I went in with my husband and the lady waiting on us was so lovely and accommodating. Actually we had two lovely ladies waiting on us and they were patient and friendly. They had to change my order at no extra cost. Thank you guys!

Really enjoyed my trip to Pizza Express this evening. I went with my boyfriend, our 2 year old and 5 month old. The waitress was incredibly accommodating, making sure we had a high chair, that we sat somewhere that I could enclose my wild toddler in! Parents know how important this is haha The food was lovely. My polo pasta was a little dry but still tasted really good. I think the 3 courses for £26.95 is a really good deal. My toddler had a pizza which looked gorgeous and he ate the whole thing which is rare, so it must have tasted lovely! I have to mention how amazing the baby changing facilities are. The disabled/changing is sparklingly clean, smelt gorgeous which is Iimportant for a nappy change! And there was a padded mat, a little shelf so I could put down my babies things and they even provided nappy bags. I was incredibly impressed and think other parents would be too. Thank you pizza express, we will be back!

Overpriced for the food you get! Pizza was burnt and hardly had no cheese on it and tasted of burnt. Chips were disgusting and tasted like fairy liquid. Waitress forgot to add things we had ordered onto the order, so they didn’t show up and we have to wait. Drinks was okay but the rest was awful

I took my son out for a meal and our server, Alex, was incredibly friendly, upbeat, and attentive, which elevated our experience. Moreover, the food was absolutely excellent.

The girl had a different accent, SERVICE WAS GREAT, food was delicious, will visit again to be served by such a great server. Food was made by chef, Illie, will definitely be back to be served in that lovely wayy.

Ordered a goat and beetroot salad, dough balls and beef lasagne, all the dishes were really good and tasty, the salad with pepper, salt and extra virgin olive oil gave the salad even more taste, good portion, the lasagne was good but not enough mince evident. The place was really clean and the staff were very polite and courteous. With a Fanta can as well the bill came to approximately £32.

Food was ok, little disconcerting watching one person do all the work while rest of the staff stood around chit chatting. I appreciate you only had 6 tables in but surely the rest of you could help the lady waiting all the tables out and spread the load a bit.

As always, one of the most consistent chains out there. Great food, good service. Thoroughly enjoyed this and it was our first time in this shopping area and would definitely come again.

We did 'Doodle & Dine' with the kids. They loved the colouring and games and the hats. Great value kids menu. We enjoyed our pizzas too. Served by Alex who was very attentive and great with the kids. Quick service.

The visit was for a birthday meal and we were made to feel welcome which made the birthday extra special. Great choice of pizzas and meals. Drinks and desserts all great options!

Food took ages to arrive, and was cold on arrival. Weird, because restaurant was only half full. I wonder why… Shame. My children were extremely bored and disappointed.

Our server was Niamh and despite having to deal with some unpleasant customers and it being very busy she always approached us with a smile and was very helpful and friendly.

Service was disgraceful, we order three starters and three mains , during are starters wich where great we where informed that one of the mains was unavailable wich is fair enough do we chose another , this is where it all went wrong , one main came and we waited 15 minutes before we asked on the other two meals wich they said they would check however that meal had gone cold while waiting, so they then took that meal back and later brought along one other meal then ten minutes later the original meal they served wich was now stone cold and the manager bare faced denied it was the original meal and then brought the third meal , however later on the she admitted she lied and they did bring a fresh meal , so in brief the service was totally disorganised and the manager lied but then blamed a chef however when the food eventually arrived correctly it was very good ....

Just had a fabulous meal at the Broughton. The staff were really accommodating and made us feel welcome. As for the food wow. I had a calzone and it was delicious. For starter we had the garlic mushrooms and they were lovely.

Seated at a dirty table (we had a reservation) and given no cutlery for our food. One of the pizzas had potato on it, which wasn't cooked properly and still raw in the centre. It was our first visit here, wouldn't recommend or return.

We were served by Niamh, who helped us out with our takeaway order. I don’t normally leave reviews, but Niamh provided excellent service and made some great recommendations. Kind staff and our pizzas were tasty!

We went to Pizza Express Broughton today, have to say they were brilliant. Missy was our sever and she was lovely, she's definitely an asset that needs to be recognised by the company! Nothing was too much trouble, in fact, all the staff were lovely, despite them being short-staffed due to sickness for which they apologised. There seemed to be an abundance of idiots in there today, you know the ones, professional moaners about nothing in particular, trying to get money knocked off their bills (must have been the rubbish weather!) Despite this, Missy and her fellow servers another one called Neve-sorry if we spelt it wrong- were ace, despite the moaners talking to them like something they'd stepped in. Hats off to all of you, can't wait to go back, to the whinge bags, shame on you! Twelve months ago today, I was in hospital having my prostate removed because of cancer, life's too short, get over yourselves and treat these girls with some respect!! Go to bloody McDonald's next time!!!

Worst takeaway around Chester area

Niamh served us and was so friendly and gave great service, she was really upbeat and gave a good vibe. Food was ace and came quickly, we had a lovely time. Love the vegan options, best vegan pizza you can get.

Staff very disorganised and not helpful apart from the polish girl, bad experience overpriced food and no attention to detail at all, will not return not a restaurant experience for me sorry,

This is the first time I’ve been here in a couple of years and what a disappointment!! Had the leggera pizza and the base was very soggy and wet, not like you’d expect a pizza to be. The salad in the middle was not fresh. My daughter had the children’s dough balls which were almost burnt, the spaghetti bolognese which had an awful after taste and she did not eat it. I did mention this to my server and she said both meals were how they should be. She did offer me a free coke! Very disappointed - will not be returning! The staff were friendly and attentive though.

After a number of poor experiences with Pizza Express in Essex and Liverpool, I was not keen on visiting Broughton. However, every member of staff were absolutely brilliant, the service was attentive, friendly and without fault. The food from the brilliant chef was the best Pizza Express food I'd ever had, perfectly cooked and flawlessly served. The restaurant is clean, the tables well set and nothing was too much for the brilliant staff. All the staff on tonight deserve a bonus from the company for showing a Pizza Express done right. I'll definitely be coming back here.

Wow, what an amazing experience! Upon arrival we were greeted and sat by our waitress Missy, she was bubbly, friendly and welcoming! Once sat she recommended the Pink Apple Juice which was absolutely Devine! The food was amazing and we were recommended by Missy to try the brownie but I’m a sucker for a chocolate fudge cake, which was gooey and soft! Amazing service, thank you!

We had our son’s 10th birthday lunch here today. There were 13 kids and 2 adults. We were so well looked after by Niamh. She was fantastic with us all. Thanks for a great experience.

We really fancied a Romana pizza, therefore we walked in to see if any tables were available. Took a while for a staff member to come over just to state in a rude tone "we are fully booked tonight.", which I found a bit strange due to the amount of free tables we have seen. Didn't question it, however the waitress gave us no option to even book it for later or wait.. so we left. Out of curiosity I checked online when the next table was available, and it showed available space within the next 30 mins! Not really sure why the waitress would have said they are fully booked tonight then? If I didn't have a phone, I wouldn't be able to book it at all so it really did seem like she wanted to get rid off us. As we wanted to have a pizza and already arrived to Broughton, we decided to book on their website and wait half an hour. Came back, the place was almost empty, again slow approach from the staff member at the door, took a while for us to be seated. Then a very slow wait for our order to be taken since the staff were too busy talking with eachother to serve us (other guests also came in way later than us but were served first and were also seated without a reservation). Once ordered, the food came pretty fast and was absolutely delicious.. so big thanks to the chef! It's just a shame the service is so bad and depressing, did not feel welcomed at all but that's probably cause we weren't really welcome.

Ok wasn't terrible but very overpriced for what it is the lack of a salad bar is not good for the price that you have to pay. Pizza Hut much better value for money. Not in a rush to go back

Gave this place the benefit of the doubt having been told last time I had not placed an order despite having an order number and monies being taken out of my account. I ordered a Margherita pizza with extra toppings all veggie based (being a veggie). Got half way through and bit through a meaty texture to my surprise….spat it out and to my revulsion it was a piece of chicken. Avoid!!

Had an enjoyable family meal. Food quality was great. The staff made us aware of possible delays, we were having fun so it wasn’t much of an issue, I suspect the restaurant was short staffed that day.

Too Good To Go the first time.. lovely polite staff.. Comfortable, clean & well set out

Food: The food was tasty, and there was a wide variety to choose from. We got the pesto dough balls and chicken goujons to start. The dough balls were delicious and would definitely recommend. The goujons were a bit average, as they weren't very substantial and bland tasting. Our mains were two pizzas, one with salad inside which was a bicep novelty. I was disappointed as I initially asked for a calzone but to have olives instead of chilli's as I can't handle spice very well, but the waitress said she was not sure if it could be swapped or not as it may come pre-folded; this was very disappointing as not only did it indicate that the calzones aren't made fresh in store and instead were pre-packaged, but the staff did not even know that when asked. I instead got a pizza, which was tasty but not as much as I would have liked. Staff: The staff were friendly and welcoming. The restaurant only had around 3 tables used with at least 30 others spare, but when we were initially seated we were put directly by the front door for some reason, which would not have been so bad except it was cold and raining outside and would have felt the effects as a result. We therefore asked a member of staff if we could sit elsewhere because of this, but rather than facilitate that in a near-completely empty restaurant they said they had to go and check if they could, but after around a minute of waiting we just took the liberty of moving ourselves. Then having been seated, we were attended to by at least 3 different staff, which made it unclear as to who was serving us. Having said that, the staff who did serve us were very helpful and friendly. Atmosphere: As mentioned it was a relatively empty restaurant, which is not their fault, but there was nothing likely music in the background which would have made the atmosphere more inviting and comfortable.

Tried for the first and last time! Save yourself £12 and go to tesco for a better topped thin and crispy pizza. The pasta was mostly hard and inedible, it was supposed to be chicken in it but it could have been anything. Large pieces of raw onion, bland, reheated? total rip off, its been a long time since I've paid for anything so bad!

As a last minute plan venue, it’s great as it never seems to be busy. The food does take a while but it arrives hot and doesn’t make you sick so that’s a plus! I’m convinced they’re short staffed as you see the front of house running around like blue backsided flies and not standing around like a lot of restaurants. It’s fairly overpriced for what it is but hey, it’s a restaurant that sells something you can make easily at home.

Waited at the door to be acknowledged by either of the waitresses. That didn’t happen! Didn’t seem to have enough floor staff and a half empty restaurant with tables not cleared.

Used Tesco club cards for this visit. Relocated to a different table as cutlery & table were very dirty. Romana duo pizza ( garlic prawn & Parmensa) arrived with no garlic but it did have 2 grapes on it!!

Restaurant maybe 1/2 to 2/3rds occupied but only two obviously overworked staff waiting tables. We (a party of six) gave up after 20+ mins as more and more people were seated with no sign of even a drinks order. This doesn’t bode well for the future of this chain having seen the recent news about staff cut backs.

Mckayla was so patient with us, great waitress! Helped us with the menu and didn’t mind us taking ages sorting the bill even though they were nearly past closing time! Food was good as always!

After ordering, it took an hour to arrive, it wasnt close to full and it took 45 minutes to even get the pizza in the oven

We visited this place for the first and last time. The staff were more obnoxious than staff in a Karen's diner as was the manager after I pointed this out. Once our food was slid across the table at us I had to go and find a member of staff who could get some cutlery, after sometime it was thrown on the table from the back of me. I highlighted this to the manager who wasn't interested. Safe to say that we left without eating.

Food wasn't very hot it was barley warm , the service was very slow. For what we paid it wasn't worth it . Won't be going there again.

Got to the restaurant, Sat down at a table for about 10 minutes waiting for someone to ask what food/drinks and we were on a tight schedule as we were going to see a film and then we waited about an hour. Then I went to pay for the drinks and they finally gave us our food in boxes. Got told to pay full price for the food and drinks.. Absolutely disgraceful!!

Pretty good food but it was empty and they were short staffed

Wasn't many staff in but a member of staff named Ben was in on his first day and he smashed it, he was super polite, initiated playful banter with me and the Mrs, and even suggested some food for us to try (was bangin), all in all the lad needs a raise asap

The food was OK. I had the jackfruit one which was decent but I wouldn't have again. The service was alright. Nice decor. Very quiet and empty.

We visited on 14th Novemeber, the food was lovely. But Viktorija stood out the most, she was friendly, polite and was great with the kids. We then visited again at the same time on 15th November, food was great and the young lady that served us was lovely. We then came in as a couple on 22nd Novemeber and Viktorija was in again. She is a credit to you and gives amazing customer service. Thank you.

Me and my friend were served by a really polite and kind woman called Kaci. It was my first visit to Pizza Express and the member of staff, Kaci, made me feel very welcome and made my first experience enjoyable! Me and my friend were very satisfied with our visit to say the least. I absolutely loved it thanks to Kaci.

Easy to order and ready exactly on time.

Visited early evening on a Sunday. Very helpful and attentive waitress. Quite a few menu items not available but we all enjoyed our food. Children were well catered for. We’ve used Pizza Express many times and a happy and chatty server makes the visit even better.

Never been here before and will never visit again........From entering and finding a table (place was very quiet) the manageress gave me filthy looks over her face mask. Uncomfortable ! A young server was very pleasant and polite. Service was slow and we had to ask for some items to be brought over as obviously forgotton. The food was passable though I have never seen a pizza base so gossamer thin..........The main problem was watching said manageress and her treatment of her young staff. Very obviously scolding them on the restaurant floor,arms flailing as she did so. Staff being pushed to turn customers away from a near empty restaurant and walking away themselves on seeing what was going on.......I was overcharged by my nice server and felt terrible as the manageress carried on as before in my full view. When she came to rectify overcharge I told her of her shocking staff treatment and.......she just shrugged her shoulders !!! She didnt care. I did and will never go again........

My favourite pizza is a florentina and thanks to this branch of Pizza Express put me off this pizza. It was poorly presented the egg in the middle was broken, just not much spinach and lacking in taste. Your chef needs to consult pizza cook books and look what each pizza should look like and taste like. Very poor

Friendly staff lovely atmosphere

CAREFUL: the menu price advertised outside before you come in to the restaurant is way cheaper than the actual price on the menu when you walk-in! You can easily get trapped... As an example the Diavolo pizza was advertised around £12 outside but the real price was £14. Also the pizzas are ok but the crust is very thin, literally you get out of the pizzeria and you are still hungry.. too expensive for what it is really.. Hear from me if you're hungry and looking for low cost food you're better off to McDonalds 100 yards away for half the price, the taste is even better and you are full for the day!

The title says it all , it was not busy there at all , and they had ran out of cheese, pasta, and bolognaise. There was hardly no cheese on both pizzas. Above all the waitress was lying to the (walk in) people saying that “she was on her own” and had no staff, but there was 3 people working and only 4 full tables, so it wasn’t busy. They were excepting the online bookings but most walked away when they were told that there was no cheese or pasta left in a pasta and pizza restaurant. As well as this, they had messed up/forgotten some items due to not writing it down. After discussing the lack of cheese we were simply told “I’ve been awake since 9”-lie in for some may I add. Was not acceptable at all, and as someone who works in hospitality, I could never imagine treating my customers in this manner.

Top marks to Kaci - such a lovely and friendly waitress. Kaci always remembers us, makes recommendations and she just genuinely wants your experience to be the best. We think you are fab Kaci, and you deserve recognition for being so caring, considerate and always going above and beyond. Food always spot on.

Came here last night Hardly anybody in but it took at least 15 minutes to get a waitress to come over. She came, took orders and took forever to bring food. She didn’t give an excuse. Blamed it on somebody else. Manager came over asked...

Had a lovely meal that was serviced by Alex. She made our journey to pizza express a whole lot better, service with a smile on her face and left with a smile on ours. Thanks Alex.

Rubbish service, the person did not bother to make the service right. I believed this because I am not white. As other white customers where getting looked after. Pizza express needs to train the staff to treat all customers the same. Don’t attend this place...

Food was lovely, let's start there, great pizzas, pasta and dough balls... these were done beautiful so props to the chef. the part that loses a star for me would be the service, we were a party of 5, the place was empty and we were seated with one menu between all of us, the waiter advised would be back with more but 10 mins later we still only had one and hadn't even been asked for drinks. gentleman came over, said we looked like we need more menus and then him and another gent were great servers, polite just at the end of the meal we had poled our plates up and were waiting for the bill but numerous times were walked past and not asked if we were done or wanted bill. we then asked for it ourselves in the end.

Popped in pizza express this evening for a pizza , the food was beautiful! Fresh , hot and delicious. The two girls who served us were super friendly absolutely credit to the restaurant. An absolutely lovely evening with my husband. Thank you .

Had my first experience of pizza express.... Food was lovely and the atmosphere was nice. Our waitress Gabby was fantastic and very helpful with advice on the food as I could not decide what to have. She went above and beyond. I would definitely return.

Called in without a reservation on Friday evening before a cinema visit. We were seated immediately, despite the restaurant being busy. Our order was taken quickly and drinks and food arrived without any delays. What was particularly good was the service from all the staff...

Called in today without a booking. There were empty tables but the 3 front of house staff were extremely busy. We were given a table and considering how busy they were they did a fantastic job. One waitress and 2 waiters deserve more than a...

A nice place to stop and eat while out shopping or going to the cinema. Also, healthy options were available when I asked for no cheese they offered vegan cheese instead.

Food came quickly and tasted great. Families are welcome and the piccolo menu for kids is good (3 courses for £7.25). Only reason it’s not 5 stars is the polenta chips we ordered were cold but got some new ones and the were piping hot. Would go again.

One girl who welcomed us was lovely! Couldn't fault her. We tried to get the attention of the waiter when our food was put at put table but he just ignored us constantly. So I went up to ask if I could grab a sauce. The chefs were blank and confused as though theyd never seen a person before. And a lady snapped and said YES as she barged past! I must have ruined their conversation.
