Pizza Express in East Hampshire

Great service by Emma, food was delicious and was cooked by akram and joy. The manager MD took care of us offering us extra sides and dips. Would definitely reccomend!!

Had a minor problem in pizza express petersfield and Ahad couldn’t do enough to put it right and very quickly. We had a great meal with wonderful service from Shoheli. She was so kind and efficient and just really added to a great experience and meal.

Food was lovely, service was friendly and quick. We were there on a Sunday evening so it was relatively quiet. Staff helped us sort out an issue we had with the bill nice and efficiently

We had a kids birthday party here and Moktasil was fab. He made it really fun and had lots of patience with the kids.

Visited on the 12/10 - party of 12. Amazing service and food. Managed to fit us in at short notice due to being let down by another venue. Not from the area but would definitely visit again just for the great service!

I find it very difficult to relate some of the recent reviews to the place I have just eaten in. It has been a regular meeting place for myself and a friend over the last few years and has always been ok. This time, to start with, the door from the high street was locked and a sign directed us to an entrance around the back in Waitrose car park. The manager saw my friend at the door, and in spite of the fact that he is clearly disabled and walking with two sticks, refused to let us in. The restaurant was completely empty at 1pm which should have rung alarm bells. Firstly the waitress seemed unable to understand what we were ordering, and as a result a wrong starter arrived. I have been a Pizza Express regular since the early 70’s so I know what the food should be like. The doughball starters were small and tasteless and looked like they had been taken out of a freezer and microwaved. The pizzas were as thin as a sheet of cardboard and about as tasteless. The toppings - double cheese etc in my case —were if anything even thinner and more tasteless. Finally the bottle of Montepulciano, if in fact it was that wine, tasted like the cheapest table wine you might get in a knock-off corner grocery. All in all a very black mark on the name of Pizza Express. Have these been sold off as franchises? If so I would advise PE to keep a closer eye on quality control before its good reputation built over many decades is reduced to mediocrity.

Rainy Thursday lunchtime meal, cannot blame Pizza Express for lack of atmosphere as there were very few customers in a big restaurant. Food was ordinary and relatively expensive, though a Tesco voucher covered half the bill. Did not bother with desserts which looked expensive.

Shoheli was great. Very attentive to allergies and really friendly and helpful. Really good service, great ambassador for PE.

Poor service ….. slow and painful! Food was ok but bowl of carbonara never worth £15. Burnt hard pasta pieces! Carbonara served covered in Parmesan Cheese. I don’t eat cheese and surely Parmesan and Black Pepper should be offered as a choice! All in all an experience and disappointing meal. No more Pizza Express Petersfield for me!

Went to visit my daughter (for her Birthday) and her partner. We had a lovely time and it was made even nicer by Spike who was very attentive fun and sorted out the Birthday Cake that we gave him for the end of the Evening. Thanks so much.

We held our son's 8th birthday at Pizza Express. In total there were 12 children who all had an amazing time! They were looked after so incredibly well by all the staff and were captivated by making their own pizzas and subsequently eating them! A fantastic children's birthday party - highly recommended! Special shout out to the manager who lead the proceedings and entertained the children.

Service was really slow, 45mins for dough balls when it wasn't busy. Restaurant is really noisy and food cold when it arrives.

We visited on a Tuesday evening and it was quite early. The restaurant was very busy with young children who were very loud and running around. They were just left to it and we're getting in the way of the staff. This is not the fault of the restaurant or the staff but it did spoil our experience. We will stick to eating here later on in an evening. As usual the food was delicious and hot. The staff are amazing and work hard to make sure the customers are happy. They clean the tables thoroughly and are always pleasant.

We were a big group of 12 and we got lucky being able to get a table. Akram was our waiter for the night- he’s the head chef but and was put on the floor for the night and he was amazing! He was so attentive, patient and friendly.

Absolutely perfect. The manager is brilliant and he leads a great team. Everyone was welcoming and friendly to my teenage son and his friends celebrating his birthday. They coped easily with a group of 17 - the pre-ordering was simple and made service very efficient. Food was delicious (we ate discreetly at another table!) and staff were always keen to help if anyone needed anything. They brought out his cake with everyone joining in singing enthusiastically. There is always a great atmosphere in this restaurant and it was a perfect place to celebrate a birthday.

Long overdue date night… Petersfield pizza express. Booking at 29/03/24 1930hr. Been a while since we’ve been out and spend most of the day struggling to find somewhere to go. In the end we had settled on pizza express out of ease. Our local is Gunwharf but it’s normally over crowded and loud for a restaurants. This time however I chose to go little out there and head up to Petersfield branch and my goodness did it make our night. Staff were attentive to every request and treated us like royals. Couldn’t fault them one bit. The food was fantastic and we really enjoyed our night! Thank you Petersfield pizza express. I will be returning! (Photos missing obligation pesto dough balls… I ate them too quick!)

Service was good. Food OK but expensive for what it is. Pizzas don't have enough cheese. 3 course Kids meals cost the same as one adult desert so really good value. Dough Ball starter is great, especially gluten free.

Visited Pizza Express, Petersfield, for a family lunch for my daughter's 6th birthday. What first-class service from Shoheli! Shoheli is always excellent and made our daughter's celebration very special. Nothing was too much trouble, and Shoheli even provided a little box of goodies for the birthday girl to take home with her. Credit also to the chefs for our delicious food. There's a reason why we're regular customers, and we'll be back.

They all made delicious pizzas, and had a brilliant time making and eating them. As well as the dough ball starters and ice cream desserts. My son was thrilled to get the huge sundae prize for his pizza! I'd definitely recommend a pizza making party here.

I have always been so impressed by the quality and friendliness of the Pizza Express in Petersfield, I have been a regular since I was little and the staff have always treated me with respect and kindness. Chef Akram makes the most delicious bolognaise and has practically watched me grow up and still whenever I come for a meal greets me with a smile and asks how I'm doing, the fact that the service is always up to this standard is so impressive!!

Not much to choice from very overpriced for what you get, and 1 pizza was a bit burnt, and the pasta upset my stomach. It was freezing cold in the restaurant and service was slow but the girl was very polite.

Took my mum to lunch here today. Both of us were very disappointed. My margarita classic had undercooked dough and everything was very overpriced for what it was.

Gone are the days when I would recommend pizza express to Italians. I remember the anticipation of visiting their flagship place, the dairy, in London. The smell of the dough…..well that’s gone. It’s children’s food now around the level of that gastronomic wasteland-Pizzaland! Real shame. Today my pizza was dry, rubbery and dull, similar to what I’ve had in other branches. Nice friendly service though and I must say my starter of mozzarella and tomatoes well coated with a nice pesto was good- a mix of small sweet toms. Great company with my happy grandson made it all worthwhile

Excellent service with good music atmosphere and big portions to full up my stomach, plus very tasty, good menu selection, a lot of choose inside the menu for all kind of taste, vegan options, vegetarian options and GF, quality ingredients, favourite place, for sure will be back.

Visited recently and had an excellent meal. We all gathered for my granddaughters birthday party and all agreed that the service and food was excellent. We were given excellent service from our waiter Spike, who was excellent with the children. Nothing was too much trouble for him. We all agreed that we have never had a negative experience at this Pizza Express.

Fantastic children’s pizza making birthday party! The party started before the restaurant opened for lunch. The children put on hats and aprons and had lots of fun making their own pizzas. They had starters whilst they waited for them to cook and an activity sheet. Unlimited squash/water throughout and ice cream to follow the pizza too. A great team lead the party and were very friendly and helpful. Thank you!

I have had lunch here on a few occasions and its always been very good, infortutnelty that wasn't the case this Sunday. The waitress was polite and helpful, the starters arrived promptly and where very nice however the pizza's also arrived minutes later while we where still eating, the server placed one on the table and just hovered over the table with the others which he would have been quite happy to squeeze onto the table if we had let him. Eventually we had to ask him to take them away and put under the hot shelf until we had finished. Within seconds after finishing our starter they where back again, the pizza's where far from great and the Calzone was a bit of a joke, miniature in size with very little filling. It was great to be back with family at Pizza Express restaurant in Petersfild and was absolutely blown away by the exceptional service provided by Akram 😊 The attention to detail and genuine care for our dining experience made the visit truly exceptional. We find ourselves returning to this restaurant time and again, solely because of the outstanding service they consistently deliver. Kudos to Akram and the entire team for creating such a memorable dining atmosphere. We will be back soon again!!

often eat at this chain but tonight was not up to scratch. Calzone was burnt on the bottom and was sent back. Another arrived which was just about ok, but seemed slightly underdone in places. Pizza was fine.

Went there with my friends .We were there for a staycation and some local people suggested us to visit pizza express for great food with friendly atmosphere.The restaurant was super busy but I was super happy with their service. The staffs were super friendly and we felt really comfy over there. We ordered some dough balls, calamari ,Pasta and pizza.I must say the food was super yummy . Overall it was a great experience. Will definitely recommend Petersfield pizza express to friends and family.

Awful service. Took over an hour to simply deliver pizza. Didn’t recognise we existed. When questioned about their poor service they were unfriendly. Food was average at best. Don’t come here if you value your time.

Pizza's in themselves were pretty good. Ordered them online to be collected at approx 730pm . Turned up to collect and they hadn't started to make them, was sat waiting for nearly 30 minutes. So ordering them online with a collection time was pointless. The restaurant was fairly busy. In the end the food was good. But I was left standing around and in the end just sat down and waited. Update. Been back this weekend. We were served by a lady. I'm sure her name was Afrin (afrin if I got that wrong, shoot me). This lady was fantastic!! Customer service doesn't get any better. Friendly kind manner , did everything perfectly and with a smile. I hope she got 100% of the tips we left her.(also smelt fantastic) Thanks for a great evening . Altering my rating just because of her .

We should’ve walked away. No one greeted us at the door for at least 10 minutes although the restaurant was quiet and staff kept looking at us but no one acknowledge we were there. Once sat at the table, we were ask for drinks instantly which I don’t mind as I knew what I wanted some people may want to settle down before hand. We ordered our food in a timely manner however we waited a lot longer for our food and my guess is that it sat on side waiting for the food server to bring our food as our pizzas were next to cold. Our chips and halloumi bites arrived 10 minutes after our pizzas which were awful. They tasted like oven chips. No complaints we’re made as we were on a tight schedule, however I wouldn’t recommend this Pizza Express in Petersfield. Going back to my original sentence, we should’ve walked away, pizzas were less than ok, next to cold and stay away from the chips.

Really unimpressed to be honest. The pizzas are incredibly overpriced, it's always been expensive but they're taking the cake now. They're also really small if you dont take the romana base.

The guys at Pizza Express are always so welcoming and keep us coming back. Great with the kids and super attentive. The manager and the team are brilliant.

The portion size from the kids meal was once again too small, even for our ten year old...not to mention the quality was not good, it had hardly any pasta, a tiny portion of pasta and a tiny amount of cheese provided.. very disappointing. The adult meals were ok but nothing more, no problems but the food wasn't outstanding or anything. Drinks generally were expensive for what they were. We asked for some tap water part of the way through....this never turned up. We actually laughed when the kids deserts came out....literally like one small brownie square cut up each.

Ten members of the family had a meal at Pizza Express Petersfield using Tesco Clubcard vouchers. Our waiter, Michael, was amazing and spent time talking to us and making sure our four young guests 9, 8, 7 & 5 years old were fully involved in choosing their meals. The chef was brilliant too and allowed the children to make their own Pizzas, which they loved. Michael took them to the ice cream cabinet and let them customise their desserts. Made a very memorable meal out as one of our sons, his wife and three children were flying home to Chicago the following morning. Thank you Pizza Express Petersfield.
