Great food and lovely staff. Service was in good time but none rushed us. Nice atmosphere.

My husband is celiac, Im not but who doesn't like sharing pizza. For this reason we always order two of the GF. Once again today they were absolutely delicious 😋. Very polite, great staff too. My prosecco was flat and they soon switched it opening a fresh bottle. Nothing was too much trouble. Thank you 😊

Really good food. The pizzas were crisp and tasty, and the side platters were really nice, especially the dough balls. Wish the service was a teeny bit faster but it was worth the wait.

I haven't been here for a year or so and was really looking forward to it. However shrinkflation has struck again and the pizza turned out to a bit lacklustre in my opinion. Obviously this a subjective viewpoint but I genuinely think the pizza was a lot smaller than I thought I was going to receive. I had the padana and the hole in the middle for the salad seemed to be much larger, making the overall volume smaller. Maybe that's a good thing healthy eating wise, but not wallet friendly. Less for more is not the way round I like it. However, lovely staff providing excellent service with sound advice regarding the pizza choices. Once my memory fades, I'm sure we'll be back. As someone once said.

Very special, delicious food and clean place

Food was cold, made pizza really tough and hard to eat + cut. Ordered halloumi bites and only got about 7 in a box. Won’t be ordering again.

Restaurant took so long to sort out and hand out order,OVER 2 HOURS, food was stone cold, Pizza wasn’t even cut had to do it myself . Called the store twelve times they ignored each call. Joke of a restaurant with little to no customer service. Would never order again!!!!

Just mega slow. Ordered at 7:13 and delivered at 8:45 based on the absolute latest eta of 8:05.

Great food More on the menu A must visit place

Took my son to make use of a 241 offer. We had a lovely time and the young person serving us was friendly and efficient throughout our meal. The food was Pizza Express, it does what it does well.

Really poor service long wait for meals, although quality was reasonable except for the 2 meals returned, it’s not good value for money. First and last time of going there.

So a week ago we went to the St Benedict’s restaurant it was understaffed but at least we managed to get two drinks and pizza, this week the forum restaurant we got seated but 15 minutes later no drinks no food menu and a table that had to be wiped while we sat there. Wouldn’t have minded but we’d booked a table and it was only half full, such a shame the food is always decent but we left as it shouldn’t be that hard to get drinks and order food.

First and last time I shall go there, took a long while to get meals 2 of which were sent back as they were overcooked almost burnt. Very over priced for the portion size other than pizzas which were good. Poor table clearance tables left uncleared for over an hour

We came to show our house guest from Japan what Pizza is like in England. Well that was an embarrassing mistake. We arrived and were waiting at the door for a good 5 minutes. No one even gave us eye contact. We were seated, no drinks order taken. We had to move as we couldn't hold a conversation. It was so so loud in there. People were making the usual level of noise but the acoustics of the room are such that it's awful. Eventually we were served, our order was taken, somewhat indifferently. The food took longer than expected for a wafer thin pizza and when it arrived quite a bit of it was burnt black. The knives and pizza cutters are as blunt as a blunt thing on National Blunt Day. It was almost impossible to cut them once they had gone cold as the pizza had turned into leather. Not once were we asked if everything was ok and no one came back to ask if we wanted any more drinks. When we tried to leave, the foyer area was bunged full of delivery men, blocking our exit. it wasn't nice to walk through. A very disappointing meal out, all the worse as our guest was treating us to the meal. Wont be back, thanks.

Ordered a classic pizza and i thought it was a kids pizza no joke this was a £16 pizza the size of a saucer! Shrinkflation gone mad! Loads of better local wood fired pizza places nearby!

Well my lemon & herb chicken wings was absolutely delicious and my meatball Italiano pizza was absolutely delicious. Definitely order it again

We always enjoy eating here. The restaurant is spacious with a pleasant environment. The food is always good. A special mention to our waitress Monika who went the extra mile in looking after us. When we ordered she helped us to make the best of the various offers available to us, she was attentive, knowledgable and pleasant - it is this type of service that encourages us to return to this particular Pizza Express regularly.

Upon arrival we were seated reasonably sharpish, once sat down, bearing in mind we were a family of 5 and had a two year old. We waited a good 10 minutes before someone came over to take our order. Then another 10 minutes before the drinks arrived. Then another 10-20 mins before the pizzas arrived. The kids pizzas were ok. Mine on the other hand, I think was made from recycled cardboard and gave me jaw ache winding it into me. I did consider taking the crusts home to construct a nuclear bomb shelter, also it was luke warm, luckily I had chilli’s on to give me the illusion it was actually hot. I think they were rationed on cheese as well. All in all fairly poor. oh and also they had a computer mall function which made everything even more of an ordeal.

We came in very early with a huge party and they were great.

Took nearly an hour and half to come, was on ‘preparing’ for over an hour. food finally arrived stone cold, potato salad contained about 2 potatoes. Will not be ordering from here again.

Needs rebranding to pizza slow. Service was fine but actual time to get food was way too long particularly when express is in the name, took well over an hour before getting mains. All in all 2 hours for 7 people 4 adults 3 kids to eat and pay, it was a bit busy but it's pizza so much should be prepared it shouldn't take so long to bring out food. Overall food was good and tasty but kids were tired of sitting around by the end. I'd go elsewhere if you value your time.

Ordered two pizzas received one and it was cold. Paid nearly fifty pounds for for one cold pizza and cold sides. Fuming.

Really good pizza! However... it was delivered late, and it was warmish but not hot. And not as generous in size as some.

It came quite early, however the pizza toppings were completely off the pizza and the pizza base was not fully cooked.

I placed my order at 5:15 pm and didn't receive it until 7:08 pm—over 1.5 hours late. The food was freezing cold, and the pizza was so hard it was inedible. This was a complete waste of time and money.

Had an indescribable time with my partner, beautiful service especially from Jack who was very lively and engaging throughout the night, loved dining here, will return and recommend it for many!

Just came for dinner as a celebration for uni and had the best service, amazing timing on foods and lovely staff (especially the awsome man that I don’t know the name of, could be Danny, but unsure) THANK YOU pizza express for letting me having my pasta 😁😁😁😁HO HO HO 🎷

Really good service by Richard, smiling and friendly, the food was great and the place was buzzing, the only complaint was that everyone, except Richard and one other colleague seemed so miserable, a smile doesn't cost anything.

It was an ok experience, the restaurant has a great view, the staff were polite, prompt and friendly but the food didn't really inspire. The pizza base was disappointing and the bruschetta wasn't as good as I remember. Nothing was bad - maybe just our timing. So many independent Pizza restaurants now challenging the big chains that perhaps I had been spoilt with some of these?

This is a really good Pizza Express. Visited on a very busy Saturday lunchtime but we were served quickly and efficiently. The staff should be singled out specifically for being friendly and helpful; they're a real credit to the restaurant

Great and friendly service, loved the spicy calzone with a large beer and I may well have dietbetes from the white chocolate and salted caramel dessert but it was worth it, delicious.

Lovely little Pizza Express with a great view of the church. Service was lovely and speedy (visited on a monday evening) and food was excellent. I recommend getting the app prior to your visit and referring a friend to activate some promotional codes, such as free sides or free dough balls!

Retirement meal and 22 people in the party. Excellent service, very attentive and happy atmosphere. Very organised and quality food - highly recommend.

We went as a family for a post-cinema meal. Everyone was extremely happy with their choices, and we were well taken care of by a member of staff who appeared to be fairly new to the role.

Extremely avarage pizza.. the dough balls are good.. They forgot to bring our pizza out so we had to wait and ask for our food, extremely overpriced.

Absolutely disgusted at the service we just received in youre restaurant, we were waiting to be seated and we had 3 different members of staff walk past us and did not acknowledge us standing there after numerous times of trying to grab someone’s attention we asked a young lady if we could go and sit by the window, to be very rudely told to wait to be seated! Which with that we then left, absolutely appalled at the behaviour of all the staff we saw today! And will definitely not be returning! I’m glad they don’t work for me! Disgusting!!!

Had to put 1 star but didn’t deserve this. Had an awful and truly unacceptable experience in here last night. Table booked for 6 people at 5:15pm and had to leave just after 7pm having still not been served. It was supposed to be a nice gathering prior to our Theatre visit and instead our evening was ruined with 6 very hungry people having to sit and watch the theatre show. We asked numerous times as to where our order was and even advised we would have to cancel our order due to their delay affecting our onward plans, each time being advised that it was just a few minutes. We asked at 6:45 to speak to the manager again to be told they would be with us in a minute. This did not happen until they appeared as we left around 7:10pm. In addition, the toilet were not functional - one was block and almost overflowing, the other you could not close the door due to a maintenance hatch on the floor being raised and stopping it - there was no toilet paper in either- these issues were raised and highlighted to staff during the evening with not rectifying.

Booked a table. Upon arrival (early) no table available, they had given it away. Three other families behind me also booked (were on time) were also turned away. I’ve never experienced this before in any restaurant. Poor service, poor organisation and customers lost.

Jeez, what the hell happened tonight? Turned up at 6:45pm for a booked table for 7:15pm. Huge queue to get in with some people saying they were due in 6:15pm! People were being let in, before all of us, that hadn't even booked at all. Our order took ages to arrive and when it did, the main arrived before the starters! All of it was dumped on the table & everything was going cold as we couldn't eat it so fasr.. Alot of people walked out as they were fed uo waiting. the ladies toilets were honestly disgusting with one loo full to the brim with water and the other you couldn't use- the door would catch on the floor hatch placed just under the door itself.. so you couldn't close the door when using the toilet.. no toilet roll either! The bill was incorrect when brought over to us - things on it that weren't ordered! The restaurant was freezing- i had my meal while still wearing my coat! Really wish we hadn't bothered & stayed in with a take away!

I placed the order well in advance (13:15 and requested it for 18:00) it still arrived 45 minutes later than I'd requested. It was better than the last one I bought though, in as much as the toppings were actually on the base, but it hadn't been cut into slices. By the time I'd managed to do so myself, and we sat down to eat it, it was almost stone cold.

Overall good experience, service was quite slow but very busy. The pizza was very nice also.

It's a nice place and situated in the heart of the city centre. Can enjoy the nice food here .

Pizza was ok, but not much better than that. Halloumi bites were terrible and the pesto dough balls weren't much better. I never expect too much from mass produced pesto, but you can't compensate for lack of flavour by just filling the sauce with salt! Pretty disappointed for what, by delivery/takeaway standards, should be a semi premium establishment.

My pizza would probably have been fine, if only the courier had transported it in a flat position rather than on its side. All of the toppings had slipped off and I was left with a bare base and a collection of toppings in one side of the box. 😠

We had an excellent experience at pizza express yesterday even though it was busy. The staff were very friendly and helpful, they made sure we were never left waiting too long during the busy lunch rush. They were even able to light a birthday cake I had brought with me and bring it over to the table! And never made it seem like too much for them. Unfortunately I cannot remember the name of the waitress who severed us but I would like to give her a special thanks for making our experience so wonderful. The food was very good, hot and fresh. I liked you could see into part of the kitchen and see the pizza being made.

I had a Romana Florentina and my wife has a Romana Podana. In both cases the pizza base was leathery in texture making them very hard to cut and chew - a fundamental error. The Podana topping had too little goat's cheese (mainly rind), too much raw onion and far too much onion jam; in short the ingredients were very unbalanced. My Florentina topping was equally underwhelming. If we had not been in such a hurry to get to the cinema we would have asked for both pizzas to be replaced. 10+years ago we were normally satisfied by the quality, but this is the second time in 2 years we've been disappointed. Pizzas are the simplest of food to make, so it has to be delicious to warrant the large price.

My sister came up with her partner and she asked if they cater for coeliac disease and they said yes. So they said everything was gluten free. Turns out it was a right lie. She has been so ill now since. Disgusting how in this day and age people with intolerances still can't eat out because either people lie or aren't careful enough to not cross contaminate. I get it can happen by accident, but to be Reassured that it was all edible and clearly wasn't is horrendous.

Incredibly rude staff member that was uncalled for. Went to pick up a deliveroo order and the bag was left on the side, so I checked the order number on the bag lifting the receipt with my hand as no one around when i waited at the front then a woman started shouting at me not to grab it, I did not grab it just checked the order number on the bag as that's my job and sometimes the orders do get left on the side.. anyway she proceeded to have a go at me as she brought a bag over and then kept saying 'we don't grab you ask over again' talking down to me like a child and just left the food on the side rather than giving it to me. I then told her you don't have to be rude slightly confused and thrown back by this hostility and she snapped at me saying im not being rude and stormed of.. it was very strange and uncalled for. The other pizza express down St Benedicts has a much better atmosphere with lovely staff who are friendl, professional and welcoming so anyone comparing the two would be better of going there if that's how they treat thier colleagues

Came with my family for a nice meal, was not nice. Very overpriced, they don’t understand how the 50% off works? The lady who served us for our whole order wrong we asked for extra mozzarella, they sent a pizza with no cheese. 2 of the pizzas didn’t even show up. My sister ordered a appetiser they bought her an elderflower drink. Got told the 2 pizzas that didn’t arrive would be a few minutes, was sat waiting for 25 minutes and we had places to be so had to cancel those two orders, the lady didn’t even offer to put them in takeaway boxes, no compensation was offered just a small apology. Not a great experience. She also put through the more expensive pizzas rather than the classics so ended up paying more again

Lovely lunch meal at Pizza Express. Booked 30 mins before meal time just in case, but wasn’t busy. Food was lovely and so was the service. Restaurant is in a nice relaxed setting in the forum, plenty of tables inside the restaurant and in the main forum. Will be coming here again!

The staff were overrun with people and tables, we had to ask different staff for a food order, then ask someone for coffee and then ask for the bill. We were not the only people to not be seen by watering staff. I think it was probably not enough waiters and way too much seating available. However the service was slightly rude when we had to ask for food and drinks orders, after waiting 30 mins.

I assume too many bookings taken as after 1 hour and 20 mins we had got starters but no main meals in sight. All tables around us having same issue. Ended up paying for what we had had and leaving. To be fair they did knock 1 starter off the bill.

The food tasted great, and arrived still hot which was great considering the size of the order. The only thing that would have helped is labelling the boxes so that we could easily identify each pizza, without having to open each box.

It was three hours late. Terrible service and couldn’t get hold of the restaurant.

Over an hour late. I am diabetic so this is really not acceptable. The pizza was nice so its a shame I won't order again.

Because of Jack we will be back! Superb experience from beginning to end. Jack genuinely enjoyed serving us and we enjoyed and felt very privileged to be served by him! Perfect amount of banter with a bit of light humour. All topped off with some great food, made for a really nice enjoyable evening. Best meal out for a very long time. Thanks Jack & Pizza Express 👍🏼

Food was quite cold & seemed to have minimal toppings

Pizza's were nice ish. Not so nice was the fact that it kept delaying the delivery time on the app. Which meant that most of the party had to leave as the taxi arrived, without having eaten. The Pizza's also arrived luke warm and not cut. The doughballs were very nice though! Not sure if I'll be spending another £40+ here anytime soon.

Used to love Pizza Express, but this is not a good example. Had to return our pizzas as the bases were not cooked through.

When we got to Pizza Express at around 7pm, it was evident that it was very busy with few staff. Majority of the seating is outside of the restaurant in the building atrium. We were seated right at the far end expecting to be ignored. Whilst it took a while to order our food and drinks, we were well attended to. Not long after ordering our food, the restaurant started emptying out. We were told later that this was due to a football match and theatre matinée. Food arrived very quickly, and was to Pizza Express' usual standards. Once eaten we proceeded to desserts. We all left feeling full and content with full tummies.

Food is always amazing, kind and caring service. Family favourite and always feel welcome when eating here.

The driver dropped our food and didn't say sorry, he said it was the box . It was disgusting hardly any hallumi fries never again .

OK but they never cut pizza up so you have to muck about trying to cut into equal slices when it arrives. If you like one massive "slice" of pizza this is the place for you.

Won't be ordering from here again. Some food arrived cold, some not cooked properly. The main courses were a reasonable size but the sides..... well the chips were £5.95 and for that we got 7 chips, yes almost a pound a chip! the garlic bread is £4.95 and was the size of a woman's hand. Sides are definitely not worth the money!

Service is friendly and efficient. Food is great with loads of choice. Sitting out on the bridge gives great views of the city but can be a little like an airport departure lounge

Not too bad. The food was ok, but I'm not sure I've ever waited so long for a pizza. Didn't think it was particularly busy, maybe they were short staffed.

I can't believe it but my pizza was delivered in an upright bag...the pizza was completely folded over, which isn't any good for the toppings! Blows my mind the level of stupidity to send a pizza out in an upright bag...not a cheap order either so my treat ruined. Thanks for nothing!!

My wife and I shared a lovely evening meal here together. I enjoyed the American Classic pizza with a side of dough balls. When not too busy, The Forum Pizza Express is quite pleasant.

Eating in gives you one of the nicest restaurant experiences in Norwich. Unfortunately, when getting delivery, i got a crushed pizza with hair on it, stuck on the dough and dough balls that were rock hard. Very disappointing food quality,

Food was great and a really nice location. Very hot inside due to so many windows and no air conditioning (but we are in summer). Staff are friendly.

Under the table was really dirty but the waitress came straight away and swept it up. Food tasty and came quickly. Waitresses pleasant and attentive.
