Went to are favourite place again service was amazing like always served by lovely lad called Joe and Jason the Manager we had a laugh and got well looked after food wad amazing and service 2 pizza and spaghetti bolognese and the cheesecake was to die for love this place

Manny is the best thing about this place—honestly, he’s the reason the reviews aren’t below three stars. Twice now, I’ve been seated by another server who then completely forgot about us for 30 minutes. No drinks, no orders taken, just left waiting while others who arrived later were already getting their food. But thankfully, Manny came to the rescue both times, making sure we were finally taken care of. The food is alright, but without him, the service would be a disaster.

Writing this review as hopefully a wake up call to the Zizzi chain. This was my first, and last, time at any Zizzi. The poor hostess/waitress seemed like the only member of staff working front of house and still managed to smile and try to offer decent service. I felt so bad for her. The food was absolutely horrendous. Like it was taken out of the freezer and reheated. The only reason I found myself there was because my 9 year old niece likes the food. Which says all you need to know about the standard. The restaurant itself was also in a poor state with the waitress having to put napkins under table legs for the couple next to us, and half of the toilets were out of service. Another couple left the restaurant shortly after sitting down because I think they sensed the way the evening would go if they stayed. I was jealous. Please do not spend your money here. I felt robbed when I left.

Me and my partner came here for a meal in our short stay in Liverpool we’d both ordered a chorizo pasta carbonara when brought to the table one was bone dry and the other was swimming was no taste to it whatsoever when it came to taking the bill we’d to sit for approximately 20 minutes before we had to call someone over to get the bill we paid 50 pound for a meal that we never ate and the staff asked everyone in the restaurant expect us was there meal okay overall a very poor experience would not recommend as I would put the meal on the floor for my dog

Sadly the food was a let down for us tonight. Our fries were served first, lukewarm at best. 2 out of 3 of the calzones we ordered were also not as hot as we'd have liked. We asked for our bill at 6pm, it's now 18 minutes past 6, we've still not received it.

Absolutely horrendous service and food, the manager (blonde haired woman) threw our menus on a table and continued to chat to her mate while there was a queue of people waiting to be seated, while we waiting about 20 minutes to be served we realised (by her ‘kindly’ telling another table) you need to order through the app, food came and it was the worst food I have ever been served in a restaurant my spaghetti bolognaise wasn’t even spaghetti bolognaise, it was cold linguini pasta with what tasted like watery tinned tomatoes, my partner ordered prawn linguini which was the exact same dish as mine but with prawns thrown into it, the whole place was a disorganised mess, peoples meals coming out burnt, people waiting on food whilst one person on the table had their food, the attitude of the manager in particular was horrendous, i don’t know how the place is still running. Even had to wait nearly 15 mins to pay after trying to go up to the bar and pay then being sent back to our seats.

Well, been to lots of zizzi's and they all very similar. Food normally good and keen price. The problem here is the awful service, currently over 90 minutes in and still only half way through meal, food very very average this time also. Won't be rushing back unfortunately

Worst experience ever after waiting for an hour got my ordered cancelled, while they switched drivers several times, one even asked for my adress and didn't make it. The level of incompetence is incomprehensible!

Came to Zizzi for are annual Christmas meal after shopping. Very busy restaurant, hostess wasn't the most pleasant to be greeted by, food was awful. Ordered lasagna but only got half, Mac and cheese was just Mac. Wouldn't recommend 😔.

The restaurant was very busy but we were shown to our booked table even though we were 20 minutes early. We were allowed to take our time ordering but were never ignored. My wife had a cocktail which was poured at the table by Elie, a very pleasant and efficient member of staff. Our food was delivered promptly and was well cooked. Again, Bella was pleasant and attentive and we felt well looked after.

Never order from there! Online aways missing stuff ! Aways ! And the food that comes is burnt, not eatable and probably poison !

Had a server called manny or Manuel and he was fantastic. Incredibly professional and made the experience that much better.

Visited last weekend, had a picante pizza and it was lovely. The girls who served me were fantastic. Alicia and Evie were very attentive and polite. The young manager was amazing too, she made time for customers even when rushing around. Seemed like the workers all had a lovely attitude to one another. Would recommend.

When i came it was very busy and I still received amazing service. I ordered carbonara and it was really good, the best part about it was definitely the manager paige. You can just tell she loves her job and genuinely cares about the customers she is serving. Taking the time out to check up on us even when the restaurant was packed shows what a great manager she is. Hats off to you paige ! your amazing

Went for family meal,staff were very knowledgeable.Laura who is the manager served my wife who is gluten free and was excellent with her information of what she could have.staff were very helpful and friendly,special mention to Joseph our server who was so polite and well mannered.Food was excellent and quickly served,all in all an excellent occasion.👏👏👏

Went to zizzi and told the waiter Joe I had coeliac disease and what would he suggest I have. This young man was extremely knowledgeable about coaelic disease and recommended the meatballs and risotto. The manager Laura brought over my dish which was clearly labelled GF. Food was delicious and the staff really attentive. Would recommend this restaurant for service and good food.

Came with my partner and 2 kids and Manny was the man! He was very helpful with everything and gave us a fantastic amazing dining experience! Definitely will come back again and recommend to anyone ❤️

Pasta carbonara was average, as was the pepperoni and wagyu pizza. The toilets should urgently be cleaned more frequently and more intensively. Service courteous and quick

The service was great Alicia looked after us and was friendly and really good fun she made the visit very enjoyable. The food was excellent and served piping hot just as I like it . The only negative, we sat in the window which was great are choice but the lighting cable above are table was thick with dark grey dust that had come from the A/C unit it together with the unclean cutlery I feel the place could do with a bit of a clean

Don’t bother dark, cold and told to order our food on the app that didn’t work sat there ages and ages , staff ended up taking our order and processing it, in the end just take the order and stop wasting time, food expensive and basic , will never return, the girls were lovely working let them take take the orders please, go else where hitls you are wasted there

Quality of food did not match the price paid

Cafe calling itself a restaurant, decoration terrible, food bland , tomato garlic bread consisted of garlic bread and a bowl of tomato sauce for example . No flavour to any of the food and a piece of metal found in my daughter's food who has a serious nut allergy . Thank god it was metal not nuts eh . Offered to knock the price of some pasta off .£160 I will never get back . Complete waste of money, don't bother .

We have always had lovely meals at this place, that’s why we always come back. We visited again on Saturday evening and the service was the worst we have ever experienced. The restaurant wasn’t busy when we arrived but the staff were not attentive at all. Didn’t offer drinks when ours had been empty for quite a while, when our main came we asked for some salt and pepper, the waiter just brought pepper but no salt and rushed away again so I went and got the salt myself as couldn’t get anybody’s attention. What I didn’t know was this salt lid was broken and emptied the whole pot all over my meal (which looked amazing before it was completely ruined). I went to tell the waitress and before I got chance to finish she asked “oh has the lid come off again?” So they were aware there was a problem with this salt pot but still left it out for people to use 🙈 She said she will bring me another meal as it was now inedible. When my dish finally came back (crispy prosciutto carbonara) it looked completely different to the first time it came out, no crispy prosciutto, herbs, cheese or crispy bits on top like the first time and I didn’t have a chance to eat any of the first dish, the second dish was just a very dry pasta with a little bit of soft cheese and pancetta threw in. This was so disappointing compared to how good the first dish looked, it was like “this is what you could have had”. No apologies for any of this that happened and witnessed one waitress picking something out of her teeth with her nails whilst working. Really disappointed this time and it’s put us off returning in future.

Great food, awful service. Went for a meal on Saturday night and tried to order via their app which wasn’t working, the waitress (Hannah K?)came over and I told her the app wasn’t working and she said ‘just try again’ which I did but it still didn’t work, caught the eye of another young chap that worked there and he said he’d get the waitress back over to take our order, she eventually came over and took our order and the food came out quickly and was really nice. After we finished the main she came over and asked if she wanted to bring out my dessert, I replied actually I’m too full is it ok if I can get it on a takeout box ‘yes no problem, I’ll go get that for you’ she replied. A good 30-40 minutes when by and the desert never came, granted she was serving a couple of other tables at the same time but she could see we were sat there waiting. At no point were we asked if everything was ok with the food or if we needed any more drinks etc. eventually I gave up on the dessert ever coming and just asked for the bill. I have been to over branches of zizzi and the service has always been great, unfortunately not at this one.

Fantastic food, calzone was out of this world. The service was undeniably the best I have received in Liverpool one, our waiter Billy who waited on us hand and foot as well as the manager Laura checking in to see if everything was alright and if we required anything more. All around great experience would 100% recommend to anyone, by yourself, a couple and families. 5* from me!!

El servicio estaba bien y las camareras eran agradables. La comida sin embargo era de calidad inferior. Comí espagueti pomonara que era insípido y acuoso y parecía poco apetitoso. Mi compañero tenía lasaña de “cinco capas” que estaba sobrecocida y carecía de relleno. Apenas cubrió el fondo del plato. La relación calidad-precio en general fue terrible.

Decided to go here for some lunch while shopping and was looking forward to it but was very disappointed by the food. We got there to be told that the dessert on the set menu was out of stock but they did sort us out with another but it's not what we wanted really. Starters, brucheta wasn't what I was expecting as bread wasn't what you usually get with this starter and was really hard and only got one little piece of onion, the tomatoes were ok and garlic bread was really dry and no garlic. Spag bol was ok nothing special and pepperoni pizza tasted not very nice. The desserts were nice so that was good and the service was good and staff friendly and helpful. The restaurant could do with a clean as splatters of muck on walls, very surprised as thought it would of been much better standard with it being in Liverpool one. Unfortunately won't be returning such a shame😕

Absolutely brilliant time had for a shared birthday with my girlfriend and I. Our waitress Evie went above and beyond to make our day really special, even getting a card for us both. We really appreciated it. It was a brilliant end to a great day.

Delicious food, terrible service, extremely slow. We booked for 8:15 pm, we only managed to sit down after half an hour of waiting and we only actually got to eat the starters after an hour. It was already past 10:30 pm when we finished, it took so long. Unfortunately the service ruined the experience. The starter was very tasty, the main course was tasteless.

Excellent meal. The restaurant was down by 2 chefs but the staff still managed to be so attentive and kept my little boy entertained with crayons and colouring. Even with the wait for food then staff kept checking in to make sure we were okay waiting and brought pasta crisps to keep us going.

The restaurant was a disorganised disaster. We arrived for our booking at 6pm just to be held at the cold and drafty door for 10 minutes because they had no staff to take us to our seats. When they finally invited us in to be seated, they warned us they had hardly any items from the menu left despite it being only 6pm when generally dinner guests start to arrive. I enquired about a specific chicken meal which they confirmed at the door they definitely still had. We decided to proceed with the booking on the basis that they had the meal, in addition we ordered drinks and sides. After our drinks had arrived they returned to tell us they actually did not have the chicken meal, which I specifically selected due to my dietary requirements. They offered a workaround, which we accepted out of desperation at this point as we had been served our drinks and appreciate the staff were trying their best under the circumstances. However what arrived was below par. The breaded chicken (replacement for baked) was soggy and luke warm, the potatoes were plain boiled with no flavour or seasoning, the tomato and spicy nduja sauce was almost non-existent on the plate. I thought nothing could go wrong with my side of green beans and kale but soon realised most of the vegetables in the bowl were charred so much they were, in fact, completely burnt (and tasted so!). The entire experience left a bitter taste in my mouth. Other customers were also visibly annoyed with the situation. To top it all off, none of the staff bothered to enforce closure of the second set of entrance doors, which normally prevents cold air from coming, so it was uncomfortably cold in our seat and I even heard other guests complaining about it between themselves. A truly shameful service and a waste of money.

Absolute disaster of an evening, we had a table booked for four adults and one child, place was absolutely packed which is obviously standard for a Saturday. The man who showed us to our table was lovely, bit of a wait in ordering but only because they were clearly understaffed (one waitress doing everything on the first floor). Our food started arriving an hour after we were booked in, we had only received 3 out of 5 drinks ordered also at this point, first meal was not what was ordered but a different chicken dish but we thought these things happen, no worries, we were happy just to go with it then the next meal arrived and was not as described with raw potato’s. The next meal arrived and was minus the chicken on the pasta. This was brought to the attention of the waitress who took the meal away. Five minutes later another meal arrived for my daughter but not with the side ordered to go with it. Five minutes after that another meal arrived (pizza this time) but with a huge hole in the dough so not a full pizza and we were still waiting on the sides and the return of the other dish… Other tables around us had also started complaining at this point. We gave up, asked for the bill for our drinks and my daughters dish and paid and left. Nearly 40 quid for drinks and one person fed with no apologies or offer of to knock the drinks off the bill for a terrible experience. If the kitchen can’t cope with a large amount of orders then simply stop taking orders. Complete shit show. Never again.

Worst organised restaurant I think I have ever eaten in! Ages to be seated despite having reservation. Food took over an hour for starters and food and drinks came out in batches. Children main meals came out 20 mins after adults. Only half of drinks arrived and had to be chased twice and pizza cold

Terrible service. We booked for 6.30, starters came at 7.45, mains came at 8.30 in two parts. Drinks came slowly. Very disorganised. Some of the food cold.

We came in around 2pm didn't seem to be many staff. One of the girls was so kind. The food was lovely. Although my partner expected a larger portion of the lasagna. Also the side of fries we got seemed small. I had starters as im a vegetarian and i tend to order them instead of mains. We had to wait inbetween being seated and ordering for a while. I ordered a second glass of wine but cancelled as it took a while and we decided to leave. I feel with more staff it would be great. We went to the Trafford centre zizzis which was amazing. I would return to the l1 zizzis. The food is lovely and hot on arrival.

Our recent visit to Zizzi in L1 was unfortunately far from what we’d hoped, especially with kids in tow. We chose the restaurant partly because of their advertised "kids eat free" deal, which we were told would apply to the set menu. However, when the bill arrived, we discovered it didn’t – despite being reassured it would. The service throughout was lackluster and disorganised. Our meals arrived in a staggered manner, leaving us awkwardly waiting. Our starters were even swapped without notice; we only realised when they arrived and had to send them back, only to be told they didn’t have the original items available. The kids’ meals also came out incorrect, adding more frustration. To top it off, our dessert was changed without any explanation. We ordered the Zillionaire Fudge Cake but received a honeycomb cake instead. By that point, we were so fed up with the repeated issues and lack of support that we just gave up, paid, and left. It was clear the staff were struggling, and the absence of management support made the experience feel chaotic. Overall, the lack of communication, service timing issues, and non-adherence to advertised promotions left us thoroughly disappointed in what was meant to be a family outing. Improvements are definitely needed.

We went a family girls lunch. It was very quiet when we arrived but full when we left. The service remained great throughout our stay. Friendly and attentive. Food was great too!

We came here for the first time last night. We were greeted by a lovely lady called Laura. She explained to us that we chose a great day as it was new menu day. Now my husband is a fussy eater well she went through every possible dish with him like it was no trouble at all! Then she kept checking on us all throughout nothing was too much trouble. She made our evening! We will definitely be back because of her.
