We had a great time there! The food is very delicious! Our daughter has an amazing desert ice cream. She is so happy and asking to go to Pizza Express again and again!

I've got a dirty fork, and she pretended to open my can with her "clean" "gloved" finger, but even though it's gloved she does everything with it,I hope apart from going to the toilet.Very upsetting, I'm disappointed.

The overall experience was amazing!!! Clean and tidy we booked a family pizza party the host Jack and Shane were really good had a lot of patience with the children. Joined in with the jokes very attentive to the children accommodated the youngest child with a stall and personal preferences . Made her a pizza as well as giving her one to create to feel involved. They offered beverages and food to the adults we did have to pay. But got a free pizza. The price for the party was good £12.79 per person. Would highly recommend this branch.

Absolutely brilliant experience we had a family pizza party with the kids and jack and Shane were amazing couldn’t ask for better hosts will definitely be back soon highly recommend this branch.

The pizza I ordered was so thin it was ridiculous other than that it was okish....probably won't go again though, service was ok but £38 for lunch ? A very thin pizza and a microwaved lasagna that was so overdone the sauce was still boiling on the plate...

My good friend Yana and I visited Pizza Express Croydon after terrible service in the Bromley (Wigmore road) Pizza Express restaurant. From the moment we stepped in the door, we were greeted with warmth and a friendly service from the general manager Yolanda. Her love for giving exceptional customer experience shined as she hand-made Yana’s pizza who wanted to choose her own toppings and it was so fresh, yummy and amazing to see amazing personalised customer service and Yolanda being so dynamic and versatile – to see a general manager know from experience how to do all roles within the restaurant. From our negative experience at Pizza Express Bromley (Wigmore Road) we were offered as a gesture of good will on the company to dine with them for free at a restaurant of our choice and it was the easiest decision to choose to come back to Pizza Express Croydon. Once again, we find ourselves back at Pizza Express Croydon where we spend many hours being treated by the friendly, helpful and knowledgeable team at this restaurant (Two friendly female waitresses and one male waiter with dark hair). But what truly set this Pizza Express apart was Yolanda going above and beyond to ensure that our dining experience was perfect. Her attentive demeanour, extensive knowledge of the menu and treating us like VIPS she truly is an asset to Pizza Express and she really is passionate and cares about the customer experience and sets the standard for excellent customer service, leading by example and making the whole experience fun for her guests. We will be back for more delicious, fresh pizza very soon, thank you to Yolanda and her team at Pizza Express Croydon.

Very not satisfied from the service and the quality of the food. Only the place is fine. And the waiters are serving listless

I came to the restaurant with a few friends yesterday night just over an hour before they closed and was served by the black boy, he was so lovely. Helped us cut our pizzas and made sure we was okay and happy with the food.

Went in on Thursday 29th February at 7.30pm with my 11 year old daughter ( I am a 37 year old woman). I asked for a kids menu for my daughter from the waitress and she ran off and the old foreign manageress ( she claimed to be general manager she wouldn’t give me her name) came running over shouting that we can’t have the kids menu for my 11 year old because you have to be under 8. She spoke to me like I was a child I explained I have ordered my child a kids meal many times before so don’t see what the issue is and that it doesn’t say on the menu I have had previously about being under 8 ( she point blank refused to give me the kids menu so I could see whether the company had made any recent changes) the other customers were all staring at what was going on and the whole thing made me and my daughter feel very uncomfortable . She clearly didn’t want us in the restaurant so we left. I am gold rewards member and eat in pizza express regularly and know for a fact my 11 year old can have the kids menu. On a Thursday I get a free kids meal with an adults meal as part of my gold member rewards. This woman clearly doesn’t want people to use there loyalty rewards so quite frankly it’s false advertisement. After leaving i rang a number of other pizza express’ who all informed me that my daughter can order from the kids menu and this woman is rude and lying and to report her to head office. I have since spoke to someone at head office who have confirmed anyone can order off the kids menu and this woman was lying to me when she said under 8s only. They said anyone can order from the kids menu even adults ( elderly, gastric patients, cancer patients lots of people have little appetites aswell as the kids) I don’t know what her problem was but I have reported her to head office. someone like her doesn’t deserve her job and has most likely forced other parents to buy their children adult meals that they not got a chance on finishing when the kids meal Would have been fine thus she is robbing customers and also putting the companies name in dispute when you can’t use your club rewards. I think the woman is just very jealous and bitter to females who are clearly much more attractive then her and was taking her bitterness out on us. Whilst this woman is still working there avoid the place don’t bother going inside.

They Refused to let my 11 year old daughter order from the kids menu as she is not under 8 (despite it not saying anywhere you have to be under 8 and never having a problem before) the General manager don’t know her name she’s old and foreign she’s very rude and doesn’t deserve to work here. I called 6 different pizza express and they said my daughter CAN order off the kids menu and the woman was just rude and said to complain about her to head office. They all said my daughter could order from the kids menu in their pizza express’ no problem and that the foreign manager at the Croydon branch clearly has issues. She needs removing from her position immediately and as a gold reward member I was very put off by this incident. I won’t be recommending pizza express whilst you have nightmares like this woman working in your restaurants. Absolutely disgusting behaviour by her. I personally think she was jealous of me and my daughter cos we are slim and beautiful and she looks like she had a run in with a bus the absolute state of her. When I rang the restaurant to inform Her I had spoken to other pizza express about her behaviour and that they all said my daughter CAN order from the kids menu and that I was advised to report her to head office she told me head office already know all about her and how rude she is lol. So head office here I am letting You know like lots of other people have before me that this woman is nasty and it’s time to get rid of her. I have sent head office an official complaint over email. Thai woman is a bully and is actively trying To get children obese by forcing them to eat adult portions when all this want is a childrens portion.

The place is fancy and the service is top tier. Our server Mari Sol was an amazing lady and she really cared for me and my friends. Will definitely come back here next time.🩷❤️

We had such a lovely meal, and our server, Sol, was an absolute star, very attentive and friendly and made us feel very welcomed. Couldn’t have asked for a better server. Would 100% come here again!

Great pizza like the stretched one, easy parking

I had a Boxing Day evening meal served by Jack. Gave me great advice on a different pizza to try I even tried the chicken wings didn't expect them to be any good but I was wrong. All round great service, great food and a lovely waiter.

My waiter Cat was great and super friendly and attentive. I come here often and have a good experience every time :)

Excellent service the minute I walked through the restaurant, I was waitered by a young gentleman called Dejaun who made me feel very welcome at the restaurant, the food was also delicious and I would recommend this branch to all my friends

The food and service here was superb. We had quite a lot and one dip was hardly filled at all but our server sorted it really quickly. However there were a bunch of delivery drivers hanging out smoking in the doorway which was massively off-putting and nearly made us go elsewhere. Having said that it's been one of the nicer Pizza Express restaurants that we've been to so would highly recommend it!

I went in today at around 1:45pm for a pizza and the waitors were very lovely to talk to! I might have ended up purchasing some doughballs too haha

Staff Is unbelievably slow and inattentive. Stood next to the entrance for a couple min before being seen (was not busy) waited for pizza about 30 min (still not busy). Took another 4 min to walk the distance of the restaurant with our food. No smiles, no warm greetings. Food was decent though.

There’s nothing wrong with the Pizza Express on George Street in Croydon - as long as you stick to Pizza. I guess the clue’s in the name so perhaps I should have avoided the Chicken Milanese - which was a huge disappointment. The chicken itself was extremely over-processed and quite tasteless. The side salad was a few strips of rocket. No chips or pasta either to bulk up what was really a starter although billed as a main. Service is quite decent though - so I shall return but it’s Pizza every time now.

So disappointed with my pasta meal. I have eaten this 3times in a row at the Victoria pizza express as I love it so much. Recommended it to my friend at the George st Croydon and it was not the same. Absolutely disgusting left most of it on my plate . My friend just ordered stem ginger cake and can’t eat disgusting as well. If you like pizza express avoid George st as it may put off eating at the restaurant chain for life .

Great evening...Jack who looked after us was excellent and gave us great service, with a smile. Definitely will come back. Helped with the app, which was useful.

The staff was very helpful. I was looking for vegetarian options and was suggested 'padana' by the guy. Made it spicy for me with some chill flakes. Very happy with the service. It's was my first visit and the pizza was not to my liking though. I thought the pizza would be sliced and be full of cheese like the Dominos ones but it's thin and some ingredients tasted sweet. I would blame my lack of knowledge on Pizza on this. Will come back for better options. Thanks for a great service.

I was disgusted that I travelled for at least an hour, to be told just after 1pm, that they would not be able to seat us until after 3pm. We're they really expecting us to wait for 2 hours to eat. This to me was unacceptable 😑😒😒😒

This place has one of friendliest waitstaff. whenever i dine here, it feels like i'm dining at a friend's house! The food here is also incredible, one of the best restaurants in east croydon for a family meal.

Arrived at the restaurant on a busy Wednesday with no booking and the gent at the door (Shane?) did everything to accommodate us. Service was great & attentive. Despite being very busy we didn't feel rushed to leave at any point. I've been to lots of Pizza Expresses but felt compelled to write these guys a review just for the FOH service. Food was great, drinks were ice cold!

Charming staff, great pizzas, attractive decor, clean loo - what more could we ask for. We were very impressed with this restaurant and look forward to visiting again!

They missed out 3 pizzas from my order via UberEats and Uber is not adjusting my order to refund me. The issue begins with the restaurant. The food arrived as it was cold, substandard and under delivered. This cost me £39.38. Disgraceful

I ordered pollo pesto through uber delivery and only to find out that the pasta was underbaked/undercooked and the chicken pieces were a bit raw too. Called the store and the manager wasn’t helpful at all.Said that I should contact the Uber customer services as its been delivered by them. But my question is the restaurant cooks the food and not the Uber or their drivers. So shouldn’t I get compensated by the store manager too? Worst customer service! Never ordering from this restaurant again!

Would give a zero if possible. Garlic bread was old and stake as if sat out all day and the pizza was barely cooked.

Everytime we come here the staff are so accommodating and we feel so welcome. We’ve been to many other pizza express restaurants all over London and this is the best by far.

Jack was incredible! Just went in for a casual booking only ordered a few starters and a few drinks ended up staying for a few hours because the service and atmosphere created by Jack was wonderful! Credit to all the kitchen and other staff. Food and drinks were lovely and venue comfortable and clean! Thank you!

Such a great evening with friends in Croydon. All the staff were welcoming, friendly and attentive. My friend ordered a leggera and got a classic, but the woman who'd taken our ordered remembered us and brought a salad on the house. I do like the dolcetta options, allowing a small taste of indulgence after a pizza, when a full dessert would be too much! A big thank you to the chefs as our pizzas were perfectly cooked. We always have such a relaxing evening here.

Exceptional service today from the team, we came in with our three young children and they could not have been more accommodating and welcoming. Blown away.

The staff appeared to be new and not fully trained. So service was a little haphazard. We didn’t mind this too much as everyone needs time to learn. What we did mind were instructions being yelled across the restaurant by the waitress to the waiter in training. And the emphasis and attention was definitely on the takeaway trade. Delivery drivers were attended to whereas the actual customers in the restaurant were served in between attending to the delivery drivers. Poor customer service. Leaving the restaurant was made difficult by a delivery bike halfway across the door.

Nice Good service, pleasant food, Malbec wine, nice Peroni beer. Very child friendly, which is a breath of fresh air compared to many restaurants. Quality ingredients, good selection of beverages, quite fast with food being cooked and served, which we liked. Toilets clean though a bit smelly - could do with more disinfectant or something to clean away the stale smells. Recommended. Yes!

Went here last week with my sister. We had such a lovely time, the pizzas were banging and the garlic oil with it yum! We were served by Cat (shown on receipt) he was so nice and made sure we had fun, will defo visit again.

A great place to pop in for a meal with a friend. It was fast, efficient and the new refurb and more soft furnishings mean that the thing I used to not enjoy about Pizza Express has gone away - it was always noise and the drop of a knife would be a clattering conversation stopper. Not any more. Now it's much more cosy, and it's quiet enough to have a good conversation, hear each other, yet feel the privacy of not sitting on top of each other. The pizzas were good, and arrived within minutes of us ordering. Tasty and fresh, and with so many options it's easy to recommend this for a night out with friends. Probably not so much for a full on romantic meal.

Our family visited this restaurant tonight to celebrate my youngest daughters 10th Birthday with 4 of her friends. The manager was absolutely brilliant with my daughter and her friends who were very hyped up from just having come from flipout. She even danced with them! They all wanted to hug her when they left. The food was by far the best I've ever had in a pizza express, extremely fresh and the service was very efficient and attentive. It was without a doubt the best managed pizza express I've ever eaten in before. Everything was perfect, I was genuinely so impressed.

Had a great lunch with a work mate yesterday. Both of us had exactly the same; Squid for starters, Pollo ad Astra pizza for mains...excellent ! Friendly staff and efficient service.

Always enjoy coming here. Find delicious , hot and fresh and service is friendly . The team here always go above and beyond to make us feel settled and welcome. I always come with friends and my children (3 and 1) keeping them entertained is always tricky but staff always chat to them and keep them happy. Always a bonus to feel comfortable and welcomed whe little ones are about xxxx

Amazing food, good service. The manager is amazing, she is soo attentive and always greets us warmly and makes us feel welcome from start to finish.

Everytime I come here I get great service. Everyone is friendly, happy and it has the most energetic atmosphere. The team look like they enjoy working here which is great, not every pizza express ( or other restaurants) offers this atmosphere. We had many starters and no mains, the starters were fresh, full of flavour as usual. Overall a happy customer and money well spent.

Thoroughly enjoyed my first experience at pizza express. For starters I had the chimichuri doughballs which were amazing!!! And for main I got the burnt ends pizza. The flavors were phenomenal. My only criticism would be that the undercarriage was way to floppy. When I ordered thin base I was expecting a crispy undercarriage so next time I’ll mention it before I order to see if they can avoid it in future. Will definitely be back to sample the rest of the menu.

There was a group of 12 of us, we were very well looked after by our waiter all afternoon. The food was lovely. The only problem was that it was cold in the restaurant, we had to ask for some heat to be put on, it did eventually warm up a bit !!

Visited last Sunday with my sister and two nephews. The guy that greeted us and served us was so accommodating and polite. Was really pleased with the custom service. Food was good also. We went around 5pm and it was quite quiet.

I normally go to this restaurant with a friend who has a disability and needs a wheel chair, the staff is always very welcoming and kind. The food is nice and you never have to wait too long. We always enjoy our dinners here.

I went to the restaurant last week for my sons birthday meal and the food was wonderful. He loves pizza express and was desperate to bring the family here for his birthday and the food didn’t disappoint, we ordered a mixture of pasta and pizza dishes, each to high standard and if it was just for this I would be back in a heartbeat, However, our waitress was an older Hispanic waitress who seemed experienced as she had a good knowledge of the menu when we ordered, but her attitude was disgusting. Of course as the customer you want to be treated well however she appeared to be treating us well while being rude to other workers around the restaurant. I understand she may have been stressed but she looked like she was being incredibly passive aggressive and therefore her good manners came across forced and fake. I hope she can understand that you can be a more senior member of the team while showing your younger servers how to treat people well and not pretend in front of customers because we see right through it. Moreover I know this is an unprofessional remark to make but she was also rather odorous and I believe this should be rectified before she works front of house again.

Was very excited to try the pizza here as there were some renovations when I first moved to the area and the restaurant was closed. Finally ordered through Uber Eats tonight. Margherita Pizza: 3/5 The taste was actually very good, I would give it 5/5. However, the size is so small that I cant give it more than 3/5 because of the value for money. It is £10.95 and not enough for one adult in my opinion. The taste was so good though, it is a shame they don’t have bigger sizes. Mushroom and truffle pizza: 1/5 It is my first time ever eating truffles, so I don’t know what is the quality of the truffles and I am in no place to judge that. However, I can judge the taste, which I really didn’t like. I don’t remember when was the last time I didn’t like something to the point I can’t even finish eating it as this is extremely rare. I feel like I shouldn’t rate something I don’t have a reference to, but I was very excited to try truffle for the first time and I didn’t like it at all. Overall, I may order again just for the sake of the Margherita. I still wish they had larger sizes though, that will make me reorder for sure.

Very cold evening! Not busy, very clean and cozy place. One of the gentleman with glasses staff served us, he was very friendly helpful. We tried new pizza mushroom and linguine. Both was great 👍 we enjoyed lovely dinner time!! Thanks

One of my favourite place for Italian! Their Calabrese and Pollo Forza pizzas are one of the most tastiest ones if you like a bit of kick. It’s not very spicy but quite delicious! The Calabrese is a square shaped pizza, comes topped with rocket. All in all it was a good experience! We walked in without booking and had no trouble getting a table. For a Wednesday eve it was quite busy. Took them a while to bring out the starters.

Very friendly welcome. The portion sizes were good, the food was tasty and arrived quickly. The only down side was the internet connection was not very good there so it took a while to get the bill paid on the app.

If your a person of colour please don't visit the branch of pizza express.. Weather ur eating in take away..or simply stop to look at the menu....one of the male staff was realy rude to me for no reason, accusing me of being Aggressive...

Early evening dinner out with daughter and family - apart from the egg on my Florentina being a tad undercooked (for my liking!) the food was very good and everyone cleared their plates - not very busy, so place seemed rather empty - service was very good and all in all a very pleasant experience to meet family to chat, laugh and catch up!

It has some delicious options including for vegetarians like myself and vegans. Prices are vare reasonable The service from staff was excellent..very attentive polite and friendly. My sister and I always find it a joy eating here

I Will not be ordering from pizza express again this is how I received my pizza also it was the wrong order as I did not pay for a thin crust it was burnt also I had to throw it away.

Placed a large click and collect order for our student group that came through shortly after the restaurant opened and the team worked incredibly quickly everything prepped, cooked and boxed up. We ordered meat, vegetarian, vegan and gluten free options and they were diligent in avoiding cross-contamination so we could cater to our diverse student group. They were extremely friendly and accommodating and we cannot thank them enough for their service. Thank you Pizza Express George Street!

Eaten here this evening the food was good but what made it was the brilliant customer service. Two young men served us at the table they were both very polite and attentive nothing was too much trouble. Well done.

I am a regular customer to this particular Pizza Express I won't go to no other, the staff are really friendly and helpful particularly the Manager Yolanda and Maria Sol.. I cannot praise them enough since my eldest son was born he is now 5 , I have been coming here. They really treat you nice particularly the little touches like remembering where we like to sit, to what my kids order!, to being so helpful going above and beyond. Anytime I ask my kids when we are out what they would like for lunch immediately they say Pizza Express. I really would recommend this restaurant you will not find better service anywhere else I promise you.

Pizza express is not bad, but it's overpriced for what it is.
