Pizza Express in Dartford

Cold pizza. Must have been standing 10 mins before it came out . Miserable toppings . Mainly tomato purée. Won’t be going back in a hurry.

Pizza express used to my friends go to lunch spot in London as a treat and it was always reasonably priced but yikes the cost for pizza has gone through the roof. £12 for a plate size margarita and up to £18 for other pizzas, this to me is extortionate especially as you can get a genuine lovely authentic pizza much cheaper elsewhere . I will not be going back. Waitress was lovely and service was good.

We stopped by Pizza Express for some lunch whilst we were at bluewater, and we were really impressed. We were seated super quickly by the person at the desk. Our server, whose name I can’t remember, said she was in training and to bare with us. I wouldn’t have known she was in training - she was fabulous! Really attentive, made sure our order was all correct, and kept us updated on the progress of our order. We love pizza express because you always know what you’re going to get - pollo pesto for me and Romano American hot for my partner. Always so good. We’d always recommend Pizza Express.

Nice service looked like a manager that took order I asked for low fat cheese because normal reacts with medication obviously he didn't listen and I had bad stomach don't know if I'll go again

Ordered Uber Eats. I'm a professional chef and it is my first day off in 21 day so I'm not cooking. Pizza with PASLEY? Wtf???? Whorlton kind of bs it is. Pizza and wing for 20£ for One.... In the mood for a quick bite to eat after the cinema and this was the closest to the car park I used. Waiting staff were attentive & friendly which made the visit pleasant. The resturant itself was rather busy so food took a little while to arrive but nothing you wouldn't expect considering how busy it was. If you are fancying a affordable lasagna & beer then it's somewhere I would return

This is a review for Pizza Express in Bluewater shopping centre, Greenhithe Kent. This was a Mothers Day ‘treat’ for the family. The restaurant was fully booked given it was a weekend lunchtime and Mothers Day. Kept waiting for our booked table, and once seated noted how noisy it was. The food arrived quickly but all the pizzas were very sparse, lacking toppings. It seems they like to give a very large pizza base but skimp on the good stuff. There were several desserts missing from the menu, apparently this is due to a new menu being launched next day - not great planning given it was Mothers Day and a fully booked restaurant. The bill came to £210 for 7 adults and one child - which felt very expensive for the quality of food and lack of dessert choice. Similar experience had in another Pizza Express branch, so I’m wondering if Corporate are dictating cost-cutting. We won’t return.

Service terrible, we waited over 15 minutes for drinks and an hour for our food. The toilets are disgusting, dirty and poorly maintained. Won’t be coming back

Awful service and rude manager. Chef burned spaghetti carborana and it looked congealed. Hd a 20 minute wait as the waiter forgot to put one order through. Had to sit with no food whilst rest of family ate. Would never return!

Table missing a fork and easier to fetch one myself from another table. Spotlights on table felt more like floodlights - very uncomfortable. Not exactly relaxed dining under those conditions. Food delivered with no offer of pepper (this is an Italian right?). No early check to see if everything okay (basic trick to avoid a review like this!). Had much better experiences at other branches but the bluewater village branch needs some serious training and an experienced eye on it.

Veggie aubergine pasta for the wife and garlic prawns pizza plus green salad for me. Served lukewarm on cold plates, the pasta got sent back and a new one was served, still in a cold bowl!! The pizza was consumed in double quick time before it was entirely cold. This was not the plan, the green salad was meant to be a “side” but had to be deferred to eat the pizza while it was still edible heat. FFS, the clues are in the restaurant brand name I.e. Pizza and Express, make it quicker and warmer and you might live up to the brand aspirations. We are not coming back, I only wish we had read the Tripadvisor scores before we sat down, if we had we wouldn’t have.

Booked a table here for a family of 5 on Sunday afternoon. Waited 40 minutes to be served. Attempted to get the waitresses/waiters attention on numerous occasions however was ignored. On a sunday afternoon the restaurant was empty only had 6 tables occupied and there were plenty of staff so staff shortages cannot be blamed. Asked to speak with the manager who apologised but didn't appear to try and resolve or take ownership of the problem. Decided to walk out and went to Zizzi's, a few doors down, much better service, food was great and was a lot busier! Would avoid this pizza express!

Recently ordered via Deliveroo an American Pizza with chicken as an extra topping, garlic bread pizza express, free dough balls pizza express and 2 x lasagna classica. Pizza was very good and always enjoyable. The first issues were that there was virtually no meat in the lasagna with a lot of tomato sauce and the portion was quite small considering the cost (£13-45). I would be more than happy to pay this if there was any meat in it and a slightly larger portion, but disappointed with this. I am assuming the restaurant meal is a bigger portion otherwise would have complained. No issue at all with flavour so if looking for a lasagna with no meat flavour this would be good. If there was more meat and less tomato sauce this could be really good - definitely not a classic. Secondly the garlic bread (I mean bread with butter or mozzarella on top but no garlic I could taste) was very basic and cost £6-45 and the halloumi bites were very small in size and quantity and £6-25. I realise these are starters but the cost is extortionate for what you get. I was expecting the meal would fill me up, but neither my partner who is a small eater or myself as a normal eater feel full up. In fact 5 mins after my meal I am still hungry with my stomach rumbling. I have no issues with their Pizzas and will continue buying from them on Deliveroo, but disappointed with the cost and content of their lasagna and will not buy any other dishes in future.

Slow service. Slow for food to come out. Not very clean outside where we sat. Food was quite nice. Had to ask each time when we wanted to order. Asked for a desert menu, waiter looked at me and said 'yeah' then carried on talking to a colleague. Menu didn't come so had to get up and walk inside to go and get one. My family of 3 went for dinner at Pizza Express in Bluewater (by the cinema) on the 22nd August 2019. When we were seated, we noticed that the cutlery on our table was dirty. We pointed this out to the waitress who said that she would bring us clean knives and forks. When our drinks arrived, we were ready to order from the menu. My husband wanted the Funghi Di Bosco pizza which was clearly advertised outside. The waitress informed us that this was not available and that in addition, the two sides that we wanted (Halloumi Bites and Polenta Fries) were also unavailable that evening. There were only two remaining sides left to choose from. At this point, we decided that we would try another restaurant after we had finished our drinks.

Me and my mum visited here yesterday as we had the O2 code which was two dine for £10. You could chose from any classic pizza or al Forno dish. For a leggerra or Calabrese pizza there was an addition charge which was only £1.80 each. Me and mum went for the Calabrese and the Barbacoa Romana which were both divine! Quite spicy but lovely. The guy came over pretty quickly to take our order but we weren’t ready, so he said he would come back. We just had a jug of water to share, it came in a jug which was pretty grim. A plastic scratched jug which would be used at a child’s party or school dinners at school lol. Other than the tacky jug the meal was nice. Would return.

Pizza Express at Bluewater never disappoints. The staff are excellent & it’s nice to see some of the employees have been there for many years. I always have the lasagne & love it burnt around the edges & it’s always cooked perfectly to my instructions. There is a good mixture of food on the menu including lower calorie offerings - you can still have pizza on a diet. I wish they would offer a decent green salad as a separate side dish. Great for families and groups.

Bit of a let down today! Visited various pizza express over the last few years and always know what to expect but wasn’t expecting poor food!! Have had the Legerra pizza (600 calorie) many times but won’t do it again! Either they changed the format or it was just poorly made today! Pizza base was more like a whole meal wrap and the sloppy guiseppe beef looked like watered down mince! Tomato paste on base watery too! Toilets were out of order too, so customers had to leave the restaurant or use their one disabled toilet by the entrance- which resulted in people queuing getting in the way of people coming in! Don’t think I’ll be visiting pizza express for a while!

I've been here before a few times, always with family (with elderly parents & young kids) who live near Bluewater. This was something of an occasion, a family reunion lunch. We'd always enjoyed our previous visits but it had been a few months since we'd last been there. And now? It's all changed. Gone are the staff that used to work there (a lovely waitress called Sylwia not present), replaced by staff who seem utterly clueless when it comes to customer service and the dining experience. It was just embarrassing, with one wrong move after another. Missed orders, long delays, food not served (even though it was ready & waiting in the kitchen), then food served cold, plates not cleared before next courses served (we did our own tidying up), and a waiter who, when I asked for the standard issue garlic oil, looked at me with confusion & dismay, like I'd just asked him to cartwheel naked across the shop floor.

Firstly feeling peeved as restaurant excluding Taste card until September, Great move guys for school holidays very bad. On from that the two pizzas ordered were stone cold, lettuce dumped in middle with no though,this offering is over £12each bad value. So those with a coffee £20 each, will avoid for summer. Only good point is you can eat outside in hot weather and waiter very pleasant

Our waiter Vos was one of the best waiter's we've ever had. So friendly, helpful and cheery. Even sung with us and kept us thoroughly entertained. Highlight of the visit.

Firstly the waiter never actually asked if my food was okay, I then had to advise him that I had a hair in my food which he the run off and got his “manager” called Micheli. I can tell you one thing Micheli has no customer service skills and he definitely has no management skills either! He started shouting saying no one here has long hair and implied we had planted it in our food!! I mean we both have short brown hair this hair was long and ginger...He then sighed and stormed off. I mean I would of accepted an apology but he was that rude another table even approached us and said we need to complain as that was unacceptable. A guy called David then did speak to us and tried to resolve it with 50% off but I already had a taste card so just didn’t feel it resolved how we was spoke to! We did get a call later apologising from Morgan who sincerely apologised which is all I wanted in the first place!

A meal without the kids for a change and we enjoyed our meals here. Quick service and the 2 for 1 meerkat deal made this an affordable meal! And we paid on the pizza express app it was great! So much better than waiting for someone to pay for the bill!

Visited here with my partner and took advantage of the 2 courses for £11 (around that) deal, we had the doughballs & garlic mozzarella bread for starters and the classic American pizzas for mains, we both found the food lovely and would return again.

Went to see Avengers Endgame at Bluewater at 915am, if you’ve not seen it, Captain America dies. We were hungry so we popped in for pizza.

Salads are nice, so are the pizza’s - but they need to improve their menu - add some fun to vary their menu. Bored of the options, not moved on as a restaurant.

We waited for a good 20 minutes before anyone took our order, we then had to wait a further 20 minutes before anyone took our plates and gave us the bill. Extremely poor service. Will not be returning.

My partner and I went for a late dinner. We enjoyed our meal, paid and left. Half way around Bluewater our waiter appeared with his phone saying that there had been a problem with their system whilst we had paid. There had not been because we had our receipt, proof of purchase, and were able to produce this for him. He wanted to show this to his manager and asked us to accompany him back to Pizza Express. (I think because he was afraid of getting into trouble with his manager). We walked, reluctantly back, and then were promptly ignored in the restaurant as the waiter presumably left to find his manager. The manager then appeared, didn't speak or look at us but looked at our receipt. Appalling! To be dragged back as if we had run out on the bill with not even an explanation or thanks! Won't be returning and will also watch our account closely to make sure that their glitch doesn't take more than we owed.

Service was appalling and it was not that busy. Tried to get waiter's attention several times for pepper and to pay our bill. Seemed to be more interested in the tables with children.

Food and service was good but the acoustics were so poor that it was impossible to have a conversation because of the background noise. This spoilt the occasion. Not a place to visit if you are deaf.

Called in on a week night with family, had to wait 10 mins for a table when they didn't seem that busy. staff could really do with cheering up a bit. its came across that we was bothering them. when seated we had to wait again for drinks and again I think our waiter had other things to do and we put him out. Went with family when at Bluewater for a shopping trip. Ordered Ragu Pizza from the new menu. Waiter was unfriendly, drinks took ages to order. Glasses were handed to each of our party of 4 by the rims which indicates poor training. Glasses should always be handled from the base which is more hygienic. Anyway after wiping the rims with the very small rough paper napkins, we then waited another 30 minutes for our Pizzas. Mine was the thinnest base ever which was made wet from the uncooked & cold toppings and basically disintegrated. I tried to attract the waiters attention but he only came when we had 'apparently' finished. He didn't comment on my half eaten pizza and just said finished' as a statement, and not a question. No waiter skills. I just paid and left..........for the last time.

My partner & I came today for lunch. We knew it was busy and we’re happy to wait. We orders starters of garlic bread and two pizzas. 50mins has gone by and still nothing. I work in hospitality and have done for 15 years, so was shocked when the manager brought over the PIZZA not the starters. I explained we hadn’t had our starters yet and she proceeded to say “well, do you need that first?” To which I replied, “well yes, we would of liked our starters first, please”. I got a very sarcy “no worries right away!” To which she turned back to give me the most filthy look. I was done.

Thought we’d use our xmas voucher whilst at Bluewater and i’m glad we got it over with as we did not enjoy ourselves. The restaurant is like a school canteen with childrens parties, kids running around, it was so incredibly loud in there.

I used to really rate this chain so I decided to see if they were a good as they use to be? Although the restaurant was empty it was a real struggle to be seated away from the windows, the greeter eventually allowed us to do this but initially refused! The severe once seated was fine but the place was untidy and a little dirty see attached photos. The food quality was average the lasagne was microwaved and is best describe as ‘school dinners’. I used to really rate this chain but the deterioration has been dramatic, I will not be back. The customer care was not good and the images speak for themselves!

My son and six of his friends visited the restaurant for his 18th birthday late afternoon. My wife and I had dropped off a “18th Birthday balloon” with the front of house “maitre d’” at lunchtime the same day and asked them to give him the balloon which he agreed to. Unfortunately it was clearly too much effort to do this as he never received it. Clearly they put profits before personal service. All very disappointing!!

Heavily understaffed left much to be desired in the service we were given. Drinks weren’t given until we received food. One of the meals got messed up and ended up arriving after everyone else had finished their meal, managements did nothing to compensate for their mistake.

After some xmas shopping wanted somewhere quite to have a bit. When we walked in the one near the cinema it was almost empty (around 5pm) within 1/2 it was almost full. Pizza was nice & fresh & more than enough for an early supper

We often eat at a Pizza Express, usually eat the same pizzas, and have only ever had one visit previously that was really poor. That was at the Bluewater branch, in the Village area.

We decided to eat at 4:00pm when it was a bit quieter and the restaurant only had a few people in. The waiter was friendly but gave me a litre of sparkling water instead of a half litre. I chose a calorie friendly pizza which has the middle missing and a salad in the centre. It was quite nice not overly filling but was within my weight watchers points. My friend had a calorie fuelled one and that did look tasty. I had some Tesco money off vouchers towards it so it was a reasonable meal. it was good that you can get some low calorie bits in the restaurant, but it is not quite the same!

Good pizzas and great service. Good selection of gluten free options are available too. Drinks a little pricey but overall good value.

We have popped in here a few times and every time we realise we shouldn’t have bothered. The staff are so so slow, despite us speaking to the waiter to say we are in a hurry to go to cinema ( by in a hurry I mean about 45 mins) which you would think you could get a quick pizza in that time! Nope.... no such luck. Stay away, there are other fast food places that are better at dealing with their customers.

Went to the cinema yesterday and decided to eat here after. Restaurant was not busy more than half the tables were free so we thought it would be a nice quick meal to round off the evening. We stood there for 10 minutes and were ignored by all staff. A waiter literally served the table right by where we stood then looked at us and walked back to the kitchen without saying a word!!! It was unbelievable rudeness so we decided to walk out and go somewhere else. I have dined in this restaurant once before a few months ago and again we had to wait a while for someone to come over and seat us then once we did we were told that they didn't have about 4 things on the menu. Our waiter was friendly but service was slow. The other pizza express in bluewater next to Carluccios is better but i find it very loud in there and the service is slow. I won't be bothering with either of these restaurants at bluewater again. There are so many other places in bluewater that serve similar food at good value for money and much better customer service!

Absolutely shocking, service, timing and quality of meals. We were a party of 3 adults and 1 child at the new pizza express by the cinemas, bluewater and can't believe how awful the experience was. Amongst our order was a main meal of chicken and pasta, the dish arrived with NO CHICKEN in it!! the waitress (who was not particularly friendly) did take it back then the wait for the replacement meal was extremely lengthy and we had all finished our meals before it arrived, to top it all the meal wasn't even hot!!! What they had been doing with it, god only knows! When the bill arrived we complained and managed to the cost taken off, however, the child with us had ordered the dough balls starter from the set menu which didn't arrive until after the main course!!!!.............my other concern here is that the chef was arranging the dough balls on the plate with bare fingers (as opposed to wearing blue gloves). All in all a complete shambles here and not the experience we normally receive and expect from Pizza Express. Won't be recommending!!!!........

We popped in for lunch forgetting it was school holidays. It was very busy but we were pleasantly welcomed and shown straight to a table. A very polite waiter immediately took our order for drinks and a pizza each. The drinks arrived quickly and the pizzas soon after which impressed us for such a packed place. The food was very good and the whole experience was great apart from the screaming children, it seems some of the mothers just don't care. We'll certainly be back but out of holiday time.

We have dined here few times, but this time around service and quality of food was much better. Thank you Emma (restaurant manager) for taking good care of us. Paul was perfect host. Thank you guys keep up the good work.

Very disappointed and not what we expected from a Pizza Express (PE). Very poor customer service and very slow to react and also forgetting orders!!!

This was without a doubt the worst restaurant experience I’ve ever had. We were shown to our seats outside, no explanation of the menu or introduction to the waitress. Waited a while to be seen to, where we tried to ask about how much the set menu was, after lots of confusion we ordered all our food to come together.

The only person who saved this visit was the lovely older waitress with glasses serving us.food not great calamari soggy. Olives warm. OVERLY PRICED FOOD FOR NOT GREAT FOOD AND THE REST OF THE STAFF MISERABLE BY THE LOOK ON THEIR FACES. SAVE YOUR TIME AND MONEY

As always with this great chain, superb food, although this time got caught out badly. Downloaded their new app as suggested by their website and it suggested a meal deal of starter and main for £12.95, to which we all ordered. The bill arrived a couple of pounds shy of £100......the very small print upon us querying this states...on selected items only. Right Royally ripped off, no pizza Express meal is worth £100 for 4, two of them being kids. Shame as it was a spur of the moment thing after a movie. Watch the small print guys. Otherwise, cannot beat their American Hot !!

When for lunch with my mum on Saturday. Service was good and our waiter was always checking we were ok. Food was great and restaurant cleanliness was fine and tidy. No problems at all.

Would not choose to eat here again. Service was terrible! Waiter never asked if we wanted more drinks, never asked if our meal was ok (which it wasn’t). As I looked around the staff including the management just seemed more interested in tidying rather than their customers.

I have recently attempted to eat at the new pizza express plaza at Bluewater on two occasions. The first time the concierge left us at the door for tens mins, without any attempt to make eye contact, or acknowledge our presence, even though we were the only people queuing and were standing right next to them. We gave up in the end.
