Convenient parking (no parking space was available today/busy) stock availability, tidynes, most of the staff friendly & helpful

Poor service poor ques rude staff not friendly or helpful they all have bad attitude it’s actually made me not want to shop here ! Self service staff were shockingly rude even said they didn’t care !! I asked a member of staff that was working on isle his attitude was the company don’t care we under staffed under payed as customers that’s not the help or care. I just wanted some help. Unfortunately Asda your quality in staff and store was atrocious. Not one of your members even said hello or thank you or even smile ! Won’t be shopping in your store again

This place is a joke now. Spent over an hour getting the shopping list in the trolley, and they tell me it's closed when I get to the checkouts. Well done, no announcement, nothing to make me aware they close. Just a waste of my time.

You have a piss poor customer service. You can give everything for free will never shop at ASDA and will be spreading the word about the rudeness and verbal abuse from your store manager Shame on you ASDA for hiring people who dont even have one decent bone in body Just gave star to post. My dad went here today (16th) and their naan breads were labled as out of date on the 6th and some bread even had mold on them 🤢 he told the staff and she rolled her eyes and snatched the bread out of his hand, put it back on the shelf and told him choose another one then and walked off! Sadly this is the closest shop to us but will be going literally anywhere else whenever we go shopping, the staff are always rude here. Would put minus stars if I could.

Would be great if they ever had any baskets. Lots of customers walk around the store carrying 5-10 items because there were no baskets. Edit - there's lots of baskets again now, but they never put them at the front of the store. People get them by barging past other people at the self checkouts.

Store was messy and the toilets made me sick. Awlful

This is the worst supermarket in the world. Filthy, terrible layout and inadequate staff. You will undoubtedly need to join an unnecessarily long queue, in order to pay. I now bypass this store in favour of iceland or aldi.

Awful supermarket. There are never enough of the small trolleys. Most of them have wonky wheels anyway. Too many items low or out of stock and checkout staff who are slow and more interested in chatting than doing their job efficiently. Most of the customers look like they haven't had a wash for a few weeks. Only positive is the wide car parking spaces but I won't be returning!

Lovely place to spend time and shopping

on 4 different occasion's i have tried to shop there but i can never get a trolley. due to my shoulder i have to have a trolley not a basket but i can never find them i spent 15 minuets looking for one once. then they have a delivery of trolleys but i went there 25.01.23 and there was none again. there never seems to be any staff around. there only ever seems to be one till open when i go with ques all the way up the isle

Simply….. driver could not follow instructions I added for delivery, driver did not call, so I ended up going for a walk in the rain and wind, he almost missed out on 3 water crates, which I reminded him off. Driver still managed to miss out on delivering 2 other items. I carried goods in. Missed items can not be redelivered, you cannot collect them at store, all you can do is wait 5 days for your refund. With all said, website isn’t any better than the delivery service or call to customer services. Hence my score of 1, which I think is poignant.

I find the staff quite appalling as they have an attitude towards us innocent customers they act like they are being forced to work a few days ago all I wanted was I pack of plastic bags and when the issue wasn't quite solved security rudely said to me LEAVE HER ALONE and this has not been the first time I have been untreated well .There fore I will be giving this ASDA in particular 1 star

Asda have got a real moron working "security" who shut the second door as I was approaching despite me being on crutches. He then just motioned to me to use the other way in.

Had a problem with a neverstick saucepan purchased from Hatfield store, which would not work with my induction hob, despite the documentation saying it was induction compatible On line ASDA "help" pretty useless, just referring me back to the store, as I had no receipt despite paying for it on my Asda card Tracie at the in-store desk could not have been helpful As well as having a lovely sunny disposition, she took my details promising to go back through their records and find the sale. Sure enough, rang me in a couple of days saying found the sale and to bring the pan back for a refund Tracie was not on duty when I did return, and I did not get such a cheerful staff member, but still refunded 5 stars Tracie Whatever they're paying you, you richly deserve, and should get a raise

The floors were unclean, and the service was not good when I asked for help and the store is layedout in such a way that I struggle to navigate it. As well as this the parking is always full so it takes ages to find a space.

An excellent store with top class covered bicycle parking despite there being a motorbike parked there regularly. World foods section very handy when looking for ingredients. Biggest issue is the regular lack of self scan units, could do with doubling the number. No butcher or fish counter, the meat selection is OK but fresh fish not so.

Ordered through just eat a few items, nearly all the items were missing. I bet the item were on the shelves but the staff are too lazy to get them. Try calling the store only there is no way to speak to someone. Only recieving two items of a £35 order, such incompetence.

Nice & bright atmosphere but the store could do with being updated to be more modern instead of looking like a supermarket out of the 80's.

Horrible experience. Fuel filled for £20.00 but asda taken £99.00 from account. Calling asda Hatfield but not responding. Simply say cheating people through technology.

Friendly, kind, patient and helped me so much this evening as it was my first time using click and collect and I didn't find it easy, long story but i will know next time. The people serving on the self service tills seriously need training in manners and customer service. Had a few problems here with the staff.

They have good fresh products and are very affordable.

Big ASDA with more varieties of almost everything

A shout out to staff in Asda Hatfield I was in there earlier and asked 5 staff different things. Each one of them went out of their way to help me and other customers too. They were all friendly and welcoming including on the self service tils/ security/ shop floor. Their jobs were all busy ..

Asda is a big store located across UK, with everything under one roof at a decent price. You want kitchen wares, toiletries, fresh vegetables, fruits, seasonings, drinks, cosmetics, frozen food, clothings, stationery etc, just pop in with your money.😂 You will find everything you need, items are well displayed with sign posts to lead you to all the sections. No struggle at all. You can do a self service with card or cash or pay at the till assisted. Polite staff. Clean store. I strongly recommend.

You have to take a trolley from home because you will never find a trolley there. You cannot do a proper shopping because of this.

I just visited this store. I was stopped on my way out by charity workers working for Great Ormans street. How dare they stop me and other shoppers. I can't believe ASDA allows their customers to be hassled by these people. Just for reference. That charity brought in £74m last year and the CEO gets paid £160k.

Worst organised ASDA. I am a regular customer for ASDA Hatfield over past 8 years. Even though I like Tesco slightly better, I prefer to go to ASDA because it is near by. But recent months, things are unorganised; every week items locations are getting changed, I don't find shopping trollies, because of that I had to cut short my shopping list to a few, and mostly hand-held scanners not available. Also in self check out , short of support staff, waiting for quite long and making my experience very bad.

I hope you will be getting trollies in for when the Uni students are back. What is the guy collecting them doing with his time, there's nothing for him to do as the customers are covering it for him so they can shop !!!??

When the first 3 things you want aren't there at 13.30 on a Friday, you walk out. As you walk out you realise just what a Steaming Heap Infused Tip HOLE it is. Feb 2023. Worse. Sept 2023. It gets worse and worse. Owned run and managed by people who couldn't care less.

When is the Asda today? Only to cash scan and go. There were only two working arrest record. The left-hand side is card and cash and right hand side should be card.

I had my groceries delivered today. The delivery driver was Rumel - I found him to be such a lovely, kind considerate gentleman. He apologised for the undue delay and helped me pack my groceries in my bags at just the right weight for easy carrying. He was lovely and is a true star and asset to your Company. Asda used to be a decent store, but after they install those face recognition cameras on checkouts, in which no one seems to have a clue about where the data goes, things gone down the wrong road. Nowadays Asda have poor stock, unhelpful staff, filthy toilets. It is disgraceful

Unhelpful staff, especially on the customer service counter and kiosk. They went out of their way to be awkward. Duty mangers were no help at all and seem scared of the staff.

How many months do you need to bring shopping plastic bags for customers? Out of stock on products for long time. Printers on fruits and vegetables most of the time don’t work as no one puts labels on them. No green baskets for customers. I visited Asda store Hatfield yesterday, oh my God! the toilet was completely bad! Very dirty to the core! I have never seen a toilet like that all my life. It is the most horrible and filthy public toilet I have ever seen! And to think that this is how I always meet it is the worst thing. Everywhere was so dirty, there was no tissue, the toilet wasn’t flushing and so on. It was as if it hasn’t been cleaned for the last one week! Another thing is that the doors are always very strong and hard to open and you have to push with your body and whole strength. Asda Hatfield stores is a very big shopping centre and has a very high number of customers. I believe they should do better than this. I believe they have the capacity and ability to create/make their toilets a very comfortable place for their numerous customers. What made my experience even worse was when I asked a staff that came in at that time why the toilet is always very dirty, she said to me “ yes we know that, and it is because our customers are bad and they treat us badly”. Like seriously??? I can’t believe this. I am highly disappointed. I wish the was a minus zero star, I wouldn’t have given this one star! I just opened the goods I bought from asda stores and noticed that these peppers are bad, and to think that I really took out time to select this one at the store out of numerous ones that were really rotten and gushing out water is really annoying! How can you be displaying routen, in order words expired vegetables? It's disgusting. I don't use my peppers at once and so this is going to be money wasted all thanks to asda Hatfield!

That Roger guy at customer service is so rude ? Many times now I see him try and not to serve people ? he is lazy and rather make out he is busy ? rather then serve customers. When I see him when queuing up I just hope I get when my time comes I get the other staff who are so helpful and friendly . That Roger needs to get another job as he not a people person

I went to the Pharmacy to get some advice, I waiting just a few minutes and when she came out she decided to ask me about the issue while stood right next to another customer which was very uncomfortable for both me and the other customer. The Pharmacist could have taken me to a different area to discuss the issue but she didn’t seem interested at all and I was very disappointed. I would also like to point out that the toilets next to the Pharmacy were extremely unclean and the cubicle I went into had the seat missing which isn’t acceptable.

That's the only place I go to do my shopping. The prices are very, I don't like to go from one shop to another, so for me it's reasonable. I can find all the things that are needed.

Absolute shambles Asda Hatfield. Complete an online order and pay for express delivery and order doesn't arrive. Call customer services and told Uber tried to deliver but got no reply at the door. Check ring door bell and they are telling lies, no-one has tried to deliver at all. Go to the store to be told that the system has gone down and the order hasn't been picked! Why lie in the first place? Now waiting at the store for the order to be picked. Be aware before placing any online orders at Hatfield Asda!

Not a bad shop at all, got pretty much everything and plenty of parking. Can take a while to checkout, but as with everywhere nowadays, they have the dredded self checkouts. Fine if they work but you can almost guarentee your going to be asked to remove the last item from the bagging are 🤣

Definitely a hit and miss Asda, the customer service is great sometimes then awful other times. Today I went in and once at the till a staff member came up and started to clearly have a gossip about management which was awkward to hear (I mean if your gonna have a chat do it out of customer earshot). The checkout person isn’t to blame as she was attentive. It’s funny because the individual that came up to have a little chat was someone I had an awful experience with before. Also the older guy at the tobacco counter with glasses was unnecessarily rude, if your going to challenge someone on ID don’t role your eyes like it’s an obvious ask and maybe don’t interrupt customers while there talking. Other than that the store is well stocked and easy to get around, but customer service with some individuals definitely lacks. Easier to use self checkout and not have to deal staff and leaving the store annoyed!

Not enough checkouts for trolleys

Toilets were absolutely vile looked like they hadn't been cleaned in days. Blood all over sink. Urine all over the floor and toilet seats. Smell made me feel sick.

On 26/10/22 I bought 2 x sets grey reactive dinner plates at a total cost of £68.00 for the 2 sets so I could have an 8 piece plate set for extended family dining. Over the course of the next 2-3 months the plates cracked and chipped. I now have only 4 dinner plates left. I rang Hatfield several weeks ago and was offered vouchers to the value of the 2 sets which I was happy with. Unfortunately these never arrived. Under the consumer rights act 2015 items have to be fit for purpose, of reasonable quality and last a reasonable length of time. The plates are none of these things. Today I rang the Hatfield store to query where the vouchers were. I spoke to Alison who has obviously never heard of the consumer rights act and said they were not interested in an item being faulty once it has left the store and no refund or vouchers can be given. So be warned if you buy a dinner service from Asda don’t expect it to last more than a few weeks! I will now be in contact with trading standards and the BBC consumer rights show to take this matter further.

Did an online shop arriving between 9 and 10am on Wed 22nd Feb. Waited in for the entire hour with no sign. Delivery arrived at quarter past 10. Driver offered NO apology,just an excuse of not being able to find my flat???? and wasting time asking others who also had no idea. No phone call, no update on lateness by ANYONE, no form of apology. Day messed up. Bra👏vo👏 UPDATE 27/04/23: order is supposed to be arriving between half 8 and half 9. Hour came and went. Driver arrived at 21:32. No apology again. No phone call. Improved from last time? "How 'bout no!"

Large asda, has lots of disabled and child parking spaces. Car wash located in car park and a pay at pump petrol garage. Card only Instore there is a large george section and Mcdonalds. Reason for the star off is because I wish more manned tills where open. Not everyone likes using self check outs.

I am complaining about what happened today. I was leaving the store at entrance by Boots, when all of a sudden the trolley stopped dead and rammed into my ribs. The security guard then asked for my receipt, looked at it and then unlocked the trolley. As well as being a shock I think that this is a dangerous practice and could end up with somebody suing you if they get injured. He didn't explain why the trolley had locked.

Many items with reasonable price

Typical Asda everything is everywhere. The staff getting delivery orders take over running around like its supermarket sweep!

Always has what you need from a supermarket. Only issue is that everything I have visited, there has always been a fairly long wait to use the self service tills. Also there seems to always be a queue for tills as it is just a busy shop. Nothing the staff can do, just always seems to be busy. Other than that, staff are always helpful and I always find what I'm after.

Doesn't really have much. Most departments are only partially stocked. No real bakery or hot food section either.

Good for household products and services.

The only place I love to buy my groceries. It has almost everything, you don’t need to go everywhere else. Product quality is undoubtedly great. I would say the cheap nd best superstore.

Went in just before Christmas to get a muscle relaxer from the pharmacist…a very common one used by hundreds of thousands of people daily and readily available. To be told by a half asleep dispenser/pharmacist assistant who couldn’t even be bothered to speak properly and slurred her words like a teenager that they didn’t have it, asked pharmacist to order it and the dispenser was quickly hurried away didn’t even check on the computer…was told to go elsewhere. I felt they didn’t really believe the prescription was even genuine just because it was written by a specialist and was a benzodiazepine.

Toilet needs some care and attention. The same damage has been present for a few months. Wasn't the case beforehand.

Used to be brilliant but it's being run into the ground by new management. Empty shelves, hardly any fresh bread and due to not ordering carriier bags there are now no baskets because people have to use them to get their shopping home.

After a couple of unpleasant experiences with the "Scan and Go" I got a feedback from one of Asda's team members, that in itself shows that they are trying to make things better for the customers. In the last few weeks it seems that they improve on that,so very well done! So far a good overall experience👍

Rude staff, customer service out the window. With jobs so hard to come by, you'll think people with jobs would be greatful for a job. Especially during this time of year to be working during a recession. If you shop here, be sure to just shop and not ask for assistance. Also the petrol station is also a joke.

Really not much there that you want to turn into your dinner, The hot food counter and pizza making bit is closed at dinner time? (Can someone explain that one to me?) Frankly though, I could take all of that for the convenience of having it on my doorstep, if it wasn't for the rudeness of the staff in the tobacco kiosk. They act like they own the place and that you are the problem with the store. I don't shop there anymore, I would rather drive to Welham Garden City and shop at Lidl.

I dont come over to Asda very often but on the last 3 occasions i have been and done a big shop they have no bags in store anywhere , problem being they dont tell you until they have put through some of the shopping , luckily the security guards have offered to watch my trolly while i have been to the other stores and brought some bags

Please make the baby changing accessible. Having a baby is not a disability and no one should have to ask for a radar key. There’s no excuse for having it locked. Please get bags for the checkout. It’s not fair on the customers or the checkout staff to not provide them. This is an incredibly basic thing that’s needed and you are not providing a service without them. If there aren’t any bags this needs to be MADE CLEAR to all customers before they start shopping. Luckily I hadn’t bought too much, had my pram and had driven there so could just about manage. Don’t know what I’d have done if I’d just done a massive food shop. Clothes section is good though!

Very clean store. All items laid out nice and there is a costa machine in store in case you need that quick fix of caffeine as well as a mcdonalds is located in this store
