It makes me laugh when people rate McDonalds and Uncle Sam's any higher than 2 stars, clearly burger amateurs. My son won't eat at McDonalds because the quality is rubbish. As a burger snob in the age if smashed patties, Pit and Pal are clearly the best burgers in Shoreham. Real burgers for real burger lovers

Friendly, helpful service. Very tasty vegan burgers. And the tofu poppers were great as well. Loved the special sauce! Definitely recommend!

Can’t give an opinion on the food as it never arrived. Ordered from just eat, delivery starting from 12 advertised on website. When it didn’t arrive I attempted several times to call the restaurant with no answer. Then checking restaurants website it states it doesn’t open until 16.00. So all I know is that my moneys been taken and I’m still hungry. Either way won’t be ordering again as this place clearly lacks simple organisation.

This used to be our go to takeaway because of the great staff and food unfortunately standard's have fallen well below standard in the last month 3 wrong orders cold food and rude staff

Very nice burgers, the beef and sauces are hand made and all is fresh. The person that attended me informed me that they also have hand made bacon jam for the burgers, I didn't had the chance to try it but for sure that next time I will do it. It is worthy to try the place and the preces are decent :)

We have been coming here since it opened. Always had amazing fries and burgers and to be honest our food wasn’t horrendous it was just nowhere near the quality we have had in the past. It’s a Saturday afternoon/evening and one person working. Most of time there are a few and a good atmosphere. Tonight was some different music playing which was totally different, the food was really messy and poorly cooked, it was a lot quicker and normally we are happy to wait because the quality is always top notch. Our burgers were quite cold, the buns were squashed and were just tasteless compared to what we have had before, the fries were skinny and again, not great tasting, potentially undercooked I would say. The man was nice but overall we feel reluctant to eat here again and this was our go to burger joint.

Chips banging, burger banging, :) everything fresh, so your gonna wait. But I think it's worth the wait, and for me best French fries I have had in yrs!!!!!

Food was average, chicken burger lacking a bit of something. You would be disappointed if you only got a single chicken fillet in a burger as they are tiny, even with a double i wasnt impressed. Waited 35 mins for a burger and chips during lunch break. I dont expect them to last with competition close by. I would say mcdonalds are actually better.

All I can really say, is. What a really amazing burger. Totally enjoyed it. Chips were really good too. All in all, a banging lunch. Would definitely visit again.

The chicken was delicious, the place is really good and quiet, prices are absolutelly fair for the quality of the food.

Tried Pit and Pal in hove for the first time on Monday: it was amazing. Super friendly stuff was just the perfect side to a great bite. Great burger, with some different and tasty favour combination (spiced mayo is top notch) and do not go out without trying the chips with the home seasoning!! Well done, we’ll be back ASAP! Also one of my friend is lactose intolerant: it was great to have so much choice for him as very often the bun of the burgers contains milk and no on seems to care. Thank you!

These guys work hard in limited space, given their popularity. Wouldn't want to eat-in due to lack of facility and noise but a great take-away and the best food. Enjoy. 👍

Always good, love the fries, either with the house or sriracha seasoning, burgers are tasty and I particularly enjoy the blue pal sauce. Nice vegetarian options. Recommend for a takeaway night.

we usually get delivery but we went in this time, the service was amazing, the two people on shift were so kind to my son and even put on music so he could dance whilst we waited! Awful,waited 2 hours,still hasn’t shown despite keep calling and being told it’s 5 mins away,now there closed and not answering calls,£34 spent too,absolute joke Now turned up and it’s freezing cold and almost 10pm,driver didn’t even apologise,all going in the bin and I’ll be calling in the morning for a refund,shocking

I hate having to leave poor reviews, especially for a small local company but tonights service was poor. Ordered 2 burgers, 2 fries and 2 drinks which came to £24.95. There was no option to pay by card online so called the shop to see if we could pay by card on the phone. Was told to go online and cancel the order ourselves and then call back. Decided to pay cash to save time, the driver turned up and told us he had no change for £30! Waited for him to scrape together the change in 5ps, the whole time our food going cold. The driver ended up arguing with me in the street! Called the restaurant, again to say we’d be waiting that long for the driver to scrape together £5.05, the chips were cold and the drinks were incorrect anyway. Whoever my partner spoke to agreed the driver should have had change and shouldn't have told us he didn’t but proceeded to argue that he didn't think our food would be cold. Poor and rude!

Lovely burgers, quick delivery and good prices. I would say that it is ideal for Shoreham and always love a local that rivals major chains.

We love pit and pal , burgers are usually spot on , daughter ordered a plain burger with just cheese and gerkins, came with everything covered in burger sauce, called to let them know , another one was sent straight away..amazing but it was the same, covered in burger sauce, was asked not to call back just leave a review about burgers, has put daughter off, normally nothing but fab usually x

I was so delighted and impressed with the menu and vegan options, food is served hot and absolutely delicious, highly recommended to try out. Ps the chipmayo is banging!

My second visit to this place and both times the food has been great, the Half Pig the first time around was great with the addition of some nice crispy bacon, this is a menu regular and highly recommend. This time around I tried their limited edition Jamming Pig with the addition of bacon jam (yes really) which was far more tasty then it had the right to be, this really needs to become a menu regular. Will definitely be visiting again.

WOW. Never before has such a depressing geography field trip been turned around so quick. In the short space of 10 minutes my day drastically improved due to the fantastic food this place sells.

My partner and i thought we would give pit and pal a go as we are burger snobs and love a good fresh patty in a bun! Weve been here about 4 times now and i have not had a bad experiance at all!! The counter/kitchen is rustic and welcoming. The staff are really nice and professional. I think its the owner or manager i always speak to but we always have a good chat! The food comes out within 15 minutes (if collecting) but i havent experianced delivery due to my location. I digress, i normally have the half pig as a meal but tonight i had the BBQ glazed chicken wings and they were.... well lets put it this way, its probably going to stay on my future orders!! The chips never fail to dissapoint as thier seasoning is lip smakingly awesome! All in all a meal, wings and an extra can of drink came to about £14 which is really well priced considering most places will charge more for a frozen and mass produced product! I would of taken a photo but it didnt last long enough. I will do my best next time!!

I've only tried the veggie burgers but they're superb. The chips are very good too. This is now my go-to local take away.

The fries were absolutely soaked in oil, the patties were burnt and thin like paper. Definitely not ordering from them again.

Delicious, 2 adult and 3 children tried Pit and Pal for the first time tonight and we wasn't left disappointed. Extremely tasty and will definitely order again! 4 stars and not 5 as it could have been a little hotter on arrival. Other than that, it was yum!

Tried both the chicken burger and the normal beef burger and both were amazing, buns are not your standard burger buns& the American cheese is very nice. Good customer service in the shop also.

Tastes better than any burger in Shoreham. Fantastic chips, like Five Guys. Very friendly and feels like eating real food, not fast junk food.

Portion size is definitely not worth the price. I added American cheese to the burger for £1, it was a thin slice of processed cheese that was not American cheese! The tofu bites are delicious but not worth £3.99. They are so tiny you could probably fit all 6 in your mouth at the same time and eat it as one single portion. Either they need to be MUCH bigger or lower the price. Very disappointed to say the least…

Tried this place for the first time when a friend and myself were out on our bikes having an evening blast last week. The burger I had was the best burger I have had for many many years. The staff were very friendly and you could tell they were proud of the burgers they were serving . I don’t give praise easily for food as I am a very accomplished chef but this place deserves the praise. Do yourself a favour and try one of the burgers. I will be back for more .

Situated conveniently on Shoreham High Street. A real mince meat American Style Patty with seasoned fries and refrigerated drinks. The best local venue in south Shoreham for a quick burger meal on the go. Has a front of house indoor dining area.

What an absolute embarrassment of an order! If I could give 0 stars I would! My partner felt sick half way through eating it and I couldn't stomach the thought of eating such repulsive food. First off the burgers were all burnt to a crisp as you can see by the pictures and literally tasted like cardboard, the size of the sauces is ridiculous, especially when you pay £1 for such a small tub and when you order two flavours but they taste the same?! The chips were over cooked and dry and tasted old and as if they had been reheated numerous times! I am a huge foodie and this is one of the first times I have not even tried the food due to the disgusting look and just the smell of burnt charcoal food. Very very disappointed, will not be ordering again! Ordered 4 burgers - all burnt, 3 came with chips - all over cooked, 2 sauces -tasted the same, and oh how could I forget...£3.99 for 4 yes only 4 tiny chicken wings...after spending over £50 you would expect brilliant tasting food, not something I wouldn't even feed to a stray animal.

Honestly one of the best burgers I have had in a while! Had a Half Pig burger and a staving size (Hank Marvin) and an extra piece of cheese and it filled me up I can tell you that for sure! Fries where tasty and had a ton of flavour on them also!

My family had a takeaway from here last night, we ordered a variety of beef, chicken and vegan burgers, different types of fries and the sweetcorn and it was all fantastic !! Everyone loved it...very yummy indeed!

I had a beef burger and chips. Ordered online with justeat for delivery! Food was good, especially chips! Probably best chips I have had from a takeaway in the area! Only thing I would change is how done the burger is, but that's a personal choice and not the takeaway doing anything wrong! Would recommend!

I chose the Kentucky chicken burger which was described as a chicken fillet deep-fried, it was the smallest piece of chicken fillet I have ever seen, smaller in fact then KFC is mini fillet but priced at £4 The fillet was dry and so small in fact it only took three bites to finish it and I threw the rest of the burger away, a waste of money if you ask me, shame as I was really looking forward to it. If you’ve ever had a deep fried chicken fillet burger at burger off in Brighton and then you’ll know what a real chicken burger should be like!

These burgers are incredible. My husband and I had been hoping for a new burger joint to open in shoreham and this did not disappoint. You can tell they are all made fresh and I think they’re the perfect mix between gourmet and fast food burgers. The homemade fries and wings are also very good, and I would definitely recommend the house seasoning for the fries! We had hoped to get them delivered but they currently can’t take card payments over the phone, so I hope this changes in future.

Excellent gourmet burgers and the home style fries were delicious. We ordered the wings (one of each flavour) as a starter and they were very tasty. We'll definitely be ordering again. A most welcome addition to Shoreham-by-Sea.

Underwhelming. Admittedly we misread the ‘butter brushed chicken burger’ thinking it was battered. Because when you see the words butter & chicken in the same sentence you assume it’s buttermilk. Anyhow, even how it was the whole chicken slice was just swallowed by the bun. Nothing special at all. My ‘half pig’ which I’m assuming meant guinea pig... wasn’t all that either. The beef tasted good - what there was of it. In an already oversaturated market for burgers... you either need to rethink your prices or rethink your portion sizes for the prices you charge. Also annoyed that I had to be forced to pay £3.00 delivery on justeat as they only accepted cash on arrival, why not accept card payment over the phone like every other local takeaway.

First time using this takeaway. Very polite service. Food was really nice, chose the chicken fillet burgers and a children's hamburger meal. The chicken was really nice as were the chips. Everyone enjoyed their food. Definitely a good addition to shoreham.

Pit & Pal have managed to do it!! they are now official my favourite burger in the BN area. I have ordered a few burgers for collection off the team, service was friendly and quick. Everything is delicious, the Fresh hand cut fries (got to try the special seasoning) the Uncle M's sauce. And the burgers are cooked fresh and seasoned to perfection. no shortcuts here just good food at a good price. See you next week :)

Myself and my partner have been meaning to try out our new burger joint and it did not disappoint!!!! We had x2 half pigs delivered and WOW nice and hot and the burgers were delicious 😋 The seasoning on the fries was amazing and the quality as well as quantity for the whole package and price was great. Washed down with a cold beer was perfect 👌 Well done we will be back!

Delicious burger. I had the Hot Pit burger. It had just the right level of spice and textures. The chicken wings, tofu dippers and chips were perfectly crispy. I wolfed it all down. The shop was clean, modern, and stylish. Definitely a step above other burger joints. Service was prompt and friendly. The guy behind the counter suggested I add chunky peanut butter to my spicy burger if I fancied something different and it was surprisingly good! Will definitely be ordering again!

Absolutely delicious chips- best I have had in a long long time! The southern fried chicken wings are also delicious, but I would order one of those each as they are a small serving. The “hot” burgers have good flavour but I found them to be very mild with no spiciness at all- next time I’ll ask for extra chilli. Chicken burger was a little dry, but very tasty. It really is great quality with a really affordable price, very quick too. Picked up within 15 mins. When I went to pick up my food though there were customers inside- so maybe make it a bit clearer to those waiting outside that pick up is ready! Or sign the door with how many customers can enter You’ll be seeing more of us!
