Pizza Express in City of London, Westminster

We ordered a couple of pizzas, the Smoky bbq chicken and BBQ burnt ends, the latter was especially good with a lot of flavor. We also ordered the lasagna. Everything was delicious but it seemed expensive to us… although within the London line. Very good and pleasant service.

I had the vegan pizza! It was simply delicious. All the staff were very friendly and helpful and the restaurant’s atmosphere it's very welcoming!

Pizzas, as ever, were fantastic. The toilets were leaking on the floor of the gents, and I have written to Pizza Express to get them to investigate. i only used them after we had eaten. This should be closed until this issue is resolved.

Ordered 2 Grand Ceasar Salads, but they substituted Rocket for the Cos lettuce, making it a bitter, inauthentic mess.

We were late for our booking. Even so, we were immediately welcomed and shown to our table. We ordered some prosecco which came along with our nibbles very quickly in an ice bucket was was lovely and cold. The food was excellent, well up to Pizza Expresse's high standard.

With a name like Pizza Express, I had very low expectations. Our son can be a bit picky so we knew he could get a cheese pizza. My wife and I wanted to order one of their specialty pizzas without the sausage and our waiter talked us out of it as he said it would be very bland without it, and recommended us a different pizza. The Spicy Giuseppe is delicious and a very good call by our waiter! A very pleasant surprise with delicious pizza and great service.

Lovely restaurant, lovely food and lovely staff. I booked a table here as it was close to an attraction we were visiting. Upon arriving, we discovered that there was a step up into the restaurant - my daughter is a wheelchair user and something seemingly small to others could've made us have to change our plans. As soon as the staff saw us, they presented a ramp to enable us to get into the restaurant, and also removed a chair from our table - no questions asked - so my daughter was able to be "parked". Small things like this make such a huge difference to our lives and we really appreciate it! Once inside, we were served promptly with all staff we encountered being polite, courteous and professional. The food was delicious and cooked perfectly! Thank you for enabling us to have a successful, enjoyable, stress free meal out where other restaurants have failed!

We had a lovely meal on Saturday, our waitress was Katherine she was so friendly and helpful and made our experience really great. We definitely will come back.

Popped into this Pizza Express before going to the Palladium for a show. Our waitress was lovely. The food took about half an hour to arrive, which was a bit stressful. I ordered a pasta dish ‘Formaggi & Pancetta’ for £15.95. When it arrived, it looked like a child’s portion, one piece of penne deep. It was supposed to have a bechemel sauce, but in reality it was a very small portion of pasta, with cheese melted on top. No sign of any sauce. They did give me a refund, but there was no time to order anything else. I would definitely not go back again. If you are an adult and you’re hungry, I recommend you spend your money elsewhere.

Delicious pizza and bruschetta! The crust on the pizza is perfectly crispy, and the bruschetta is loaded with fresh, flavorful toppings. Great service and cozy atmosphere too. A go-to spot for satisfying Italian cravings…! Our server alex made nice pizza experience thank you!

We visited today as a family of seven and arrived a little earlier than our booking, which was no problem. We have a coeliac in the family and continue to be reassured by how thorough Pizza express is to our needs. We have never eaten at this one before but they impressed me with their knowledge and double checked everything. Service and food was 10/10. Being able to eat out with a coeliac and just enjoy a normal family meal without the worry is priceless! Thank you.

Great family and friends meal (6 people) after a long day at Winter Wonderland in Hyde Park. All round friendly team of people and our Waiter/Host Silva was a credit to this branch - charasmatic, attententive and accommodating - he added to the the atmoshphere of our already fun day. The atmosphere of the restaurant was amazing 🤩 Amelia gave us such amazing recommendations for our meal as we are vegetarian and vegan 🌱 I really recommend pizza express at Barrett street as you dining in !!!!

We had a quick lunch/dinner in this place while shopping and the food was delicious. Service was great. The manager Amelia was lovely and very helpful. We definitely recommend it. We had lasagne and pasta with chicken and pesto. Delicious.

Last night we visited this branch around 9:45pm. It was not busy. We sat outside as we saw menus on the tables and customers eating at one of their tables. We waited for 15 minutes ish. Two waiters came outside and ignored us. Then, I decided to go inside. We were told they were not serving outside, which seemed a bit strange to me, and we were offered a table inside. We ordered 3 Peronis and the waiter brought the large ones. I am a regular and I have also worked many years at Pizza Express, and I know either you offer your customers a choice or you bring the small ones. I asked the waiter to take one of the Peronis back because we did not need to drink so much. He argued that I did not order small ones. Then we ordered some food to start with. I was starving as I had finished work at 8pm; my pizza took 45 minutes to arrive. It was a Legera American Hot, which usually you serve with hot green peppers. It came with jalapeño, which are very strong for me at the moment as I am taking some medicines and I became sensitive to very hot food. I pointed this mistake to the waiter, who took the pizza back and put just some green peppers on top. I again had to ask him to please make a new one as I ordered. It took another 15 minutes to get the pizza I ordered. I was so disappointed. We had seen some customers been served before us, even though they came to the restaurant after us. He even did the checkback to other customers but never to us. I talked to the manager who did not seem to care much, and just said the she will investigate it. She could have investigate it at that moment... Of course, we did not order anything else after this incident and we left the restaurant with a feeling of frustration and disappointment after your low and appalling service.

We are regular clients and we went today to this branch and we were not welcomed. The restaurant was half empty. They asked us if we had reservation, we told them we didn’t. We are regular clients as I mentioned and we had never been asked for it. And they told us that we had to wait 30 min to make our request. We are talking about pizza express not a fancy restaurant. And still the quality of service was not very good

The service was extremely slow. It took about an hour for our pizza and kids pasta dishes to arrive. We chose Pizza Express because we were in a hurry and expected the simple food to come quickly, so it was frustrating. The pizza was actually delicious to be fair though. However the kids pasta arrived with a hair in it, and was also served at thermonuclear temperature.

I went there for a nice dinner and enjoyed it the wait time was very long but once the food came out it was very nice I ordered a Margarita Pizza and Dough Balls and they were very enjoyable not the warmest but not cold the Staff were kind and I would come here again

Nice quiet location close to Oxford Street. Seating inside on 2 floors and outside. Has a much more intimate feel than the usual Pizza Express restaurants. Normal pricing, so great value for the location.

Fantastic service and the staff went out of their way to meet my disabled sons needs. Katie was particularly great, she really looked after us and made sure we have everything we need. Also great job from the guy who greeted us on the door and the chef who made our lovely food.

I went there today, the food was alright but the waiters were extremely impolite and the service was just not it.

I was there a few days ago and left thinking that I really needed to write a review as the manager was a joy to be around. I asked her name but her laughter stood out!

The staff were extremly impolite by taking the playes away while we barely had finished eating. They also brought us oir recipes imidiatly after taking the plates away. It was also seemingly impossible to split the bill.

10/10 service from Kush and the team when me &my friends came to celebrate a birthday the other day. Made us feel very welcomed and taken care of!

So we went for the birthday party and Kush welcome us to the table and he had our order, my best friend had a birthday and the team help us a lot to feel comfortable. All food was so tasty and absolutely on time ! Thank you so much , definitely we will come back xoxoxo

Great pizza express location! Came in for a quick lunch and came out of it really satisfied. Waiter (had a beard and dark hair ?) was rlly kind and kept checking on us for the order and everything, gave excellent service throughout! Had the garlic prawn, halloumi bites and dough balls, was all speedy out of the kitchen, and hot! Great experience would recommend.

This was the second Pizza Express that we ate at as a bus tour was ending. This is off James Street which is off Oxford Street for any who are interested. Lots of restaurants on James Street. We found the pizza good and the beer cold. Could not ask for more. This is near the (Thistle) Amba Hotel Marble Arch for those interested.

we had a gluten free pizza and gluten free pasta, the pasta was average but the pizza was not good at all. the staff are very friendly and helpful. i recommend they work more on their gluten free options mainly on the pizza!

Unfortunately one of the receptionist was not welcoming us in the restaurant. I think because we are Arab… He said “you are 6 persons and we don’t have table for 6” while there was another family with same number of persons sitting there!! My visit was afternoon around 4 o’clock 9 August 2023

The Goats cheese and caramelised onion pizza was really nice. It was sunny and we were seated inside but with a great view of the outside, which we liked.

Nice enough visit . Food was okay fancied a pasta but all.had mushrooms so i had pizza instead which was very dry . the server was very friendly and it was a nice atmosphere . Pleasant enough for lunch

We’ve tried fried calamari, king pawns and it was super delicious. Lasagna could be better. Staff don’t know the menu and wasn’t nice at all, it wasn’t really busy so some attention from the waiter would be appreciated.

I recently dined at Pizza Express Barentt street with a friend and had an excellent experience. The staff, especially Amelia- manager, provided exceptional hospitality. Thank you to the lovely member of staff called Amelia at Pizza Express on Barrett Street for looking after me and my friends last night. She was attentive without being intrusive. Busy/fun place to grab a bite. Pizza is good. Selection great. Prices are typical London (not unusual, but high).

My wife and I arrived at 9PM on a Sunday after checking on Google Maps that the closing time was 10PM. We were rudely welcomed by an employee who said if we wanted to sit, we would have to be very quick (even though there was only 2 of us and the closing time wasn’t due for another hour). We decided to order a pizza to go and another employee took our order. He spoke quietly and it was very hard to hear him. He kept turning around and didn’t seem interested in helping us out. Overall, none of the employees seemed willing to take orders, and they looked eager to close the restaurant as soon as possible. We ordered a pizza and two Cokes. My wife asked for a colder bottle, but they didn’t have any chilled Cokes available - something they should have mentioned before charging. Nobody wants to drink warm Coke! I’m only giving this place 3 stars after all that because the price was good and the pizza was delicious! Would definitely try again at another location were the staff is more willing.

Really loved the atmosphere in this restaurant. Pizza was delicious, the manager, Amelia (I think) was supper helpful, she accommodated our modifications on the menu, nothing was too much trouble, she made us so welcome I’d recommend going here. I feel like this was one of the best pizza chains that I have been to in a very long time.

1 adult 2 children. We had pizza and pollo pesto pasta. One of the pastas had a hair on the top. The dish was also a bit on the dry side, like it was on the hot plate, too long. Had to request a discount in relation to the hair. Which, in my opinion, should have been given without asking.

not the best service. it was quite busy so i understand that service would be slow, however we were waiting upwards of 10 minutes for something small like a dip or a clean fork to be brought to us and even longer for our plates to be cleared and to receive dessert menus. before we even were GIVEN dessert menus the manager put the bill in front of us without saying anything to us. when we spoke to the manager about it, he muttered an excuse about how we 'asked someone for the bill' before walking off again. all hot drinks were cold, don't bother. our waiter didn't seem bothered either that he charged us twice for an item and forgot about it until we reminded him twice - and wasn't even taken off the bill when it was rudely handed to us by the manager - very lacklustre attitude and seemed like he didn't care about the service he was providing. we also had to queue for around 15 minutes before even being seated and had to watch other families who arrived after us be seated first. overall, wouldn't visit this restaurant again. there are far better pizzaexpress restaurants in london - such as the one in Angel which had amazing service and staff - and we felt quite ignored for the entire duration of the meal. the atmosphere was so hostile that we won't be coming back. if you're thinking of going here, save your money and your time and go somewhere far far better.

Excellent lunch with my friends today. The food was great as always, very fresh and great quality ingredients! The service from Bilal was excellent as usual- we asked for the large windows to be opened for fresh air and they helpfully accommodated. Professional and friendly service, helpful as always. Great atmosphere for lunch/ any meal.

I have had the best experience dining in the restaurant. I was served by Katie who was very accommodating to all my needs. She was welcoming, friendly and helpful. I will definitely be coming back again.

We waited at the front of the restaurant for about 20 mints and were talking to one of the staff who said when the table is cleaned we can set out side, after 20 mints another member of the staff came and said this table is booked even though there was 3 tables free, This member of staff was rude to us. So we left and decided not to eat at pizza express any more
