with ordering from different stands, one expects things to arrive at different times - but the wait difference was massive. The quality of the food though was excellent, and I would have given 5* for this. But the most frustrating aspect was the app which they use to order the food. It took us about 10 min to find one of our phones which would work through the whole process. We mainly had problems in getting payment cards registered, and the (free) wifi kept on dropping out and interrupting the process. When we finally got a phone to connect, it was all fins - but it took us about 10 min of frustration to get to that point.

Enjoyed the vibrant atmosphere and the mousaka from the Greek kitchen. A good range of local brews. Recommend Heathen IPA 🍺

A very nice place with a bar and lots of world cuisine stalls. We went to the Greek, the falafels are OK. On the other hand, the Little Dough pizzeria does not serve on site, only deliveries, the opposite of the concept of the place!

Great place if you fancy a bit of variety with all the different food venues. Chairs aren't all that comfortable so if you have a bad back it's not the best place for you but they're fine otherwise. Service is fast, it's text or buzzer service but it only takes a few minutes to be ready. I'd definitely recommend for a pre-drink place to fill up!

We ate at Cutlery Work on the 18th Oct 2024 around 8pm, it wasn't too busy and we managed to get a seat quite easily. The tables are bench style and the seating is quite high so if you are in a wheelchair it might be worthwhile contacting Cutlery Works first so they can arrange suitable seating for you. The Cutlery Work is located outside of the clean air zone but if you're driving there be careful which route you take to it as you may inadvertently enter into the clean air zone. There is parking near the Cutlery Works however all parking is street parking and it can be quite difficult to find a space to park. Cutlery Works is 2 floors, the ground floor is where the food vendors and a bar are located. The first floor is mainly seating, there is another food stall and a bar and, when we were there, there were a few local maker stalls. I think I recall seeing a lift up to the first floor but I'm not 100% sure. Downstairs there was a Greek food stall, a chicken food stall, a pizza food stall, a Japanese food stall, an Indian food stall and a couple of other food stalls but I can't remember what type of food they were selling. I can't recall what food stall was upstairs. I had a chicken gyros and it was delicious, which was priced £8.95. My brother and niece both had a chicken burger, chicken wings and drumsticks, and chips. I think the chicken burger alone was £15. I don't know how much the fries and chicken wings / drumsticks were but they were delicious. All of the chicken was in a KFC style coating. My partner had a woodfire pizza. Cutlery Works is child friendly, my niece is 7 years old and she loved it. You can either scan a QR code at the table to view the menus from all of the food stalls and place your order or you can order at the actual food stall itself. The same for the bar. Myself and my brother both ordered at the food stalls, my partner ordered via the QR code. Mine and my brother's food was ready before my partner's. When the Cutlery Works first opened both floors were full of food stalls but now there is only one floor full of food stalls. I don't know whether the food stalls change on a regular basis as I've only eaten there 3 times since it opened but the experience has got better each time I've been.

Favourite place to eat. Situated in a reclaimed industrial area its central(ish) location is easily accessible and benefits from an insurgent cultural regeneration. A food hall on two levels with plenty of alternatives for all palates, it has a genuinely unpretentious charm which admittedly appeals to my preference for the unpretentious. If it disappoints you I suspect you have no soul.

Love this place! I've been in the evenings to drink and eat with friends and also through the days for co working space and unlimited tea/ coffee deals - great meeting spot in Sheffield for co working! Order food via the app, get notified when to collect - simple! Only problem can be parking...It's not that there aren't places to park but you kind of need to know the area. There isn't a good quality paid car park/multi story around here and the council seem to be putting double yellows on some streets to make it more difficult to park too...it's a shame BUT you can find parking if you are happy to potter around the side streets.

Very busy and lively, even with Peddlars Market going on round the corner and road works outside the door. A great range of food available for veggies and meat fans, with Greek, Vietnamese, Indian and Mexican amongst others, and the only downside was the lengthy waiting times for food - we were quoted half an hour and it was over an hour. But with plenty of drinks and a great atmosphere it's not a terrible place to wait!

Great co-working space with plenty of food and drink options to choose from as they have different vendors. I love going there and they often have events also.

We had dishes from 4 different vendors. All of them were disappointing and not worth the money paid. On top of the insult, we had to collect our own food. On todays experience we won't be visiting again. Gone down hill emensley. If I hadn't have paid so much money already, we'd have to order more food elsewhere.

Good burgers, OK beer selection, dog friendly.

I’ve been here in the past and it’s been ok. But now they seemingly don’t bring the food to the table anymore. £18 for a pizza that I’ve got to collect from the kitchen myself? I don’t see the point of this place. If I’m paying restaurant prices I’ll just go to one. Typical modus operandi these days. Make something good and then make it steadily worse until nobody goes anymore. This place will be closed soon.

Plenty of varied choice, so everyone can choose what they prefer!

I'm Big fan of Cutlery Works as a food hall it host a nice variety of food options, location is a little out of the way and unless you know it's thier can be easily missed but worth a visit. My current favourites being Saiko Sushi / Hot Chick / Ma-Ba and Konjo. I'm not really a drinker so come specifically for the food its a great location if you want to try out several different cuisines in one session, Easy to order just do it through the app or at the tills.

Love this place, huge choice if food, order at the vendors or on the app, and collect when notified via buzzer or text. Child and dog friendly, staff lovely

Great place to spend a Friday night

I had Jimmy’s burgers & my friend had hot chick. The food was great for both of us… But the place was dirty - we even saw a mouse run across the room later on. Tables very sticky and yucky which for a Thursday evening was surprising as it really wasn’t very busy. We were also asked to get ready to leave at 8:55 when the venue doesn’t close til 10pm so that was a bit frustrating. Music very loud. Sadly despite tasty food I won’t be returning in a hurry.

We love Cutlery Works, have enjoyed coming back many times since we first visited. Such a friendly and relaxed place, with a great selection of food.

Had a fabulous Japanese meal at Konjo... the chef was so pleasant, offering his advice as to what to choose. We had a wagu rice dish. Plus a complementary waffle.. I would definitely recommend this place.

We've been here 3 times in the last 6 weeks. Konja is our favourite stall, although Jimmy's Burgers is also very good. The bao buns and Korea chicken from Konja is exceptional, really good quality food.

Gasté £ 30 en bebidas £ 15 en pizza y 35 libras en comida india no cubiertos en india ella me dirigió a la cocina para cubiertos luego apareció con cucharas de mesa para recuperar Pequeñas cantidades de pepinillo de recipientes minúsculos, lo que una broma pensó que estaba en un montaje, su colega se estaba riendo, ps también en la Opinión anterior de la pizza el chico que cocina pizza también se estaba riendo completa y completa estafa oh también la chica con la que hablé en el puesto de pizza dice que es estirado a mano por lo que se encoge Construyo mi propio horno de pizza hace 25 años tuve un chef italiano capacitado wok en mi horno de pizza tiempo de cocción 1 minuto, son bromistas.

First time here and we really enjoyed it! Plenty of options from the vendors. However, you will smell like food when you come out of there and the tables were left in a bit of a mess- had to clear up someone else’s leftovers to sit.. that was a bit annoying but other than that we enjoyed the experience in there. I recommend Gyros from Greek Gods and pani puri from Ma-Ba

Had a open lamb kofta from Ma Ba. Very nice. Tasted lovely fries were good but all curries are re heated using a microwave.... Instead of a pan. Small kitchen and team so understanding this. However I don't eat food out of one of those... Decent and nice selection. Of beers..

Seen mice scattering on the floor. Disgusting conditions. Very hot humid and a very unpleasant smell lingers downstairs.

It was my first visit and I can say I was pleasantly surprised 😮. I went Greek and oh my gosh the mosacka was delicious in my top 3 even with the one's I have hade in Cyprus and Greece loved it

Really nice place. Darcy and Jay were so helpful and nice and gave us some fab recommendations at Hot Chick! They also served us super quickly! Can't recommend it enough!

The place is nice, there are stands offering takeaway food on the ground floor and first floor. Unfortunately, I didn't enjoy the food I bought because I found it too fatty. However, the quantities were sufficient and the saleswoman was very pleasant.

This would be such a nice place if they would just stop having the overloud music every single time I try to come in. I cannot hear myself think right now because this woman is in theory singing though in practice her music is so loud she might as well be stood there just opening and closing her mouth. Some peace with my lunch would be nice!

Dinosaur party was brilliant but where has the ordering direct to tables gone?! I had 2 kids that I had to leave unattended to get our drinks that were upstairs as far away as possible! Its definitely put me off coming again. Why am I paying an extra £1 for a service fee when I'm doing the actual serving? You have a kid area but your ordering isn't kid friendly and would anyone want to trail their kids around with them carrying food and drinks down a flight of stairs? Please correct me if I could've had it delivered to me!

The food was great from our chosen vendor, but it was so hot inside and no air con or fans turned on at all, there was so much smoke from the cooking you couldn’t breath! .. the tables were sticky, when they were being cleared they were not being wiped down. Due to the heat and the smoke we didn’t enjoy the meal at all and just wanted to get out asap. Very sad as this place used to be great over a year ago, don’t think we will be going back which is a shame.

I find this place difficult to navigate but the food is OK sometimes not others. Strange place really. Quite high prices too

Basically a collection of takeaway vendors, order via a QR code, then collect from the vendor and eat a table. I was with someone with limited accessibility, so had to make 4 trips to collect food and drinks from the different vendors. It was very hot and noisy on a Saturday evening. The table was dirty and asked someone to clean, which they did swiftly. The food was good.

Came with a group of friends as a first visit to Kelham Island. Ordered from Jimmy’s burgers and received a message when ready to collect which was all good. Thought it was expensive for what was basically burger and chips…almost £17.00 with a £1 order fee in with the price (unsure what that’s for). Not somewhere I’d go on a regular basis based on price and value for money

I feel slightly bad leaving 2 stars as the food was really good but my experience with the drinks was very negative. I think the coke gun had run out of syrup as the two we ordered tasted like water, when I went back to query this I was told it's fine and I probably only think that because it's an off brand version. Setting aside a 3.50 coke which isn't even Coca-Cola, I've never come across an off brand which just tasted like water. When I complained about it to a different member of staff they said they'd go and sort it but proceeded to never come back and avoid eye contact the rest of the time we were there. Great food, poor customer service.

I've never seen this exact setup before. Its like a collection of street food vendors all in one... inside street? So, there are multiple venders that each have their own cuisine, we had the choice of Thai, Indian, Burgers, Chicken, Pizza, African, and a few others that I cant remember. You pop onto the Cutlery Works app or browser and order all together from your table. I ordered chicken from one place, my daughter, a pizza from another, and her partner a burger from another joint. After a short wait, you get a message from each place telling you youre food is ready, you go and pick it up. All 3 of our meals from 3 different vendors were exceptional, we thoroughly enjoyed each of them. Looking at what was coming out of the other kitchens, I feel I would have been on for a winner no matter what or where we ordered from. Apparently the vendors do change from time to time, so that keeps things fresh and mixed up too. Definitely worth a return visit, again, and again, and again.
