Sat inside. Olives starter. Ordered Sea Bass and King Prawn Linguine main courses. Sea bass meal quality far inferior to previous visits to Zizzi restaurants. The main doors were open and no air conditioning on. We were haunted by houseflies throughout the meal. Decided to not look at dessert and move on. Went to pay cash and was superciliously told that they don't keep cash and will not accept it, unless it is exactly the right money. No signage or mention of this on the way in! I informed the server that we won't be returning if they no longer accept cash . If everyone goes digital what happens to the starving on the streets when you can't drop them a quid because cash becomes useless? My main regret is leaving the recommended 10% tip. We won't be going back.

Fantastic food and service, fantastic customer service, highly recommend.

Waited nearly an hour for the food to arrive. No apologies from staff. When food did arrive it was ok. Nothing special. Wish I'd have read the reviews before booking.

I went on Saturday the 27th July 2024 front of house staff and the restaurant manager can't fault them, kitchen staff are a massive discredit to the rest of them, no go very slow and no professionalism. As I say I can't fault the restaurant shift manager or the front of house who are working there backsides off but, my advise be prepared to wait because the kitchen staff and incredibly slow. But I can't criticise the whole restaurant kitchen awful the rest of the staff a credit.

Was a fantastic starter main meal and we took a desert home with us that was very nice too, was nice and quiet atmosphere, Fantastic staff and service from Ash, Billy and Al definitely will be going back again, we got some spicy Crisps twirls for free before the meal that where very taste wife ask could she have some more which they did with out a fuss, Fantastic value for money great meal thank you Zizzi

I arrived at around 8pm. I was greeted by Billy who was pleasant and polite. He run us through the menu highlighting the best dishes. He informed us of any missing items due to sell out. Also the specials. Billy took our order. Service was super quick. During our time Asli always checked upon us. Asli and Billy made a friendly chilled atsmophere. Food was delicious , Asli offered me additonal cheese as she overheard me complaining about lack of cheese. Billy returned and offered drinks throughout the service . Asli reminded me about the perkz wallet I have and reminded me how this works and points. Asli remembered us from last visit. She is always kind and polite. I have recently tried to attend L1 site on numerous occasions and been told due to lack of staff could not be seated even though it was empty. Every time visiting speke Zizzi’s i have always had a fantastic service even going later on in the evening. I can not fault Asli or Billy and also the chefs and full team at Zizzi’s!!!

Asli served us on our visit and she was extremely pleasant and very friendly. Our order was taken quickly and nothing was too much for her. The food was delicious also. Looking forward to going back!

No Fish mains? When we arrived we were met with a list if menu items that weren't available only a few seafood dishes available. The service was good, but my dushes tasted bland as if something was missing, may have been over cooked or reheated. I dont visit here often, so Im not sure whether this is common or just Monday performance

I came to your restaurant on Saturday it was very busy, on arrival we was welcome by the host, Aslie. She sorted our issue out straight away. The girl is a credit to the company. Few issues with food but Aslie resolved it. They looked short staffed and she seemed senior. Big thank you Aslie. We will be back for your great customer service!!

We went to Zizzi’s in Speke yesterday for my birthday meal and we couldn’t fault the service we received from Asli and her team. Her customer service skills was 10/10 even when she had a difficult customer she still went the extra mile even after the customer being so abrupt with her she was so pleasant and apologetic towards the customer of whatever issue she had but she dealt with it so professionally. She is such a credit to your team and we will definitely be back due to her customer service. Thank you very much Asli and the team.

We came on the off chance and Astley served us, she was very attentive and friendly. She was somewhat of a Parmagarnio Regino enthusiast which we loved!

Service was a bit slow to start but there was only one server, but once we had ordered service was very good staff where friendly and attentive, we had cheesy garlic bread to start this was nice the other starter was a giant dough bomb which was lovely! Mains where nice too. The brisket and chianti ragu pasta was nice very rich and the sticky pig pizza was very tasty. Good sized portions and everything was nicely presented.

I visited here with family who had travelled over from Northern Ireland as a group of 8 without a reservation and slightly unsure if we wanted to eat here as we had never been before and wasn’t sure if it would cater to all of us. We was greeted by Asli who took us to a table straight away. I think she picked up on our unsure vibes and made us feel welcome and comfortable. I don’t have enough words to thank Asli and her team for the service we were given. The food was lovely and we was asked if everything was ok and our drinks never ran out before we was asked if we wanted anymore. We was shown the app to download for future visits and I would definitely return again not just for the great food but the exceptional service from Asli and the team.

Asli was very welcoming we came at 10:30 and she was in no rush to get us out everywhere was shut and we was looking for somewhere nice to eat rather than eating in mcdonalds and asli welcomed us in and reassured us we was in no rush to eat are food and even upgraded are carbonaras to have chicken skewers.

Asli was amazing help tonight we came around half 10 and by 11pm we had ordered, got our food and eaten. Her service was amazing and done everything to help us she could, she was such a lovely person and so talkative! She took great care of us aswell as 4 other tables, felt so welcoming she’s a great person and waitress. She helped with our order and told us the best things to order and depending on our point of view aswell. Big 5 star review for Asli she’s an amazing waitresses and will definitely be returning back to zizi speke because of her, never felt welcomed into a restraint so amazing before she done everything she could when she could. She had no rush to get us out whilst we let our food sit after 11pm and reassured us that there was no rush to leave .

Visited today and we were served by Asli Service was fantastic and she introduced us to the Zillionaires club, which got us a free garlic bread! She also recommended different options from the menu, which introduced me to lovely foods that I'd not had previously It really was an excellent experience

I brought my dad and niece for Father's Day - the food was good, although some options had sold out, but we had a lovely evening. However, I must mention the amazing waitress called Kaisa ... she was running the whole restaurant on her own as staff had called in sick. She was greeting guests, taking orders, clearing tables, serving food, making drinks and taking payments. Despite getting rude comments from some guests for the long wait, she remained calm and professional and is a credit to Zizzi. Thank you Kaisa, I'd come back just to be served by you and this five star review is based on you alone! xx

Absolutely outstanding service Asli was particularly amazing, visiting with an allergen can be quite daunting but her awareness and knowledge on what I could and could not eat and even going out of her way to check with chef to put me at ease and make sure things were safe for me without me even having to ask. Friendly, bubbly and fun from the minute we walked in she is an asset to this place and the company and I’ll certainly be visiting again because of her and her amazing vibe ps give the girl a promotion she deserves it! x

Attended Speke zizzi for our normal teatime meal we go here at least twice a month as we love the food and the staff. Ashley and Liv served us today and they are brilliant and always make the visit brilliant and their customer service is fantastic 👍🏻

visited late tonight and was welcomed by a waitress named Asli, we didn’t feel rushed either as we arrived 40 mins before closing but this wasn’t a problem , Alsi recommended food which we chose and it was nice! the service was good and fast and Alsi was bubbly and polite will defiantly be re visiting soon! we’ve also visited a few times in the past and have been served by Alsi and each time she’s been the same! we hadnt seen her for a while and we were actually speaking about her in the car on the way down wondering if she would be there or if she had left as she made an impression on us each time! you couldn’t forget her as she makes you feel at home! and anyway tonight she was in! she had informed us that she had been off for a while but you wouldn’t of known as it was as though she had never been away, great service would defiantly recommend, it’s our favourite place 💗

Came out for a meal with my husband and In-Law’s and had an amazing night, our waitress was Asli and she was so attentive and nothing was too much trouble, a real asset to the business. Will be back again! Thanks for a great night

took 30 minutes to get our first meal then took 20+ minutes to get our dessert, they hardly had any of the menu items in aswell so overall I would avoid this restaurant, instead go to the pizza express next door

Food lovely as always. 2 staff working who had no teamwork between them. Uncomfortable atmosphere throughout and ridiculous wait between courses, ordering and bill. Prioritising tables that have left (with many other empty tables available) resulting in empty dishes being left for a long period of time.

if i could give this 0 star i would !🙈although the waitresses where nice this didn’t excuse the 1 and a half hour wait for the food even though the restaurant was empty, it would be a compliment to say the food was tesco ready meal standard, and just to top it off it has given my boyfriend salmonella definitely don’t get the watery excuse of a spag bol DO NOT GO HERE trust the wait is not worth the food unless you want to be ill , shaking when you get in 👎👎👎

Over 90 mins wait and not even busy, the kitchen is busy with take out, decide if you are a resturant or a take out, you can't be both , go some where they are a proper resturant not a sham resturant.

Myself and my husband came for the three course set menu today and for our first time eating at Zizzi. We got the calamari starter, pizza mains and tiramisu and lemon cheesecake for dessert and everything tasted lovely and was well presented. Our server Anna was lovely and went above and beyond to check everything was perfect for and we will definitely be back again! Thank you!

I don't like leaving poor reviews so I don't do it very often, but this place is a beautiful example of what happens when absolute incompetence meets utter indifference. In a retail park in Speke. The food was mediocre, the ingredients incorrect, the drinks warm, nothing arrived in sequence, the service was otherwise occupied and the management so utterly unconcerned with their team and floor that it would be better managed by a warmed up corpse. They could serve it up if all else failed. That our food was an extraordinary 90 minutes in the making should have suggested something scrumptious but what we got was subpar, flavourless slop. Served with lukewarm beer. After waiting for one and a half hours for two kids meals, a pizza and some pasta a manager asked us if everything was okay with our meal. The lad needs a comedy award, he was in that manager role the whole time he spoke with us, didn't crack a smile. The only talent in the room If you're hungry don't eat here. If you're going to the cinema don't eat here. If you like food don't eat here. I beg of you. I hate McDonalds but if I had one piece of advice about this establishment it's that there is a McDonalds in the parking lot.

The food took over 50mins to come and wasn't even the best quality of food. Chesey garlic was nice but that was it.

Went here for a work Christmas meal. We only had a 1 hour and 30 minute slot and couldn't even have desert at the restaurant and had to take it in boxes back to the office. The service was EXTREMELY slow and the waitress tried to imply it was our fault as someone in our party was late, despite us saying to start serving anyway. Said colleague arrived and had to hunt down our waitress- but gave up and went to the bar. Our waitress then made me feel hurried, saying we only have 1 hour and a half to eat and leave. We waited 35 minutes for our starters, which were mediocre, mine came 5 minutes later than my colleagues then waited a further 25 minutes after finishing for mains. We didn't even have time to eat our dessert, as it had taken up the full 1 hour 30 to recieve and eat the starters and mains. We took our dessert and ate them at our office desks after. Even the kitchen had to shout for service twice. Extremely poor service.

Decent food but extremely slow service from start to end. Waited half hour for starter, further half hour from finishing starter to receiving main and then 25 minutes to get dessert. Approximately 2 hours at 5pm on a Wednesday night?! Zizzi usually across the country good but disappointed with this visit.

Well what can I say,here goes. We ordered food,after a wait they came back and said they never had risotto left so picked something else. When paying bill my daughter checked it and they had not taken off the first meal I ordered,so told them they came with card machine to take it OFF INSTEAD THEY ADDED IT ON so Payed £103 instead of £63. BUT BEST WAS THEY NEW THEY HAD DONE IT AND NEVER SAID ANYTHING DISGRACEFUL. NOW WE HAVE TO EMAIL THEM TO GET IT BACK. SO ALWAYS CHECK YOUR BILL ,SORRY IT WAS SO LONG. WILL NOT BE GOING BACK THERE.

The staff here are it's jewel, can't rate them highly enough. My partner had a funny turn (just a panic attack) but the waitress came over concerned and asked if he was ok? I explained he'd be fine and what was wrong she offered some water and a few other things that she thought may help. We declined any help as they just pass in their own time but she discretely turned the music down and checked back again and asked if that had helped. We hadn't noticed but thought it was a lovely touch. We were given a box to take his food home as his appetite had gone and she made us laugh with her tales of train journeys. We were only here as we were staying in a hotel before an early flight the next day. Whilst Speke is not my first choice of location for dining out we will be back

Great food and friendly atmosphere. The garlic bread with cheese started is amazing.

Staff were slow and not very helpful. We’re there for over an hour and a half, 30 minutes waiting for order to be taken (staff sat us down and said nothing about the online order or anything useful) and a further 40 minutes waiting for our food. At the end we had to ask the same staff member twice for the bill, both times saying they’ll get it and just starting another task straight away. (We gave them 10 minutes each time). So we eventually had a different staff member get us the bill. Would understand if it was during a busy time, but it was half full and even watched another couple leave without eating because they had been waiting just as long. Would’ve been nice to atleast hear an apology but all the staff seemed to just put the clear problem to a side and act as if nothing had happened. (Apart from the young guy at the end who went around after fixing the problems created by his fellow colleagues).

Delicious food 5 ⭐️for the taste and presentation,, just this weekend we had to wait ages for the food may be coz of busy timing,, but they made up with the tasty food ,, late but really delicious,, I I’ll do visit again for sure ,, hope next time won’t be the same experience with delays ,, ☺️

Place only half full and still took 1 hour from arrival to get our main. Was just warm rather than hot on arrival. Waiting staff were okay but the kitchen was very slow and that's clearly down to them also making food for delivery. Wouldn't go back.

4 meals, all enjoyed. Only annoying thing is having to order via the app which is not the easiest when have an allergy as this needs to be booked on the app first!!! Even fast food places take your orders, why not zizzi???? Restaurant wasn't busy yet had to wait quite a while for our meals.
