Unfortunately, same experience as many others. Food is good but service is poor. Took 30 minutes for a brownie (which didn't actually appear) as part of the Piccolo menu. Staff didn't really care when I asked for the bill as I couldn't make my son wait any longer. In fact, they didn't even apologise, which is even worse. Wouldn't recommend it unless you have more than a couple of hours to spare...

Visited today after shopping in the galleria, we rarely go to pizza express but thought we'd try it out for once. The greeting at the door was warm and we were told cache only we sat down promptly. The restaurant wasn't busy, however it did take some time for someone to come up and take our order. We had a seemingly pleasant waiter take our order but forgot to take our drinks order so we had to call her back. The food was brought out after a reasonable 20 minute wait. The food was ok, however the service was lacking very cold, impersonal, after our initial greeting, we never spoke to another person after the food was brought out, no one checked to see if we were ok, or ask us if we wanted to order something We didnt leave a tip for that reason and befor We paid for food, we so the same waiter using the card machine for customer next to our table .got food and that was it. Very disappointing and the management not honest.

I just wanted to say a huge thank you to the team at this restaurant. I came here this weekend with my family on the way home from visiting family. My daughter has coeliac disease and we are always so happy with the gluten free options from pizza express in general. The staff are always so attentive and knowledgeable about allergies. My daughter struggles with sensory processing and wears ear defenders with loud noises. The host who greeted us checked with us where we'd prefer to sit which we thought was a really nice touch. Unfortunately there was an incident where someone was smoking in the toilet and just as we were getting our food the whole centre had to evacuate. When we eventually came back the staff were so apologetic and kind, the manager Sharia came over to us and personally apologised and explained what happened. They also gave us our food on the house which was really kind. thank you to the team there!

Shocking service with the most useless staff I have ever come across, took 20 min to sit us 20 min to come take the order and 40 min for food to arrive. Never going back here again

Came in on a Thursday evening with my 10yr old. Took order (asked for it all to be cooked right away as we were in a rush) fine, got dough balls in 3 mins from ordering. Then nothing asked about where our meals were (mind you only 5 tables in the whole restaurant so dead), about 25 mins later… watched as kitchen realised they never made the meals for us so they rush to put something together in the over. Server says sorry pasta takes a long time to cook! I said BS! Finally got food at 48 min after order…. Not happy!

Didn’t receive my Fanta drink with the order, the driver said he wasn’t given a drink with my order.

Not as good as the last two, perhaps a different chef or cook, had to throw very tough chicken away.

Absolutely awful manager ! What a joke! How did he become manager?! Refusing to give delivery orders without a real reason. He is telling me that last time order was waiting one hour which is absolutely false, there was a sistem problem!!! Not because of me. He is not letting me work and he is abusing his manager position , being so bossy and arrogant. Disgusting 👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻

The dough ball portions were not the same and did not come with the condiments that are supposed to be sent with it

The food was ordered at 19:27 with an estimated 30-40 minute wait time. The order was delivered at 21:17. From around 20:25, the Just Eat app, stated that the delivery driver was at the restaurant waiting for the order. We called Pizza Express at 20:50, who shared that the food had been waiting for the driver for a quite a while. Their side said the driver was a minute away. They finally left the restaurant at 21:00 having said the driver had ‘been waiting’ for over half an hour. This is not true as per the restaurants communications. The food arrived and having been waiting for a long time, was tepid. We are not happy with this order.

I could see the driver was making another trip in the other direction before coming to my address. Food receipt states was ready at 9:09 too driver nearly 40mins for 15 minute journey

Delivery driver didn’t deliver all of the food, called the restaurant and they verified that it was all given to driver. Driver also called to tell us to go and collect it even though we paid for delivery, and now an item wasn’t delivered. Seems very convenient

I took my family here recently which included my elderly father and 3 year old daughter. We received excellent service from our waitress, Anna, she really took great care of us. The food was great as ever, but in particular the staff were really kind and helpful.

We often go to Pizza Express at the Hatfield Galleria. The food is lovely, the staff are always professional (especially with my wife's food allergy), along with being friendly and smiling and always accommodating with birthdays etc.

They tried to rob me today. Went there as I had a voucher, which was a gratitude from my employer. The staff made a photo of my voucher and announced that it isn’t accepted by the system because it was bought using invalid credit card. What a nonsense. After I challenged that, oh miracle it worked! Not sure what’s the point in that, perhaps they were planning to use the pictured voucher if I wouldn’t challenge that but that was my last visit there.AVOID!

Probably the best service we have ever received. Very friendly and lovely gentleman Goran. Superb.

A really delicious 2 course lunch for two, the service was very good, food arrived hot and in good time and we were happy with our booth table.

We were served by Goran today, who we regularly see there. He is always charming, polite and attentive. He always looks happy and pleased to be at work with the customers and deserves recognition. The food is always consistently good and well presented. The atmosphere is relaxing and we often play cards while we eat.

We were served by a waiter called Costas at the Hatfield branch on 24th August and I must say his customer service is exemplary. He is one of the best waiter I have been served by. He is a keeper! The food was fantastic too. Such a great experience. I will definitely visit again.

My main meal was burnt and overcooked. Butter for dough balls had completey melted. I suggest packing it seperately and not in with the doughballs

The restraunt was incredible. After a mistake was made with mushrooms being put on a dish when requested not to. The staff drove back down in their own vehicle and re-delivered the food. Fantastic service and excellent food

Gorgeously tasty pizza and garlic and mozzarella bread all lovely and hot. Tasted so nice and fresh, also had three dips…yum. Delicious.

Hard to fix, but the fried things were soggy by the time it arrived.

Really good service and pizza as usual. Always good whenever I order. My only issue is they never seem to read the comments- despite me specifying no onions on the pizza, there is still a large portion of onions :(

Wow! What a gorgeous meal! I ordered the Romana gung-ho do bosco pizza meal (with garlic/mozzarella bread + 3 dips). Pizza was HUGE, beautifully hot and crispy…all lovely fresh mushrooms and veg …so,so tasty (I’d go so far as to say the BEST I’ve tasted !!!) Plus nice selection on vegan dips (basil &pine was delicious) Well done Pizza Express.

Great for our kids who eat all things Italian, and we ate it all, but just to let the more discerning customers know... The dough is rolled out (flat) and the pizza is cooked in an oven dish to keep the shape, the oven being electric. Sauce is to the edge leaving no rising crust, and the pasta sauces are pre made. Fully understand a successful high street chain keeping costs down and consistency up, and as I said we ate it all, but for the price I'd expect more authentic which I will now be looking for.

Was a great experience for a family dinner. The food was good and didn’t have to wait long. Was a little bit confused by the app vouchers, but a young gentleman Kostas helped us out and showed us how to use the app. He was very lovely to speak to, and was very helpful throughout our visit. Will be definitely coming back here.

this was the best pizza I've ever had in my life. I am Italian from Napoli so you can imagine that I know my pizzas. when I tell you that this is the best f^#@king pizza I've ever had I am not joking. The pizzaiolo Alex was fantastic and I could tell he made my pizza with love and care, and most of all skill. You have to visit this Pizza Express specifically at least once in your life. Food was taken to complete wrong address, food was stone cold when received and can only get a refund for the food!! No refund for the delivery even though that was the main fault!!

really need to work on their customer service experience. we waited to be seated, no one came over even though it wasn’t busy, so we ended up just sitting wherever. then we get told that our table had been reserved, and get seated somewhere else. calling someone over so we can order, he tells us that he’s not a waiter and just walks off. and when we are finally served, we manage to finish our food before they bring our drinks over!

Lovely Kimberly served me she was very polite to me and my family! Made it a great experience overall, had to give her a nice tip, keep the good effort going Kimberly! Will definitely return again soon😆🥰

I came in with a friend to get a pizza for takeaway and we were greeted by friendly staff. I ordered my food with Maxim and he politely offered me drinks and desserts. Alex gave me my food and told me to have a nice evening. 10/10 service and food.
