Pizza Express - Cheam in Sutton

Had our first family post lockdown lunch here. Staff really attentive, food amazing, kids polished off every morsel. Win win win!

Lunched at the Cheam Pizza Express as we do quite frequently. Service was good, pizzas hot and fresh and price is competitive. The staff are always attentive and polite and the restaurant is airy and comfortable.

What a terrible meal. The staff only talk to themselves. I have to say they are having a lovely time , but they have no time for the customers. Took ages to be served. Food wasn’t very nice. No thank you or good bye. You have to ask yourself do they really want their jobs? Loads of other places to go to in cheam go there instead.

Very very slow service. The place had no more than 4 tables occupied and this place is large. The service was appalling. It was so slow. The people cooking were miserable. The servers spent their time chatting to themselves and the manager. When I caught the attention of one of them to ask for my bill, she rudely told me to wait. After 10 minutes of waiting I was able to ask for the bill. after I had was paid the server didn’t say thank you she walked off, without a word. There are loads of other places in cheam to eat. The staff seem to have forgotten this. I don’t think potential customers have as the other places were busy, I can start to understand why this place was empty.

It's been a long time since we last went to a Pizza Expres but we were pleasantly surprised when we popped in last minute for lunch. Quick service, nice menu choice and good value. Nice modern interior and comfortable seating. Will defo go again.

My friend and i on a journey from Ewell to Croydon stopped off in Cheam for a quick meal. It was promptly served and excellent. As we had been dancing only needed a light meal and were offered child's portions which were more than adequate

You know what to expect when you eat at a Pizza Express. This one is spacious with full length windows opening out at the front (Ideal for the summer) I have been there on many occasions and the service is attentive and the food predicatably good.

Love this Pizza Express, service and food is always of a good standard. Love the fact that it is en route to Sutton too, a lot more of a pleasant atmosphere than the Sutton one.

Popped in for a pizza with family and had well cooked and well presented pizza The other nice thing was that you did not feel rushed and were able to enjoy a leisurely meal

This is the best Pizza Express around! Great service, great atmosphere and lovely food. The Pollo Forza is to die for! Great for families, couples and mates nights.

Newish to the area, we went for 4yo daughter’s treat on her last day of nursery. Didn’t book, Thurs 6pm was very busy, got seated at the back and virtually cleared a table by the window with a waiter that the rather unfriendly shift manageress said wasn’t possible. Service was much better in Balham, food exactly the same, really. Kid’s food came reasonably quickly, which is all you can ask for... once we got a nice waitress! Odd mix of stressed parents and retirees. But that’s Cheam... Considering they have Wildwood, Prezzo and Mimi 25yds away, they could be doing better.

Such a lovely place to eat . Poped in for a quick meal and it was really busy . The staff seated us straight away at a nice table . The staff will do anything they can to accommodate. My son is very fussy and they cater to his needs . Lucy was our waitress and could not fault her . Alex the extremely hands on manager was helping all the staff and talking to all the customers . They are all very welcoming and work so hard . Huge praise to your team .

This is a really average place. In fact we came here on Monday and the place had run out of Mozzarella and wasn’t serving pizzas !!!! As this is one of the main ingredients how on earth can a place like this run out. Bizarre.

Quick stop off for lunch , lovely clean interior , lovely food , good and speedy service,happy staff, well managed place ... served by a lad who said he was new . Would recommend!

Lovely quality meal and lovely attentive staff. Not much more you could ask for! The cheesy garlic bread is very nice and the goats cheese salad is very fresh.

Popped into Pizza Express with my two girls after a walk in Nonsuch Park and had a fantastic meal with equally brilliant service - will come again, and definitely recommend the spicy pepperoni pizza!

A walk through Nonsuch Park and back with Lunch. A warm welcome, good service and attention by all staff, very clean in all parts of the restaurant. Very enjoyable lunch and drinks at reasonable prices in a relaxed environment.

Very quick service for seating, drinks and food. Very friendly waitresses that work with you trying to find the vouchers online. Unfortunately the pizza I had was very nice but felt dry and a tiny bit burnt round the edges. Apart from that one bad moment excellent.

Family visit after day out at Chessington Zoo. We have done many Pizza Express’s over the years at this restaurant is now one of our favourites.

Our local Pizza Express. Visited with our two young grandsons. The restaurant was fairly busy but we were quickly shown to a table. Staff were very friendly and efficient. They made the younger members of our party especially welcome. There were good activity packs for the children. The food was good. The bill was more expensive than normal as we visited on a day when we could not use vouchers etc.

Having been given a gift card for Xmas, my wife and I attempted to use it at our local Pizza Express in Cheam at 13.15 on 03/01/18. We were informed that they were unable to accept our gift card with no explanation. I can only say that as pensioners how disappointed we were that we were unable to have a meal that was after all already paid for. I assume that it was caused by a technical hitch, if this is so , I am amazed that no alternative process was in place to process orders.

I had the best time here last night, I am so happy to have somewhere I can go that allows me to have Pizza and it all vegan and gluten free. Very good service and Lovely venue. This place is worth every penny and I would go here again, Thank you Pizza Express for catering for my diet needs, best place ever, I will also be having the gluten free dough balls again as they were amazing.

We go to Pizza express regularly as it is always good value for money. Only thing we miss is the mushroom con fungi starter, for some reason they stopped doing it.

Three of us lunched at this Pizza Express today. The food was hot and tasty, the service friendly and efficient and the tables were clean. A very pleasant lunch altogether. We have used this restaurant many times in the past and never been disappointed. No doubt we will visit again. The loos were spotless too.

Went there with my Mum and Girlfriend, the service was amazing and the food was really well made. Would definitely recommend.

After a busy day, my boyfriend and I decided to order a pizza express takeaway from the Cheam branch. I turned up and gave them my student/university card to get a student discount worth 20% off and was met with aggressive service stating that they only accepted NUS cards- despite me using my university card in other pizza express' and this being no problem at all. My university card also clearly shows that I'm a student and thus am legible for the discount- this apparently to the aggressive man who served me, was not good enough and I was told that I was wrong.

The staff in the restaurant are excellent, and the food is pretty good to. Found that the vouchers offered via website are good value.

It's better for families rather than a nice meal for two. The owner also needs to replace the long sofa, Christ that thing needs burning....

This is a great Pizza Express as the staff are so accommodating, also a great location close to local pubs & shops.

Had a lovely experience - the food was brilliant and came within a good time, the staff were very helpful and polite and the restaurant and toilets were very clean - would recommend this restaurant.

I ate here on a Sunday lunchtime.Its a nice location in Cheam Village, just 5 minutes from a main car park and from Nonsuch Park. However,the service was really, really slow and the food was not up to the standard I normally expect from Pizza Express. Once I was shown to my table and provided with a menu I was pretty much left to myself.I was not in a hurry and had brought a newspaper with me, nobody approached me to take my order so out of curiosity I kept reading to see how long it would take to be served. By the time I had read the whole of the main section I was too hungry to wait any longer, so waved a couple of times at a waitress to have my order taken. I ordered calamari, the leggera padana pizza, a chocolate brownie and pot of tea. The calamari was covered in soggy breadcrumbs which looked to me like they might have been cooked in oil that wasn't quite hot enough - it wasn't v appetising, but the dip was nice! The leggera padana pizza itself was good but the salad in the centre of it was just a bunch of dried lettuce - no dressing. I tried to catch a waiter's eye to ask for dressing, but gave up and just didn't eat it.. It took ages for my plate to be cleared despite the waitress and the manager being engrossed in chatting to guests / each other. The brownie was very nice as was the large pot of tea.Once again, it took ages to get my bill and I watched as a large table of customers opposite me spent at least 10 minutes trying to get the attention of a waitress for their bill. In the end one of their party got up and walked over to the waitress to ask her directly. I noticed that one of the chefs was constantly chewing gum. All in all it was a disappointing meal, I've eaten here many times over the years and service had always been good; I'm afraid the current staff are not customer focused and the food being served is not being cooked and prepared to Pizza Express standards.

Experienced a quiet restaurant tonight when half term holiday but very few children present when we ate about 7pm tonight !!Night before Valentine's Day ...Great food with some tasty new menu choices .. and desserts !!! happy to see honeycombe dessert still available !!! Meal enjoyed with great rose wine !!

Pizza Express doesnt deliver a fully exciting menu which I think it doesnt excel as a restaraunt.Good points:- Pollo Forza in Romana was amazing and quite hot this time which I liked. Very filling.- Friendly staff - Halal chicken option avaliable- Close to train station & cheap car park- Children's menu dessert very good. The chocolate ice cream+baby chino is really good.PS: The activity paper and children's pack for the children is the best out there compared to other restaraunts. Someone has put alot of effort into making that! Bad Points:- Chicken topping wasnt nicely cooked and felt like eating Qourn/tofu- Childrens main portions of pasta are stingy - Starters dont have shrimp option- No sea food option- Dough balls should be complimentary- Sometimes diffcult to get waiters attention- First time wasnt offered extra cheese or oil

Delicious pizza! Well worth visiting this place. Perfect for groups of friends or just couples. I highly recommend it

Love the Bosco salad and dough sticks, good service, always consistent. Pizzas tasty and often lots of offers. Have never been disappointed with the food. Light airy atmosphere

Group trip to Cheam PizzaExpress. There were 14 of us and the restaurant was pretty busy already so the service was fine considering. They handled our allergy and gluten-free requirements with no problems. However, when the food came out the doughballs were very soft and seemed underdone. Pizza was fine, but at dessert I ordered the chocolate fondant from the new Autumn menu (which is described as a cake with a soft centre, and in the picture on the menu looks relatively solid and stands up on its own). When it arrived it had obviously just gone through the microwave and had collapsed into chocolate soup. Wasn't great and didn't finish. Also, two glasses of watermelon chill came out at the same time in completely different size glasses, which was a bit odd. A pretty average trip overall, could have been better, could have been worse.

Not the most amazing Pizza Express in the world. Possibly a bit of confusion caused by the new Autumn menu, but that's being generous.Service was a bit "distracted", though efficient (apologies for an order not able to be fulfilled, despite being a different table's order). Red onions inseparable from the salad (never been told this in other branches). Pretty noisy in there too (for a Tuesday night!) but that's not PE's fault.Couldn't fault the desserts, nor the speed, nor the Taste Card price.So Cheam: Zizzis or Pizza Express? I haven't been convinced by either. Think I'll stick to Sutton's versions in future.

We regularly visit this pizza express even though there are some more local. The staff are friendly and helpful and great with the kids.

We visited the Cheam Pizza Express as we were staying in Epsom for the night. We like Pizza Express as you know what you are going to get when dining there and the Cheam branch was no exception.All three courses came out very quickly and food was great quality.The only downside was it took an age to get the bill which was odd given how attentive they were earlier in the night.

To be fair most pizza express is pretty awesome. Great menu for food and wine and the pizza is enjoyable. Service is quick and efficient. It's a great place to pop in to between appointments or after heavy shopping.

Booked a table for my grandsons Birthday. No complaints on the food & the kids all really enjoyed.took a long time to get the bill however.

Reasonably busy for a Saturday evening but lots of spaces. The door person tried to sit us in the corridor by the toilets. Why do they do that when there are better spaces available? Can only thing his girl friend was waiting in that area! Got seated but loads of staff congregated in the area by us so not the best place to sit either. Good starters and main meal. Staff reasonably pleasant if not over pleasant if that could happen. Overall an ok place but watch where they seat you.

Had a 20 percent off voucher, so visited.. we weren't disappointed, but certainly weren't wowed either... it's what you'd expect from Pizza Express.

Went in with my family for a cousins birthday. Received fantastic service and great food! Everything was very efficient and friendly, could not recommend more!!

Our server was excellent. Service slowed once they got busy but this was understandable given how busy they became . However my pizza ... Didn't even fit in the plate so when the server put it down part of it went on the table. Wish they used hot plates as the pizza went cold very quickly . Also not much on it for topping either . I hadn't been to a pizza express for years - now I remember why.

First time visitor to Pizza Express, my grandaughter's choice of venue, the experience was akin to being held up and robbed of my wallet. Over priced pizzas with wafer thin toppings and drinks who's prices would make your eyes water. A bottle of ale which in my local supermarket costs £5.00 for 4 in this place will set you back £5.95 for one! I wouldn't mind so much if the food was something special, it's not. It's dull, it's ordinary and lacking in substance, I've seen more meat on a butchers pencil.

Our local Pizza Express. Had not been there for a while as there is a lot of local competition. A fairly large restaurant which is usually busy at peak times. The accoustics can make it noisy. The restaurant was moderately busy when we arrived for an early dinner. We were warmly welcomed and allowed to pick a table. Staff were friendly and efficient. Nice ambience. Food of a good quality. Good value for money with bogof offer on dough ball starters and mains. Will certainly revisit.

I straight up love PIZZZA So when I find out a pizza place is in meh hometown of course Ima jump on Dat hype. In the wise words of Sunrise Skater Kids "Pizza is the esscence of life!" Absoloute proverb.

This is a spacious child friendly Pizza Express. The music is a touch too loud and if someone is hard of hearing as my friend is conversation can be difficult. She did ask for the music to be turned down a little, but we do not think that it was. Get your discount voucher on-line and you have a cheap and well prepared meal in pleasant surroundings. In the summer the windows unfold at the front making it light and airy. A reasonable drinks list with a good selection. Good service, just the fairly loud music lowered the score. Situated in the middle of Cheam village, so easy to get to.

Any Pizza Express is generally consistent. Been to one, you've been to them all. We hadn't intended on a pizza but all our restaurants in the village were busy etc. What can I say, it did what it said on the tin. Staff were 'ok'... lots of families in which is good on one hand and not so good on the other, your call! Some mothers I saw struggled with their buggies etc. Pizza was fine and the beer was a beer. Would I go back there, probably not; too many other quality restaurants close by.

This restaurant is always busy for some reason, though it is just a normal Pizza Express. Nice touch having the Tony Hancock quotes on the wall, showing some local knowledge. Otherwise, just a normal Pizza Express. As ever with Pizza Express, deals can be had to reduce the price.

Father-in-law's birthday yesterday. Great table by the window. They dealt with all balloon and cake/candles without any fuss and we felt so welcomed and very well attended to. Pizza Express of course has a uinversal recipe so the food was very good as usual, but this was the best service I have ever experienced in a Pizza Express and I must have been to at least 20 different branches by now. Clearly great management and team seemed to gel well and everyone was smiling which was impressive as the place was packed and very hectic with kids and also oldies like us asking for endless photos etc etc. Well done.

Firstly let me say, I have had many pleasant meals in pizza express over the years, particularly like the quality of the premises. The Cheam venue is airy and good. I also like the mini deserts which solve the coffee or dessert dilemma! However, given that you can buy some of the pizzas (ok not freshly made or cooked in a fancy oven) often for 2-3 pounds suggests very poor value, why spend so much more? Having to download vouchers is a bit of a tired concept (why should you) and the deals are no longer that good. if you don't, paying £20 to £25 for an very average meal is too much. Few alternatives to pizza if any of your party want a change. Also, most dishes don't seem that healthy; the 'healthy pizzas' seem more or less just pizzas with some taken away and a bit of salad it seems for the same price. Chilli oll is very mild for some tastes. All in all, pizza express is becoming a tired concept in a successful business empire, ready for a new competitor to succeed them in high streets in the UK, as they did with Pizza Hut it seems.The high volume nature of the restaurant is also that in many places you don't get that personal service that many independents and a few good chain establishments may offer, may not be a problem in McD as it is 'fast', and generally don't recognise staff in the Cheam restaurant in repeat visits. Sometimes a concern whether the tips are fair with media publicity.

We booked a table for four and was put right next to a large party and you could not hear a thing as it was so noisy. We changed tables and ordered drinks and starters. We all had garlic bread and cheese and while it was tasty, the portions were smaller than they used to be and there was not much cheese on the bread. The waiter came back and started to ask what we wanted to order for mains, yet it was clearly obvious that two people were still eating their starter, (how rude)! The mains came and I've never had a Pizza Express pizza that was so poorly prepared and cooked. The pizza was dripping in tomato purée in places and the base was uneven; some parts were really thin and those parts were burned. Another waiter was also not friendly at all.I will not be returning and do not recommend this restaurant. My advice would be to give it a miss.

Nice atmosphere, very clean and spacious with attentive and friendly staff. My husband and I enjoyed the starter, main and dessert. They also accept taste cards which is a bonus! Great VFM!! Would definitely return.

Quite a large restaurant but tables rather close together. However, the service was quick and the food arrived hot and well presented.Typical menu of pizzas, supplemented by new 'Christmas' additions (well it IS now the middle of November!).The food can be seen as it is prepared and the whole place seems clinically clean.Food is well presented and staff are attentive but not intrusive,Wines are at 'expected' prices in such an establishment and the whole lunch taken was value for what was paid.

I went with my girlfriend on Saturday afternoon about 3pm. Was quiet and was impressed with the layout and the service. The food was good, the pasta could of been little warmer but the Sauce was great. My girlfriend is gluten free and they catered for her well. Staff very friendly and helpful. Would return.

The usual excellent service you would expect from Pizza Express. The staff are very friendly and efficient even when there is a problem! A rather over cooked pizza which was immediately taken off the bill and free coffee added. The decor is still nice and clean even after a few years after renovation. A great casual dining experience.

The service was greater than usual i would say and they were extremely helpful in helping my registered blind boyfriend around when he needed it.The food was good, although some others in my party complained their food was burnt. Unfortunately, the restaurant was absolutely PACKED with children for a 6th birthday party which was so loud we could barely hear one another.

I like the style of pizzas they do here, but it's noisy like all Pizza Express restaurants. Staff are okay.

Always excellent, we have been to a few PEs and this, our local, is far and away the best; probably why it's always busy! You certainly need to book at weekends. Always good value, especially with vouchers/deals.

Our local Pizza Express but had not been there for a while. It is situated in the heart of Cheam Village. Visited on a very rainy lunchtime. It was moderately busy. Think the rain had put people off. Staff were very friendly and efficient. The pizzas were excellent. Nice ambience. Good value for money especially with the free bottle of wine birthday voucher.

Visit there on a midweek evening,the restaurant was very busy and despite this the staff were very helpful,even bought my daughter some more colouring pages after she spilt her drink all over the 1st lot.Will Definatley visit again,fast happy service and good affordable food

It's been a while since I've been to Pizza Express. It's like an old friend who I used to visit a lot but seem to have neglected for a while so I was happy to see what had changed when we made a family visit to the Cheam restaurant. All the old favourites were still on the menu along with lots of new dishes. I decided to try the Calzone and it turned out to be a great choice. A wonderful cheesie crust, full of pepperoni, tomatoes, parsley, basil, spinach and Milano cheese. Definitely recommended. For dessert I tried the Tiramisu which I always used to enjoy but I noted from the menu this was a 'new recipe'. Good, but think I preferred the old one which I'm sure had a bit more marsala in it! The kids menu was always good and is still like a scaled down version of some of the best full menu choices. So much better than the usual suspects on kids menus of chicken nuggets or fish fingers.As always in Pizza Express the staff were great and very attentive. When one of our pizzas was late they offered some complimentary olives but thankfully it came very quickly after that anyway. A really nice touch at the Cheam restaurant is that, as all good comedy fans will know, Cheam was where Tony Hancock's lived in Hancock's Half Hour, and the restaurant has funny quotes from him on the walls. Very cool.Great to see Pizza Express has got even better since I last went, will be back more often!

We visited this branch of pizza express earlier in the year. The establishment was clean and very well presented. The staff were attentive wig tour being overly intrusive and the food was extremely well prepared. A very good example of pizza express at its best.

Food in pizza express is fairly typical whichever branch you eat in and the food at Cheam was nice and tasty. Service was good with friendly enough staff.Restaurant is not too big and has lots of natural light which is nice.what more can you say, good food at a decent price and good service.

We popped into here on a whim after a day in Nonsuch Park, kids were hungry and grumpy so we chose what we know as a family friendly restaurant. The staff were good with the little ones (4 & 18mths) and dinner came quick with the babies ice cream at the same time. Dessert took 20 mins even though it was only 50/60% full, that said it was my only gripe as the smiles and attention was excellent. Highly recommend.

Pizza express - you know what your getting!The concept is so simple and tonight the service was slick and friendly.Small pizza with salad in the middle - tasty and less calories!Nice glass of red - always the house as it's good. My friends all enjoyed their food too - and we shared a fantastic chocolate dessert!

Service was a big let down ! Just because you have a large party to serve you shouldn't neglect your other paying customers. Food took extra long and servers were more interested in tending to the needs of the large party then my table of 3. When food arrived it was less than expected....burnt crust pizza with very little cheese. Will only go back when it's not busy because they can't handle it

Tonight I have taken my family to Pizza Express in Cheam ,It's a restaurant I visit at least three 5 or 6 times a year normally good .Tonight however I feel the need to complain .First off all I will say our pregnant waitress was very good and she was very helpful .My major concern was after we received or main meals my six year old daughter complained that her pasta dish from the piccolo menu was cold I then tried it myself and it was warm and cold in the middle , when I brought this to the attention of another member of staff they took it back to the chef and he did no more than remove it from the bowl it was served in and then went to reheat in the oven.It was not until I said that was unacceptable that the chef decided to prepare a new meal .I have no complaints about the quality of our other three mealsAs we were about to leave my children had there traditional visit to the toilets both which were accompanied by either parent The male toilets smelt of stale urine and there was urine on the floor in the gents the female toilets smelt the same and no toilet roll !This was at 7pm so no real excuses So Pizza Express I will be glad to here your reply as this is poor and I expect better from you !

We popped in for lunch last Sunday having failed to get a seat at three pub restaurants. Plenty of space, kids having parties, usual Pizza Express experience. I tend to only go to Pizza Express every 2 or 3 years and the menu does seem to have more Low Calorie options than I remember. The staff were nice, the food OK . I think the size of the deserts has shrunk over the years.One of our party did mention that the Ladies Toilets were filthy though. You may be able to park on the road outside, otherwise there is a pay and display in Anne Bolyns Walk opposite-ish.

I booked a table for two thinking it might be a bit rushed etc this time of year but we had a lovely time. We chose dough balls to share for starter and it came complete with 8 balls each and 3 dips to share. We had a bottle of white wine. My friend had the vegetable lasagne and a mixed salad on the side. I had the chicken 500 calorie legerra pizza. We shared chocolate fudge cake and ice cream as we were too full for a dessert each. We finished with baileys. The service was very good. We weren't rushed even though we were there until 8pm. The total bill was £68 and we happily left a tip. We both said how we felt totally full and pleasantly relaxed.

Just left after a family lunch and needed to review as service was great and attentive with no feeling like you were being rushed. Slight let down was garlic bread not really having any flavour as though it had very little garlic in/on it. New menu had some great choices, loved the new Etna pizza romana and the honeycombe slice was gorgeous!Biggest let down though was toilets,which though clean, the smell of damp was awful especially in the men's room.

I love Pizza Express and am a regular whenever there is an occasion that arises for Pizza Express. The food as usual is lovely and the staff are very nice. The only let down, and I feel this is a major let down is that the acoustics in there are terrible. I sat in the whole meal in silence as I could not hear what my partner was saying half the time. It seemed that everyone else could not either as they were all yelling to each other. It's always been a problem in the Cheam branch. I've never had a problem in any of the other branches. Shame, really.

Good service and good food and reasonably priced. They were very busy at the time and people were waiting for tables. The only complaint would be it took a while to clear the starters from the table but this was because they were full.Will eat there again

I love this place. Always first on my choice for a quick catch up with the girls or a romantic meal simply because of the lovely friendly staff and the amazing food. Never have to break the bank with Pizza Express' great deals they have on. Fab for families, girly catch ups or even a first date! Great atmosphere and lovely decor!!

Excellent food and service.. Food is always fresh and served very promptly whilst hot. Loads of choice of pizzas pastas and salads and deserts and coffees. Quite expensive but always get a good experience with good food and service. Family friendly.

Have visited this local restaurant several times and have never been disappointed. Have just had another very nice meal. The restaurant was fairly busy. We were warmly greeted and allowed to choose our table. Ambience was good and the air conditioning welcome on a warm day. The staff were friendly and efficient. The food was good and service flowed at a reasonable pace. No complaints whatsoever. Good value for money especially given the free bottle of Prosecco in recognition of a family birthday.

We often go to this local restairant and always impressed by the quality of the Food and The Service. Its friendly staff with helpful sugesstions are a refreshing difference from other reactive service staff. Highly recommended.

My family and I came here yesterday for a meal. We originally went to the one on Sutton High Street, however as it was empty we decided to drive to the one in the village. The whole place was packed with people. The food was very nice and the manager provided excellent customer service. I'm surprised he hasn't been picked up by a bigger firm. Thanks again for a lovely evening.

Always good food but it's vastly more expensive to take a big family than their competition but will always be part of our going out experience.

Disappointed sums up tonight's visit. Starter was nice but all our pizzas had sides that were undercooked. Staff were really slow with service as well. Shame as most pizza expresses are really good.

We a been to this pizza restaurant in Cheam a few times now and we have found the staff very helpful & polite. The ambiance of the restaurant is very good, nice and clean, good food.Myself and my partner recommend this restaurant we are sure you will not be disappointed. Steve

This is our regular go-to pizza restaurant and we are never disappointed. The staff are very friendly and the pizzas are always excellent. You are never hurried and it always makes for a very relaxing evening.

We have been here before and its usually been 'ok' but this was a last minute thing on Saturday night so we weren't expecting the best. We were pleasantly surprised - it was almost full but the service was just right, the food was lovely and the atmosphere was great. It is a little pricey for what you get but as everything was good, it doesn't hurt so much. Well done as its hard to get it right in a chain restaurant.

As a couple we eat out most Thursdays. We often go to this restaurant even though we have other branches closer to our home. The reason for this is the excellent service and the fact that it is usually more than three quarters full with quite a buzz. The food is what you would expect at this kind of chain, but we have found it to be the best of this chain we have eaten in!!

Went to Pizza Express in Cheam Village last night for the first time, and the last time. When we arrived (10 of us) it was very quiet, but took ages for the waiter/waitress to even come over and ask about drinks. Then longer to take our food requests. I ordered the brushetta and at almost £5 thought it was going to be great. It wasnt. They must have been very short on ingredients as was very limited on the bread. Next came the pizza. Again, not much on there and tasteless- didnt enjoy at all, and at almost £12 was extremely dissapointed. Some ordered puddings, which were laughable- literally, A piece of brownie which was basically a mouthful and a cold hot chocolate. The puddings ordered said they came with a free hot drink- but you are basically buying the drink as the puddings were minute. I think we should have known better by going in by the size of the spider stuck in the menu window ! Came to £30 for my self and my daughter, and its the last penny i will spend in there again. Even the voucher they give at the end of the night for a pizza for £2 wouldnt swing it for me. Food was bland, tasteless, bare of ingredients and cold. Zizzi is so much nicer and better waiting service. Due to this we didnt pay the optional £20 service charge that was automatically added to the bill.
