Pizza Express in Lincoln

Ah, Pizza Express – the place where dough balls are legendary, but apparently, time travel is real because my pizza arrived from the Ice Age. It’s almost impressive, really. How do you make something taste so good, yet feel like it’s been left out on a ski slope overnight? Let me set the scene: we walk in, full of hope, stomachs rumbling like an angry bear, and sit down ready to feast. And then… silence. Not the good kind, though – not the “peaceful ambiance” kind, but the “did the staff collectively decide to take a day off” kind. We waited long enough to memorize the entire menu, recite it backward, and question all of our life choices. When the server finally did appear, they seemed surprised to find us there, as if they’d wandered into the wrong restaurant. The classic “take your order, disappear into the abyss, and return only when you’ve emotionally moved on from needing food” service model was in full effect. And when the pizza did arrive – oh, the potential! You could see it had once been glorious, like the ruins of a great civilization. The flavors were there, hidden beneath a thin layer of frost. It was like biting into a gourmet popsicle that was rudely shaped like a pizza. I didn’t even know pizza could crunch like that. Overall, if you like your food cold, your service nonexistent, and enjoy reflecting on how long a human can survive without nourishment, Pizza Express is the place for you!

Visited late on a Friday night and found a table quite easily. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. I ordered the Calamari and a Pepperoni Pizza. Both arrived in good time, were served hot and were very tasty. What you should expect from such a chain: decent food, good service and super quick.

Great new menu we booked weeks ahead but many items not available to order so very dissapointing, cold starter sent back too which took 20 mins to be redone

I think we hit this restaurant on a bad day. Chef was behind and swore to other staff. Tables and floors were not cleaned before sitting in a pre booked table. Food adequate

As always, great food cooked well with bright service. Very good value for money. I really appreciate their consistency.

Most horrible pizza i ever eat. Never again i order any pizza from them. This is not the pizza and they should asking for this pizza max 1£.

We regularly visit Pizza Express on our travels and this is one of the best pizza expresses we have visited. The atmosphere and ambience is lovely. The service was very good but the best was the bbq burnt ends pizza which was perfect 👌

Great service and really tasty food. Excellent value for money when using the rewards app. Staff are kind and helpful and service is swift. No problems paying on the app as very user friendly.

Nice food and very nice staff but the bench/banquette in the first part before the stair (where children's parties are often seated) needs cleaning. One of our party spotted some mess just as she was about to sit down so I moistened a serviette and cleaned it - the serviette came up black and the serviette I used to dry the bench wasn't much better. It obviously hadn't been cleaned for a long time. Plus this was after I'd picked up something off the floor before someone stood in it. The food and staff are nice but cleanliness is important too.

Was seated outside and then ignored. I had to go inside and interrupt the waiters conversion to tell him we were ready to order. After ordering we waited over 30 minutes for our meal once again I had to go inside and look for the waiter. I was told that the order hadn't gone through to the chef. We ended up leaving with no food after spending 45 minutes there. Awful service from a waiter who couldn't care less!

This was our first visit here, a friend had given us a voucher for Christmas so we opted to visit for my husbands birthday. We were sat opposite the kitchen which was cool but very noisy with people going past all the time. The menu felt limited and expensive, additional items on a pizza for £2.50 is outrageous. The food that we had was nice but we feel better value, choice and atmosphere at prezzo. The staff were friendly and helpful, helped us with the app when we had questions.

Brilliant food brilliant service, imogen served us, she was absolutely brilliant no fault in her what so ever helpful friendly, couldn't do enough for us, overall brilliant experience !!

The food was excellent. Very impressed. My first time in Pizza Express. However, the service was not good at all. Our male waiter called me boss. That's not how a customer should be addressed who you have never met before. We had to ask twice for the bill because the first time he walked off to chat with other staff, right next to us about non work things (we could hear the gossip). No cutlery for dessert, again had to ask twice. The staff when near the coffee / dessert making area spent more gossipibg and not working. We could hear the conversation. I will go again in the hope service will be better.

Popped into pizza express whilst out shopping with the family, can't complain about the pizza, it was exactly as described. I noticed those making the food had hats on but no hair nets were used, I'd actually mentioned to my husband about the lady making pizza and how long her hair was down her back. My son ordered a pudding and found an extremely long hair in it! They did bring him a fresh one and take it off the bill but that's not the point. I noticed another employee had a beard snood on, what is the point in that if nobody wears a hair net to keep hair out of the food. One other issue was the gentleman making the pizza was helping himself to the tomatoes, he grabbed a handful, lobbed them in his mouth and then carried on making peoples pizza, his hand definitely came into contact with his mouth, he then carried on making someone's pizza without any gloves on. I had already eaten by then, if I hadn't I would have asked to cancel my order and left. Can't fault the guy who served us, he was very pleasant, (I'm sure they all are) I just think they are lacking in food hygiene/safety. Unfortunately I will not be back, there are far nicer places to eat in Lincoln.

I like this pizza express. They are pretty speedy and the food it great. The place has just been refurbished, so it looks a lot nicer than before. Overall a good dining experience. Make sure you book on a Saturday especially.

Staff were very professional. Pizzas were tasty, but we thought the classic pizzas are too small for the price.

Food and service both very good. Excellent value being a gold member on the app. Pizza was hot and tasty, doughballs were lovely and the dolcetti biscoff cheesecake was very good.

We had a delightful evening catching up with family. Lovely atmosphere. Super food, all quite delicious! Fabulous service from Imogen. Very attentive and great attention to detail. She made us feel very looked after. A credit to you. We will return.

Shelly (daytime manager) was a credit to the Pizza Express chain. My son was at a birthday party at a cinema chain that unfortunately don’t cater for coeliac disease, which he has. They agreed to bring food in from external - being located opposite cosy club I tried there first but was told they couldn’t help…. I then went straight to Pizza Express where Shelly ensured a rapid turn around of high quality GF pizza, her only concern being that my son didn’t feel left out or different / self conscious at the birthday party. She made my day.

We went here as a last minute valentines meal after going to the cinema and had a lovely time. Staff were so kind and friendly and we felt very welcomed, service was quick and I always love a pizza express pizza

This place always seems to be busy & the tables are quite close, so if you’re after a quit meal, this is possibly not the place for you. If you want a tasty bite whilst in town, then the food is good, the staff generally friendly, & it’s a nice treat.

My 13 year old daughter and her friends were kept waiting one and a half hours for their starters last night whilst they witnessed a family on the neighbouring table come and go during that time. They had pre booked the table so this was not acceptable. They did however have a very nice waiter.

What can I say, we come time and time again and we are never disappointed. Just recently when we have visited, we have been served by a lovely guy called Ollie. He is so cheerful and goes out of his way to make sure that everything is OK.

Me and my husband had an amazing meal, service was great, we were served by Connor and Shannon, both lovely staff and couldn’t do enough for us, very polite and welcoming, service was fast and efficient, highly recommended. Food is fantastic, will definitely dine there again. ❤️

Food was very nice. Good sized portions. We felt quite ignored though. There was a very long wait to order food and drinks but when we did these arrived quickly. We would return as our meal was enjoyable and the coffee was also very good.

We literally come here 3-4 times a month, it is that good! Service is always impeccable, and the food simply sublime! Do yourself a favour and come here in your next visit to lincoln!

Pizza express has always been a decent restaurant and despite Covid still holds up. A slightly reduced menu compared to previous visits (Pandemic)... I missed the old sharing starters with the various meats, cheese etc.I mixed it up.... hallumi fries x 2 () and dough ball starters, hot calzone and choc fondant pudding. Including the Mrs (pizza and pud) we walked out fed and watered for £60.Track and trace, seating outside (on a boiling day), good service (big dude with blond hair), QR menu.

Highly highly excited this is our new local pizza express. We moved in December in lockdown and we went to pizza express on Monday the first possible day we could and I have to say this was by far the best pizza express I have been too (for the love of my pizza I have been to many) I have some pretty odd toppings including no cheese and they catered for my order with no questions asked ( apart from is it an allergy) and it was so so good! The only bad thing is that it’s so close and if I go too often I may need bigger trousers

We had salad and a pizza to share, the salads are very tasty and lots of different leaves etc. plenty of chicken egg tuna etc in our salad. Good service too although serving staff were not wearing masks kitchen staff were and there was social distancing

Cold atmosphere and cool food. Starters good but pizzas overpriced and not very hot. Little attention from staff - had to ask for cutlery and side plates. There are chairs piled up in corners making the place feel untidy and the stairs to the toilets are full of dust.

Very nice pizza - crispy thin base, flavoursome toppings. Not too filling or stodgy. I have tried Bella Italia, Ask Italian and Prezzos. This is the best by far!Only criticism is that it was quite crowded and I was elbow to elbow with the table next to me and wedged against the wall. I went at 6pm on Saturday so perhaps go at a quieter time.

As someone who isnt normally too fussed about Italian restaurants I wasnt jumping with excitement when my friends picked here for our girly night out. However I was very impressed with the food and coundnt fault the whole experience at all. A group of 5 of us visited and we all had a main and desert. The food was delicious, my padana pizza with some chicken added was amazing and the girls all really enjoyed theirs. The deserts were also delicious. The atmosphere was good, not too busy even though it was typically the busy time of night. The staff were attentive despite having a lot of tables to look after. We had a voucher so although it started off looking fairly expensive ot was a nice treat to have the discount and made it taste even better!! Definitely no complaints and I would be happy to visit again and try something else off the menu!

Went in for a quick and low cost lunch which turned out anything but! The service was polite and efficient, but we did see what may have been the manager? Holding court around the drinks area and saw her making faces about a customer behind their back. We did have a money off coupon which we were able to use but even so it cost just under £70 for 3 people (no puds)! So a bit steep with a voucher having taken off cash. The drinks cost were excessive, 2 wines, 2 cokes and one soft drink = £24. Quality of food was average. But no idea who was in charge, they did not make themselves known to the diners or do any pleasantries as far as we could see.

We had a table booked for 2030, the food was lovely and the service was quick and efficient. At 2245 hrs both myself and my partner witnessed two waiters roll up cigarettes on the hot plate ...then we saw one waiter put the cigarette in his mouth at the hot plate . I raised my concerns to the ? Manager Shelly who said she would deal with it ..... surely in a food environment this is a hygiene hazard !!!!!

We visited here last night for the first time & will definitely be going back, the staff were so nice , the pizzas were delicious & so tasty. We had the margarita pizza.....just lovely.

Just popped out to use vouchers bought for us. Booked online nice and easily. Table location wasn’t the best, very close to kitchen/ servery entrance. Service was quick and friendly, food was very nice, honeycomb dessert was excellent!

Perfect place for a family meal especially if your granddaughter likes pizza. Very friendly staff and very well served a superb choice too.

My husband is very hard of hearing and the music in the restaurant was quite loud this afternoon. When we were shown to our seat I asked if the music could be turned down and explained why. The lady who was looking after us said no, that the music served all of the restaurant and the inference was that my husbands deaness was not important at all. I was actually quite shocked at her insensitivity and disregard of a disability. When the waitress, Kim, came to take our order she was amazing. She realised the music was an issue and when I asked her if the music could be turned down, she said yes, of course! It was no problem at all, and quite frankly, the new volume was better for everyone. We went on to enjoy our meal, were able to chat, the food was great and the service perfect. Please Pizza Express, be inclusive.

Visited with my wife, son and our foster baby. Lovely atmosphere and we were looked after really well. We had three different meals and all enjoyed them.

Two mates and me went here for dinner on Nov the 9th 2019. I didn't look too busy it was about 13:00 they didn't have a table, but the guy said 40mins so we went for a drink. We returned got to our table, service was sluggish, it was a while before our drinks arrived and we had to attract the attention of the staff throughout. It clearly needed more staff, all the waiters were busy multi-tasking, but there wasn’t enough of them. The food was the usual standard for Pizza Express so you know what to expect – I had the ham pizza and asked for pepperoni with a thin crust. I found it very satisfying.

Visited the restaurant for the second night running as we were attending a consecutive function at the Drill Hall. Placed order at 6.15pm. Not many other people in restaurant. Sat and waited, and waited, and waited!! Noticed table next to us (who came in after us) were served starter and main course, and we waited. I noticed what looked like our order (2 x pasta dishes) going into the oven at 6.35pm. At 6.45pm wife asked chefs if they had got our order. Reply was that yes, they were in oven but took a while to cook. Finally arrived at 6.50pm. Not enough time for us to eat main and order a desert, so just asked for bill. Left at 7.05pm. Other unsatisfactory point, all food is put onto cold plates. There are heater lamps over the plates, but they patently don’t work. Hot plates guys, it’s not rocket science!!! Wife was going to have a word with manager, but he did a disappearing act. Only went because it’s closest to the drill hall and we had Tesco vouchers. Won’t be going back.

My friends and I went here for a leaving do in a Friday night. It wasn’t very busy and we made good use of a 2 course offer for £11.95. Personally this saved me £10 so very worthwhile.

Good restaurant- fairly good service and good food! Though everything was a bit burnt!!! Which was a shame! - wouldn’t go without a voucher as not worth it for bread and water!

Very tasty pizza, but had to wait quite a while by the door before anyone came over to give us a table.

I’ve been here twice recently, once with my mum and the other time with my boyfriend. The staff were pleasant and I was served very quickly both times. The standout point of both visits to pizza express though was the food, absolutely delicious!

We visited Pizza express for a catch up with our lovely family. We were a party of 5 of ages from 6 up. We had booked online and had initially struggled to change our booking. We found we were passed around quoted a bit for simply changing it!?

Went in with a party of 9 on a quiet Sunday afternoon. Waitress altered tables to accommodate the number in the party. Food, napkins and other rubbish all over the floor under the tables that hadn’t been cleaned when the table was set. Pasta and other junk on the floor in the main accessway. Waitress didn’t bother to clean it up when she came back to set adjacent tables later on and kept walking over it. Food was good, although they served half our mains, then another table before bringing the rest of ours which were then getting cold. Felt like getting the manager and showing them how dirty the place was.

We have been to so many Pizza Express restaurants at various towns, but we have never been to this one even though it’s our hometown so we decided to go into town for lunch. We were seated quickly and the service was very quick. The food arrived in a timely manner and was very tasty and well cooked. The delay however, and quite a long delay, was getting the actual bill so we could pay for our food. We ended up sitting for quite awhile trying to get the attention of the young lady who was serving. To her credit she seem to be serving everyone with minimal assistance from a couple of others who drifted in and out so although it took a long time to get the bill at least we could see there was a reason for it. More stuff maybe? Other Pizza Express restaurants have the use of their app as a way of paying the bill without having to wait for someone to bring it however this didn’t seem to work at the restaurant. Unsure if they are not set up for it or if the app was just unreliable.

We dined here for lunch as a family of four. It is quite dated in this restaurant and looks like it needs a good clean. Food is below average and priced high. It is very off putting seeing the waiting staff prepare the drinks (they need a dedicated bar tender as it makes the service far too slow) and also seeing them prepare the low cost desserts does not inspire you to order one. We wouldn’t return unless the food standard improves or they reduce the prices.

We visited yesterday as a family group. We had a bit of a wait for starters but they did arrive. We then waited 45 minutes and still no main course. On enquiry we were told the chef hadn’t seen our ticket. To be fair food did swiftly follow but we were not offered any goodwill gesture even though staff were apologetic! A shame as the food was delicious as always.

Great example of one of these restaurants. Decent service, clean, tidy, good food and a good spot. Nice place to grab a bite.

Relatively quiet Sunday evening, but service was slow with the waiter chatting elsewhere instead of taking orders. Pizzas were OK but nothing special and cooled very quickly, no-one bothered to check to see if we were happy with the food. Wouldn't rush back to eat here - there are much better places in Lincoln. Glad we didn't have to sit outside as the tables were surrounded by rubbish bins and even from the inside was not a great look.

I can keep it simple, the food is consistently good, the staff are consistently good (with a sense of humour) and I like the location.

Came for tea. Had the chicken salad was lovely and the bill came to £60 for 4 of us. Very impressed will be back soon

It's not kind to a restauranteur to arrive en masse for a late lunch without warning. But this place coped excellently. Tables were hastily pushed together for our party, the food was all cooked to Pizza Express's usual high standard and served simultaneously, we weren't pressed to drink or eat more than fitted into our rather tight schedule, and the service was excellent. We left agreeing that we were all impressed by our visit ... and suitably fortified for the steep climb up to Lincoln Cathedral and Castle!

Lovely restaurant in Lincoln just on the way up to Steep Hill. Busy place but service was good and the pizzas as you would expect great too.

We went for a meal here tonight and I have always enjoyed the mixed salad so ordered one of these to go with our pizzas. The first one that came was sent back as the leaves were all slimey. When they brought the next one , where are the tomatoes?...there used to be at least a whole one cut in to wedges, tonight there was maybe a quarter of a tomato cut in to 4 pieces.. very poor!! Come on pizza express your standards are slipping....this will soon be another restaurant off my list.

Came here last Thursday with my boyfriend and had a great meal with fantastic friendly service , think our waitress name was Ella and she was so lovely. Pizzas were delicious and quick service , will defiantly be returning soon :)

We thoroughly enjoyed our vegan giardinieras, generously loaded with flavoursome artichokes, asparagus, red onion, garlic oil, black olives and seasoning on a classic dough and passata base. Most of the wines are vegan, i.e. not fined with milk, eggs, fish swim bladders or the skin, tendons, connective tissue, ligaments and bones of mammals, usually cows or pigs. Service was good and we enjoyed watching the chefs hard at work in the central section of the restaurant.

Down hill from the off firstly we stood in reception area awaiting a member of staff to eventually turn up so we ask to be seated in the front to be told that table was booked which is normal in a restaurant.then to be seated in what can only be described as behind a bar in the food prep area next to the disabled toilet were the staff prep the sweets and get the chilled drinks very odd architecture design.Tried to order the “New barbacoa pizza only to be told they didn’t have any left well no words on that debacle really.so ordered a so called thin and crispy pizza which taste wise was fine and was thin but nowhere near crispy floppy and oily.I also had a glass of house red (generally a safe option) the one I received was bitter in taste and rather odd so left half and pointed it out to the server wether it was passed on no idea. On leaving I paid note to the manager fact that our desired table was empty ( I was informed the diners had been and gone all I’ll say is they were very quick then ) We have tried this chain a few timer rarely with any success and to be honest find it very expensive for what they offer so I think we will avoid in future far better place on offer

We had been doing a full day of walking so needed somewhere to sit down and get some food.

Normally love the food here but the pizzas were very bland and lacked flavour and toppings. Coffee was nice as was the mini cheesecake. Service attentive but not particularly warm or friendly.

We visited the Pizza Express in Lincoln for our grand daughters birthday meal recently and all had a very enjoyable meal - and would have no hesitation in returning in the future.

It is a chain restaurant but a good one at that- the service here is always good in my experience, it was swift from the start- they weren't busy, but it was attentive. Only came in for lunch, but it is definitely one of the better pizza expresses I've been to. The pizza here is amazing- it should be that its the same everywhere, but not all chain restaurants have good chefs- and here it just seems right- I've never had a bad meal here.

The service and food was excellent and could not be faulted. Leanne our waitress was perfect and very efficient and friendly. The ambiance was just right. We looked in at other restaurants and they looked very quiet and lacking in atmosphere. Very satisfied customers.

Muy buena comida en un ambiente relajado. Las opciones de menú de fieltro eran limitadas. Estoy comparando esto con Zizzi y Ask. Sin embargo, si la opción reducida significa comida de mejor calidad, entonces es fantástica. La comida estaba caliente y muy sabrosa. Servicio excelente en la mesa, pero podría haber hecho con alguien saludando en la puerta.

Visited the branch during Christmas shopping. Staff were friendly and welcoming, the food was quick and super tasty! I definitely recommend to try the seasonal specials before they go off the menu! We will be back.

Es genial que las cadenas de restaurantes como pizza express, handmade burger co. , wagamamas, etc. están poniendo opciones veganas en sus menús. Por desgracia, las pizzas que teníamos de pizza express eran demasiado caros. Cuando pides una pizza de puttanesca que diga con "fruta de mar" marinada en una salsa de tomates, aceitunas, alcaparras, cebolla roja, chile, ajo y hierbas con mozzarella vegana, ¡esperas que pruebe las aceitunas! ¡Apenas podíamos ver el jackfruit! Puedes comprar una lata de jackfruit en mi supermercado local asiático por 1. 15 una lata. Pizza Express deja de estar tan apretado con tus ingredientes! Las pizzas estaban bien, pero no llena. Las mesas estaban ridículamente cercanas y se sentían como si hubieran sido apretadas en cualquier rincón posible. La próxima vez nos quedaremos con los establecimientos vegetarianos / vegetarianos como cafe shanti y pimiento. Las bolas de masa se pueden pedir veganas. Y hay sorbete o pastel de zanahoria para el postre. Fuimos a Shanti para pastel y café.

Solíamos ir con bastante frecuencia, pero hemos parado debido al servicio inconsistente, una pena porque la comida suele ser buena. La última vez que fuimos prácticamente salimos. Me dio retroalimentación ya que me sentí muy fuerte al respecto. No volveremos en el futuro previsible.

Lincoln Pizza Express is the best looking Pizza Express I have been to. I went there with family on a recent Saturday afternoon and everything was incredibly clean and smart and the service was swift, friendly and really professional throughout. Food was spot on as always. Never saw a table with pots on so they must clear away quickly and discreetly. Pizza Express in other places could learn a thing or two from this branch. Only thing I did notice when I walked past outside along the side of the building is the huge skip bins in the seating area in the yard - hopefully in warmer months they are hidden away from outside diners. Would highly recommend this restaurant.

This is not the first time this has happened. But we returned again because the food is lovely! However we asked to be seated outside and was sat for 20 minutes with not even a drinks order taken. But another table had been seated and served there while we were sat there still waiting, presumably forgotten about. Shame as always enjoyed it there but probably won’t be returning again due to very poor service in a not particularly busy serving time. The table was dirty and not even wiped as we were seated, I know we asked to be seated outside but that’s just unhygienic, and the bins were over flowing right next to us. Such a shame.

Went in here for some tea with my parents and the service was great and friendly. The staff members had good manners and the staff member who served us was friendly and had a conversation with us while we were given the other to them. The food that we had was very tasty and the pizzas had taste to them which was good.

A morning in Lincoln climbing the hill pushing my 90-year-old Father in Law in a wheelchair then a circuit of the cathedral and castle was brought to a close with lunch in Pizza Express. (Happily, even after the downhill trip over the cobbles, F-in-L still had his teeth.) I admit that Pizza Express would not normally be my choice for dining but Xmas had brought a present of two gift vouchers for the restaurant. Anyway, we arrived, hot and dishevelled but made to feel welcome and were seated immediately. I should mention that F-in-L is not the most cooperative of patrons yet our young waitress Annabel was patience and helpfulness personified. With my BP through the roof I had difficulty reading the menu, she offered one with larger type but was also able to recommend a dish that met my specifications.

Can’t go wrong with a pizza express. Good food and service, will be back. Only downside is quite expensive for two meals and two drinks.

Staying in Lincoln to visit the university. Usual good quality of food and staff very helpful and friendly. Great location on the climb up to the cathedral.

Been here a couple of times over the summer, and have been really pleased. Great choice for gluten free (nearly all pizzas can be made gluten free), and an excellent vegan pizza which I highly recommend! Will be back soon..

Went for an impromptu lunch with friends. Found lettuce in my salad which had bird poo on it. The service was incredibly slow to say there was only another 3 tables occupied in the room. My meal was refunded and I was brought a new smaller salad (without any bread). Basically they just brought me another bowl of unwashed leaves. Not the kind of service or quality of food you expect from a chain restaurant. Super put off. Will not be returning. There are plenty of other Italian restaurants in Lincoln. Such a shame as this was our go too.

A well-located restaurant offering the standard Pizza Express menu. If you like it, you know what you get, and there was nothing to disappoint here. Service was prompt and efficient. They were happy to adjust a menu item for one of the party which was appreciated.

The evening started off on a high pleasant staff and service, then our starters arrived Delicious. Our mains arrived forgot the olives on our order the waiter had to check to see they was included and they was (should really know the menu but hey ho). Then it came to paying for the bill, received the bill. Then waiting for 15 minutes for a card even though they was not busy. Had flagged not one but three members off telling them we are ready to pay, was waving that card at them like I was waving a flag. But they decided to ignore and not even acknowledge we were there (bearing mind sat very close to the till). All four of the servers was at the coffee station making themselves a coffee while reading a magazine, very poor customer service skills. Finally a server came with a card machine did not apologize for the wait. By this time we had missed our viewing of the film that we had pre-booked and could not make because of the lack of service and having to wait.

Yes it’s PizzaExpress and yes there all much the same you know what it is you know what you get.

Obviously this is part of a large chain and the meals standardized across the group. But the food is good and served hot. There are some low calorie options for us fatties. What sets this one apart are the serving staff. Mostly jobbing students from Lincoln university who are a delight to be with. Great people well done.

Not impressed with menu, very limited pasta dishes and no specials. Price of drinks expensive and service not brilliant.

Our family favourite. Never had a bad meal, always come away wanting to savour the flavour! If dough balls came in hundreds, there still wouldn't be enough for my boys!!

We went for a family lunch. We’ve never been to a Pizza Express before, unfortunately we won’t be going again as it was such poor value for money! The children’s portions were so small and afterwards the kids were complaining they were still hungry. The adults pizza were nice enough but the price was just not justifiable! We ordered starters as sides (waitress recommendation) so you would think they were decent portions but they were a complete rip off. On the plus side the service was good!

Lovely food but rude staff! Price was only decent because of my Tesco vouchers. Restaurant is very small and cramped.

The last time I went in Pizza Express, I said I wouldn’t go in again due to it being massively over priced, small portions & not great tasting. I wish I’d stuck to my word!!

We visited yesterday as a group of 4, I asked for the set menu which was given upon request.The service was quick and efficient and the food was lovely. We all had starters, main meals and coffee. I would definitely visit again

We visited pizza express on a busy Saturday afternoon. The restaurant was quite busy but still had tables available which was good. Service was quick and friendly and the food arrived promptly and was of good quality. It was a nice restful atmosphere and a generally lovely experience - 4 stars!
