Heard about this from a friend and can't believe it's been here in Prestonpans and I didn't know. The service was brilliant and the choice of food and home baking was extensive. My friend got a bacon roll and I opted for the fudge slice. Both were fab. The tea was in a mug - thanks so much. Really great value too. Will definitely be back.

A great wee cafe, good choices and friendly staff. Not the fanciest of cafes but that's what I'm looking for after dropping the kids at school. A huge breakfast for less than a fiver!

I often visit the Pitstop Café, Prestonpans which has a very good choice of sandwiches, rolls and paninis with different fillings and side salad. They also provide baked potatoes and other light meals, all reasonable priced. The staff are very helpful and pleasant surroundings. I would recommend the Café to local people and visitors alike.

This is one of those wee shops in a wee place that is just phenomenal!! I drive from Edinburgh to this shop because is it second to none!! Always stocked, delicious cakes aswell. I don’t often leave reviews because I’m really hard to please when it comes to service lol, the filling station deserve every word they are fantastic!! The ladies that work there are always banter too which makes it always a pleasure to go in.

On Saturday we had a fantastic relaxing evening with the family at the restaurant in Dunmuir hotel. So far I believe is the best place for food in town While waiting for our food we got a dominoes set from the shelves( which is decorated with lots of interesting stuff, from old books to some unique pieces from local artists) We played and spent some quality time all together My meal was a delicious Cod and mussels curry served with fragrant rice, my husband got a Venison Burger ( that evening special) that was insanely good. My son had fish and chips from the kids menu, that honestly looks like a normal adult portion, freshly made with a choice of wedges chips ( sorry not picture- he messed the dish straight away 😛) The top ten was our Haggis Bits served with a spicy sauce ( I don’t normally have Haggis isn’t my favourite thing) but this time I give the chance to try and they were so good. Definitely a must if you come in Dunbar For dessert we shared a selection of cheeses to finish the lovely wine and carrying on playing with dominoes The staff was very friendly and helpful, always ready to anticipate our needs taking our jackets away and asking for any assistance This Hotel and restaurant is dog friendly 😍

The place appears to be closed. I was in the area today and had hoped to pop in for a quick pint and a bite to eat, but found signs up saying that it was closed due to 'Electrical Issues' whatever that might mean. It was showing on Google as open.

Listen to the fab staff when advised on how your steak is cooked. It *will* keep cooking on the sizzling hot platter. Get it rare! Lovely late lunch.
