Pitstop es fácilmente mi restaurante favorito local. Yo simplemente no puedo decir suficientes cosas buenas acerca de la comida es buenísima, el servicio excelente, el valor increíble. Me he comido aquí innumerables veces y nunca he tenido nada, pero una gran experiencia.

Really friendly and cosy little place, lots of thought put into the food. The duck pho is the best I've ever had, so much so I keep going back for more. Definitely recommend it for a relaxed and informal meal.

It would be easy to just walk past this place without giving it a second look. Don't. Inside is a not overly impressive decor run by a charming friendly couple. The menu is limited (good sign...) and the food - OMG - is simply wonderful. Our group had a broad range of the items on offer, all were quite brilliant. All ridiculously cheap too. The best place, by a mile, in Kentish Town, and worth a journey to get there. So go, enjoy, and wonder why on earth there isn't a queue round the block to get in.

A regular at Carol's PitStop Cafe when working in Soho, finally made it to her restaurant. Food and service is excellent. From the duck rolls, prawn & chive dumplings to the signature Singapore noodles. All fresh, light, and most importantly, delicious. Nothing left on the plate. I know where I'm eating when I'm next in Kentish Town!

We love Carole's Berwick Street stall & were thrilled when she opened her restaurant. This is the third time I've had the pleasure of enjoying the Asian feast, highlights being Pork Bao, Duck Rolls, Prawn dumplings, Singapore Noodles (the best in London), Fragrant Chicken Noodles, Duck Rice & a Bento box with Crispy Pork Belly & Teriyaki Chicken. In fact everything served to our table was devoured with much haste and immense glee. Service is friendly and welcoming. We can't wait to head back again soon!

Popped in spontaneously, will be going back regularly. The menu and welcome was amazing. The food and service was then even better. Sing our friendly host was so awesome. We had the Ho-Sin Duck rolls, Prawn Dumplings and Singapore Noodles with a crisp cold white. With so many places to choose from in London sometimes they all roll into one! This one stands out! Amazing, look forward to our next visit!

I live in Kentish Town and eat out frequently - and PitStop has become a regular favourite. Every item I've ordered has been delicious, every single time. Quite easily the best Chinese food in the area - simple food but perfectly cooked. It's also incredibly good value. Can't recommend it highly enough.

Starters are delicious, and unlike many Chinese/ Asian restaurants they were freshly made. Dumplings soft and stuffed with prawns and veg. Duck wraps thick and juicy. Noodles tasty and well seasoned, not terribly spicy. And cheap. We brought a bottle and paid corkage of £4, which we thought reasonable. Lovely service, and v attractive simple wooden tables and benches. Great addition to Kentish Town.

Really good tasty South East Asian food. Singapore Noodles were delicious and good sized portion. Attentive service and not crowded but just right. Was a bit of confusion regarding BYO. The restaurant still does it but seems to discourage it as they now have a licence. All in all a relatively cheap place with lots of good points.

Pit stop is one of those rare lucky finds offering much more than you'd expect given its location. There is nothing pretentious about this place just honest crisp, clean and healthy Asian food leaning in the direction of street food. We had a combination of duck pancakes, prawn dumplings, seaweed and what I think should be the restaurants signature dish, crispy porky bao, which was incredibly delicious. We then went onto have prawn Char Koay Teow which was just great too. The homemade chilli oil was also perfect. I've been to Hong Kong, Singapore, Bangkok and Penang and would put it on a par with the best food in all of those cities. The service was very good and excellent value for money. Don't miss this place.

We went into PitStop, which had really nice plain wooden tables and seats and a good environment, although not very inviting or prepossessing from outside. The food was astonishing - some of the best Asian food that I have ever had - and I am a fan. We had a scrumptious spicy Asian noodle dish with prawn and egg - can't remember the name - and a really good spare rib bento. Very good firsts like duck rolls and other delicacies. I have been several times now and enjoyed the food enormously each time. Strongly recommended. And nice sociable family hosts/cooks. It is new and not very well known, but deserves to succeed.

Being a local in Kentish Town, we decided to eat at PitStop as last time I got a take away. They are so friendly and welcoming, the same wonderful welcome from previous visit. We ordered the duck roll and prawn and chive dumpling, oh my word! They were both absolutely delicious!! They were clearly homemade and the dumplings was out of this world! We loved it! Then we ordered the roast duck bentos, again the duck was just as you would find in Chinatown but my personal opinion the roast duck was way better! More delicious and the portions was very generous. Being half Asian and brought up with my Asian family, I have to say that the food here will NOT disappoint , home cooked with care, and we can clearly see that they really care about their food. Seeing everybody at the restaurant was clearly happily eating away. This will be our definite place to go to as our local, can't wait to eat our way through the rest of the delicious menu ! Thank you Pit Stop for being here!

I don't know what planet all the other reviewers are on! The caff was empty when we arrived for our booking and continued to be so until we left an hour and a half later: we ordered 2 starters the first being pork ribs which was tasty but a tiny portion for £5.50 - if one goes to dim sum restaurants such as Yum Cha Camden Town or Royal China Baker Street one would be charged less for a serving of these. For our other starter we shared a Bao (crispy pork) - expecting a steamed bun what was placed before us was more like a pita break with a mean portion of pork and then cucumber and some shredded spring onion.Much more generous were our Assam belly pork on steamed rice and crispy duck on fried rice, but they weren't particularly inspiring especially the duck. The service was scowling, we only saw the proprietoress really - when we asked for some sauces to spice up our rice dishes she brought me some gravy and only when she saw me muttering to my dinner companion did she proffer a chilli sauce. Then to charge a 12,5% service charge! Not for a place such as this - really one needs to be smart to incur this larger service charge! It really is mainly a takeaway it appears.

Tiny café with amazingly good Chinese food. All home-made. Had Prawn and Chive dumplings, a Crispy Pork Bao and Duck Fried Rice....which is bits of shredded duck in fried rice. And I have eaten fried rice in lots of eateries....and I have no hesitation in saying that this was by far the tastiest of them all! I will return...I want to work my way through the rest of their menu!

We popped in before meeting friends in the pub and had a great time. Short and easy to understand menu with a great range of options. We found it difficult to choose so had prawn noodles and the 2 meat bento box and shared. The meat (bbq pork and pork belly) was delicious (one was served cold) and a good portion with the rice and edamame beans - so tasty! The noodles were also good. Relaxing interior and nicely furnished, although no music so felt a bit quiet as we were the only ones in there. But great for a quick 'pitstop' meal. Very friendly host / owner of the cafe chatted to us.

The lovely Carol and her family have created a really authentic southeast asian menu, with cantonese and malaysian favourites. The Char Koay Teow is the best in London, (and as a Penang native, that's a huge complement!) Other items on the menu are also excellent: the honey roasted pork, the crispy roast pork, roast duck, assam belly pork, duck rolls, dumplings... it was just a scrumptious meal. I will be coming back often.

I'm a Kentish Towner and wanted to try something new. Pit Stop hit all the right spots. The atmosphere was stylishly street-wise hip, and the food delicious. I ate the sea bass with ho fun noodles. The fish was perfectly pan seared in a wok with noodles sizzling in spices. Price was very reasonable and service very attentive. I met the owner, Caroline I believe (I'm bad with names), who has a street stall in Soho. This is her first expansion beyond. I wish her luck. I hope that fellow Kentish towners will enjoy her latest addition to our community as much as I did. And Ohh, try a scoop of green tea and sesame ice cream if you opt for dessert. It's yumilicous!

We ate at Pitstop KT this evening and had such a lovely experience. The staff were friendly without being overbearing or false. The menu was sensibly limited but provided sufficient diversity to afford something for everyone. We had the duck rolls and prawn dumplings to start followed by the bento boxes with the delicious soya chicken, crispy pork (belly pork had sold out) and roast duck. It was a well balanced meal which didn't leave us feeling uncomfortably stuffed nor overly greasy. Although situated at a less obvious spot on Kentish Town Road I would thoroughly recommend seeking it out to support a great local and independent eatery.

Six of us went to pitstop for my girlfriend's birthday before going to a gig in Camden. I had emailed before as I was worried about getting a table for 6 and carol got back to me straight away. We had mixed starters - all were great but loved the pot stickers. Also carol gave us some amazing ribs to try which is probably order next time. Then most of us had bento boxes with varying meat combos. It's a really good way to be able to try all the flavours (you get rice, meat, edamame and some pak choi). The duck was incredible and those who had pork belly really enjoyed it. Warning - It's a lot of food if you've had starters! For desert we shared some sesame and green tea ice creams along with carol's famous brownies. Really tasty. All in all a really good addition to Kentish Town. Very reasonably priced (£20 each including drinks). We're looking forward to going back.

Sing and wife Carol, owners of the wildly popular Berwick Street Market trailer, have opened this low key restaurant in October, and already, this is a great success ! The menu is short, divided into rice dishes, noodles and bento. Starters of prawn and chive dumplings and signature “crispy duck rolls” are impressive at £5.50.Mains are great too: Singapore Noodles from £7.95 and their famous Bento Box from £8.95.Their signature dish is the roast duck: pillowy soft, it’s cooked in the oven for 45 mins, whilst retaining all the moisture...the juiciest duck ever. They don't have a licence to sell alcohol yet, so you are welcome to bring your own bottle of wine.

This place is amazing, been coming here for countless times now even after a long night shift. As a malaysian myself, I would say that the dish is quite authentic and suits to my tastebud. However there is one small comment that I want to make - would like to highlight that the ribs can be tough to chew sometimes (ordered ribs for around 4 times now and its always a bit tough, therefore starting to order chicken from now on) otherwise its usually great.
