Pizza Express in Liverpool

We were served by Finn who was amazing. We have 3 children and the youngest has a dairy allergy as well as my wife and he was so calming and helpful with us. He even came back after taking our order to double check a menu item for allergies which is perfect service. The food was delicious and I would recommend the anchovy bruschetta for starters. Overall we had the best food and were very well looked after. Even with it being the 23rd December didn't feel as if things were rushed at all. Thanks very much to Finn, Charlotte and the whole team at Pizza Express and Merry Xmas. We will see you again next year

Debo decir que me impresionó mucho la comida, las pizzas eran todas encantadoras, delgadas y crujientes y muy sabrosas. Los niños compartieron una comida infantil que incluía bolas de masa con salsa, pizza, postre y una bebida, así que eso cayó bien. El café también era increíble, mejor que Costa o Starbucks! Mi única crítica es que los baños de caballeros estaban sucios, el baño estaba muy sucio y las esquinas del piso parecían haber sido limpiadas por un tiempo. Esto sí me hace preguntarme sobre la limpieza de las áreas no accesibles por el público aunque la zona de cocina está dentro del restaurante y se veía limpia

Fantastic service during our visit after the Liverpool Santa Fun Run. Excellent service especially from Nadia whose attention to detail, friendly and professional service is a credit to her industry. Outstanding.

Dined here last Tuesday after a conference. Was very busy but we were seated promptly and no delay with food. Food was very good. Also our waitress, a very pleasant girl from Belfast couldn't have been more helpful.

Wow. DO NOT BOTHER. Absolutely dreadful. Curled up salad & luke warm food.. To be fair the manager came over to apologize. Serving staff seemed embraced. Chefs seemed amused. Please go somewhere & don't ruin your evening with a meal here.

My name's Netty and I visited here with a large family group on the Santa Dash Sunday.The service was impeccable.We were shown to our table which was laid already for us and our server Nadia was there straight away taking drinks orders and bringing our water over.She got all our orders and adds on correct and the food , considering it was a busy time , came much quicker than expected and was absolutely delicious.The range on the new menu is fab and they serve the best olives I have eaten.I had Mac N cheese and a salad and it was delicious and portions very generous.We had no complaints at all and really enjoyed our time at the restaurant.Staff were happy and welcoming and Nadia was a fab server, very friendly and approachable and happy to help. Considering it was going to be a busy day due to the event we were really impressed with our visit.Nothing to complain about at all.The coffee was delicious...I believe the cocktails , prosecco and beers were good and reasonably priced.Definitly would go back again.PE should be proud of this restaurant..fab location , fab staff and fab food..couldnt ask for more.Well done PE ..exceeded all my expectations again 👏👏👏

The base split, there was hardly any filling and it was cool. This was the poorest order I have ever had from this delivery company. I eat 3 slices and couldn't take any more, very disappointing and a waste of money.

We visited this afternoon after a day of shopping and were greeted straight away by Olivia, who was super friendly and brilliant with our daughter. Olivia continued to look after us throughout our dinner, and nothing was too much trouble! Food was great too! 🤩

I visited here with my husband and two friends.We arrived early and before our friends but the lovely Charlotte took us to our table and we ordered olives and drinks whilst waiting.The menu has been revamped and has a lot of my favourites including Mac n Cheese...and what a dish it was...very traditional..not messed about with and was just delicious.The olives where the tastiest my husband and I had had in ages.All out food was served freshly cooked and delicious.Our waitress was very friendly and helpful and we never felt rushed.We had some drinks also and I can highly recommend the Pomegranate Margarita !!! The food and drinks bill was very very reasonable considering the location of this restaurant in such a prime position.All in all a really enjoyable visit and I highly recommend you to go .I can't recall our waitresses name but we tipped her well and she deserved it .Charlotte the door hostess was super friendly smiley and had a no problem attitude.We really appreciated the warm welcome especially arriving so early too.Fab place fab staff fab food

Came with family for a quick tea, we had delicious food with quick service and a great atmosphere. We'll be back soon.

Visité aquí con mi marido y dos amigos. Llegamos temprano y antes que nuestros amigos, pero la encantadora Charlotte nos llevó a nuestra mesa y pedimos aceitunas y pensamientos mientras esperamos. El menú ha sido renovado y tiene muchos de mis favoritos, incluyendo Mac n Cheese ... y lo que era un plato ... muy tradicional . . no se metió con y era simplemente delicioso. Las aceitunas donde más sabrosas habíamos tenido mi marido y yo en siglos. La comida fue servida recién cocinada y deliciosa. Nuestra camarera era muy amable y servicial y nunca nos sentimos apresurados. Tomamos algunas bebidas también y puedo recomendar encarecidamente la Margarita de Granada! La factura de comida y bebidas era muy muy razonable teniendo en cuenta la ubicación de este restaurante en una posición tan privilegiada. En general, una visita muy agradable y recomiendo encarecidamente que vaya. No puedo recordar el nombre de nuestras camareras, pero le dimos una buena propina y se lo merecía. Charlotte la anfitriona de la puerta era súper amable sonriente y tenía una actitud sin problemas. The food was very nice, but I was especially amazed by how kind all the staff was! We couldn't get the full discount because we didn't have a UK phone to register, but the way the nice waiter smiled and explained compensated any trouble 😊. Well done.

Great evening visit on a super bustling Saturday night. Pizzas were really tasty and arrived quickly, and the cheesecake was surprisingly nice too. Fantastic service from Andy and the rest of the team - you can't go wrong with Pizza Express.

Cheese Balls were good, Lasagne cold in the middle so sent it back. It came back like a bubbling bowl of Lava! Staff were great, but Chef needs to up the game a bit.

Visited today for lunch with a couple of friends. They opted for pizza which was not bad. I first ordered the lasagne which was dreadful it was like eating baby food. The lovely waitress swapped it for me to chicken parmagana which was slightly better but still terrible but I was so hungry I forced it down. I didn't opt for a pizza as I was having that later in the evening. Like my friends said it's pizza express stick to what they do best. The bill was so expensive for what we had. This has put me off ever venturing in a pizza express again overpriced school dinners food. So many better places around to eat and not even sure they do pizza good anymore. Very disappointed

Me and my partner had a lovely experience at pizza express Albert docks tonight. Our servers were very happy to help and went above and beyond to make the experience a very lovely ome. Overhead the manager having to deal with very rude customers which she did with such grace. Would definitely come back here!

Came to PE on a short trip to Liverpool from Ireland. I was left waiting at the door without acknowledgment for about 2 minutes despite the waiter taking a payment from a table… right beside the door. Food was delicious, however I had to wait more than 15 minutes for my mains to be cleared and offered desserts despite there being only 3 other tables in the restaurant with two waiters on. There was another waitress working who avoided eye contact at all times and was impossible to catch her attention, she happily reset some tables and seemed to be completely indifferent to what was going on - probably because I was not in her section. This waitress was cleaning tables, sweeping the floor, then lifting up the side of a pizza to put a slicer under it - without washing hands in between. She could have just used the slicer to lift up the pizza without touching it. Two waiters continued chatting at the tills before eventually coming to clear my table. My coffee was awful, espresso tasted burned and lacked a crema. A really great visit in terms food but really poor on the service front - probably wouldn’t return to this PE.

Service was amazing. The waitress was very friendly and helpful, she also told us about the local area and made excellent recommendations. The food was fabulous and we all really enjoyed eating at the restaurant.

Came here with my boyfriend for a meal, service was great, staff were great and my boyfriend’s pizza was great. My dish unfortunately wasn’t the best, I’d ordered the tomato and prawn pasta which only tasted like parsley, every mouthful was parsley and it wasn’t enjoyable.

Great place for a family lunch. Kids eat free under 12 (mid August) downloaded the app and got free doughballs for the adults x 2. Good tasty sized pizzas. 3 adult meals, 4 drinks and kids meal for £60..brillant price.. Staff were attentive and very friendly. Will definitely return again..

Staff very polite even though we didn't realise last orders were 21:45hrs but when told there was 7 of us very willing to sit us down so no problem, food was very nice Just want to make people aware though that there is an "optional" service charge of 12.5% , I didn't realise this until I paid on card and left, looked at the receipt the next day, they had charged me over £17.00 I had already left a £10 tip for the kind service so I think it was a little underhanded and it should've been pointed out before hand, so just be aware.

Waited around 10 minutes at the door when the place was half full at the most, without anybody welcoming us. After that we were told it’d be 5 to 10 minutes more to get a table when it was clearly not busy.

This isn't a food review but a staff member review. I honestly can't thank Siobhan enough, who rushed out to help us when my mum fell up the step outside. I'm sorry that I didn't get back to thank you in person but I'm back in NZ. Pizza express is so lucky to have such a kind and caring person working there. Siobhan you are a star.

Terrible service at the entrance, they simply asked me to leave the restaurant, I felt humiliated. What was supposed to be a romantic night ended with a tragic ending.

Touring Europe with my little kids , stopped to find some food after the Ferris wheel ride. The person at the door refused to provide any seating .He reasoned there is 1.5 hour wait for an half empty restaurant. The kids were hungry and pleaded to give a tables for atleast the kids and an adult but he said the food is going to a long time . Almost felt like we were being screened for dark skin. Speaking to us like retards while we are English speakers from Canada. Sorry Liverpool, you have won lowest in customer service in all Europe.

We were a party of 14 we booked a table before our concert at the arena. We arrived a little late but was not am issue...Excellent location...real friendly staff very attentive...the place was busy but we were not hassled to leave or made to rush. Food all came out together everyone was pleased with their choices...excellent service excellent food highly recommend...Thank You very much.

Usually this restaurant has good service but today it was awful if not beyond terrible. We waited 20 minutes to be seated after not being acknowledged. Then waited another 20-30 minutes to put our order in baring in mind we had asked three times if we could order and again were ignored. I would completely understand if the restaurant was busy but in this case it was not at all.

The restaurant is generally good, the pizza is not delicious, the employee has a grimace, and they don't cut the pizza

Delicious pizzas, lasagna, excellent service

I was turned back because they don’t they ran out of hot water 8:52pm on the 24th June 2024 . This has to be the weakest excuse I have ever received from a waiter not wanting to serve people of colour. The fun fact is that 2 people were let in right after my family and I were turned back. One more thing the waiter responded to us in a very condescending manner.

We Visited on the 30th of May 2024. It was my husbands Birthday and we had just been to the Beatles Story across the road. We had not booked but that was no problem the Manager greeted us and fit us in. The Manager on that day was Amazing!! She found out it was my husbands birthday and made him feel very special. The staff were amazing and could not do enough for us. The food was great too. I would highly recommend this Pizza Express. It was an amazing experience and if we are in Liverpool again we will definitely be visiting again.

Pizza Express has been our family's favourite restaurant for over two decades. This was the first time we'd visited this restaurant in Liverpool and it was a lovely experience. The pizzas were as we expected, service was great as well as the location (right next to the M&S arena) 🙂

We went there at lunch time as a casual family meal. The restaurant wasn't so busy and the service was quick, but special mention to the waitress, she was very nice and professional. We like this company as we can enjoy so many offers and discounts being gold members.

Visited as needed somewhere quick to have a meal. No issues with getting a table in the nice outside area of the restaurant. Didn’t get the servers name but an extremely friendly and attentive gentleman. Pizza was very nice - had the American hottest, as to be expected and arrived quickly. I am told the garlic prawn also very good! Would return again if in the area.

Really enjoyed our meal can not fault the service. Friendly, polite, competent and attentive, the complete opposite to their Liverpool One branch. Who rolled their eyes when asked if any pepper , did not ask if we would like moe drinks or a dessert or if everything was ok. When given the bill and we asked for a minute while we got our money out , the reply was ..whats up . So we know which one we will be going back to.

We came on a wet Thursday lunchtime to escape the rain and had a fantastic experience. Lovely staff, great food and a relaxing atmosphere. Pizza was one of the best we’ve had and the wine was great too! Thank you so much, we’ll definitely be back when we next visit Liverpool 😃

We arrived on a wet and windy cold Thursday night, thinking would be busy as the Foot and Ankle show was in town (not what you think it is), arrive to an empty restaurant, had a complete pick of the seats and our server was very attentive and nice we were served very quickly and ordered our food that arrived, in true Pizza Express style, it was tasty and nice. The restaurant got a few more people in, the atmosphere was nice and relaxed. The best part is the great Pizza Express offers. Will visit again before the next voucher expires.

Spur of the moment decision to go for lunch. It was very good. With rewards we got 2 for 1 pizzas.

The restaurant is amazing, dough balls were fabulous ! I never eat such a good thing in a restaurant, pesto and garlic butter were so fresh and delicious, full of flavour. Rebecca was our waitress she was so lovely, and very friendly, always somewhere near by if we needed any help or to answer any question. We are very impressed with her service, and with the rest of the staff and with quality of food and atmosphere in restaurant.

Ordered my food at 18:40, turned up cold at 19:50. Can’t knock the quality of food but I prefer it hot! Had this issue last time I used them but thought I’d try again. My advice, go to the restaurant.

We visited the restaurant to celebrate a birthday and had booked a pizza party for the children. The staff were so helpful the service given was amazing throughout our time in the restaurant. The food came out all together considering it was a large party all pipping hot and was delicious. A special mention to the Manager who hosted the pizza party great interaction and communication with all the children they were fully engaged and loved every second of it. I’m pretty sure we’ll be returning again after the great experience and service we received this evening by all the staff and delicious food.

Over on the docks, great place out of the centre of town. It's a Pizza Express so you know what you get but location gives this a little edge. Worth the stroll.
