Pizza Express in Dudley

It was during the week and it was late so there wasn't much open but it had been a very long day so needed a descent meal. I had a pizza thin base. It was the best pizza that I had eaten at pizza express. So tasty and fresh.

On a very quiet Saturday evening, this was something of a shambles. Wait staff and chefs routinely went out the back for a cigarette- sometimes leaving the back door open in the cold December night. Starter poor: mozzarella with tomato, as no halloumi sticks available and mains better, then waiters sent to sort out the freezer upstairs, although it sounded as if they were joining us downstairs..Desserts just as uninspiring and no coffee as cream was apparently not available (CUSTOMER TIP;- use one of the five waiters doing next to nothing, to walk 5 minutes to WAITROSE and purchase some SIMPLE MANAGEMENT it was 7.00pm Saturday).This just emphasis the lack of management, and one able to take responsibility.

We decided to go for dinner here and had not booked but to be honest it never seems busy. Staff friendly and the waitress Gloria looked after us.The menu isn’t traditional Italian but more America with lots of different hot spices and chilli Gloria explained what was on the menu and I decided to go with the lasagna and salad whilst my husband and son went for a more spicy pizza. We also ordered a garlic cheese bread ( which was rather small ) and dough balls ( again small )Overall it was nice but expensive for what we paid. However have learnt since that if you go on there web site they have daily deals with discounts which makes meals a more realistic price.

There's always a voucher to be found, so don't pay full price. Today we used a 2-4-1 mains offer and the food was nice. Service was very slow and the drinks were expensive. There is more atmosphere in a bus shelter. You pays your money, you takes your choice.

Went for dinner this evening with my husband.We go regularly but unfortunately tonight something had happened behind the scenes which we weren’t made aware of on arrival We were kept waiting - along with other diners Food as usual was very good however on this occasion the service was shocking But thank you Kieran for your sympathetic outcome to this evening It wasn’t the disaster we anticipated

This PizzaExpress restaurant, located in the High Street, Stourbridge is an ideal place to find a good, well prepared Italian dinner. We have eaten there a couple of times when visiting that town and have been very satisfied with the food each time. When we were there recently we sampled the delicious thin based American Hot, my wife going for a delightful Leggera version of the American hot. Leggara being a classic sized pizza of wholemeal dough but with a large hole in the middle that is filled with salad, thus making a nice light dish. Excellent and we will returm to this establishment when next in Stourbridge.

Lovely time spent with family. Staff very friendly food very good. Would recommend for a get together.

Came in late december while visiting a friend over this way. The service was fab, drinks taken straight away, and the food order that followed was prompt also. While i cant remember his name, our server was fantastic, engaging with us and looking like he was loving his job, which is always great to see!! Both the diavlo and pollo forza romana pizzas were tasty, the same could be said for the tiramisu also!

My partner and I visited on a Wednesday evening for a midweek treat. My partner has the Meerkat meal deal thing on her phone which affords one the buy one get one free deal. We had some difficulty accessing the screen that the restaurant require. A very helpful young member of staff helped us. He was so pleasant and welcoming. We both had a Diet Coke and a Fiorentina pizza, olives, spinach, garlic oil. So, so tasty. We were very hungry and demolished them very quickly. The bill came to £15.50, excellent value for money. The restaurant is very warm and inviting. We then walked 6 miles home and walked off the pizza. Great night, will definitely return.

As a family we can be tricky - we have gluten-intolerant, dairy free, soya free people. However the guy in Pizza Express Stourbridge could not have been more helpful. Great food, great service, thank you!

Re-visited our local branch after quite a gap since of our last visit and were pleased overall that our dining experience was just as good as previously.

Went to this place last night, great starter could not fault it, but when it came to my main it was very disappointing. A bolognese sauce. With pasta tubes and shavings of Parmesan. It was more like a tin of tomatoes with what was supposed to be meat in, all you could taste was sugary toms. Sent it back but basically came back the same. Not cheap either . Very disappointed.

Visited for pizza and pud for a friends birthday

We have dined here twice now. Mothers day and for a birthday in June. The food is excellent as you always expect and the staff are brilliant especially with the kids!

Standard Pizza Express at the top of High Street. Parking can be a challenge. It's laid out nicely inside and looks quite smart. No problems!

The food as usual is wonderful, the staff are very attentive without feeling swampted. Our food from starter to sweet was in perfect timing, everything fresh and tasty. the staff work hard to make a very enjoyable evening.

Haven't been to pizza express, the mood was very light and did not feel rushed at any point. Very attentive and engaging wait staff. Garlic butter very fresh compared to what is served in London and all food that needed to be served hot arrived hot so kudos for that.

Hadn't been in years so thought we'd give it a try for my daughter's birthday.. Nice enough food, but nothing special lacking the wow factor. Waiting staff were good, found it a bit expensive for pizza in Stourbridge.

I won't post the pics, but have sent them to their HO. Firstly I'd gone to the loo which was filled with excrement and toilet paper, so I flushed it. It then filled even more (at this point I'm now heaving and trying not to vomit over someone else's waste!).

I ordered the diavolo pizza as i love hot food. When i tried it there was no spice at all. The menu stated i could pick which chillies i wanted, wasnt asked this question when o ordered. The waiter did bring me over extra chillies and 'hot' sauce when i questioned if i had the right pizza. Didnt really help. Pizza remained bland. Wine was only ok, only had 1 choise of rose. Waiter was helpful tho and did best to correct suituation.

You know what to expect. Good food in a nice environment. Pizza, pasta, salad, garlic bread, etc. All good but not amazing.

My friends and I had a lovely evening at Pizza express stourbridge. The staff were great and i couldn't fault the food and wine were excellent. The only reason I haven't given a 5 star rating was because the tirimasu that I ordered was forgotten about.

Always great tasting Italian food. Service is pretty quick and friendly. Really good value with Tesco vouchers too!

To be honest Pizza Express in various locations is a regular habit. This was excellent, really great quality, everything cooked just right! Well done.

We contacted Pizza Express before leaving the Safari Park estimated how long it would take to get there and booked a table for Four Adults and Two young children. The staff were lovely when we arrived after a very busy day out, we had very tasty hot food, the service was excellent and it was the perfect end to our Grandson's 3rd Birthday. I would highly recommend this Pizza Express, although we were not able to park as close as we would have liked we found spaces for two cars in the next street.

Personal se disculpó y tomó mi pizza de la factura, entonces dijo que debía visitar para que me lo hizo. La noche siguiente volví y mi pizza era queso gratis, sin embargo, lasaña de mi pareja salió de burbujas alrededor del borde pero frío en el medio. Regresar la comida y él me senté viendo comer hasta su segunda. "Nos prometieron personal probaba" pero sí, puedes adivinar, exactamente el mismo, caliente y frío en lugares en otros. Had a family meal for 6 to celebrate a 3 year old & their grandmas birthdays. Positives:We all enjoyed our food & there was a pretty good variety to chose from.3yr old enjoyed the colouring in & kids menu.Not so positive:Service was a bit unfocused, we had starters & then the 3yr olds starter on its own. We had to catch people to take drinks orders a few times.It isn't cheap for what it was, getting 40% of the bill with an NUS card made a big (£50) difference.Lovely building & pretty reliable Pizza Express fare.

Pizza express is one of my favourite places to eat, great service, lovely and friendly staff and food is always great. However on my most recent visit I was very disappointed with the removal of the bosco salad from the menu. This is my favourite dish in the world. Which has been messed with firstly with the avocado which had rudely been replaced with artichoke. However while avocado is nicer in the salad I can deal with the artichoke as it's surround by yummy garlic mushrooms. However to remove the bosco all together meant that as a vegetarian I struggled to find something to eat. This is a popular dish and I hope it will be put back on the menu soon. Also as a vegetarian my favourite starter was the vegetarian antipasto which has been removed from the menu for a good year or so. This too was a bad move as instead of enjoying a large starter with my other half we now have to settle for the smaller less filling starters. I understand that the menu needs updating but if old classics like the bosco need to be removed could they be replaced with a similar vegetarian alternative. While the new veggie options look good they do not compare to the bosco.

Pizza express is good standard fare- but here the extras were very good.1 Staff were very welcoming, and gave the feeling they were really pleased for you to be there.2 A large print menu was offered without it being asked for when the waitress was aware of a sight problem.3 Toilets modern and clean, with in the ladies toilet a high hook for coat and a medium hook for handbag.Thank you.

Went for Sunday lunch with childrens birthday party and the food and staff were amazing the food was lovely and the place very clean but top marks go to the staff who were so patient and helpful with the children. Special thanks to Kieran and the lovely lady who showed us to our table and cleared it sorry i didnt get your name who were brilliant with our group of noisy boys you need a pay rise. A big thumbs up as you made the childrens day.

I popped into Stourbridge for the day and a little after lunch time wanted somewhere to eat with a nice ambience and quality food and you can't get better than Pizza Express in Stourbridge. The moment I entered the restaurant I was greeted by Rachel who along with two other waiting staff made my visit comfortable and relaxing. Opting for a vegetarian option I asked for the Pennette Formaggi as a main along with polenta fries finished with chocolate fudge cake and ice cream. The food was cooked to perfection and the dessert, the icing on the cake. The restaurant was busy and I was solo dining but Rachel and all the staff ensured that I was very well looked after. I look forward to visiting again.

Well worth a visit. As Pizza Expresses go, one of the best visited. Plentiful food, pleasant and helpful staff. Nice table without having booked, restaurant popular at 6.30 weekday evening (Wed) , no delay for food, nicely served. Restaurant warm (Feb) Toilets spotless.

I found the food excellent and the staff most helpful , I would have to say however that I found it a tad expensive . Having said that I must be in the minority to pass this comment as the place was rammed at the time of visiting mid week so it must be very popular

Friendly staff, good food, pleasant atmosphere, good value. Menu has changed a bit since we last went to a Pizza Express about two months ago, so we could choose our old favourites & have something a bit different.

This Pizza Express is so friendly and go at least once a month with friends both midweek and weekend. Staff are always there to help and look after you well. Food is nice and service comes out quickly.

I meet regularly with friends here and we always have great food. Staff are always friendly too. Cant recommend enough!

Nice restaurant, very good food, portions could be a little larger but otherwise a very good experience. So good, that we returned a week later.

Visited before show at town hall so on a bit of timescale but they were able to accommodate us and service although not overly speedy was efficient enough and very friendly. Restaurant has pleasant ambience. We had downloaded a voucher w two courses for £10 which offers limited starter choice but big scope on mains. My hubby had Sloppy Giuseppe which is an old favourite and I tried the new Pianta which was vegan and very tasty..mushrooms spinach garlic pine nuts chilli rocket etc. We generally go for the dolcetti for pudding as you get a coffee of your choice or tea with a smaller dessert for same price as dessert and dont feel so stuffed. Cafe reale with figs in syrup and mascapone is delicious! Anyway all in all a tasty meal..felt full and just right but not too stuffed..and really personable waiting staff in a nice setting. If you can get one of the deals even better!

Was out in Stourbridge for the afternoon and evening, we had been visiting several hostelries doing something called the Wollaston run... and then into the Town Centre... we were looking for food but nothing seemed open as it was late evening... we decided tat he Pizza Express was the place to be... we were able to secure a table immediately though the place was quite full. Service was both pleasant and quick and the food ws superb, I would recommend the Romana Pizza's thin and crispy base and beautifully fresh toppings... total bill for 4 of us £82 without drinks so around £20 per head.Just what we needed to finish off a great day out

We had a lovely meal here. The manager was very accomodating and chatty. The deal for 3 courses for £12.95 was very good as you could have practically anything off the menu for the main course.When we left my daughter left her tablets on the table, and the waitress came running down the street, chasing after us to give them back! Now that's what I call service!

A good choice for quality pizza in nice venue which was an old cake shop. Pleasant staff with nice window views onto high street hustle and bustle. Sunday was perfect not to busy with on street parking outside. The choice and quality was very good even better if you can get an online voucher code for 30% off bill, perfect.

Made a return visit following a disappointing visit earlier in the year. Could not fault the service which was very efficient but the pizza was once again disappointing. Ordered a Romana pizza which has a thin base but is larger than the normal pizza so you pay a premium. Afraid that the topping was only enough to fit a normal pizza with a two inch ring of base and tomato around the edge. Had much better at other Pizza Express restaurants. My dining partner's Legara pizza was fine however cannot recommend and will not be returning.

Very impressed with the service we received here. Myself and 11 others decided to look for somewhere to eat at around 10.30pm on a Saturday evening after attending an event in the town centre, we knew this was unlikely as it was quite late but we saw online that this Pizza Express nearby was still open. Although this restaurant was due to close at 11pm they very kindly let us in, put some tables together and took our orders. We all only had one course but were probably in there for about 45 minutes (25 minutes ish after they were due to close too). There was no obligation to let us in at that time and work 30 minutes later than they should do but they did. The food was great too. Thank you ever so much for looking after us Pizza Express!

Went for a meal on Saturday night with 2 friends. We had a voucher for a free bottle of prosecco which was very nice. Service initially was good and food was lovely. When it came to paying the bill however it took a while for someone to come over to us, most of the staff were busy stocking up etc so weren't really paying attention. Overall a positive visit and will definitely be returning.

I visited this 'restaurant' on a night out in StourbridgeAs the evening progressed I was approached by a member of staff who told us to 'stop swearing' despite the fact that we weren't A man from a near by table then approached us and started ranting in our faces. Shortly after this we were asked to leave without explanation with threats that the police would be calledTo say I was fuming was an understatementTo my amazement the police arrived and we were treated like criminals for doing absolutely nothing wrong. Ok we might have been a little jovial but we weren't disturbing others or creating a nuisance and it was a Saturday night!I won't go into further details but dealing with the police was extremely harrowing and very heavy handedIn short this episode was very harrowing and the staff escalated it beyond all reason causing much distress I will never return to this establishment, having previously been a regular customer

Good choice of food but quite expensive so I'd suggest looking online for money off vouchers. We visited on a Saturday evening and it was very crowded in there. Four of us squeezed around a small round table so not much room for out food and drinks, and the staff had trouble getting past chairs to get to other tables

Called here on a Sunday evening. Music was loud and tried several tables. we were about to leave when a member of staff offered to turn the music down. The service was good but the pizza was very disappointing. The topping on my Romana pizza was very thinly spread. Usually impressed with this chain but this is the worst that we have visited. Usually use the Warwick branch which is excellent, will only give the Stourbridge branch another try as it is shortly to be come my 'local'.

Visited here on a Wednesday high street was like a ghost town but in here it was buzzing really busy Staff still able to accommodate us quickly service was friendly and efficient Pizzas were lovely well cooked a little light on the toppings and mine missing one altogether .... Any worries were quickly out right by staff Lovely surroundings does get loud as acoustics not great but definitely go back

We went to the newly refurbished Pizza Express in Stourbridge High St. as a mid-week treat. It is in easy walking distance from our home, so a nice stroll stimulated our appetites. Starting this review from the conclusion we both agreed that overall it was a well served, tasty meal in a very pleasant environment in our town - all very positive and no complaints. As we entered we were warmly greeted and politely escorted to a well positioned, clean and ready to go table for two on a raised area of the restaurant, quickly given menu's and asked if we wanted drinks. We weren't in a hurry and took time to chose from the extensive food and drinks menus. First we ordered a bottle of Merlot - this soon arrived and after a quick tasting we savoured a very pleasant bottle of wine at the perfect temperature. We found the pace of the meal entirely to our liking - not rushed, not interrupted and with enough space between courses to relax and chat. We had different types and flavours of pizzas which were well cooked and ample for even the largest of appetites - extra anchovies instead of tuna wasn't a problem !Garry, one of the hardworking chefs, also popped his head around to see if everything was OK with our meal, which was a nice touch. So, a spontaneous treat on a Wednesday night worked out fine for us and we spent over 2 leisurely hours at the table, ending with a farewell chat with Gloria, our waitress on the night, who we found to be friendly, professional and knowledgeable about the menu choices - thank you Gloria for your not insignificant part in making our meal most enjoyable. We will visit again in the not too distant future.

Decided to celebrate a family birthday here. Shown to a table which had been partly cleaned - cleaning cloth and spray bottle left, so we cleaned the rest so we could sit down to eat !!! Service was relatively quick but staff not very friendly, no smiles or chat !!! Food was okay, nothing memorable. Ate, paid and left. don't think we will hurry back, sorry.

Slow service incorrect food staff blaming each other ! Very poor and my meal was cold. Staff bickering not what you need to see on a bank holiday.

As Pizza Express is one of the biggest Italian chain restaurants in the UK, the food in this branch (as I always have and always will expect) was very good. There were six of us in our party and nobody said anything but good things about their starters, mains and deserts. Excellent food.However the service was extremely disappointing. It took a very long time to have our drinks order taken and then again with the food order, the arrival of the food, the pudding menu, the order of puddings, the arrival of puddings, etc etc. It was a busy evening, however that is no excuse for every element of the meal to take forever. I don't know whether this can be attributed to poor staff, or understaffing, but something's got to give!? Moreover, although our main waitress was very polite, at no point did anyone think to apologise for the wait, AT ANY POINT, and given how long we waited for everything, I was rather disappointed. A one off apology would have made me more lenient, but the fact it never came to be said shows either a lack of awareness or a total disregard for customers (or both) ? So go when it's quiet or be prepared to wait and wait and wait... However on the up side, the food is good, worth waiting for even, but that still doesn't excuse the strange service and the service ethics here.

Visited Saturday evening. Restaurant was very busy but the food was good as was the service until later in the evening. As the restaurant became quieter it seemed to be more important for the serving staff to replenish the wine shelves instead of waiting tables, and chefs to clean the ovens and mop the floors. We had to ask for the dessert menu and wait an overlong time for that and the coffee. Although the price of the coffees was taken off the bill we would rather have had a great experience. I don't think we will be back.

Best service in a restaurant for a long time. Really warm and welcoming as we arived, seated without any issue or waiting. Friendly Conversation whilst we were ordering our food, top marks for customer service throughout the visit. The food was amazing cooked to perfection and very accomodating as a vegan. Well Done.

I do eat here on a regualr occasion but it's always cold inside, so bring a jumper ! The acoustics are terrible which means it's also very noisey but the food and service are great so can't complain too much!

Four of us had pizzas at lunchtime in the week - three Romanas and a standard one. All of them were very tasty. Service was excellent, as always in my experience around different Pizza Express restaurants over the years. Got out just as a kids party started!

I can review this place in a few simple words..."For the price; excellant"We all know Pizza Express restaurants and what they deliver, this place is no different; good staff and good (reasonably proced - always a deal on) food.

Myself and my partner decided to go and visit here through a recommendation. I ordered a sloppy guiseppie and my partner ordered a meat feast. If you are sitting in the right spot which we were, you can watch the chefs actually cook the pizzas. There was not a long wait and the waitress was extremely efficient and polite. The only downfall was they ask if you want to tip the company rather than the individual. We chose to give the waitress a personal tip instead

We've eaten here on a number of occasions and on the whole it's a nice place to eat. I'd say pizza is best as the pasta dishes seem overly small and salty but the salads are nice. Once or twice the service was very slow but they get busy at weekends and staff are always pleasant enough.

The location is excellent in the town centre the service is attentive and efficient with the usual Pizza Express menu there's a wide choice available The tables and ambience are all good so will be returning again very soon

Very busy, but great food and wine, lovely atmosphere, attentive staff. Thought it might be a mistake as it was so busy but it was actually very well run. The pizza's were fantastic, and the wine, though a little expensive at £22, was a great bottle of Gavin.

Normal good food from Pizza Express but always find the staff here to be excellent .They always help and this time we brought some of our daughters friends for her birthday. Again nothing to much for them.

We stopped off here on the way home Sunday night after a day out, it wasn't busy so the waitress sat us in the window, we had cheese dough balls to start they were amazing, then the pizzas came yummy I had the solo 65 Romano style my husband had a hot and spicy .... Really nice pizza, fast service, polite service. For drinks I had a 250ml rose wine and my husband had a large peroni .... Drinks are expensive! I'd have given 5 stars but the restaurant was freezing and we ate our pizza cold ... Such a shame. But nice pizza

I love pizza express pizzas and they are always very accommodating and give us pizzas from the old menu when requested. Even better when you have either a discount voucher or a student NUS card.It a lovely restaurant and used to have fabulous jazz nights but has become much more family orientated and is a little too loud now for my liking so we order takeout instead.

I've visited many Pizza Express restaurants over the years and really cannot remember having a bad experience. The Stourbridge restaurant is no exception. Always welcoming and friendly, and the food always tastes fresh.

I recently had my baby shower (11.10.15) at pizza express, and all I can say how amazingly fantastic they were. We had upstairs all to our selfs, my friends were able to decorate the table and the room.We were there on a Sunday afternoon, and had excellent service, food and an excellent atmosphere. Our waiter was very good, he was able to give us 100% throughout our stay. We didn't share him with other customers which was excellent. He was attentive, without being intrusive.My friend had a voucher for us to us and for 17 of us I thought it was great value. The food was fresh and hot we weren't left waiting for long. All hands on deck so to speak when it was ready and clearing of the table. If I was to have another large gathering I wouldn't think twice about booking the venue again.Thank you for making my baby shower a really happy experience and a rememberable day!

This is my local . Very nice friendly staff . Cheese cake is the best ! Order a piece when you order your starters and mains as they sell out quickly .Mixed ground of customers .Wait until later in the evening if you want a romantic / adult night out .... Tends to be full of kids if you go to early.Love the older waitress with the tatts.We sit in the window seats on a fri or sat evening as its so entertaining watching the night life people emerge ... . Good fun x

Visited with a few work friends before we headed back to work. We were treated by friendly staff who couldn't do enough for us. The food along with the service was brilliant. This was my first visit and will definitely be visiting again.

Pizza are lovely and made fresh on the premises. I had one of the low calorie ones with salad served in the middle. They didn't have risotto my partners first choice so he chose lasagne. This was disappointing and was very flat and looked like it had been microwaved. Drinks are expensive. Service is always good whichever branch you go to. We had desserts again - they offer a low calorie one.

First time to a Pizza Express in about 10 years so decided on the local one. Didn't have to wait long for food or beverages but the only downside was that I asked a question about one of the pizzas on the menu and the waitress couldn't answer the question as she didn't know the answer about what type of meat was on a particular pizzaFood was lovely and very filling, will definitely visit again but may try another branch!

My wife and I visited recently but realised early on it was a mistake. Our starter was average and main meal not much better, we added a side salad which was a joke, I have had a bigger garnish on a burger. If you want pizza go to Pizza Hut or Dominoes, and go to an authentic Italian if you want pasta as you'll get better value for money..... It's a good job we had a voucher to take away some of the pain of the bill, there's a first for everything and this was definitely the last...

Visited at Saturday tea time after a tiring day out shopping in Birmingham. The restaurant was packed and very busy but staff made a table for us. We could see it was very busy and the staff were stretched but cheekily told waiter/manager that we were very hungry and didn't want to wait ages for food. Our meals arrived approximately 4 minutes after we ordered and were served with energy and smiles. Inspirational performance after a long day at the shops.

2nd time visit. Restaurant was busy but were seated immediately. Wait for our drinks order was at least 10 mins, starters half an hour, mains nearly an hour. I had to chase up the food to which I was bluntly told it won't be long. I don't mind waiting if I'm kept informed and we were served a long time before neighbouring tables who were seated before us. Food was nice but the service was terribly slow. It was evident they needed more staff and the kitchen couldn't cope with the restaurant been busy. Doubt I'd return on an evening again

The food is as you would expect the same as any other pizza express however, each time I have bustled it has been awfully quite, for me this is not an enjoyable atmosphere. I have previously been with family and we have been the only customers there. I found that it is very short staffed however his May not be an issue if there is only a couple of customers. I believe I was seen to by the manager who I must say was extremely pleasant and very helpful. Overall I would visit again but it would not be my first choice.

We visited on Friday with a large, mixed group after a team event. The staff were friendly and helpful and the food was good, as always. We will be going back.

Great staff and ambience, much prefer the food here to other greasy, stodgy pizza chains. Catered well for our big and complex mix of adults and children group. Use regular and will continue to do so !!!

I use this place often. The staff are fab here, and much better then some other local pizza expess's.Food always nice.

I know it's a chain but you can't fault what they do. A lovely thin crust Romana pizza and a bottle of wine. Waitress was grumpy until the bill was being sorted then started showing an interest. You know what you get and always good so will return repeatedly.

This was my first visit at a Pizza Express and I was very dubious about the menu and what to opt for. Staff were very helpful in recommending dishes although were a little pushy for us to spend as much money as possible. For example, we were pressured into trying famous "dough balls" which I was simply dissatisfied by, both by taste and price. The atmosphere is comforting and accommodating especially considering we forgot to book a table. I am yet to visit another Pizza Express.

We visited pizza express with family. The service is prompt and very friendly. Our waiter made helpful suggestions on the menu and even changed one dish to suit requirements perfectly. The food is always excellent, it has a great atmosphere and staff are wonderful . Highly recommended.

I like Pizza Express as you always know what you will get. You'll get good, if not spectacular food, good service and a price that makes it seem all the better (particularly if you use of the often available vouchers).Pizza Express Stourbridge is no exception to this. The food is pretty much always quickly served, very tasty and exactly what you expect. The drinks too are always perfectly acceptable, if a tab expensive. Service is always good too, quick and efficient even on a busy Saturday night.

I arranged my daughter's birthday party at Pizza Express. The children had a great time making their own pizzas and then getting to eat them afterwards. They were all very proud of their creations. The team looked after the children and parents brilliantly, very friendly and patient, The food was also very good quality - the children had crudites and dough balls to start, and then the joy when their very own pizzas were served was really great to see. They had icecream for dessert and the staff were able to arrange another icecream for a spare sibling who turned up towards the end of the party. The children all had a wonderful time, and the best thing was no clearing up afterwards.

First class pizza verry tasty. My partner is coeliac and the choice of gluten free food was great. Clearly marked and plenty of choice. Very good find.

I have been here before and the staff are consistently good, especially with children. They explain the menu options well when it's not clear. I can highly recommend this PE.

First time in this particular PE but I have visited many others all over the country. The place itself is a bit dingy I think and the floor was not too clean looking. It is crying out for some updating. The meal itself was good the same standard as other PE, the service was good and the waiter was very pleasant and chatted to us for a while. Not sure I would go back unless I was in the area and really desperate for a Pizza.

Pizza express i just a nice good quality restaurant i visit this one so many times as its in my local area.

Joined my sister and her family for a birthday pizza. The service here was very slow and our miserable waiter stuggled to make any conversation. It was a Saturday night and the place was half full, so no excuse really. The pizza's were great however, fresh, tasty and empty plates all round. This chain is a little over priced in my opinion. Glad my sister paid :)

Thank goodness we have visited plenty of other great restaurants in the Pizza Express chain to have not been put off by this one!To be fair, it wasn't a terrible meal. It just wasn't very good, and we normally get excellent food and service, be it in our local PE, or on one of the many others we eat at. Our main issue was our rather grumpy waitress. She was clearly harrassed by another table who we think were complaining about something, but she then seemed to take this out on the other tables too!The pizzas were ok, a bit too wet on the base, rather heavy on the passata, but still pleasant. What put us off was the fact that she ignored our polite request for some water, half way through the meal. We had to ask again and she then pretty much slammed the jug and one glass down on our table. We then asked another (nicer) waitress for another glass! Our kids were full up and had some pizza left over. We have frequently asked at other restaurants if it could possibly be boxed up and, without fail, other PE staff have been more than happy to do this. They always take it away, box it up and return it to you. Our waitress in Stourbridge handed my husband a flat packed box and he had to do this all at the table.I'm sure, without our rather surly waitress, I may be reviewing differently but I'm afraid our experience only merits a 3/5 service, and I think that's being rather generous. Our tip was only one third of what we'd normally have given because we only received one third of our usual service.We wouldn't return to this PE, and we've never said that before!

My husband and I visited Pizza Express in Stourbridge on a Friday evening with friends. We had booked a table online which was just as well, as the restaurant was full. The food was good and the waiting staff friendly and helpful. My only criticism would be that they were sometimes too quick to want to clear the table between courses, sometimes before we'd completely finished eating. We utilised a voucher for 3 courses for £14 a head, which we thought was excellent value, although the choices of starters and desserts was very limited. There was a good vibrant atmosphere in the restaurant, perfect for a Friday night out. We'd definitely return to eat here again.

We booked two tables (one for 6 people and one for 3 people) to accommodate my daughter's wish to bring some friends here on her birthday. The tables were for 17:30 on a Sunday and they had plenty of advance notice, despite this, we had to wait over an hour for dough balls and one hour thirty minutes for the pizzas even though we chased up on the orders several times. When the pizzas arrived, two were burnt and we received no real apology. Yet again we had to chase up for the deserts (from the picolini menu) and it was generally the worst experience I have ever had in a Pizza Express. I told the waitress that I wasn't going to leave a tip on this occasion as the service had been so poor and she took the hump to the extent that all the staff blanked us when we left - rude. Uxbridge needs to sort out Stourbridge this will not do!!
