Was a good meal and nice staff, but some family kept ranting about makka pakka next to us and became really off putting. Especially when they mentioned for iggle piggle judging me ordering brownie. I like brownie. I do not like iggle piggle.

Here today and I’m at Pizza Express, Valley Centertainment. Pizzas are always good from Pizza Express, would recommend the Padana. Service was slow during my visit, there was only one server working tables and it took a while to get their attention, equally there was only one chef so food took longer than expected (~35 minutes). The server was, despite this, friendly and welcoming. Ample parking is a real treat too.

Driver stopped at petrol station for over ten minutes then when food got delivered it was cold and the secure tag was ripped open

Had to ask staff if we could order as waited forever. But on the other hand they were so pleasant and polite

Had a delicious lunch of lemon chicken starter and classic American pizza main. The staff were great. The restaurant was cool and comfortable. They have a good allergy menu online.

Went in, got asked straight away am I okay and what I needed by a friendly member of staff. I said I had a collection and she took my name and within a minute I was exiting the store with the correct amount of food. It was tasty especially the chocolate fudge cake. It was unbelievable. Will definitely be getting a collection again soon.

Always something wrong with a Pizza Express or but sending out nasty rotten garlic butter is the last straw.

Pizza was fine but the garlic butter was off and even had nasty bits of whatever in it. All pots were off. Ordered extra for a £15 order of dough balls which are useless without dip.

My daughter and I enjoy a pizza express. I had a birthday voucher for a free pizza. So lunch for 2 was under 11 pounds. Big fan

Servers very slow to take order and did not ask if we wanted a drink while looking at the menu. Manager brought us our food, very friendly and food was hot and delicious. Our server did not come over again to check everything was to our liking. They were slow to take our plates or offer further drinks or desserts, despite there being only 3 other tables occupied. The rainbow salad tasted 'off' - it had the taste and smell of out of date pre-prepared cut salad. I told the server but her answer was it was freshly prepared that morning, even though admitting the salad was pre-packed when questioned.. We were not offered a discount or an apology. Had we not been in a rush to make an appointment, I would have pressed this point.

Now we're talking. That was a fine pizza. Whoever made it please don't let them ever have a day off please. Almost perfect.

Take that concert so busy to say the least, this was our third restaurant we had tried it was so busy. Front of house was excellent, efficient, polite, sociable & in the face of a full restaurant & a queue she was very engaging. We literally only waited about 10 minutes for a table. Server was lovely & patient, again very engaging. Food was excellent & very timely. All in all a great experience. Will remember to book next time 😊

The poor staff... It was late Sunday evening, there hadn't been an event at the arena across the road, they must have been thinking 'we can crack on with the cleaning, no one else will be coming in now' And then in walks 7 of us. All starving after working all day at Ice Sheffield... They couldn't have been better. We were told that desserts were in short supply, but that was fine, and she (I wish I knew her name!) asked if it would be okay if any starters came out with mains as sides (and it absolutely was), and off they went. Food was pretty quick - though we were the only table in - and wonderful. She asked us if we minded if she got on with some cleaning... I can only speak for myself but having worked in the industry I felt awful that we had ruined their night! 😂 Great staff, great food. Will definitely visit again

Ordered 2 GF pizzas and dough balls. All tasted good but was really cold on arrival and had to go in the oven before it could be served. We dont live far from PE. Driver did apologise

Delivery always excellent and quick. No issues there. The actual issue is quality from order to order is all over the place. Last order from any Pizza Express anywhere for me now. 2 stores multiple orders in and probably only had 3 objectively good pizzas.

Not impressed by the customer service here at all! We turned up at 9pm (I know this is a late time to be dining in) but asked upon arrival if we are okay to dine in & they sounded more than happy to seat us. This was then followed by a meal that was served very fast and was very undercooked. My partner's pasta actually raw mushrooms and onions in it and the base of my pizza was completely flaccid. As soon as we had finished they couldn't take the plates off our table fast enough. We were asked if we wanted anything else, which we declined. They then immediately gave us the bill whilst we were still mid conversation, as if to be ushered out quickly. I paid the bill and the waitress had a real attitude when I only tipped £1, which Is £1 too much to be honest looking back now. Really frustrating because me and my partner rarely get to go out and wish we had chosen somewhere better than this to eat out. Spend your money more wisely and chose one of the other restaurants in the area much better customer service and food there.

Upon arrival, I informed the young waitress that I had coeliac and a dairy allergy and this appeared to be no problem. My friends had all signed up to the app and we were told everything would be 50%off if we signed up to this, so after much faffing due to poor wi-fi, we all managed that. My friends food came and looked delicious…..mine came and looked terrible. The “normal” pizzas were enormous, enough for two really, with lots of toppings. Mine was so under cooked I had to send it back. It was the size of a small plate and literally had next to nothing on it. I wish I’d taken a picture but didn’t think. It was basically terrible, tasted like cardboard smeared with ketchup. Unfortunately the people I was with, I don’t know that well and I didn’t want to make a fuss. The only option for dessert was sorbet and it was ok. Then came the bill. The waitress came to the table, spoke to my friends at the opposite end of the table and none of them said anything. We split the bill for what each had had and after I made a comment about how I thought nearly £30 was expensive. One of the others said “oh, didn’t you use the 50% off she mentioned”……errrr no. So basically I felt like I’d been mugged for what was essentially rubbish food….and that’s being polite! I asked the waitress if there was anything I could do, but was told as I’d paid through the app, no, I had to either contact Pizza Express directly or my bank. I have now sent two emails to Pizza Express and heard nothing. Other than being bombarded about offers as I had signed up to the app, I’ve had ZERO response about my complaint. So, I’ve taken to here….PLEASE do NOT go here if you’re wanting a lovely meal if you have allergies or any food intolerances. It was a poor experience at best. If I could have given zero I would but the app doesn’t let me. There is no way I will EVER eat at any other Pizza Express again. Great food, not. Great service, not (when I complained the manager couldn’t even be bothered to come out and talk to me him/herself) and great customer care…not! There are hundreds of other restaurants and I’ll gladly give them my money instead of this poor one.

We were visiting Sheffield for my friends daughters birthday treat and as Pizza Express is a favourite of ours my friend had decided to dine here. The restaurant is on a large leisure complex and there is parking available. We were welcomed and shown to our tables on arrival and had not booked. As my friends daughter had a paper pizza voucher and my friend was paying with Tesco Club Card reward vouchers having two tables was the easiest way to gain the benefits. This did cause some confusion as the terms of the voucher appeared a little ambiguous. To clarify this my friend asked a waitress who referred her to another lady and she was told that the voucher terms were one per table. A little more explanation may have helped so we could understand this but the lady seemed pretty occupied and busy. In the end we felt like we were being a nuisance. Anyway the Tuna Nicoise Salad was delicious and my friends daughter and her friend loved the pizzas. The service was quick and efficient and the food tasty.

Had a meal here on 8th December with 5 friends, food ok. Service ok at the time but following our visit we realised that we had been incorrectly charged for two puddings we hadn't had. My friend had tried to speak to someone over the phone but after several attempts and no answer, she was forced to leave a message. This message was not returned so as I was nearby I called into Pizza Express to speak to someone, I was told I wasn't able to receive a refund due to the payment being split by all 6 of us and that all of us would have to return for a refund. It isn't feasible to ask 6 people to return to a restaurant, especially considering this was the fault of the restaurant in the first place so I was offered the two puddings. No thanks, I would like my money back! As I wasn't happy with this I was told to leave my name and number and the manager would get back to me the following day, of course nobody has got back to me and it seems the number to ring just rings into the abyss because nobody wants to answer it, probably have a habit of overcharging people and then ignoring them. I have sent an email which also hasn't been responded to. Shocking customer service, make sure you check your receipts!

my food was absolutely freezing basically stone cold, which isn’t how food should be.

I did not receive 1 bottle of sprite and the garlic butter for the dough balls was not fastened properly resulting in a spillage of the butter and leaving us with dry dough balls. The food was covered in garlic butter. This meant that one of our staff members was without a drink and two had poor starters. This is a shame as otherwise the quality of the food was good. The website also said that if your order was over £25 then you would get free dough balls. These were not provided.

Pretty hit and miss with Pizza Express. Either objectively the best pizza you'll find locally, or the worst. Delivery is at least always quick.

Hadn't been to a Pizza Express in a long time and my expectations were taken sky-high, the food was impeccable, easily the best pizza I've had in years and the service staff tied it all together perfectly with their shining attitude, overall friendliness and were all incredibly polite. Can't wait to come back and eat here again!!

The young man making the pizzas deserves a raise as soon as possible! Best pizzas in all of South Yorkshire

Went to celebrate my dad’s 80th and got ignored in favour of the group of about 30 who came in 20 minutes after our booked spot, but ALL got their food before us. Then the table at the side of us got their food (again, in long after us), at which point my dad asked how much longer it would be. We waited over an hour for it to arrive. Nobody checked if our food was ok (it wasn’t. It was burned in places and tepid.) or asked us if we wanted desserts or more drinks. We had to find someone to ask for the bill, paid and left. Sad that my dad wanted to go there for his Birthday because he’d enjoyed it so much on past visits. Won’t be bothering again.

First time at this branch & hadn't been to a Pizza Express for ages. Was rather impressed! Delicious pizza & staff were very welcoming & friendly.

The pizza was really bad guys. I have also called restaurant to let them know. It was all burnt around the edge, very sloppy.. Then there was a huge finger print in the middle of the pizza.!!!! Restaurant refused to send another and it was yea for me and my daughter we could not eat this I’m afraid it was shocking

Rubbish all round ordered margarita pizza that came with no cheese, pasta was that hard and crunchy couldn’t eat it if I wanted to, dirty glasses and then to notice the male staff who was taking every ones pizza out had dirty looking hair shoulder length all over the place molting like a dog all over his T-shirt stood over the pizzas flicking his hair out of his eyes we told the manager for her to seem not bothered what so ever her words was shoulder length hair doesn’t need to be tied up, ended up leaving and definitely won’t be returning.

Great food as always but fantastic service to go with it. Spilt a drink over one of our mains and the lovely waitress had helped us clean up and bought us a replacement in minutes.

Came here for an evening meal and first off, the food was good and I enjoyed it however I just don't think it's worth the money, for a small pizza it's like £13-£15 and it really wasn't that filling for me and other pizza restaurants would charge that for a much bigger pizza like Franco Manca for example which is a better place for pizza to be honest, overall an a average restaurant.

Got there around 6.30 ordered 2 drinks starter and pizza. Got our drinks and starters and 45mins later still waiting for our pizza. We asked where our pizza was and it was still in the oven so we had to cancel as our film was going to be on in 15 minutes. Thankfully they didn't make us pay for the drinks and starters

Excellent food, I had the Pollo Pesto, and my friend had the Americano pizza. The only down side was the slow service, as it took a while for staff to notice us.

Me and my aunt were the first to arrive and the service was lovely and food was absolutely delicious. I would highly recommend for everyone and on the menu they have pointed out what is gluten free and since I am this was very easy for me to order. Thank you for the lovely service and meal.

A very pleasant, well set out and large part of the chain set in appealing grounds with plenty of free parking and many other restaurants at Valley Centretainment. Very easily accessible by tram, too, which stops behind Cineworld in the same complex. Helpful staff, quick service and reasonable prices - especially if you use the Pizza Express app. A great way to enjoy the cinema and eat afterwards

We attended tonight at the CENTRETAINMENT IN SHEFFIELD MY husband asked if he could have his pizza base rolled a bit thicker as we could clearly seeing the chefs rolling the pizza in front of us ! So it’s not really too hard just don’t roll it as large then it would be thicker with the same amount of dough !!!! We were told NO as they could get confused when they get them out of the oven !! I then asked could I have the sauce that comes with the calzone not as spicy I was told NO as the staff would not know which pizza was less spicy if there was another pizza in the oven !!! Which to us seemed ridiculous as I am sure the chef could have made a small marking to signify which was our food !!!! We have visited other pizza express and never been told we cannot have what we asked for tonight !! The waitress was so rude to us clearly thinking we did not understand the word NO We sat for a minute and thought to hell with her why should we pay for 2 pizzas that weren’t to our taste so we cancelled the order and left !! After all it’s not as though the food is cheap it’s actually quite overpriced !! My husband is actually the manager of a well known Italian restaurant in Sheffield and they frequently get asked for things to be a little bit different and it is never a problem as the customer is paying NOT the waitress !! We asked another waitress for the bill for our drinks she went to get it from the till I watched our waitress make a bee line for her and insist on bringing it over to us herself again with that same challenging attitude !!’ Her name is apparently Lucy and I will be complaining directly to the manager !

Service was friendly and helpful but the pizza we had was awful: burnt, toppings missing hardly any cheese and very poor value for money.

The two young ladies from Thursday evening were so welcoming and lovely despite it being busy. We will definitely be returning very soon!!

Worst pizza, Frozen pizza would of been way nicer. We ordered 2 pizzas to take away one was made with the wrong toppings the other was burn on the bottom. On both pizzas there was hardly any cheese or toppings, most slices only had tomato sauce and nothing else, the pizzas were also very small for the price we payed, we payed £25 for 2 pizzas this was such a rip off! Will never be coming back ever again.

Food was absolutely lovely as always however the service really needs improving. Seated at our table, starters came quite quickly. Then we had to wait almost an hour for mains dispite the waitress telling us whilst taking our starter plates away "they won't be long". She blamed the table of 12 that was in the restaurant at the same time & the fact there was only one chef however we could have been told this when we came in and we might have chosen somewhere else as we where on a tight schedule. To top it off the card machines all then went down and we where told the nearest cash machine charges £1.99 for withdrawals, that sounds like a you problem, not my problem that your machines are down. Luckily I found enough cash in my purse to subsidise our meals however not the point. Shouldn't be forced into using a chargeable cash point when it wasn't our fault the machines went down. Oh and I've never in my life had to ask for the bill at the same time as our mains arriving at the table. That's when you know its been poor service. All in all, I won't return to this pizza express. I much prefer the Meadowhall one.

Look, it a national chain and I wouldn't normally write a review, but we went in with two grumpy and hungry kids at 1:55, and it was brill. Good (& fast) fresh kids portions and as you can see 5⭐ service.

Went here with my mum and we had the pizzas. They were lovely! Not too heavy and cooked to perfection. The chef in the black hat was working. Definitely credits to the chef as I’ve not had such a good pizza in a long time!

Well went today and taken for a treat well lasagne was cold in the middle and parmazan cheese wasn't even melted on top the lasagna should have been probed before serving simple really also my partners pizza soggie and cold on the middle really ???? !!!! Oh and only us and a family there so not busy no water on the table as was water on others table and also no glasses for the water so table wasn't set right

Wow ! Can’t believe how much I just paid for a meal at Pizza Express, Centertainment, Broughton Lane, Sheffield. £31.30 for a beer, small pizza, dessert and coffee. Eye-watering ! Heard in last few years Pizza Hut nearly went bankrupt, but can’t imagine why, their margin on net ingredient cost must be well over 1000%. Even taking into account National Minimum Wage and their spiralling energy costs ( which were halved today by Jacob Rees Mogg ). That’s one hell of a profit margin to lose ! Food, pizza La Reine, red berry & vanilla cheesecake was enjoyable and service good as it always is. A few little niggles. Every piece of printed material placed in front of you encourages you to join their loyalty club there and then to enjoy free dough balls (£6.95 to purchase so now in the region of 2000% mark-up) However it appeared the server on their website appeared to be down and even after checking my email and junk file it was unable to remind me of a long forgotten password. Their long standing baked vanilla cheesecake had been replaced by a pale imitation and cream for my coffee cost me an additional £2.00 despite previously having been provided free with dessert. That’s about 20p per ml by my reckoning. All in all I felt mean not leaving a tip for the waitress as she drew me a smiley face on my receipt, but had to ask for sugar with my coffee and for salt and pepper with my food. Shame it will be a while before I visit a Pizza Express again, maybe when I’ve saved up or maybe won The Lottery.

Terrible. We could see our uncooked pizzas sat on a counter for half an hour (about 2 other tables of people in the restaurant so hardly busy) Pasta was burnt & crispy but after waiting nearly an hour for food I didn't want to faff sending it back. Told waiter about it so he went off to talk to manager about it for 10 mins, manager came to talk to me while another staff member stood staring at me. She was not interested. Maybe she needs to be in the restaurant instead of hiding in the back so she can see what's going on. Won't be going back, atmosphere (& food) terrible. can see why it's empty.

Got here for around 6.30pm and it wasn't too busy. We enjoyed the starters and mains, especially the jalapeño dough balls, however the service was slow as the wait for our food and bill took time coming.

Service was terrible, waited nearly half an hour for our starters, asked for some extra garlic butter and had to chase it up after another 10-15 mins. Staff appeared to be working very hard, clearing tables, serving food but was poorly managed. Mentioned that we had booked a table but name detail wasn't taken to mark us off as 'arrived', was laughed at and told that didn't matter. So what is the point of booking? Never had this reaction in any other Pizza Express before, surely by booking, and it being noted, gives some indication on level of staffing required etc. Apparently not in this one. Manager spent several minutes crouched down at a table talking to friends while we were waiting for service, poor example to the young staff who were worked hard but obviously unsupervised.

Me and my wife visited. The lovely young lady who served us was friendly, chatty and very welcoming when greeting us and taking our order. Tho I have to say, we found the food bland and both meals actually tasted almost the same. A pepperoni pizza that had a texture that was both slimy and rubbery and a bolognaise that tasted just like the oil it was cooked in Not the worst pizza I've ever had. But certainly not even close to near the top either

Reasonably priced pizza and pasta. It's a chain so nothing special but very adequate. Some nice salads.

Manageress making pizzas behind counter in open view of customers with no apron and long hair not tied back. Never had such a poor pizza, what happened to toppings on pizza, nWill never revisit this restaurant

We came for a family meal and got cold food and it wasn’t cooked properly and had wine on the menu and didn’t have it though x

What can I say About Jo , Amber and there Team other than bloody brilliant. We had a table of 28 , they worked really hard to look after us and make sure that everyone’s food got out around the same time, the food was lovely and the staff were excellent. 10/10 all around👏👏👏 Next time we are at a swim meet in Sheffield we will be booking again. Thank you all for looking after us so well .. sam X
