Pizza Express in Hillingdon

Always the warmest welcome and best service at the Ruilsip branch, the staff have worked here for ages and know my kids and their orders by heart, the new refurb makes it even better!

This Pizza Express never fails to please. They have friendly staff and the place has a nice buzz about it. Ok it is a standard PE menu but the food is excellent, tastes good and was hot. Not cheap but I guess prices have risen everywhere.

WoW experience All enjoyed - had the opportunity to take students to learn how to make pizza - staff were absolutely fantastic. Really helpful, kind and listened to all our needs of a large group. All pizzas were given at the same time and we enjoyed our time here. Mo, Jimmy, Chef Armindo were great hosts. Thank you thank you thank you.

Been the past 2 nights, first night I noticed the manger was very pretty, good service, food was good. Went again tonight and she is still gorgeous

Regulars here we use the reward app we enjoy it friendly atmosphere & staff…… food is always fresh…. Great range of food & very tasty!!

We went for a pizza so I didn’t have to cook in the heat. Booked a table ahead of time was welcomed quickly offered a choose of tables service was good as always food was hot and tasty as always.

The pizza they made was inedible. We got the romana, and it was sooooo thin that it felt like you’re biting into a thin piece of hard plastic. When we asked for it to be replaced, the manager refused and we had to pay for the replacement pizza. We’ve had the Romana base several times over the years and it’s NEVER been cooked this way! The dough balls were over baked and burnt. And to top it off, we got accused of not paying for the pizza we DID NOT eat as we left!

I go to this place many times,actually not often but have been here loads occasionally.The pizzas always taste nice and service is efficient

After arriving at 7pm it took 20 mins to get our order taken due to the poor waiter Jemi who was fantastic was rushing around because he was alone with 14 tables all full while the manager just stood at the counter making garlic butter. So after having my starter which I won’t get into my mains come without any of my side orders, these actually came after I had already had my mains gotten the dessert menu and chose my dessert, hats off to the waiter not once did he stop smiling a real credit to them without him I wouldn’t haven’t paid at all, will NOT be returning

How can you operate a "Restaurant" when you turn down locals wanting a quick takeaway pizza? The Ruislip branch will tell you to wait 40 minutes for a pizza. They do not care. To be completely honest, the food is not even value for money. Last pizza (Pollo Astra) was dreadful. If you like delivery drivers clogging up the place (Not their fault), then this is the "Restaurant" for you.

Great service and covid friendly, especially the app which you can use to order and pay. Food arrives quick, staff very attentive.

Very well organised Covid wise. You scan using the app before you go in. Very strict about wearing masks while moving about the restaurant and using the toilets. Hand sanitiser as soon as you enter. Food was excellent as usual. King prawn starter and Pollo Pesto for main. Both delicious. Lovely,friendly staff 😀

Food was great, waiter was especially great. (I think his name was leni/lemi/remi). He was really helpful and friendly.

We were staying in the Premier Inn and thought we would try a restaurant in the town. First problem, due to the Government pricing incentive everywhere was booked! After asking at a few places we decided to give this restaurant a try before going back to the hotel. Luckily they had a table for 2. We had the Pollo Pesto and the Bolognese followed by the Tiramisu. Very tasty, very good waiter and with the discount remarkably good value for money. Would recommend even without the discount.

So glad Pisa Express Ruislip has reopened, we have been going to this particular restaurant for many years with various family members, the staff have always been friendly, helpful and totally professional, we were so glad that many of the staff were the same as before the lockdown our six year old granddaughter was so happy when she arrived to be back. The food was as usual very good and a pleasant lunch was had by all. Thank you Pizza Express, Ruislip.

Nice restaurant with friendly staff, good menu, easy parking. However this restaurant (at least the back part) has really bad acoustics so it is not good to go to if you want to talk to, and even more importably hear, the person you are with.

Excellent menu choice, friendly staff and great food. We came here for lunch and couldn’t believe how busy it was and were glad that we had booked 😀

Bad service and expensive and no happy birthday we did not like our time here AND they would not accept ou gourmet card and according to the website they should. We will not be going here again

6 of us ate here tonight and all of us enjoyed our meals. Pizza Express have new menus and the choices are now vast. Prices do appear to have increased but the quality of the food more than makes up for it. You do get what you pay for. All staff were friendly and efficient

After a really bad experience at Pizza Express in London we spontaniously booked the Ruislip Restaurant at quite late notice on Sunday for 6 people, the person I spoke to was very polite and said they could accomodate us.On arrival we were shown our table, a high chair was provided for our Granddaughter, and all the staff we encountered were so helpful, polite and sociable, it was a complete contrast to the experience we had in London. Consequently, never tar every restaurant chain with the same brush! Ruislip has restored my faith in Pizza Express.

The lunchtime set menu is really good value for money. The pizzas we had, as well as starters and puddings were all delicious. Excellent service😀

I was most shocked with the manager Mohammed who refused to honour a recent online competition i won where Pizza express were giving away prizes like free gin and tonic. Despite the written terms and conditions whereby it is made clear that no purchase is necessary and if you don’t drink alcohol then you can opt for either a soft drink or a bottle of water. Both the manager and waitress refused to acknowledge there own terms and conditions and argued with me to the point where I gave up. Why do they run competitions to attract new business if they have illiterate staff who can’t read terms and conditions. I was told that I can only use this prize on its own so when i paid my bill I asked to have my drink as a stand alone but was denied again by these cowboys and told me that he does have a license to serve drinks without food. This was another excuse as Mohammed was trying to protect his ego by behaving in such an abhorrent way with a customer that is loyal to the pizza express brands what a bunch of cowboy!!!

A tasty, delicious lunch with my sister. The restaurant was empty which was quite worrying, but at least we could sit anywhere The staff, a friendly, helpful and extremely kind young lady, I think she was called Marta was excellent. The pizza was delicious and the wine nice and cold. A much better service than I received at Pizza Express Chiswick. Well done Ruislip !

Hi, had dinner here today 15/4, catching up with friends.Arrived at 6.30pm, not busy, got seated, the waitress was friendly, I ordered a drink whilst waiting for my friends to arrive.So we all had a starter each, a main, and two of us had desserts with tea. We used a 25% off voucher , which bought our total bill to £60.I had the dough balls which were nice and soft and hot, , my friends ordered the bruschetta which looked nice, for mains two of us had the pollo pasta dish, and the other friend had a veg pizza. My mains, was a bit of a let down, it was Luke warm, some of the pasta was hard,And the sauce had dried up like the dish had been sitting under the hot plate for a while, And there wasn't enough chicken in my pasta meal, but there was lots of red onions which I didn't enjoy, I had to fish around to find any chicken , bit of a let down.The dessert was ok, it was the miniature orange polenta cake, with tea as extra option for £1.50ish, the cake was nice.We had a nice evening, the staff were nice, and the ambience too. Although my main was a bit over done, it didn't spoil a good evening.

We went to Pizza Express in Ruislip for Mother's day. It was surprisingly Good, much better than other Pizza Express restaurants nearby. It was spacious and well maintained. The staff were friendly and attentive. The food was good quality and reasonably priced. Mother's and grandmothers received a free drink although this couldn't be combined with another offer.

Going to Pizza Express Ruislip is like walking into my family home . All the staff ( especially the chefs ) are all welcoming and nothing is too much trouble.

I’m a regular diner at Pizza Express and took my son to your branch at High Street Ruislip at 7,30 pm this Tuesday 22 January 19.

Went for Grandson's 4th birthday, early evening on a Thursday. Restaurant was not busy as it was still very early. Food good and reasonably priced.

Came here with my son & granddaughter to celebrate a birthday, only one waiter but he worked very hard to ensure no one waited very long so have to say his hard work made the service excellent. Meals as always were to a high standard. This is a nice place to visit as a family and the welcome is always inviting & friendly too. Highly recommend this place. Drinks are pricey but choices are yours to make.

Pizza Express is and thankfully is now recognised simply as a chain producing so called Italian food. The pizzas do not taste fresh and the ingredients seem to be of low quality. The service is ok, but no special attention paid to customers,

Nico, salima, fernando and ratnam were amazing staff who served out our every need, they were brilliant, great food and great staff very kid friendly and would definitely recommend

Dreadful experience. Staff were cold not welcoming. When we arrived at just after 6pm on a Sunday restaurant was quiet, staff plentiful, but me having to push a wheelchair user through two sets of doors with the staff knowing we were there and no offer of help, not really that nice. Waiting staff at table just doingwhat they are paid to do and certainly not doing anything more. Meal went as any pizza express meal would go I suppose, but then again on leaving there was the manager and two staff all joking and taloking in the middle of the restaurant whilst I was struggling to get the wheelchair user out of the restaurant. It took new customers just about to enter the restaurant to help us, they were bemused at this as well. After leaving, I went back in, and we had left what I thought was a good tip for the food service, and took it back in disgust at the level of service. Perhaps they should all take a visit to PREZZO or ZAZA in the same street and check their customer service standard which I rate as excellent service and they staff went that extra mile to accommodate us and see us.

Visited on a recent trip to London. Great for a family meal,the food was really good and the service was fast and efficient.

We were seated where we wanted and they turned the air con on for us, nothing was too much trouble.

Most Pizza Express places are great as the concept is very good. But it mostly depends on the local layout of the restaurant and above all, the staff and chefs.

Good experience for a business lunch mid-week. Friendly service too. The light plates are tasty too.

I had the pizza with salad in the middle for the first time tonight and it was delicious! Really light and very tasty. Good,friendly service and a good price too. Only negative was the noisy kids party going on at the back of the restaurant. The kids were screaming but they left after about 45 minutes thank goodness

Went to collect a takeaway order. Staff said promotion was only for eat in. I said I'd eat in and then the hassle started. "Need to get the manager" very bad attitude from staff. Will never go back.

Haven't been here for a while and wish I hadn't left it so long. Service was prompt, courteous and friendly. Food was delicious and I would highly recommend the mini dessert with coffee..salted caramel profiteroles. Heaven in a dish. Look forward to going back

We had a voucher for Pizza Express but I never go because I am gluten free but the gluten free pizza they made me was fab and enormous. I am relieved that I can go to an ordinary pizza restuarant and have a great meal.

It's a Pizza Express, so the quality of food is good and very consistent with other branches, you know what you're getting here. The service in this restaurant sets them apart. They're brilliant and always make us feel very welcome.

Pizza Express has become extremely expensive. Visited on Saturday with 3 adults and one child. Ordered 2 starters 3 pizzas and a child menu with 3 drinks totalling £98.00. Very very overpriced for a pizza place

Cannot recommend this place enough! Visited recently with friends and we thoroughly enjoyed the most delicious cannelloni, pizza and starters. The waitress kindly offered to check if the chef would prepare one of my favourite starters which had recently been taken off the menu. Thank you for going the extra mile and ensuring all of your customers leave feeling satisfied... a testament to the fantastic management you're led by. Your dedication is second to none, and we will definitely be visiting again soon!

Took my grandson who is 4 for lunch the other day who was treated like a little prince. There were a number of children in the resturant as it is Easter holidays and the staff seemed happy for the extra noise level. The kids menu is tasty varied and good value and my pizza was delicious.

It was a packed, very loud restaurant where the staff were constantly moving. However, they need more people. We had to wait 40+mins for the bill, and it put us off ordering dessert.

Enjoyed a lovely meal here with friends. We were sat at the back of the restaurant as there is more space. However, it is definitely noisier and more difficult to have a conversation. I imagine it was my party making the noise though. The service is good and they are happy to adapt food to your own taste.

Have had a couple of pizzas in this restaurant over the last few years. Always acceptable or good but not outstanding.

Came for dinner on a Tuesday evening, and it was a lovely night. Some of us had starters and they were mainly doughballs! We all got different pizza's for mains, and the calzones looked amazing. All were cooked to perfection and tasted amazing. Seeing as everything was so nice of course we had to sample the desserts, we opted for the chocolate fondant which was fab ( I made the mistake of sharing ). My only flaw is that drinks were a bit pricey, but cant complain about that really.

Nice place, good food but........ I won't go back because if you want a conversation it is impossible. I don't know why but the sounds seem to be amplified all around you and you just can't hear each other.

This pizza express is just around the corner from us and it's always good. We came last night (group of three ladies) and we had plenty of gossip to catch up on and weren't at any time rushed or pressured to order! The wine was cold, our food came quickly, and the cheesecake was very good - we really should have ordered more than one between three!

This has always been a good Pizza Express, with excellent staff who work hard. It's a reliable option for a last-minute lunch or dinner.

Just visited Pizza Express Ruislip with my family for a birthday meal. The staff were extremely helpful and polite and the food came on time and was v good . The waitress also took the initiative and brought two birthday desserts for my twin sons which started off a spontaneous chorus of 'Happy Birthday!' to our delight . Well done and thank you for helping to make our visit such a pleasant one !

Needless to say we won't be rushing back. They don't seem to have enough wait staff. Even on a busy day like Fathers day.

You would think there would be a formula with a chain restaurant. Sadly not in the Pizza Express in Ruislip. I popped in a short while ago and found the food undercooked the service very poor my guests had a similar experience. Not worth returning in my experience.

My wife and I usually visit this branch of Pizza Express about once a month as it's our closest. The thing that has always struck me about this place is that the staff are always very friendly and happy. The food is good value (especially if you use a voucher as we always do) and now they do a plate of dough balls with dip to share it's even better! All in all a more friendly and better branch than those found in central London.

Me and my girlfriend go here roughly once a month, as it's very local to my house.the food is good, the service is ok could be a little faster and more helpful but overall it is a nice restaurant to go to for pizza.We've been a couple of times before where it's not been too good but as it's the better pizza restaurant down the high Street we keep going back

Pizza Express is a chain, so don't expect the menu here to be any different to any other location, that said Ive been to plenty of Pizza Express and often found the staff to be very unconcerned. That's not the case in Ruislip - many of the staff have been here for years, they recognise you and act like its a family restaurant. Food is well prepared and where they have the ability to customise, they are only so happy to do so.

I like pizza express as I feel like I know what I'm getting. There are no hidden surprises! Today was no exception. I visited today with my friend and new born for a quick lunch. It was quiet and we could chose our table. I ordered the Bosco salad which came quickly and was filled well with ingredients (I say this as on occasion you can be left feeling a little short changed with the salads!)The waitress was friendly and efficient. All in all, a peaceful lunch which was just what I needed :)

This chain has been taken over ....what a shame. This previously always great place to eat is now the home of the mediocre. The Romana pizzas were crispy and full of topping and flavour ...now soggy and topping stretched to fit, mozzarella salad more tomato salad with a squidge of cheese, pizza tomato base tasteless, low alcohol wines gone AND where has the New York Cheesecake gone? (When we last asked we were told they had some but are not allowed to serve it). This place has gone for profit over food.

What you get at Pizza Express is what you expect. It is made worthwhile based on the service which was great. My sons discovered two new beers to us. One was the stronger Peroni.The voucher makes this a good value meal.

I visited about ten days ago one Wednesday night with my husband and children. We were surprised at how busy it was for 6:00 on a Wednesday but we were seated right away. Our waiter took our drinks order quickly and acknowledged that we had two kids so bought stickers and pencils for them along with their drinks and starters within a few minutes of seating. The food was good, drinks nice and cold and the kids were happy. We even got more stickers when drinks were spilt over the originals (total life ending moment for a three year old!!) What more can you ask for?! Thank you :)

Went there with my girlfriend in a very quiet day, actually the restaurant was empty, both had different food and both spent the next day in the toilet so I reckon that was crossing contamination... Just ask to be very careful even when there is no customer plus they are not there for some reason so please be more careful...

My favourite UK pizza has to be the Calabrese from Pizza Express hence my numerous visits. The Ruislip branch is large, airy and modern in direct contrast to the Pinner Branch. We were greeted immediately and given a choice of tables. Our drinks order arrived quickly but my 13 year old was unimpressed with being offered crayons to draw with (we though it was hilarious). The food arrived quickly and was exactly as ordered. The Calabrese was excellent, with plenty of chilli and covered in fresh rocket. Service was efficient and friendly. Definitely recommend a visit.

We regularly eat at Pizza Express Ruislip. The staff are always friendly and the food good. Prices are reasonalble and they always have offers which are well worth taking advantage of.

Had a lovely family evening here with a lovely waiter who was so friendly & helpful (wish I had noticed his name as he deserves a mention!). Needed 3 gluten free meals and he was very helpful at accommodating this and had good awareness of gluten free food. Great, fun, atmosphere. Will return.

Just got back from a meal here, surprised by the slightly negative reviews, we were greeted quickly, orders were taken promptly, food arrived in time and the waiter (I think his name was Dadi - I probably have that wrong!) was just so lovely. So thank you!You know what you're getting if you come to a pizza express - my faves our the bruschetta con funghi, fiorentina pizza, the cheese cake and new addition broccolini. Thanks guys :)

Nice waitress, ok food and overpriced for what it is. The starters were better than the main meals, Bruschetta lovely, calamari very tasty, Dough balls nice. Two of the pizzas were thin but so thin there was practically no base at all, normal pizza small but ok, the Calzone was the best. Bill came to £85 for 4 starters 4 mains and 6 drinks all soft apart from a £6 beer. I had a taste card and two £30 gift cards so it cost me £13, happy with that but if I paid full price I wouldn't be happy!

I don't know how they do it. The consistency of this place amazes me. Great pizza, friendly staff, nice atmosphere. We have never been disappointed.

This place is good for a quick reasonably priced meal but don't expect too much. On my last visit I ordered the pollo pesto dish which was just a bowel swimming in oil with a lovely hair right in the middle of my pasta. I would recommend zaza at the other end of Ruislip high street, it's more pricey but lovely food!

We are at this restaurant and were disgusted with the attitude of the manager when we lodged a complaint about the food. There was a barcode melted into the pizza. When we spoke to her about it she became confrontational and her attitude was extremely unprofessional. This was to the point where she couldn't even apologise for the mistake, instead we were told out attitude was wrong and that the barcode was not from her kitchen????!!!!! I mean who else cooked the pizza???? This manager was an embarrassment to pizza express. Because of her attitude and disrespect and disregard for us and our complaint, we refused to pay the bill which followed with "well get out of MY restaurant, you are not welcome here, do not ever come back," which was in front of a busy observant restaurant. Do not bother going here. Uxbridge isn't far you'll have a better service, attitude and experience. Absolutely disgusted with this food but more so with the attitude of a questionable manager. We have logged a complaint at head office and are awaiting their response. Shocking! AVOID AVOID AVOID!

A quick after work bite.Had a thin pizza with caramelised onions, goats cheese etc and salad in the middle.The usual fare you'd expect.Great fast service though.

Went in late Saturday afternoon. Restaurant was very quiet. We were well attended to & the food was very good; freshly cooked. Lovely spacious restaurant with nice ambience. Catered well for special dietary requirements namely gluten free.

Pizza was warm as opposed hot and the whole meal did seem overpriced. That said the service staff do their best but the venue never seems warm and cosy (especially at the entrance end) which is what you want at this time of year. Would we go back, which is the ultimate question? Not in a hurry me thinks! Toilet sign needs to be clearer too. On the plus side there was a good vibe about the place

I've eaten here countless times. Used to be very consistent - nice pizzas and a few basic pasta dishes, you knew what to expect. Recently I've had a few disappointing meals there. I wondered if they've got new people in the kitchen as some of the dishes I've had before really haven't been cooked as well as I'd expect. I used to enjoy the melanzane parmigiana but last time I had this the aubergine was undercooked and slightly bitter-tasting but the cheese was slightly burnt. Also had an undercooked, doughy pizza recently. It wasn't bad exactly, but I expect more consistent quality from Pizza Express. Service is similarly inconsistent - sometimes really good, sometimes slow and inaccurate. I think someone from the head office needs to visit and get them back on track!

Takeaway was good... Had the pollo pasta bit pricey for what it is rounded up to about a £10 for one dish; best to order over the phone then pick up or you will be waiting a good 20 mins or more but it is lovely food

Have met friends here regularly for several years as we have always enjoyed our visit. Staff are attentive and aware of their high number of customers for a weeknight. Service was prompt and the pizzas tasty and filling. A new wine was recommended Soave, and it didn't disappoint. Shame I was driving and couldn't enjoy more! Will be back again soon.

We ordered takeout pizza which we had never done before from pizza express, 2 adult pizzas 1 child's £30 so not cheap at all. When my husband brought them home they were cold and so badly burnt and crisp that the child's pizza was inedible. We had to pull off the anchovies as they were chargrilled and the pepperoni black. Really disappointed. When I called to complain the manager was most pleasant and said you can bring them back or we can repeat the order next time free of charge by this time it was too late for my son to wait for us to go and collect another pizza so I quickly cooked something and said we would get a free one next time which we did the following week and the pizzas were perfect second time round just disappointing they weren't 1st time round. The boxes are not like Pizza Hut boxes which seem to keep the pizzas hotter for longer so they go cold quickly. I would always eat in but not take out again especially as it's quite expensive too.

Nice experience here. Pleasant setting and use the group on or online vouchers to get great discounts. Love the pizza and salads here. Food is always clean and very well presented.

Always reliable for a good meal. Always quite busy too! Visited with two grandchildren and things to keep them amused were brought out straightaway. A good childrens' menu too. Pity we just missed out on an offer the evening we were there as there is usually an offer of some kind. Good food, nice ambience.

A smart clean restaurant with delicious food, food order was taken promptly but not hassled and arrived fairly quickly, food quality was fantastic and tasted lovely, staff were friendly and attentive but not overbearing, I will definitely be returning to this venue miles better than other main stream pizza places better for adults with a more rustic style Italian pizza than the competitors fast food rubbish.

We went here as a family and ordered teh kids food with teh drinks and ordered the adult food when the drinks came. The adult food came out 10 minutes before the kids food. No apology. The kids cococcino never came. The kids combo meal is good value.

As far as the food is concerned, this was a nice quick bite of dough balls and a superb salad. Pizza express do great salads, the environment is nice and pleasant

My husband and I went for a late lunch. We were greeted very warmly by Dali who continued to do a spectacular job, throughout our meal, of looking after us very well.We had the American Hot Pizza and a Rucola Salad with shaved Parmesan. Dali brought us chilli oil, garlic oil and flakes with out even being asked.We were very happy with his attitude and the food.

Took forever to come nearly had finished and after asking twiceToilets are on the 1st floor and you have to climb s steep 21 stepsThe waiter was good but probably need s few more staff

The service was great and the waiter was very friendly. We came for my sister's and dad's birthday and received a free bottle of proseco. But the food came out a little well done and the pizzas were quite burnt and lacking cheese. The chairs are quite uncomfortable and very close to other tables. Zaza is a much better italian restaurant down Ruislip high street

Ruislip pizza express has really good and friendly staff and always get you a table and always smiling and happy to assit with my order u can book online or call thme and always deals online

Went for a quick bite to eat today with the family and the children choose pizza express in Ruislip. The intial greeting was quite acceptable and after the ordering the experienced quickly declined. To my amazement I saw in a mirror a chef throw what looked to be a dough ball or a piece of dough to a supervisor or manager across the restaurant. I looked around in amazement and the supervisor obviously spotted that I saw. He was then hesitant to return the throw to his colleague and was checking whether I was looking. Astonishingly I witnessed him throw it back in the mirror!! Other diners must have also seen this and cannot believe this would occur. Thus spoilt my dining experience for all I know this was my food as I was still waiting for our food.Then when it arrived it was acceptable at best and as soon as my wife and I finished the plates were cleared even though my children were still eating and we advised the waiter of this fact. We asked for the bill and it turns out and Orange juice and Lemonade was £4.30 as they charge for an orange juice then a lemonade. This is a rip off so be warned!Overall a disappointed and expensive quick bite to eat. Very very average
