Paolos Pizzeria & Gelateria in Flintshire

Really fed up with this place now! Hardly ever open. Whenever you fancy a pizza they are closed. Now that I've built up loyalty stamps on Just Eat they are just cancelling my orders completely and refusing to deliver. Given up on them now and won't order again. Keep your loyalty stamps. Really bad way to run a business.

We ordered a 9" ham and mushroom pizza and a 12" pepperoni with extra pepperoni and added, salami, mushrooms, onions and chillis. Ordered via Uber Eats to collect. Uber Eats advised it would be 25-35 mins, received notification after 15 minutes advising ready to collect. It wasn't ready when I arrived, was told politely by a young lady it would be 5 minutes (which I didn't mind, preferred waiting a little longer than it being ready and sat there sweating in the box). After waiting 5 minutes the lady apologised for the wait, but I said not a problem at all. This was restaurant quality pizza, absolutely delicious, better than Domino's by a mile! They didn't skimp on the toppings like some places, the pizza crust was crispy whilst still being doughy, and the tomato sauce was really tasty. Would highly recommend, will definitely be going back! 5 stars!

5* pizzas, we ordered via Deliveroo & it came piping hot. I’m lactose intolerant so added on the notes no cheese & so happy my pizza came without cheese (you’d be surprised how many times the notes aren’t read), so delicious, pizzas were like being back in Italy. Would 100% recommend.

First time ordering to my caravan. The food was first class and the delivery driver also first class. Not the easiest place to find but not too much trouble for the driver, a credit to the company.

Paulos is a great find. We are regular visitors to Mold and discovered Paulos in passing and called in when we discovered they sold Gelato which we prefer to normal ice cream, and will travel to get it! We weren't disappointed it was totally delicious. We sat on a bench in the sunshine to enjoy it by the nearby stunning St David's Church. We went back at a later date having telephone ordered a take away meal deal from them. That too was great - terrific rustic pizza. Service is great also: charming and helpful. I hope they do well. We will certainly be returning and would recommend highly to others. Mold is a charming market town and appears to be on the up which is encouraging - some nice new businesses opening up like this one. Bravo Paulos and Bravo Mold ! Incidentally we travelled from Erddig to Mold for our take-away which heated up nicely in the oven when we returned. All well worth the travel ..... and you can easily park opposite. They apparently do local deliveries.

In Mold for a night. The staff (young man) was very well mannered when dealing with our order etc. The food (2 x BBQ Americanos and 1 x seasoned fries) was absolutely to die for! This is the best pizza and fries we have ever had. Freshly baked pizza base and topping was so yummy. I never finish a full pizza but I made myself finish this in one evening as it was so nice. My other half seconded this opinion. We visit family a lot in Mold and we’ve already planned on how to come back and order more food. Delicious!!

Great food, great service , nice people. Easy parking options nearby and the service was quick. Food was very tasty. Probably the best takeaway in mold at the moment

Finally somewhere that knows the art of pizza making! Lovely simple Italian style pizzas, no pre bought pizza bases here. Well done guys

I've been a regular customer of Paolo's since they originally opened. Their pizzas have always been sublime, some of the best Neapolitan pizza I have ever eaten. Tonight... the pizza was okay. Better than a Domino's for sure. But the dough was a bit tough and chewy, and there was way too much cheese, it was like eating cheese on toast. Hopefully things will improve again under the new owners.

Absolutely delicious! It has Just opened back up today under new ownership and the food was amazing! We had a large order which was ready in 20 minutes. L Friendly staff. We wish you every success for the future!

Had a very tasty pizza from the new others with complimentary garlic bread. The owner apologised that the pizza was not round! Sorry, but only pizza from a supermarket is round . I had tasty, authentic pizza - keep doing what you're doing. I can highly recommend the pizza.

Wow. We all fancied pizza and a friend had said this place was good a while ago but I hadn't had the chance to visit. Ordered the 18in Margarita as the kids are funny about toppings and don't normally eat much; the polished off 2 massive slices each. Glad I got back up garlic bread and a small meat feast!.... Best pizza I have had in a while and I'm a pizza kinda guy. Great smiley service and was all cooked on time. Fantastic value 10/10 recommend.

Best pizza around...don't bother with the more well known pizza companies!

We ordered a few different flavour pizzas and all were great we got some of the italian herb fries and the herbs actually made such a difference to the flavour and went well with the pizza. We tried the calzone Nutella which was my first time having a desert pizza which was unusually tatsy. Will be ordering again.

We have ordered about 4 times over the last year and every single time the pizza has been amazing, lots of flavour, very authentic pizza. We would definitely be back for more tasty pizza. Awesome, would highly recommend!

First take away from Paolos, but won’t be the last! We ordered a large margarita, seasoned fries & garlic pizza. The large margarita was huge, such good value for money & the children loved the Italian seasoning on the fries! Simple, fresh, quality ingredients & friendly staff! Well done!

Loved our 18" pepperoni pizza with a side of mozzerella & Italian herb chips...plenty for the two of us & there was a couple of slices left over for us to snack on the next day 😋 Paolos is without a doubt my go to pizza on take away night 🍕🍕🍕

Visited about 4 times this year. Would’ve been 5 but pesky covid stopped the dough production 😂 Once you’ve tried it you won’t want your papa johns or dominoes again. The dough is original fresh. The quality of ingredients in noticeable with the cuts of meat to spiceness of chillis. The cheeses are unreal and the tomato base for some that doesn’t even like tomatoes is exceptional. It’s a salty taste rather than tangy. The best pizza I’ve had, EVER. The second best was in Prague but they don’t deliver. Just give it a go and you won’t be disappointed. Promise. I hope they get the custom and recognition they deserve. Exceptional place to have in my local area.

The best pizza I’ve ever tasted! My only regret was that I didn’t get the 18inch! I can honestly say it’s the most satisfying takeaway I’ve ever had! Very friendly staff will 10000% be returning!

Authentic Italian pizza, love the veggie one, but the lunch time pizza sandwiches are my fave. Amazing and good service and excellent prices too. And the gelato, try it! 😋

This is the best pizza 100 miles around ! Since they’ve opened, it’s the only place I come for a pizza. The ingredients are of great quality, the dough is well made, and the service is great. Thank you Paolo’s team.

Fantastic authentic Italian pizza. Beats the likes of Dominos every day of the week. Freshly cooked to perfection. A must if thinking of takeaway pizza

The best there is....simples. Quality as good as the best pizzas in the best restaurants in Italy. You can taste the quality of the ingredients which makes Paolo's a stand out takeaway compared to all the other pizzerias in the area.

Never fails! We’ve had a few pizzas now, always cooked fresh when ordered, ingredients taste amazing, reasonably priced, great service there’s nothing not to love! I’d recommend the square slices if you’re on they go! They taste amazing !!!!

If you haven't tried Paolo pizza's yet, then your missing out. They make the nicest pizza's i have ever had. Never been a fan of pizza but after tasting Paolo pizza I'm now a big fan. BTW, try the ice cream. Yummy. The staff are lovely and always helpful and pleasant

O...M...G...... had our first try of Paolos tonight, and we were ALL( which never happens) blown away. Every single thing was amazing. We used to go to an authentic Italian restaurant in Chester years ago.....and this 'take away' was on par with it! It was that good I had to ring the owner and tell her !!! Absoloutly gorgeous. Could not fault a thing...even the seasoned fries were amazing! No more kebab house for us.....see you soon!!! AA*****

The service is excellent, the ordering is easy whether just eat or via Facebook where you can message directly to the owners. I usually order the 18 inch ham and mushroom pizza with Italian herb chips. I love the real flavours and traditional pizza bases. If you want a taste of excellence then you must order here.

As soon as I opened the front door to the delivery guy the smell that hit me took me back to a holiday back packing around Italy! Delicious pizzas, just like they make in Italy (warning - high chance of food coma). The Italian spiced chips are also a winner! Thanks very much Paolos!

This is by far the nicest pizza I've ever had, and that includes ones in Sorrento! I normally leave pizza crust but it's just so soft and full of flavour that you can't leave any! Highly recommend.

Wow! Working away with business I went to the streets of Mold, looking for a 'quick takeaway'.. Two years ago, whilst walking through Sorrento, I stumbled upon a back street Pizzeria, The person behind the counter didnt speak any English. After i struggled to tell him which slice of Pizza i wanted, I walked to the cliffs and found a seat overlooking the City of Naples and Mount Vesuvius.. Eating it, I never thought id have a better experience of eating Real Italian Pizza.. It was garbage compared to Paolo's.. How a little Pizzeria in Mold can make better Pizza than the Nation of Italy is beyond me, This Pizzeria is genuinely ten times better than the pizzeria i found in Sorrento.. I waited less than 8 minutes from the Walking in to walking out with a pizza.. Thats 5 minutes less than it takes to get service from my local Nando's -You hear me Nandos?? The base was soft and fresh with a light crisp to the edge, the toppings full of flavour and tender, the sauce was incredible, even the touch of basil was welcomed along side that fantastic cheese. Its insane to think, that I cannot believe I now have to holiday in Mold just to experience the true taste of Italy. But its true.. I urge everyone to Try this Pizza! Ask for a Meaty one as i did, so that they can open up another branch where I live.. Its still worth the Diesel- even if you dont live in the area! Next time im going for the 18 inch, Which looks to be near the same size as the London Eye.. I wouldnt even share it with the missus.. 6 Out of 5 Stars for bringing Italy a little closer to me..
