Oh where to begin. Let's start with the good parts about the restaurant. The decor is pretty good and it hasn't changed much over the years. The staff have changed a lot except for one person and he's doing his best to try and make things better. The rest of the staff are friendly but they do need more training to get up to scratch. They are attentive and do listen to any complaints The food. Oh boy. Ever since the old manager left, it's just been going downhill. After a few months of not coming in (we were out and exploring places other than our hometown), me and my mother decided to come back again today. The arancini sauce had no spice, the mushroom risotto was bland and had the consistency of PVA glue. The olives were extremely over salted because they were just left in the brine. The penne giardiniera, pasta wasn't even undercooked it was just dough, the sauce was over salted and the dish couldn't be eaten. It was sent back, and it came out wrong a second time. Not great. I don't think I'll be going here again unless the food improves. Check your bill as well because they forget to change the bill if you have one of the set menus

Ate early evening in Carluccios and have to say the food was pretty good. The service however was slow and we had to ask if our main course had been forgotten. If the restaurant was busy you can understand waiting a bit longer but there was 4 or 5 people in there. I will definitely go again even just to try to get a smile out of the staff.

So, second outing here - definitely seems to be hit and miss. Orders were: Spinach Giardina, Cheeseburger, Chicken Milanese, Chicken Milanese burger, cheese and garlic Focaccia and bread basket. Bread was satisfying, not the greatest but went down well. Oil and Vinegar were great quality and helped the bread out. Service had one menu mistake and one portion of overcooked frites, but replacements came quickly and overall the service was speedy and friendly. We were also given a £10 discount due to these issues. Burger and Giardina were very good, Milanese burger was a little dry and the Chicken Milanese bizarrely came with basically nothing. I probably should have read the description better but for £16 I didn't expect a breaded chicken fillet, 2 stewed cherry tomatoes and a finger bowl of green leaves. I wouldn't order that again but I may give this place a third try at some point.

Frequent Bluewater visitors, we visited this restaurant for the first time. Mediocre! Prawns marinara for starters was good. My husband's sea bass was OK. But how on earth can an Italian restaurant get pasta so wrong? I had lasagne and it was the worst one I have ever had. Dry without a sign of bechamel sauce, burnt areas, the mince was almost invisible so little of it. Just a mess of dry inedible pasta with a smattering of tomato. A 175ml glass of wine was £8.40, very over-priced. We refused to stump up 12.5% tip - 10% is quite adequate for a cafe-style place as service was good. So, the first time will be the last. Shockingly bad for an Italian restaurant.

Visited here as a group of 7 and were seated quickly. Our waitress was patient and friendly. You can choose food from the set menu, either 2 courses or 3 courses for a fixed price. But you have to look carefully for the symbol next to the food which shoes you this is in the set menu. It can be quite easy to miss the symbol. One person from our party ordered 2 courses from the set menu, and when it came to paying, the waitress said they should have said this when ordering, not at payment. Nevertheless, the waitress solved the price difference after this was raised at payment. The restaurant wasn't overly busy, and food did take a while to come out. But all food was served hot, and the waitress ensured we had everything we needed before eating. I feel portion size was quite small, especially the pasta. However, the carbonara tasted delicious! Everybody enjoyed their meals and said it was tasty. If you are a chocolate lover, I definitely recommend the chocolate brownie! Again, it was a faily small size but it was delicious!! We had a great visit here, food was tasty, and staff members were polite and accommodating.

The lady at the door said they had run out of food as it had been busy all morning, WTF? How can you run out of food = pasta, spaghetti, bread, tomatoes etc, at 2:pm and how long would it take for someone to go to the supermarket and get some more? Bluewater shopping centre is open until 9:pm on a Saturday... Had they run low on beverages too? We have never known anything like it and are not surprised that most outlets have shut down. It is absolutely ridiculous and Mr Carluccio himself would be turning in his grave at the fact this place turns it's customers away due to a lack of food?......

We also noted that a glass on the table looked dirty but was advised it was constant washing in a dishwasher that made the glass misty. Had I been the manager I would have disposed of the glass. Staff are lovely, however, food often doesn't turn up all together and so one person has to wait. Today we chose to go there and not Cŏte, but it was a mistake. I had the duck and it was appalling: it had not been cooked fresh and had been reheated so it was more like dried meat. 80% was inedible, so I asked the waiter to show the Chef. We were offered one free desert, but weren't having desert. Sorry, but your chef should not be allowing this low standard of food to leave the kitchen. Customers aren't going to be appeased by free deserts - just make sure the food you serve is good quality. I''m afraid we will be voting with our feet and going to Cŏte instead for the foreseeable future.

Didn’t seem to be any garlic taste. Was left half eaten. Marina prawns had the thinnest sauce, hardly any flavour. Main Kids pasta for a 2 year old. Served in a scorching hot bowl that our child couldn’t touch as too hot yet managed to contain stone cold pasta. Lasagne. Lukewarm. Burger. Ok. Penne al arrabiata. Sent back and asked not to be replaced. Cold pasta. Was either completely uncooked or left under a heater for so long that it had gone rock hard. If had been eaten would have needed a second as the portion was tiny. We have had better pasta out of a Heinz tin.

I came here today as I needed a place to give my 1 year old boy his lunch. But they were kind and acted with compassion to give me the space I needed to feed my boy. I did say I'd come back with a tip (needed to find a cash point) but I really struggled to find one anywhere in Bluewater! If anyone from Carluccio's reads this, please let me know how I can provide a tip after the event or perhaps donate a little something to a charity you support? Dreadful experience. The young man who greeted us on the door had absolutely no people skills what so ever. He showed us to our table, gave us menus and walked off. No interaction, no emotion, no engagement - nothing. We ordered our food and my burrata arrived as bruschetta and my tomato salad had been made with tomatoes that were so cold I could barely eat them - no flavour at all. My burrata then arrived. Initially I was grateful they had turned it round so quickly, but when I looked at what was on the plate, I can only say that I wish they hadn’t. The cheese looked like it had been dumped on the plate, the prosciutto was the same and the crisp bread was broken. No dressing, no oil and no garnish. This was supposed to be a nice meal for myself and my daughter - it was far from that. I left most of both plates and there was absolutely no comment, no question when the waiter returned to clear the dishes. In his ‘non interactive, robotic manner’ he simply scooped everything up and said ‘ dessert?’ I really would avoid this restaurant and go to one of the many others which can be found in Lakeside.

Pasta crisps came reasonably promptly and that's where the problem started. Must have been another 20 minutes before our mains came and when they came the order was wrong. Partners ravioli was nice but I had to wait another 30 minutes for my pizza (nothing complicated, right?) Was just about to leave when the pizza arrived. The waiting staff were fine, kept us informed, most the time, but 1 hour 20 minutes for some ravioli and a pizza (eventually) is pretty poor. This place is nice and easy to get to and is a beautifully set restaurant. Considering the Tunbridge Wells branch recently closed, we decided to give this place some love. The service was fantastic and food arrived in record speeds. We chose their small meals offering which definitely wouldn't need bread on top as most dishes arrived with bread included. While being very tasty, I felt that some of the dishes lacked finesse - Unfortunately, I don't mean in the way you'd want from a rustic Italian affair. The bruschetta was possibly the biggest let down here. Sliced tomato quarters from around 8 tomatoes, unseasoned and strewn atop some struggling toast is not how I've ever remembered bruschetta being served. Perhaps I'm not Italian enough to know that is really how they eat it out there. Aside from this dish the food was wonderful for a lunchtime break. I didn't mind the price for most of what I was given and especially considering I didn't stick to their lunch menu offering. I would definitely return again, just don't order the bruschetta!

Lovely light lunch. Our server Tina was great. Very attentive. The beef carpaccio was delicious and the kids enjoyed the children’s menu. The carbonara pizza was also a hit. We normally visit for breakfast but lunch was also lovely.

Food took about 25 minutes to arrive. Burger was burnt and crunched when eaten. My pasta was bland and had a random piece of spaghetti in it??

All the staff saw people queueing outside and we were there for 20 mins before we got to front to be told 30-45 min wait and the empty tables were reserved. Could have told people when they saw the q build up , would have taken them a whole 30 seconds less. Very poor service and attitude

The service was very poor, it took 15 minutes for two bottles of water to arrive and 30 minutes for two cesar salads to arrive. Which was totally tastless, a few chunks of tastless unseasoned chicken a whole lettuce covered in a tastless white vinaigrette, the bacon bits were as hard as stone and looked like someone's tooth fillings. We ordered cheesy chips which were so cold the cheese wasn't even melted. The waitress came over to check on us and asked if everything was OK. I said no, in fact the salad was almost inedible, she offered to change the order, I replied that we didn't have 30 minutes to spare to wait for another inedible plate of below par food. To top it off is cost £48 for substandard food. We won't be going back.

I’ve been going to Carluccios since the first one opened and love it. I’ve been so sad to see so many close. But now I may understand why. I’ve just visited bluewater one and it’s open with diners and plenty of room. I was told we can’t take people in a very sulky way. No explanation as to why when I asked. Just a shrug. I don’t know many businesses these days who actively turn down custom. Very odd and disappointing.

Longing for the Penne Giadinera so popped in for lunch. Plenty of seats but told “we aren’t taking people”. When I asked why just given a shrug. Well at least there were other restaurants nearby more than happy to have my custom. What a shame.

Had a terrible experience at Carluccio’s Bluewater. First of all, at the entrance, we were told that the kitchen was closed and it was just 19:15 and the website says it is open till 20:00 on Boxing Day. Luckily, I had reserved a table for 2 for 19:30 and when I showed it to the staff she was dumbstruck and didn’t say anything and led us to our table. Then we ordered grilled Tuna steak with pasta and white sauce. We got the order soon enough but it was pasta on its own with white sauce separate. The tuna was dry as a bone and the whole food was tasteless and cold. Thought of literally throwing the plate but then the mistake was accepted and we got our pasta mixed with sauce but again food was bought cold. We didn’t have the energy to say anything more and finished with the food quickly and left to never return to this place again. We came to this branch many times before as the food is excellent here but not this time and we had the worst Boxing Day dinner after shopping ever. Hope the management takes notice and rectifies the necessities to run a restaurant. I mean I know it's the festive season but then if you don’t want to serve good food just close the door. The waitress eventually made up for the order by giving a discount on the final bill and apologised. It was all good at the end but the experience was forgettable.

Went to boots at Bluewater for a COVID booster, wanted a coffee but not from a fast food place. Came upon carluccios, knew it would be expensive from the table settings and the way the waitress was dressed. Got a much needed coffee, small cup but it was the best coffee we've had out for a long time. Looking forward to trying a meal there.

Arrived with the little one just before noon and there were just a few patrons. Ordered our food and 45 minutes later it still hadn't arrived. People that arrived after us received their food before us. Eventually we cancelled the order and left as we were running late.

Unfortunately, I'm not impressed. The staff were friendly and polite but they didn't keep us informed about our food - we had to ask three times and we were eventually told was an issue with a new chef, and my husband and two year old were left waiting for ages (long after the rest of the food came) for their pizzas. My burger was overdone. The chips and ice cream were lovely and the kids menu was very reasonable. The manager did take £30 off our bill but still, we won't be going back any time soon!

Went or some lunch with family today, was greeted by Justyna who ensured we had a great table. Justyna got our drinks sorted straight away which was amazing as we have little ones. Kids menu was great and food was cooked perfectly. Would recommend to everyone to god to Carluccios Bluewater.

Lovely family meal, the staff welcoming and the food was great, you can tell the extra preparation that has been done by the freshness/taste. They also very accommodating of my son who is very food specific.

Dined on a quiet Monday night. Service was very slow (20 minute wait for 1 portion of panettone for example) but the staff were polite. Food was okay but not better than cooking at home. 2 dishes (Polenta main & Pannacotta) also missing from the menu on the start day of the week 🤔

Popped there today to enquire about a offer on the app. Think the lady was a manager as was rude and could tell she had a long day and didn't want to be there. Working in a near by store were there's alot of us that would use the offer would of been nice if she could find a way to help but guess not. Will definitely not come back again

We visited this restaurant on a Sunday lunchtime and it wasn't very busy. It's a beautiful restaurant. The waitress was very nice and polite and she managed the floor well, a few irks.... The service was slightly slow, considering there wasn't that many customers being abit more attentive would of been a bonus. I asked for my food to be extra spicy as the menu said it was "two chillies" spicy.... Sadly it was not spicy at all. Value for money, not really. The Gamberoni Piccanti cost £11.95 and was not up to par... The flavours wasn't hitting it and although meant to be spicy. Not at all. Honestly for a pasta main costing around £17.... It honestly isn't worth it. I expect full flavours for pricey meals. I would of asked for some chilli sauce or something had we been checked by the waitress about our meal. But she didn't come to see how our meal was and she was mainly in the back so wasn't easy to get her attention. She was very polite when addressing us about dessert. Honestly the restaurant could be 5* if the flavours packed a punch.

Really good service all round let down by massive wait times due to deliveroo orders. Shame and a disservice to the staff who work there
