Went here for a birthday party with my friend I’m going here again in September for my cosine birthday party

We were very disappointed when we walked into pizza express in central road in Worcester park. We arrived at 6pm today 19/07/2022 got in the restaurant & waited to be seated. We waited for nearly 10 minutes before the staff noticed us. When the staff came to us to be seated but instead she asked if we had booked the table. We said no & noticed at least 7 to 8 tables were empty but she said we do not take the walk in customers as we have shortage of staff & the one already been seated are waiting for their orders. So we said we don’t mind waiting but she said not possible as we are not taking any bookings. Disappointedly we had to turn back without being seated. We can understand we have a staff issues but after going back home without having our dinner we called pizza express restaurant to talk to the manager but the phone kept on going on answering machine & left the message but didn’t get any response, Than we tried to book with following their phone system & our table was booked for 7.30pm as we wanted to know if they were taking any bookings. We think this is a disgrace with the company like pizza express not knowing how their staff behave with their customers. We hope this matter is put to the management to improve the service in their franchises. From smita & harshad patel

6 of us went for a birthday meal, service as usual was very slow, not enough staff. They forgot my simple starter of Olives, had to remind them when everyone else had finished theirs. Pizza was not nearly as good as Pizza GoGo who I normally use for takeaway. Topping was very frugal. Expensive for what it was, not impressed!

Its Monday lunch, its quiet. My friend wanted a pizza with olives amongst toppings. I wanted a Salade Niçoise. No olives today so both on to 2nd choices. My friend had another pizza - which he enjoyed, I went for a 'Grand Chicken Caesar.' Huge mistake. Clearly they had all but run out of Romaine lettuce and rather than tell me they just cut up the one leaf they had and then piled in a bowl of spinach leaves! Sog not crunch. Dreadful. Yes, I could have complained but this was already our second choice for my lunch treat, the first having a private dining ceremony, so I felt I should be silent. The dressing was a glutinous revolting yuck. Caesar would almost certainly have tried to swim back across the Rubicon if this was all that was on offer on the other side! Tons of it and in case something was still swimming and not drowned it came with an extra pot in case of emergency. Finally, the croutons. Foolishly I was expecting small sugar cube-ish sized crispy breads. Crunchy but nicely so. These, however, were slices of a small french stick about 1.5" diameter and, if you had enough of them you could have left you car jacked up on them. Couldn't bite them whole and couldn't break them easily with supplied cutlery without risking shrapnel flying everywhere. Recommendation - Avoid

I ordered a pizza at home Was rubbish! I gave another chance because is happening with me twice! I was very hungry and I fancy a pizza . With my half heart and scared I’m thinking about PizzaExpress because I feel is going to happen again the some story! Of course YES ! Coming home very poor, cold and the base is a Gum ! I paid 32 £ for nothing! I go to sleep with my stomach painful , hungry and disappointed.

I really liked the layout and atmosphere in here. But they are quite stingy on the portions for pasta and didnt taste nice. Bad Points: - Pasta portions smaller than other branches - Pasta didnt taste good and the pesto pasta looked very white - Chicken portions in the pasta is small at this branch - Other branches have given us chilli flakes and chilli for free. These people didnt remind us there is a price to pay. This should be free IMO - So of the dough balls came quite smaller than the others and quantity was same - Even after discounts it seemed poor value for money Good points: - Halal chicken - Close to a car park which is free during certain times - Staff friendly - The layout is really nice

Went last night for a catchup with friends. Food excellent service excellent and all round a good evening. Highly recommended.

We live just around the corner so have visited this pizza express a few times recently as our kitchen is being redone and wildwood has shut! The pizzas are tasty but over priced. I would still only come here on the days we can use the meerkat deal. It was quite busy so the service wasn’t great, I’m sure we will be back though.

We had a lovely time at Worcester Park Brunch the staff are always friendly and make us feel very welcome. The food is delicious so everything what we want.

We had a table booked for 12 to celebrate a family birthday which included 5 children. Staff were attentive and the food was Good, however, when the bill arrived we thought it was extremely high, £260.00 for pizza !!! As it was late and the children were tired we settled the bill and parted ways to our homes although the topic of conversation in all 3 cars was the bill. On checking through thourghly this morning it appears that ALL our food was taken from the main menu and not the set menus we had all picked, I hasten to add, there were only 14 drinks ordered of which 8 were soft drinks. Please don't be foolish like us, spend that extra 5 minutes and go over your bill in depth, ours worked out over charged by £69.00. In fairness to the manager when the party leader returned with the bill, he did apologise and refund the money.

We attended a school educational trip and was greeted by a lovely called Marilola and her chef George.They were very friendly and accommodating to us and our pupils and made the trip a great success for all.We would recommend them to any schools for educational trips.We cant wait for next time!Sheryl Smith Food Tech Teacher

Great branch of the popular restaurant but service can be quite slow as if it is a training branch! Otherwise all good!

We ordered a garlic bread with cheese to share which cost us £5.20, the portion was the size of my hand. Very small portions and very expensive for the amount you get. Mains were ok but when it came to asking for the bill the lady only bought over the card machine and no bill and told us the price verbally. I roughly worked out in my head how much everything could have been, but I shouldn’t of had to do this. With no bill to see, she could of easily charged us more then the total itself. Very unprofessional.

My daughter had her 8th birthday party at this restaurant on Sunday and I can not praise the staff and all involved enough. We had 13 excited 7/8 year olds and the staff were friendly and happy with all the children. Nothing was too much trouble and for a parent it was the easiest and most stress free party I have ever had for one of my children. To top this off we were given complimentary pizza's which went down a treat with the adults.

Went with my wife for a late meal, well not that late, 8.30pm. Food was as good as usual and what you expect from Pizza Express.

I have been to all the Pizza Expresses in Surrey and whilst this doesn't quite beat the Farnham branch for their dough this place is an absolutely jem. I have no idea why some people stick their noses up at pizza express the food here was now after two times of eating... definitely above average. The waitress was attentive... friendly.. accommodating.. And even sterilized my babies dummy for me when it fell on the floor. We had the antipasti sharing platter and Romana American hot with extra roquito chillies and it was to die for. My little girl loves the cheesy bread that comes with the sharing platter. All in all I am convinced this place is underrated ... It's warm.. inviting.. clean... And just generally a nice place to be. We already love pizza express but nevertheless I can guarantee we will be back to this Worcester park branch again.. It's better than Surbiton, Esher and Kingston if you ask me.

Me and 13 family members went early evening for a meal on New Year's Eve and the service that we had was excellent. There was a mix up with the bill but the manager sorted it out so that we could get the best of the deal. They were all very helpful with a smile and the food was excellent. Well done to you all especially on a busy night.

We have always received awesome service at this branch. Its our go-to for pizza in WP. Consistently good food (however I’ve not had anything on the menu but the pizza), but a bit overpriced.

I have been to other Pizza Express in the past, and my expriences have always been either horrendous or barely acceptable.

We had a lovely time here for my baby daughter (15) birthday. The restaurant is comfortable (aircon not too high) , food top notch and the staff lovely. I recommend this restaurant and the where great with my 4 year old son!!

A lo largo de los años me he dado cuenta de las coberturas en las pizzas disminuyendo. Durante el fin de semana pedí un clásico Soho Pizza y conté 3 aceitunas y tuvimos que pedir donde la virutas de parmesano era. Por casi 15 libras por una pizza, no espero para comer pizza de masa, la pasta sólo sirve con el menú infantil es fútil. 9 piezas de pasta y un frío, salsa de sobras congeladas. Personal de mal humor y todo es demasiado. Mi última de muchas visitas.

We went here on a Friday evening, had a bottle of prosecco and the 2 course set menu. Really Relaxing, didn't feel like we were rushed and the food was delicious :)

We visited as a group of six friends for a night out. We had fantastic friendly service and the food was cooked perfectly. The waiter who served us was very professional and made us feel very welcome. We have been here a few times and it really is the best Pizza Express in the area. They always pay attention to detail and make sure you have a great evening.

Went for dinner here with a few friends and the food was absolutely delicious from starters right to the deserts. Great atmopshere as well as great choice of music to further enhance the friendly and bubbly vibes in the restaurant. It is also great that the seating outdoors is very nicely layed out as I will be definitely coming here again throughout the summer time to enjoy my meals outside. To top it all of the customer service displayed by the staff was first class, with consistent reminders and updates on our orders as well as further requests for more water and drinks. I could not thank the staff more for their great services and contribution, even though it got very busy towards the end of the evening. Probably one of the best restaurants that me and my friends have ever dined in!

Yes this is a Pizza Express with the usual Pizza Express menu and small pizzas. The food and the staff are nice but the big problem is the noise! with hard tables and hard floors and ceilings the sound bounces round this restaurant making it really difficult to have a conversation. So I am afraid I no longer use it, to be honest with most of the pizzas available in supermarkets there is not much point anyway!

Just popped in here this evening to grab a pizza with the kids. Generally I wouldn't write a review for a quick bite to eat, but as the team looked after us so well I owed it to them. They were so lovely to the kids and our meals were all cooked perfectly (yay no burnt cheese on the pizza - massive plus!). You could really see how they thought of kiddies, as even the kids changing table had a comfy mat placed on it, with a shelf to make changing sooo much easier and to top it of they have a cot mobile hanging up... These simple extra's really do make a massive difference...Thank you,

I visited last night for an early evening meal with my two friends and a 7 month old baby. We received wonderful service from a lovely waiter called Ivor (I believe that was his name). It was my friends birthday and he really made us feel special. He paid genuine attention to the 7 month old, who was being a little difficult at times! We had to heat up the baby bottle and Ivor very kindly helped us to get some hot water - and then some cold water as the bottle was then too warm! Most waiting staff would probably get annoyed with our requests but he made us feel like nothing was too much trouble, which is so important when taking a baby out during a meal. We were so grateful for his assistance.Another lovely touch, was he remembered who ordered what when bringing our pizzas to the table, rather than asking us - it's these little things that really do make a difference.The pizzas were also delicious, as always to! We will most definitely be returning and really would recommend this place for a family meal.

We come here nearly every Thursday for dinner. We've got a tastecard and it's an affordable night out for some time quality time together. We've been to Epsom, Cheam and New Malden but they don't come close to the standards at Worcester Park. The staff are so genuine and friendly. They really look after you and make sure everything is ok with your food. The food is cooked to perfection. Service is spot on. Nothing is too much trouble. We order the same few items from the menu and they always remember, which goes a long way. It's always busy when we go but they always accommodate and have time for us. Highly recommend!!

Yesterday night, me and my friend, we had a beautiful time, with lovely service, and lovely food.Usually we go to pizza express in Sutton, but yesterday we try this one in Worcester park, and we love it.Our waiter it was really nice, polite and friendly. I think is name is Onur.We definitely will came back.

One of our favourite places to eat in Worcester Park simply because of the family friendly ethos. Service towards our little boy is always excellent and the kids menu and activities are great. Our son particularly enjoys being able to watch the pizzas being made. Food is always a good standard and even better if you can get a voucher or deal.

I had the Pianta which was soo delicious! It's healthy as there's no cheese, which is how a pizza should be! That's how Italy originally invented pizza - with no cheese, then America ruined their invention by shoving a load of cheese on top! With artichokes, there is no need for cheese on the Pianta! The mixture of flavours, textures and colours on the Pianta is authentic, interesting and creative - of course the usual lovely tomato sauce, and healthy greens, but also with pine kernels to give it that perfect contrast in texture. Mushrooms and artichokes together are amazing! If it hadn't filled me up, I would have ordered another one straight away! I will order the the Pianta every time! The staff were friendly, and service was fast too!

Not being a great pizza lover I came with mixed feelings but came away very pleased. I went on a Tuesday evening expecting it to be nearly empty but in fact the large café was quiet full and buzzing. Our waitress was a very pleasant girl from Latvia, very efficient and hard working. The food was very good and piping hot.The restaurant itself looks very modern and is ideally situated in the middle of the High Street. I would recommend this place as ideal for couples or small parties looking for quiet and comparatively cheap evening out.

Awful. Pasta is not freshly made it is done in a microwave. Disgusting. Was appalled by the blasé manor that the manager actually tried to convince me the pasta was good !! Apparently this is standard for the brand pizza express.

This is a fairly large Pizza Express half way up Worcester Park High Street. It has a nice ambience and is well maintained. The staff were very welcoming and attentive (especially to our young grandchildren ). Service was good. The food was well presented and delicious. It was good value for money, especially with the 30% off food Internet voucher.

We visit this branch a few times a year for a family meal out and always enjoy the food,service and atmosphere.Not the cheapest for those on a tight budget, but the food is well prepared and good quality.The service is welcoming, very friendly and attentive without being obtrusive.Great for families, couples or groups.The restaurant also has good disabled access if needed.Always look forward to going here with the family for a treat and wouldn't hesitate to recommend.

Decided to eat at the branch this evening, however I wish we hadn't. The customer service was absolutely appalling, the service was dire and the food was mediocre. It appears that staff here do not believe in customer service and have zero social skills. Yes it was busy, but that is no excuse. Sadly I won't be eating here again.

I love Pizza Express - the food is always excellent and we had a great waiter (I think he said he was Portuguese) who was very attentive and friendly without being overbearing. We were there for a while but we weren't rushed. I also used a website voucher discount of 30% which made it excellent value. My only slight criticism is the size of the calzone which seemed smaller than ones I'd had in other branches, but maybe this is new as I've not been in another branch since to find out.

Never visited but favourite with the Grand kids so tried ..They knew their way around the menu like I know the M25 so I had a Calamari starter and a Roana Pollo Forza (a flat LARGE pizza with chicken and lots of pepper etc ) They knew-- Dough balls and American pizzas and Nan had Pollo Pesto ..The restaurant was very busy lots of children and noisy but that is to be expected ..staff attentive ..no rushing but aware that immediately left the table would be taken as queue at door..Would I go again NO as a couple but YES with the younger generation thought a total bill inc drinks £88 a little steep but if that's the price Enjoy

Have been to this restaurant a few times and noise has always been an issue. Not good if you want to have a decent conversation. On this occasion the food was reasonable but the service deplorable. Our waiter seemed hurried and was busy looking all around him rather than being attentive, meaning we had to repeat our order several times. His manner was abrupt and occasionally rude - not something to put up with when the prices are on the steep side. Will have to think twice about returning as other venues are way better.

We visit regularly with and without our kids. Worth booking a table as it gets very busy. Also worth checking on-line for vouchers, as they almost always have a decent offer on. Good food at a decent price with good service.

Came here with my girlfriend and her family around lunchtime in the half term. The staff were smiley, friendly, polite and chatty and made us feel very comfortable. The food was brought out very quickly and was really, really tasty too. The prices aren't cheap (but this is a general Pizza Express problem) and the tables feel a bit cold and clinical but overall it was a lovely lunch out. P.S - The toilets are very clean and smell wonderful!

Lovely starter, main and dessert. Went all out cause I had a 40% off voucher which I couldn't help but resist using! Staff are friendly and helpful. Modern looking compared to some I have been in. Only downfall is that it can get really busy which means it gets extra loud... Other than that nothing to complain about.

So the thing is about this chain is that it ends up being quite an expensive meal out, and it's only a pizza.The pizzas are good as are the starters and deserts, the service can be slow but that's because it's so busy, and very noisy.

We went for a meal on Nye. We're warned that the resturant closed at 10 but were rushed by the waiting staff. The garlic bread was raw in the middle. When we complained we were told this is normal and how Pizza Express serve there dough. A order mistake was made on the main, we were told it was us that misordered. We eat at other branches regularly and rarely have cause for complaint burt will steer clear of this resturant in the future.

We have generally liked pizza capers on our UK Christmas holiday and the mood and ambience is nice. The pizza we chose tonight was just a bit plain though with not many ingredients. It's all fine I suppose but it just didn't blow us away this time around and it seemed a bit expensive all up but then we did have a few drinks. If they could make the pizzas to die for, this could be a comfortable four stars.

We visit at least once per week and have always been happy. Staff turnover is low which is great because you get to know them. Food always served quickly and staff keen to ensure you are having a good meal. Always busy in here so advisable to book.

Ordered a bruschetta and had to ask for more topping. It was like eating a piece of bread topped with freezing cold tomatoes. Hardly any pesto or onion. The La Reine pizza was also like it. There was a corner of a tiny piece of ham spread over the whole pizza. It was laughable, it was like a game of spot the ham. The pizza therefore, had no flavour I may as well have been eating a margarita. The only nice touch was the manager and a waiter came and made a little fuss of my daughter whose 6th birthday it was. When her dessert came they put a little candle in it and sang her happy birthday and gave her a balloon - so that was really kind of them and they did that without anyone asking. So thank you it made her night.

Our daughter has special needs (she is autistic) and finding restaurants that can accomodate and understand the condition are like golddust. This is one of them! Staff are friendly and courteous right from the serving staff to management. We never have to worry about quickly finishing our meal and can relax and enjoy eating out which is a rare treat for us! This is one of the few restaurants where we feel we can take our daughter without experiencing super high levels of stress about people misreading the signs and seeing a naughty child instead of an autistic child! Wouldhighly recommend!

Been here a couple of times food has always been good staff are friendly and helpful. Pizza is of top quality and so are the dough balls! Only thing they lack is a portion of fries!!

This is a nice local pizza express, nice staff, good food, can be busy at times so you may have to wait for a table but its never too long and they find the space. Good for a nice lunch

Had a horrible experience this Pizza Express. Got a table at around 9pm and said I needed to wait for my wife. She arrived 20 minutes later. The kitchen was already starting to to clear up (is 9.20pm late for a restaurant? - the restaurant stated it was open till 11pm) but there were around five tables still with people. The service was so unfriendly, impatient and the guy who served us, maybe even the manager, although I don't know, was very cold and unwelcoming. At the end I told him I literally lived across the road and that his service had been really unfriendly and it had been an unpleasant experience. He just through his hands in the air and said ' perhaps it's me, perhaps it's me' and walked off. No apology etc. He had black hair with it all shaved on the sides. Really awful. No WAY will I ever set foot in there again, and will always advise people to skip it. The pizzas aren't even that great anymore...

Been to this pizza quite a few times great food, good choice menu very polite staff nice decor.But we won't go again the restaurant seems to have some kind of problem with sound from all the customers every sound seems to Be magnified very bad acoustics needs some kind of sound damping, this may be because of the shape of the dinning area or possibly the tiling on the floor I am not a expert in this matter but I spent the evening shouting at my wife so we could have a conversation, lots of kiddies as well not good for couples. Would be good if they separated parents with young children to one end of the restaurant. Sorry if that offends but not everyone wants young children sitting or running round the restaurant next to them.

We come here often, mainly for the kids' birthdays, because everyone likes the food. I am emailed Pizza Express vouchers seemingly almost on a daily basis, so it is always good value for money. The Worcester Park branch has been refurbished relatively recently and is the better for it. This branch is almost always full, on any day of the week, so we always book now (they didn't used to allow booking in the old days). The menu changes on a regular basis, although I still pine for the days when they did "ham and eggs". It's all a bit too much carbs for me but at least the Leggera is supposed to be under 500 calories. The staff training seems to be good as we have never had an issue with service. Staff turnover seems high though as we don't recognise the faces from one visit to the next. Anyway, I'm sure we will be back next month as usual.

Use this one regularly - Is always busy but never had an issue getting a table. Usual Pizza express food - standard everywhere... Overall Pizza Express is not that cheap - but its nice and a voucher is usually available or taste card...

It's a Pizza Express what more can you say? The particular location of this branch I've always likes with a nice view out onto the high street.Staff have always been good and attentive no matter how quiet or busy.Food is as you would expect, nothing earth changing but constantly good. I've been to a fair few Pizza Expresses in my time but I must confess I do have a fondness for this particular branch. It is always clean and busy which gives it a nice atmosphere.I'm sure everybody knows what a Pizza Express pizza tastes like so what more can I add.

On my visit to Worcester park we had a lovely waiter that was brilliant with the kids, food was great can't fault it plus I always check there website before going as there's always brilliant deals

It was your usual pizza which has become over priced. The new risotto was nice but we waited ages to have someone take our order and then to get their attention to order more drinks. We left Disappointed with the service.

This branch has been refurbished not long ago. Good service and good food. Best to check if u can get offers before you go. There's always an offer at pizza express online.

Went here for a birthday dinner with my 4 year old and my friends. The waitress was very nice and food was good. Nice evening.

I am not particularly a fan of pizzas but we had a Tesco voucher so decided to give it a go. Our first impression was "Oh no, what a din." It was 6.30 pm and the restaurant was so noisy that a proper conversation was just out of the question.The outside seating area was not open but this did not appeal to us any way. Who would REALLY want to sit outside with all the traffic passing along Worcester Park High Street?Our waiter was extremely attentive and we could not fault the service.Our daughter enjoyed her pizza, telling me it just isn't the same as one that is cooked in our own oven at home. Mine arrived very hot but by the time I had finished it it was nearly cold. Now I might be being picky here, but I wish I had asked for the pizza to be cut first because I had a terrible job with the blunt knife provided and was almost losing it off the small plate when trying to cut it.I would not be in a hurry to go here again or to recommend unless you are really a fan of Pizza Express, then I imagine you know what you are in for and would not be disappointed.To summarise: The food was hot, presented well and the service was good. The restaurant is far too noisy (even without children) and the pizza, in my opinion, was no better than the one bought from Tesco at a fraction of the cost.

The same as every other pizza express in Surrey, normally easy to get a table as well. Always look online for a voucher code like 30% off.

You know what you are getting, get the timing right and you can have a great meal that isn't too noisy with kids/babies.

Cheese on my pizza was well dry....very dissapointed and for that price too...Looking forward to have a beer but for £3.95 for a bottle of 330ml and £6.85 for a bottle of 660ml....you gotta be joking!! RIP OFF!

I have been here a few times now and on the positive side always find the service good and the food quite tasty but because of the acoustics of the room it is a very noisy atmosphere and not conducive to holding a conversation over dinner. When the bill arrives IT usually feels expensive do what we have had.

Tooooo expensive....compared to other restaurants in the area ... Pizzas are nice but when you are taking 3 children it needs to be more value for money

Always go with a voucher otherwise expensive for what it is. Service in WP always good and very good with the children.

i frequent this place a few times a year- mainly when someone is coming to visit me in worcester park. free parking behind the premises and free wifi. staff have always been friendly over the years and the restaurant is kept very clean.i've found some pizza expresses to make the food seem rushed and mass produced, but i have never found that to be the case at this pizza express.not the cheapest place for a pizza....and dominos' and papa john's down the road are sure to be competition for takeaways!

Food was absolutely fantastic, couldn't fault it in any way at all. Prices were reasonable and staff were very helpful and friendly. It seemed a bit under staffed and if the place had been full they would not have had enough waiting staff.

Good points - usual great quality pizzas with lots of other options.Bad point - only that the place echoes badly so that if you are there for a get together and catchup it's very hard to hear conversations.
