Bustling venue. Maybe it was our food choices but I was very disappointed with the food quality here. No flavour to the ramen and one dish was served cold but that wasn't made clear in the menu. Two stars as a chicken side dish was good.

Vegetarian bento box was the best! Very confusing ordering system... Much better to just go to the 'kitchen' of choice and order directly. Noisy.

Wonderful variety of food options in a friendly and warm environment. It's mostly self service, so hard to score 5 star for service, however those serving the tables and preparing the food were friendly and warm. Highly recommended for a large group with varying tastes and preferences. The kids enjoyed the arcade games too!

It’s not what it was, the new way of ordering didn’t work for any of us. No service to the table any more. It was a faff full stop. It was amazing before the changes

Love the space but the food was subpar.

When meal came it was mainly chips covered over by what was ordered, fire alarm kept going off which in turn turned off the gas and therefore one of our guests didn't get their meal, no one knew how to arrange a rebate of what they payed and so our guest had to wait for two days for it to be refunded

Great food. My niece ordered at the table via app. Good service. Overall, i was impressed Was a little loud as the people at the table next to us were shouting, and it was distracting.

Theres lot of choice and an app to order from but it can get quite busy and loud after 5pm most days so bring earplugs if you plan to come here! They change it up every so often too so its nice to try different options but wish they had less fast food but suppose a foodhall needs fast turnaround times not cooking from scratch much fried options but theres a new sushi and poke bowl place we have to try out soon would appreciate a ramen or burrito bar or Mexican one, there used to be here but its now a greek place they look good too but we must try out at least once.

Very busy. Was a little worried we hadn't booked a table for 7 of us however the hostess promptly found us a table. Tables cleared away so quickly and service was OK, one person's order on our table was a little slow but otherwise OK.

Great quality food at great prices

Ordered a Pulled Pork Pizza, I was told it'd take between 15 - 20 mins. After almost half an hour I went to see what the delay was and was told that I'd given them the wrong table number. Which I hadn't. As the table number they told me i'd given them was only 4 tables away from where we were sat if anyone had come with a pizza looking for me I'd have seen them and approached/gestured to them. Why would I have given the incorrect table number unless I wanted a cold pizza for my lunch. No offer was made to discount my meal or offer me anything for the inconvenience.

First time visit to this place. Good selection of food to enjoy. We ordered a Nduja special pizza, bao bun, and chicken gyoza. All this food from different food stalls. Love the flavours, worth it

My friend and I came here this last Saturday evening. We enjoyed food and drinks from all the different vendors. The tofu boa bun was a favourite of ours.

It was very busy so had to wait a bit for our food but worth waiting for

Not a fan, isn't really my kind of scene and anecdotes of other peoples experiences have made me not want to go back A lot of people like it though, and that's fair enough

Arrived at 8.45 on a Friday night. Member of staff at front desk tells us they will stop serving food in 5 minutes. This was not true. They were serving for at least another 40 minutes. He didn’t have a clue. We were rushed to choose food as we assumed we only had 5 minutes. I ordered from Pokimen. The tofu was wet, mushy and insipid. Looked like he’d thrown a can of tinned sweetcorn on some rice with some raw onion and a sad piece of lettuce. Very very basic, and frankly not appetising, for £10. My boyfriend ordered from Fat Hippo. Although the burger was nice, the service was bad. Rude staff and eye rolling. The food hall itself was dirty. No napkins on our table or any near us, and tables were not being cleared once customers had left. Staff were hanging around chatting rather than clearing tables. Cutlery was stained and the main reason I wanted a napkin was to clean the cutlery. Drinks were okay and fairly priced. Ambience was okay. Overall, definitely not worth the money. Won’t be back. Cutlery works is far superior. Surprised I haven’t got sick.

Nice atmosphere, japanese food was authentic, especially recommend the gyozas at edo sushi, although portions were a bit small for the poke.

I enjoyed my burger. It’s quite a noisy place, but I went there on a recommendation so I knew what I was getting into. An interesting mix of food options.

Great selection for food vendors - all the major hitters, pizza, burger, Chinese, gyros etc etc. Not a huge fan of the app/order website but that's the only issue.

Great atmosphere with a choice of seating options. Can choose food from a range of international cuisine (Italian, Japanese, Indian, Vietnamese, Greek, etc) plus the bar. Can order food from the app, which was hassle free. Can be very busy, but there is plenty of seats available. The only thing when busy is the service can take slightly longer and the table may not be clean. Otherwise great place. Was never dissapointed.

Burgers stone cold and so bad they agreed to refund, except the refund never arrived. They must have cancelled it after I'd left the venue. Disgusting behaviour, despite previous good experiences I will never return.

Nice drinks but Ordered a pizza and waited 40 mins for it . When I finally went up to ask them about it and they said they don’t serve those pizzas anymore so cancelled the order . the app did say cancelled but I received no notification nor did anyone let me know ( it was a very quiet Wednesday evening) . By the time I’d asked The guy he said he couldn’t take anymore orders . We ordered 2 other sides from hanoi 75 that were nice but cost £19 for hardly any food. We left quite hungry having spent a lot of money . It’s a nice place but needs to work on its app ( not letting you order items that are unable) and service ( letting customers- know when orders are later cancelled or sending a notification)

Great addition to Sheffield's food scene. A central bar with Freedom brewery beers. There are lots of street food vendors around the outside of the space so you choose and sit and enjoy your beer while it's cooked and delivered to you. The space has been utilised to have sushi classes, kids clubs and salsa classes. Check it out...

Went in for food for my birthday. The choice of food was almost overwhelming, the food was great.

I visited kommune with my baby and family. I found it to be far too loud for our baby with the combination of loud bassy music and the people talking around us talking loudly. This is not kommunes fault and it does have a good atmosphere, just a heads up to anyone else who is planning to visit with young children. As a result I struggled to enjoy my visit and chose to spend most of the time outside with the baby to avoid prolonged exposure to the high volumes of noise inside. Will be choosing to eat out elsewhere in future until my child is older.

Food was fantastic. It's order of website so can't really give more for service. Was incredibly loud in there with lots of people so if your ND might want to take some loops or something.

Good place to go for food & drink. Maybe some of the original store features should be shown off rather than hidden.

Really mediocre food. I've ordered things that looked gorgeous on the menu on my many visits here and I'm always disappointed. Avoid Hanoi 75! Avoid Hippo burger! Avoid The Monkey Jar! They're all overpriced and the food quality is seriously lacking. I've had a bland, flavourless curry at The Monkey Jar, a dry stale burger (with some absolutely tiny greasy battered chicken burgers), and a very greasy portion of chicken and rice from Hanoi 75. It's just not a great place for food, I'd highly recommend going somewhere else as there's lots that's better nearby.

The menu is fantastic with such a range of food, including lots of veggie and vegan options. I wish it was a bit easier to flick between the different menus but apart from that, the ordering process was quite easy. I ordered some vegan dirty fries from Fat Hippo which were nice and hot and really delicious. All the food came out pretty fast and was good portion sizes. The bar was quite expensive as I paid £3 for a diet coke but apart from that, everything was perfect.

For the price my burger was decent not the best burger I have had, but it was nice. The fries were really bad though, no seasoning and were cold.

Wow ! Loved this place. A real shame we didn't go here the night before as well. Loved the warehouse atmosphere. The music was brilliant all night long and covered many decades from the Helter Skelter / Jumping Jack flash classics of the 60's, Sparks and Black Sabbath from the 70's, Prodigy / Oasis and more recent songs that were just great even though I had no idea what they were. The staff were all brilliant. The beer at under £5 a pint was superb. NZ was brilliant :~). The street type food was also brilliant. My chicken curry was only £12 ... much better than the poncy expensive food I had the night before somewhere else

Horrible place to work as they dont even give out the Service charge that should be legally paid out to staff as tips however the managers and directors seems to think differently. Needs prosecuting from Action Fraud - Former staff (can contact me for evidence and there’s a reason why KFC place is not there anymore)

This place needs some TLC now as its starting to feel run down and dirty. Food is still good and fast and variety is great. But the windows and tables were in need of a good clean.

We came here almost every day during our stay and got to try a good selection of the restaurants available. It's a beautiful place with a good selection of food and drinks as well as a great atmosphere!

Great selection for Lunch and/or Dinner. Really tasty food and a great mix of people and space to spread out and chill. Only complaint is to improve the selection for breakfasts, even a basic full English would suffice. Update: came in the late evening, great selection of drinks and a good place to chill. Quick to receive drinks and food.

Great food, most dishes about £12 which was reasonable. Good bar. It's in the old co-op store building - amazing (non-compliant) 50's circular staIr behind bar. Would have loved to have been able to get better photos of it.

Ordered from the code from 505 table. Food didn’t come so went to see where it was. Even though we ordered from their app it didn’t pick up what table we were at so they thought it was take away. Ate our food coke in a takeaway box. Rubbish

No food from 9 PM. This is not closing at 10 PM this is closing well before 9 PM. Total and utter rubbish

Had noodles and salt and pepper chips from Hanoi, probably the worst Asian meal I’ve ever had. How do you get salt and pepper chips wrong? They were fries with a ridiculous amount of table salt on them, so much that they were inedible. They had some spring onion on them and chillies, but no pepper. The noodles were poor quality, felt I could have made better at home. Cost me £21! Will not be ordering from there again.

Amazing spot to visit either solo or with groups as there’s ample seating for all. No fussing over ordering all at once or over who pays the check. Many different foods, Mexican, American, Japanese, Korean, Italian and Indian. Amazing Bao, sushi, and drinks to be had. Restaurants close an hour before the establishment closes, with the exception being the bar. Easy access and good ambiance. One of my favorite spots here in Sheffield

Really good experience and plenty of choice

Sushi and pizza delicious but we found the service poor and the doughnuts from project D were inedible and dry (which they shouldn’t be for £4.50!). I would definitely come back but wouldn’t go for the doughnuts again.

Love Kommune: Burgers for me, Sushi for my wife. Only downside is the cake shop seems to have closed.

Great place for a diverse range of delicious food! I come here every time I’m in Sheffield. This time I had ramen and gyoza and it was amazing. It’s a great space to work, socialise, drink and eat.

Does not accept cash, will not visit again.

The food here is great but the last two times I went I had a terrible experience. Dogs running around bothering people eating their meals on one occasion. On the other arrived over an hour and a half before closing an couldn't order any food as vendors had either run out or were closing up. The app is also really awful, so slow, terrible UX and adds on extra fees for everything and you can't order from more than one place at a time. Despite the quality of the food offered here by the independent vendors I wouldnt stay here to eat again. But some places do offer takeaway / delivery which I would try.

Great find for us. Dog friendly and our Husky recieved lots of attention for being a good girl and looking cute. Dining services was very good we opted for nachos fully loaded which we ordered through the app. Drinks from the bar and we used the date night deal for pizzas. The app is a little temperamental so we did go and order direct at the pizza stand. All dishes coming out looked amazing, we didn't have room for a doughnut 😔 we should have gone for take out. Staff were all very friendly and attentive, including a bowl of water for our dog. Great concept, wish we had one up at Xscape. If there was a negative to the whole experience would be the WC looked a tad unkempt and the loo brushes need throwing and replacing.

Amazing selection of drinks and food from a wide mix of cuisines and cultures! Can be a bit crowded at time but they have a host during those time which helps. Like having QR codes at table for menu and central ordering on website with multiple payment options. Tables were well stocked, and tables and common areas (floors etc) were well attended to and had no issues.

Good range of food stand options, location was great, atmosphere was chilled and relaxed. You can order at the food stand or via an app. Soft drink prices were very reasonable.

Would love to give this place more stars. The vendors are actually great and the food (when it came after having to order twice) was perfectly fine. The issue is online ordering through either the Kommune app or website. First order did not reach the vendor and is lost in some magical hinterland somewhere. This prompted a second order in person, which came through. The issue is upon contacting Kommune directly for a refund for the first lost order, the email address is either dead or unchecked. This isn't a rare issue as the vendor said it happens all the time. The amount isn't the issue; the lack of contact and basic theft is. Paid twice for one meal. Unsatisfactory experience and out of pocket to boot. Sort it out because it's actually a nice place helping to regenerate a run down part of the city. 👎

This is a nice canteen with many tables and different food shops. I tasted ramen, takoyaki and bubble tea from a shop called TK Ramen. It’s a special experience to taste Japanese food in Sheffield.

The mobile website to make a reservation is broken. If you do turn up without a reservation - and remember this is a food court - they sometimes just decide to stop accepting walk ins on a whim. Don't worry though they'll accept them again 10 minutes later after turning you away into the rain after you've been queuing. Awful customer service.

Good mixture of cuisines in pop up food court. I chose the Vietnamese outlet Hanoi 75 and had lovely pork belly and chicken bau buns. Food was really tasty and easy to order via the qr code for the table. Other food choices looked good too, friends had the Korean and Japanese food options. Recommend and would return.

Always enjoy visits to Kommune. Struggled a little with the automated ordering via app but they still give you the option of ordering at the individual outlets. Great choice of things to eat (we ordered from FatHippo in the end) and a wide choice of drinks from the bars. Great atmosphere despite being their at a quiet time (mid afternoon). Will definitely be back.

A fantastic selection of cuisines at reasonable prices - something for everyone in a group - with plenty of big tables for gatherings of people. A good place to visit with friends when you don't want to have to figure out what everyone likes

So you have to feed everyone, and they all want something different. Problem solved. Street food abounds. Huge choice. I had to go round twice, eventually decided and immediately had buyers remorse as an awesome plate of something steaming and delicious passed on the way to another table...always next time. Potions hearty and filling. Bar on site. Everything cooked fresh. Vendors are happy to elaborate on the menu (on the end, look up). Prices in the middle. Once you have ordered the food it delivered to the table. Everyone is full and happy at the end. Lovely welcome by a staff member who made sure we knew what to do and how to order. Regret not hitting up the doughnuts on the way out.
