Pizza Express in Sevenoaks

Ok, it's only Pizza Express, but we were a group of 14, and the evening could not have been more pleasant. All of the staff were lovely, the food came out in good time and everyone got what they ordered!

We had a lovely dinner, with wonderful service from Geeta , who went above and beyond to help us ! Would definitely come again

I found my experience at pizza express in sevenoaks very good. I found that the manager, named Morgan, was very helpful and friendly and the overall the service exceeded my expectation. The food was especially good with the American Hot made perfectly. The staff were all friendly and the service was very quick.

This is a family favourite in terms of restaurants. We were in the area visiting one of the national trust places and decided to stop here for dinner. It was Sunday late afternoon so parking was not an issue with spaces just across the road from the restaurant. We were seated pretty much straight away except for a family who couldn’t make up their mind about where to eat and pushed ahead of of us and then left the restaurant soon after we were seated! 🙄 Love the pizza here and food arrived quickly and our waiter was friendly. Nothing more we could ask for.

I have been dining at Pizza Express from 1978(Dean St) The pizzas here in Sevenoaks are Pizza Express , so you either like them or you don't but i am rather partial to their Romana offering. What makes this Pizza Express special is the kind & attentive service from Erica and Salvatore.

I was hoping to receive my usual dough all for my thoughts email from Pizza Express to pass on my thanks to our lovely waitress. Geheta (I'm hoping this is the correct spelling) greeted us quickly and with a smile on our arrival and checked our allergens as she seated us. We were presented with the allergen folder and our order was taken soon after with careful attention paid to allergens/intolerances. We were served our drinks quickly and our food was brought soon after. Nothing was too much to ask for and we felt well cared for whilst visiting. She added to our trip away. Thanks so much, we're hoping to be back next year.

Hey! My 11yo daughter and her friends have just had a pizza party at the pizza express in town and they all had a blast! Amazing experience! From the time I spoke to Morgan over the phone arranging a last minute party until the party was over, him and his team were very helpful and in a very cheerful mood which set the tone for the my daughter’s birthday party. Really recommend it! Hassle free! Lovely atmosphere! Delicious food! Good people!

Visited prior to Christmas after a previous positive experience earlier in December, which was more or less flawless from a service and food perspective in terms of expectations. There could not have been a starker contrast between the two visits, the service was distinctly average and haphazard, but the food again met expectations. The underpinning factor of the visit was an ‘apparent’ misunderstanding in the loyalty scheme. We’ve been gold status for over a year and encountered no previous issues including the previous visit to this branch and its seems there was a degree of reluctance to honour all of the discounts, but this was implied as confusion by staff who should be well aware of any nuance and entitlement in the scheme, if not it could be perceived as a lack of professionalism. The encounter when settling the bill left me feeling frustrated and disappointed to the extent that I will not be returning soon. Customers should not be made to feel awkward for using the scheme.

Would have been great if they had delivered the correct order. I paid extra for items that weren't delivered. What was delivered wasn't complete. I now have a pile of Doughballs but no Dips so won't be eating them. Refund takes 24hrs so annoyed

Pizza expresses are always good and this was no different. The service today was particularly exceptional with Salvatore looking after us excellently (he quickly replaced drinks my little one knocked over on the house).

The restaurant itself has always generally delivered a good standard but i must say i don't agree with previous reviews about the manager running it, yesterday evening whilst all was well with our meal and they were clearly busy and short staffed, we witnessed terrible management, berating of junior employees, shouting could be heard.... not sure what had happened but the lady manager seems a tad unhinged and seriously unprofessional in her approach, you don't expect to be enjoying your food whilst someone is being shouted at! i get it its hot and you are busy at times and i guess customers reviews and experience are everything, at what point is shouting at your staff going to better your image, disgraceful behavior from someone clearly not adept at managing people in a busy environment. Pizza Express deploy some people management training at your sevenoaks branch, not a good look!

doughballs were cold and Pizza was not sliced. Tasted great though.

Erica was sublime, attentive and kind you set our table alight. I will deifnelty be back. She’s a 10/10.

Erika was a lovely server made sure that we had everything we need and was very bubbly. She welcomed us straight away and the food was lovely👍🏼

Last minute. Erica. Lovely lady, super quick, delicious food! 10/10! Toilet is super hygienic and clean! Asked a manager about the menu and there were many options. I can’t believe this long list. Recommend the side dish as well. Coming back very soon!

Absolutely spaffing tea with an elequent atmosphere full of life but still at a volume where you can have a good conversation. Erika looked after us and was a brilliant host for the evening. Service was tremendous from the waiter Joe and we had our starters served to us within minutes of ordering them. Would definitely recommend and will definitely be coming back.

The team and particularly our server was totally flexible and happy to accommodate m our various food intolerances. I saw him checking that what we asked for was what we got. He also proactively recommended what we could and couldn’t eat. Also nice sunny spot. It’s pizza express so you know ie what you’re getting but this team went the extra mile.

Had my daughter’s birthday party here for a pizza making party, was very well organised, the staff were helpful and the kids all had a great time, would definitely recommend.

We placed the order with a predicted delivery time. That time passed and the order had not even started being prepped because no delivery driver was assigned. I tried to cancel the order, only to discover that I would apparently still be charged. Not at all happy to finally receive the food over an hour late! Totally unacceptable not to have an option to cancel and get a refund when the delays are this long!

Erica and Gita provided such welcoming service. So quick and welcoming and the food was so good and came very promptly despite being very busy. We will definitely be back!

Food was late! The delivery man walked it to our house from the restaurant so the food was freezing cold! Also paid for garlic butters and they must of put half a tea spoon in each pot! Didn’t have not one bit off warmth at all to any of the food and the dough balls was rock hard

Appalling delivery service . Ordered and quoted 30 to 45 minutes delivery.2 hours later no sign of delivery and rral time tracking constantly moves out delivery time extra 10 minutes. They don't answer their phones. Eventually received notification my order had been cancelled, appalling service from these incompetents. TIp to Pizza Express Sevenoaks: if you cant handle deliveries dont offer the service. Clowns!

Quoted 45 minutes delivery, 2.5 hours later no sign of pizza, delivery time just gets pushed back in 10 minute increments. Absolute joke

Ordered via deliveroo, took them over an hour to "prepare" my food, took the driver 5 minutes to get to me but the food was stone cold and they hadn't even sliced the pizza. It wasn't Deliveroos fault as it looked like 2 drivers went but gave up waiting, the 3rd one got it to me quickly. I was so disappointed as I'd been really looking forward to my food.

this place is awful, waited an age to be sat, poor customer service, sat for 10 minutes until i asked for water as no one had served us. We then watched our water sit on the side of the bar for another five minutes before we decided to walk out- will not be going back!

£30+ for two 9.5 inch 'classic' pizzas with thin crust.

My pizza and dough balls arrived stone cold.I will never be ordering from Pizza Express again!

Morgan and his team helped make our son’s 4th birthday party such a success. Friendly people and excellent service with great food. Kids loved the afternoon. Nothing was too much for them to do and they went the extra mile tonight. Thank you Pizza Express Sevenoaks. We will be back !

I had an amazing experience with my friends here. Firstly, the food was amazing, nothing to fault at all. Secondly, our waiter, Feeri, was brilliant. The whole experience was amazing.

Food was freezing cold and missing items. Will not order from here again or use this app again.

Second time in a row now where I’ve used just eat and the estimated delivery time has been so wrong. It sets the wrong expectations and ruins a night in when food arrives later then what we’re told. You make a plan and have to rearrange because of it. In addition, I received a voucher for 15% off my meal the last time this happened but the voucher lasted a week and had expired, thanks for nothing. Seriously guys, an intended kind gesture has now annoyed me even more because it was a . So anyway

Food was very nice, halloumi bites slightly underdone. Service was slow even though knowing how busy they were. Waitress was most organised, we felt the staff could’ve done with more support from the manager. Overall good food, slow service and untidy floors.

Lovely service and Erica recommended the new Christmas pizza which was delicious. The service was very quick and I often see Erica when I am here and she is always very friendly.

This is our third visit here, and Erika and the gentleman server made us feel most welcome. The place was quite quiet, which was nice. Drinks served quickly and the food was tasty and hot. Overall a pleasant time was had. Will always go again whenever in Sevenoaks. Michael & Tracy 👍

Were rushed at the end of our meal, staff acted like they didn’t want us to be there the whole time but tried to clear our plates while we were mid mouthful and hadn’t finished. Cleared one plate that was finished and not the other. Wasn’t offered dessert menus, was brought the bill without asking, was asked to pay without prompting, all within opening hours felt like we would have had a much nicer experience in another restaurant not have our night cut short. Chicken on the pizza was tasteless and hard, could tell had been frozen and reheated but was cold.

Firstly my food was cold, and i have had to reheat it which has dried it out! secondly i am missing half my order, i ordered 8 dough balls and two brownies and they have not come with my order! i want a refund

Erika quickly showed us to a nice table even though they were very busy, what with half term. They maybe could do with one more member of staff but service was still good. Salvatore was or very capable waiter, and made a lovely ice cream. A fantastic time was had by me & my Tracy🙂

A very friendly and professional service, super-delicious food. Erika, the shift manager, sorted out our pizzas quickly although they were busy. The waiters, Salvatore and Isabell were really nice, we had a good chat, and all the staff were lovely and smiley. The restaurant was well-organised and clean, we had a really great time. I highly recommend this restaurant, we'll definitely come back.

The best team ever, Erika (manager) is so sweet and friendly, service is above 5*. The restaurant was so busy, yet we were seen immediately. Food came in 5 mins. Really brilliant hospitality. First time for a year in a Pizza Express, not impressed. Classic base much thinner and wetter than they used to be. Very expensive for what it was. Drinks a rip off. App did not work as it should.

I visited with my children, we come here regularly. It’s always a nice surprise to see Robert on shift. Erika is there most of the time, she is always so helpful, she knows me by name and my children too. She takes the time to talk to them about school & their activities. Today I really wanted a BBQ pizza, the leggera wasn’t on menu but she sorted it out for me. Two weeks ago we also saw her in caterham covering a shift! Was so lovely to see her there as well. We will always come back if Erika and Robert are there ☺️

We had a really lovely experience in Pizza Express on Wednesday evening. You can never go wrong with a P Express pizza but after our previous visit where the toppings were rather sparse I was a little apprehensive. Tom and James looked after the 3 of us all evening and we had a really nice meal and evening. Their customer service was faultless and both the chaps were attentive. Will definitely be back on a Wednesday to see Tom and James.

Called in on a busy Friday evening with our two small grandchildren made to feel very welcome and the staff couldn’t do enough for us, food was great including the two small pizzas made by the children. Thanks to all the staff you made our evening out something very special.

The service is incredibly slow. The restaurant had about 3 tables occupied at the time we arrived.. it took almost 5 minutes to even be acknowledged. 5 minutes to wait is absolutely fine if you have been acknowledged upon arrival.. but to wait to even be spoken to was a bit much, considering the restaurant was basically empty. This same slow service carried on throughout the meal.. at one point we even had to politely signal to the chef to see if he could get a waiters attention. I absolutely cannot stress enough, the lack of professionalism and rudeness of the female manager. There was a clear issue with one of the main courses, and so we politely spoke to her to see if this could be rectified.. and instead of giving us a swift and professional resolution … she was absolutely, unbelievably rude. The glaring, the argumentative responses, the eye rolling.. the talking back at me… the storming around the restaurant … was shocking. The male waiter however was really lovely and helpful so we appreciated his service, even if a little slow.

I had lunch here with my friend at 12pm. The restaurant was quite empty bar two other customers. The manager I presumed was very attentive which was a good start. I ordered the melanzane which I’ve had several times before at other pizza Expresses which I’ve enjoyed. When my lunch had arrived it was burnt on top which wasn’t an issue, however when I cut into the meal it was stuck to the bottom, dry and the aubergine was not cooked, it was tough and raw without any taste! I only had less than a third. The manager / waitress didn’t not come back to ask during our meal to check if everything was alright. Only when we were ready to pay did she return and ask. I told her I didn’t like it as it was burnt and not cooked. She said this was their new recipe and that was how it should taste. I had said that I’ve had this dish many times before and this wasn’t the same. She then said that if I didn’t like it, I shouldn’t order it next time! There was no apology, no gesture of goodwill to make it right be that offering another meal or a discount on the bill. Just a simple don’t order it again. Terrible customer service, I will not be returning and now I’m out of pocket.

We've always had a good experience dining here. Erika and her team are lovely and they always remember my daughter's name. I love the Bosco salad personally but they also have gluten free options for pasta and pizza which I appreciate.

I spoke to the manager and asked for no cheese on My pizza due to a sever allergy and it comes with cheese on

Booked a table for 6.15 on a Sunday evening. Restaurant was not busy and I counted at least 5 waiting staff. Despite turning up on time we stood waiting by the door for 10 minutes. No one else was waiting. The staff, who had clearly clocked us, loitered in the corridor chatting and completely ignored us. We were eventually shown to a table in the conservatory next to a table of kids, even though we were all adults. We swiftly departed and went two doors up the road to Wagamamas where we were greeted immediately by friendly and efficient staff. It's a no brainer.

The food is great. The staff go out of their way for children, creating a homely atmosphere. Love this place.

We went for lunch today (21st Aug 2023). One lady working to cover the whole restaurant. She was clearly stressed and not coping. It took 10 mins to get the menus, another 15 to place our orders and we had to ask for water on the table. We were brought a plate of dough balls that we hadn't ordered but let it go. When we asked for parmesan and a spoon, the lady lifted her arms up in exasperation, and said "I am SO busy!" After that she avoided our table and any eye contact with us when walking past. We had to stand and find her to order the two desserts for the children's meals. We asked for the bill at the same time, and when we paid by card the amount charged was more than on the bill. As we left, we asked why we had been charged more. She went bright red and said that she had forgotten the two children's desserts on the bill so added them afterwards. There was no apology but just the comment "Well, someone has to pay !" We were shocked at the lack of courtesy and respect. We understand that she was very stressed and that the restaurant should have had more than one person dealing with all the guests, but there was absolutely no excuse for her rudeness. Interestingly, we overheard two other nearby tables discussing the situation too. We will be very interested to hear back from the management about the lack of staff and appalling service.

Erika, duty manager and Morgan, general manager both very helpful for us. Helped download the app and sorted the bill for us. Excellent service and excellent food. Very clean, tidy & relaxing restaurant. Chef was very fast, good arrived quickly. Waitress was really helpful too. I would totally recommend and will be back soon.

It was a great experience. Went for my son's 18th birthday and everything was perfect. From the starters to the pizzas to the desserts. Lola was a great host and gave us some brilliant tips - thank you Lola!

Appreciate its a Sunday just after the lunchtime rush, however waited to be seated for an uncomfortable five to ten minutes. Then waited approx 35 mins for our starters. Staff sat at back table with feet up on the opposite chairs whilst scrolling on their phone. Not a good look. Especially when there are numerous tables that need clearing of left over food etc. Toilets were not what I expect to see in the middle of the day. I hope the liquid about a quarter of an inch deep across the whole of the floor was only water. Given 20 % reduction on bill without any complaint from us so fair play the staff knew we had been waiting a long time to eat. I don’t think you should be seating families if you don’t have the capacity or staff to provide a proper clean environment and acceptable service. Will not be using this Pizza Express again which is a real shame .Sorry for the bad review but it needs to be sorted.

My husband, daughter and I enjoyed a lovely meal this evening for my birthday. Salvatore our waiter was brilliant and very attentive. His customer service was amazing and also the manager Erika was also a pleasure to meet! Our drinks and food were served in good time and was also delicious (I highly recommend the cheesy dough balls!) Overall, we had a really lovely experience and shall certainly return and recommend!

Always good service and food at this restaurant. Our first choice when meeting up with family members or friends that have food allergies.

Lovely food let down but the worst service ever! After asking the same person for coffee twice we had to leave without.
