I’ve recently been struggling with going out to restaurants as I’m gluten free and as of recently can’t have dairy. The team that served me this evening were so helpful and lovely and did everything they could for me. I asked for a pizza without cheese and the lady asked me if I would like a small section with vegan cheese on to try it, the chef brought it out to me and showed me he’d just put a bit on for me to try.

ordered takeaways. pizzas were shocking. soggy, undercooked, amazingly they managed to have 2 soggy bases as well. contacted them and was told it isn't their problem

Lovely venue, staff are very friendly and the deputy manager was bright and bubbly. She gave me some great recommendations for food (vegan and regular options). All of the staff were smiley and attentive. I Will be coming back again soon for sure!

We had one of the best meals today, been to a few different pizza express now and this was by far one of the most enjoyable! The manager (I think Brigitta) was really helpful and made some really great recommendations! High quality service and excellent food! Highly recommend

We come to this restaurant now and again as my teenage kids can’t get enough of the pizzas, they’re the best by far. On this occasion though the service was even more outstanding than on previous visits. The new manageress was extremely efficient and the whole team seemed to be in good spirits even though the restaurant was very very busy. We will be coming back more often in the future I’m sure.

Went for lunch today, been coming here for a long time now but felt completely let down this time round. Service was well below par, after ordering our food the waitress proceeded to say "that's definitely enough food". This is beyond rude, I as a paying customer can order as little and as much as I like considering I'm the one who's paying. Felt like we weren't welcome, didn't once as us how the food was and received cold service throughout from our waitress. Food was ok, considering we spent £70 we have been well and truly fleeced in the quality department. Pizza was alright, Pollo Milanese wasn't anything like an Italian cuisine, bland and ungarnished side salad. Rainbow slaw was rife with vinegar and the Halloumi bites and Pollenta chips felt cheap. Will not be returning and would recommend people consider other establishments on Street Lane as opposed to Pizza Express. Very poor.

fantastic experience. 5* we had our sons birthday pizza party here 18/11/23 was fantastic the manager and the young waitress was amazing service was fantastic and the children had such a amazing time. we had such lovely comments from the children about how great the party was. thank you so much ☺️

We booked a table for 21 people for a children's birthday party. The staff were so amazing and accommodating. They created a lovely space for us upstairs which meant we weren't disturbing other people. The food was excellent and we weren't rushed in any way. The icing on the cake has to be when one of the chefs entertained the children by teaching them to throw pizza dough. Thank you so much for a wonderful meal and for the hard work from the staff

I ordered a pizza, a calzone, and a ginger cake as dessert. The pizza was great, but unfortunately, the calzone was terrible. It had flavorless, uncooked aubergine and an excessive amount of spicy tomato juice inside, almost like a cup of tomato juice. It was soggy and watery. As for the ginger cake, the website advertised it as coming in two pieces, but I received only one piece, which cost £7.75 and claimed to have 531 Kcal. I find it hard to believe that it could have so many calories. Overall, my dining experience was awful and completely unacceptable. I do not recommend this restaurant.

Fantastic staff at this pizza express. The new look is very nice too. Service was really fast although we were in early and it wasn't too busy. It's a great family friendly venue

I was struggling a little with ordering delivery online and a lovely lady picked up and helped me through all of it,didnt make me feel stupid at all and she even rang back when my delivery hadnt gone through to them and then when i explained i got a code so i hope it does she offered to ring back and let me know if it does and just made the whole experience so pleasent so i asked for her name and it was the lovely vanessa who served me 15 minutes before closing she still stayed sweet so a 10/10 from me for customer service <3

Service was very bad. Waiter gave us all dirty plates and claimed it was clean. Didn’t apologize. Asked for tap water but pretended that they couldn’t hear me. Waited 1 hour for a pizza. Their attitude is unprofessional. Will never come back.

Came again today for lunch, it was so busy but once again Marius made us feel so welcome and was very attentive and as always great with the kids!! He is an asset to you!! we always come here because of him and the service we receive from all the staff.. see you again soon.

We come quite often to this pizza express and every single time we have been we get the lovely waiter Maris I think his name is (so sorry if that is wrong!). He is always so polite and attentive and makes sure everything is correct. Sometimes it’s difficult eating out with two young children but all of the staff are fabulous with them, they engage in conversation and are patient with them. Food is always perfect and service is quick. I work in this industry too so I know how difficult it can be but honestly nothing seems to be a bother in this specific restaurant. If I could give 10 stars I would.

We made a mistake with our order and it was delivered to the wrong address - which was our fault - Steve at pizza express very kindly re baked the order for us and even gave a little discount to my son who did the dirty delivery deed accident … thanks very much steve

Visited recently and delighted that staff were happy to make me a pizza that is not on the current menu but has been my long time favourite.

A little treat on a Saturday night for me and my 7 year old son. It was early evening so nice and quiet. Good food and service. My son was given an activity sheet to keep him occupied which was good. Used the app for the 1st time to book and pay which was very easy to do.

Had a fantastic meal on Fathers Day. Great service and lovely pizza's as always.

Ordered vegan penne. Dreadful passata. Very bland . Had to send it back . Apparently that's their standard but it isn't good enough at £14 No garlic, or basil . Very watery , lacks seasoning and should have been slow cooked until tastes rich like their yummy harrisa for the dough balls . First time I've been since lockdown and unfortunately won't be going back when we have some great restaurants in the area

The normal sized pizzas are now evidently smaller in size, but remain the same price as before even though they are now smaller!

No one in at 6 no food until 7pm bit tough on the little ones and was appalled at the size of my lasagne no meat just sauce gone downhill in my opinion some years since I've been won't be going again

Myself and my daughter came for Lunch and the service was friendly and attentive. My daughter loved colouring in the chef's hat whilst being able to watch and wave at them in the kitchen at same time. The food was served speedily and excellent as always.

I always hate to leave bad reviews and very rarely do. We were sat for more than 20 minutes before anything was said to us and a few of the staff seemed to be doing absolutely nothing throughout this time. We did get to order after this time and the food was very nice and hot. However I do feel like asking for a beer was a chore and a greivance for the staff. Not all the staff were bad as two of them seemed to do everything and the rest seemed to do absolutely nothing but wait for the others and pretend to be busy. There was no personal touch in the waiting but the food was good as always. I think a lot of time was spent on takeaways which is fine but I think if you sit in at a RESTAURANT you should be prioritised. A shame coz I’ve always loved pizza express.

It’s a long time since I’ve been to this Pizza Express and I won’t be going back. My pizza was rubbish: small and stodgy. You could get something better in any supermarket freezer section. There are many good pizzerias in Leeds - why do people go to a huge chain owned by a hedge fund?

We went for a Mother’s Day meal with 3 Adults and 3 Children. Apparently the waiters / waitress are supposed to ask if anyone in your party is allergic to anything. This didn’t happen. Why not? My granddaughter is Allergic to Lactose. This could have resulted in a serious problem for her. They are slow, the food was quite average and it was a shame as a few years ago it was good. My son’s pizza arrived with raw mushrooms on it, they were supposed to be cooked. We were in there for about 2 1/2 hours because they were so slow. It wasn’t busy in there either. Personally I will not return and when it’s so bad it’s an utter waste of money.

I came here with my daughters for lunch. The staff were very friendly and interacted with my children. The children's menu had something they all liked, and they made a pizza for my daughter with no cheese and extra pepperoni. We will definitely be visiting again! 😊

I was with my boyfriend on a spontaneous evening out, we didn't have an earlier reservation, but Dorota found a place for us and took great care of us. my boyfriend wanted something spicy and ordered Calabrese, which turned out to be sensational, as did my Padana with goat cheese, which I'm a big fan of :-) we will definitely come back here.

I dined with a group of 14 friends this evening. Our waiter, Marius, knows the true meaning of hospitality. He was so curtious, helpful, knowledgeable and patient (especially when sorting out all of our payments on a new system). Bravo! Will definitely eat there again. Delicious food too 😋

After over 10 years of visiting the Street Lane branch of PE, our visit this evening it was like visiting a completely different restaurant! The service felt really shambolic, courses arrived whilst we were still eating, the lasagne was so bad I had to send it back ( which to be fair the manager was very apologetic about) and the pizzas ranged between soggy to burnt. But by far my biggest gripe which is unforgivable, was the total disregard for hygiene I witnessed in the kitchen. Chefs touching their faces, noses, mouths, scratching their hair and then touching the food with their same, unwashed, bare hands. At one point 3 kitchen staff including the head chef were looking at/touching thier phones whilst preparing food! Enough to put us off I'm afraid.

What happened to this restaurant??? No service whatsoever, every single staff member was dealing with home deliveries, completely ignored us and never asked if we want another drink or anything else, last time we visited in summer service was great then but now I would say it felt like a takeaway pizza shop. Pizza dry like a biscuit 😑 didn’t enjoy it whatsoever.

Visited here with my son earlier today. I was the lady with the big summer straw hat and maxi linen blue and white dress! And my son with the sunglasses and magnificent moustache! And now for the food review. We had vegan pizzas and both where better than we accepted. Great to see a good variety of vegan menu options. We had the vegan American classic pizza and the vegan sloppy. Free dough balls if you download the app. The service was good. Overall a great little place. Will definitely visit again.

Worst restaurant & service! Dried food on the menu to start. Order a prawn pizza, prawns weren't de-vained. Ask for more parmesan(never arrived) found a blonde hair on the pizza, after complaining the manager took 15 minutes to come over to offer another pizza which we declined because clearly hygiene isn't practiced well in the kitchen. Asked for the bill twice, then had to ask to pay twice. They knocked the infested pizza off the bill. This was my first and last time going to this restaurant.

After a very disappointing start to our birthday evening at a local Harvester at Colton Leeds, where the food was inedible. We decided to make to best of a bad thing and head to Pizza Express. We were greeted by a very smiley and friendly member of staff who glady showed us to a freshly cleaned table. We told her about the previous encounter at the harvester and she ensured us that she would tell the chefs to do their best. Starters were lovely but the highlight was the pizzas. To say they were fresh is an understatement, the base was light as ever and so crisp (they do offer a thicker base). Toppings were so tasty, we hardly talked while we ate which to me is a true sign of a top meal. There's pizza then there's pizza express. Thanks again to our waitress.

Not it's best tonight. What happened to some of the dough balls? More like doh balls. Great waitress made up for it tho. Stopped selling basic apple juice and orange juice. Why? Ran out of king prawns, calamari, bechamel sauce, mozerella and profiteroles! Pudding was served burnt rather than warmed. Pics made up for it though.

My son would move in here if he could. Staff are always friendly and the food is always spot on.

Food was nice. As a large party of 19 we had pre ordered. Food was delivered quickly for chdren with adult not far behind. However we had ordered one meal wrong but they quickly changed it for us with no quibble from them. Very helpful and efficent and friendley. Would be quite happy to return and to recommend.

This place is too expensive, it's over priced. The service was good but wouldn't go there again. I had to pay over £50 quid for salad for two. Way too over priced. I could have gone to a proper restaurant.

As Pizza Expresses go this is one of the worse restaurants I've been to. Service is slow and sloppy, and food is often cold. They just seem very disorganised. I feel that this restaurant survives on location alone, rather than quality in it's own right, which is a shame. Not sure any Dukes would visit here.

A mixed experience. Have previously enjoyed visits here and food still good however service slow today and the artic chill from the delivery driven us to Starbucks.

Lovely restaurant but the managements are a bit arrogant and not there to help apart of arguments with customers, I had an issue with a voucher code and dined there with my son as he loves pizza express and we attend the Pizzaexpress every 3 times a week but as we live near the pizza express in street lane than this is very handy for my son to have a pizza, my wife just gave birth to our daughter and she couldn’t attend the pizza express but she ordered me a pizza with a deal of £11,95 two course menu we ask the manager louna and she responded not valid on takeaways I explained the that my wife can’t come in because she just gave birth she was not interested at all I said we already spending enough here with my son! In my view managers are there to help the customers need not just through it at your face. We are aware of terms of conditions but there always an Exceptional to deliver a great service at the end we fed up and left.

My grandson took me with a voucher he won from his school raffle, told staff on arrival. Staff were welcoming and friendly, there was a good atmosphere. The staff were attentive but we were not rushed. The menu was varied taking different dietary requirements into account. I chose a new starter but had same main I have had several times, it was the best I have had it. I rarely have a pudding but as it was on voucher had a mini desert with coffee, good idea, it was enough and delicious! I would choose the Street Lane restaurant again.
