Pippin's Corner in Liverpool

We waited around 15 minutes for a table but it was so worth it! The food was fast and fresh, the coffee was lovely, the waitress was so warm and accommodating! They also paid attention to my dairy intolerance which can be hard to find. Will be rushing back soon!

Took my family here this afternoon, lovely service, even lovely food and the atmosphere was generally very welcoming. Will come again.

Amazing food, priced reasonably. Excellent friendly and swift service. Remember to take cash to tip as they don’t take card tips. The Halloumi salad with hot honey is enormous and delicious! Oh and the fat chips are something else!

Food was OK, items where missing off one of the breakfasts, service wasn't the best, don't think the place does well when it's busy, was presented with a bill for £88 which should of been £59, When questioned the waiting on staff there reply was I didn't do it was already done by the man behind the counter , I had to add it up off the menu infront of the waitress before she agreed to recalculate it . Won't be returning

I had heard so many good things about Lark Lane that whilst we where at Sefton Park we had to pay a visit. Wow what a busy, bustling, trendy place it is. I was impressed. We chose pippins corner from the many eateries and coffee shops available. I wasn't dissapointed. Wow it was busy. We where lucky to get an inside table as it was coming up to near lunch time. The servers where friendly and chatty and also helpful which is a bonus. The menu is varied but some options are only available after 12pm. I chose the eggs benedict which also had an option for a sausage to come with it for an extra £3 which I thought was a little expensive. The eggs benedict arrived and looked amazing. Poached eggs where perfect and runny when I opened them up, bacon tasty, muffin fresh and the sauce fantastic. Well back to the sausage and I now know why it was £3......top quality and tasty! Well worth the extra. I also had a Latte which honestly was the nicest tasting coffee I have had for quite a while. It wasn't too expensive for top quality. I will return in the future to try the items available after 12pm. I have my eye on the philly cheese steak!! Visit if you can 👍

Visited last week, was up charged double the price of the coffee, when i asked the barista not once, twice but three times to kindly explain why this was i was met with a lot of attitude. The order was refunded at least but to the dismay of the barista, and I didn’t get an explanation for the up charge, would’ve been more than happy to pay the normal, correct price.

Honestly an amazing stop for some lunch !! I got the hot honey halloumi salad which was absolutely amazing, paired with the garlic bread which was also very nice. It made for a light delicious dinner, plus the service was exceptional, the lady serving us was really friendly❤️ me and my friends all loved it xxx

I have been coming to this cafe for a couple of years and it’s always been great. However, the service we received today has been really disappointing. Two female waitresses had awful attitudes. We were waiting 35 minutes to be offered drinks and told that we couldn’t order food until our drinks came out. Then when my friend asked politely if they had forgotten our drinks the waitress spoke to her awfully and then continued to have a terrible attitude with us for the rest of the time we were there. Really really disappointing as every other time I’ve been it has been lovely. It’s put me off returning again.

I visited Pippin’s Corner over the weekend and enjoyed my overall experience, at times you may need to queue for a table but that’s always a great sign of quality food! Which Pippin’s Corner definitely delivers, I enjoyed my food, the atmosphere and overall service leaving me happy and feeling like I got value for my money. I’ll definitely return here in future and would recommend to anyone who likes this style of food or a classic English breakfast.

Lovely vibrant cafe on lark lane. Friendly and professional staff. WiFi available. Very tasty food (the smoked salmon with poached eggs and hollandaise is very good) and good drinks selection. Offers breakfast, brunch, and lunch as well as usual cafe options of sweet treats and drinks. Went for mother's day brunch and she loved it!

Tried here for the first time, after seeing so many great reviews. It definitely lived up to expectations! Staff very friendly, service really fast and food was delicious!

Cold, eggs hard but good quality ingredients just cooked bad

They don't take your food order straight away & I found the first waitress who insisted before saying hello she would only take my drink order quite abrupt in her manners. I waited a long time for the drink before even being able to order the food. Eggs Benedict was a bit bland & arrived cold. Tables are a squeeze, I spent my time trying to eat with people waiting and standing way too close to my food, which was not relaxing at all. In addition some inconsiderate customers with kids that let them run around and cause havoc. I ended up with a random kid under my table who was playing with a dirty tissue she used to wipe her sticky hands and nose. I ate watching that kid roaming and spreading germs with said tissue all over other people tables. The tissue and some food ended up thrown all over the floor, to the complete careless of parents, who found that super funny and cute. So unhygienic. I paid nearly £20 for a small breakfast and a drink in that kind of environment. I will not return.

Food is mediocre and over priced for what it is

Considering it’s £10 for a small breakfast with no drink the food was not good. My Sausage wasn’t cooked properly and my food had a hair in. Was refunded for the price of a coffee. Paid and will never come back

Stumbled across pippins corner. While out on a sunny afternoon in Sefton park with 4 children. We thought we would head down Lark lane for some lunch, and pipping's corner stood out to us as it had decent outdoor seating, we were seated quite quickly, and the staff were friendly and inviting. The menu was very good, fairly priced. And we all had a great time.

The cafe itself is good, the food is also good but I wasn't too happy with the service. When the waitress took our drinks order I told her we were ready to order our food she said I'll get your drinks first. We then had to wait until she brought our drinks before she took our orders consequently when the food arrived our drinks were cold. On top of that the smallish cramped cafe had lots of dogs in also. We are not fans of dogs in cafes. One big dog with its tongue lolling out with its head right next to our table was very off-putting

Lovely place to have an early morning breakfast. We went on a Saturday just after 9am and it was peaceful and relaxing. The food was delicious and good value for money. Coffee was great too! Service was friendly and fast. Would definitely recommend! Small and Large breakfast were brilliant.

Having started working next door in the pub I am quite the local in Pippins! The atmosphere is so lovely and the food is delicious! The staff are so welcoming and friendly and attentive! Big thanks to Dan who was great service today lovely guy

Coffee cold. Long 35 minutes wait for two pieces of cake. Victoria sponge heavy and stodgey. Waitress polite but slow, confused and on her own when you could see 6 staff in the back. Wont be returning.

We went to a brunch and we are very disappointed. When we arrived, the waitress couldn’t get our order for food, just drinks. Even thought we already know what we would like to eat, according to her, just was just authorized to get the food order after the drink arrived in our table. We ordered pancakes with fresh fruit and eggs Benedict. The pancakes had the same supermarket taste with a industrialize chantilly. Eggs Benedict was tiny with raw sausage. The drinks are ok! We paid 30 pounds which is a price that you can pay in the coffees around lark lane and have an amazing food/experience.

We visited for brunch, and there was no queue, making it a good experience. The food was general, overall the service was great.

Visited today. Staff not attentive in the slightest. Appreciate they were busy but an acknowledgment within 10 minutes would have been nice. Ordered the Brightside from the menu - extremely bland. So bad. Would not visit again.

On a really cold Saturday morning we found this place and there was a queue. Quickly we were seated and all the staff were lovely, explaining how the kitchen worked and supplied drinks very quickly followed by delicious food, we ordered a club sandwich and a big breakfast with fat fries as a side. Delicious, all cooked to perfection, the quality of all ingredients are outstanding but the fat were fries were divine and shone.Every customer seemed happy and pleased to be here, this is encouraging and we will definitely return, if you've not tried it you must, oh and great value..

It's a cafe. You sit down, order food, you eat it and then leave.

I entered craving a full English breakfast, and that's what I got. It was glorious! The food is delicious, and there's so much choice! My siblings tried the vegetarian English breakfast and was very pleased as well. The hot chocolate I tried was also extremely good. It was warm and chocolaty, and it had whipped cream with marshmallows, and it brought me joy. The staff is very nice and the place is really cozy. Absolutely recommended.

Called in yesterday for Sunday breakfast. I had the 4 on toast.....select your 4 from a list, my wife had pancakes. All food served freshly cooked and hot. Will be back again. Make sure you take some cash for a tip as they cannot accept tips on the pay machines.

Great place to have a bite and hang out with your mates and family or just pop in alone. I visited here after a walk at Sefton Park. Loved the interior design. Philly steak sandwich was delicious. Friendly staff, serves fast with a big smile on their face. It's open from 9 to 18. On weekends, it can be difficult to find seating. So, if you're gonna be there on a non-business day, better call for a reservation.

We stopped in for brunch and had the veggie bagel stack and veggie full English. The full English was great and a very generous portion. However, the veggie stack used basic Birdseye-style veggie fingers instead of real veggie sausages, which was disappointing considering the price. I would not recommend the bagels, but the service was good and the other dishes looked fine.

The cafe and the courier were really nice they put cling film around my tea made it easy for me and delivery driver and I requested milk and sugar and delivery driver made sure they requested that 😊

Lovely afternoon lunch, sat outside in the sun. The food and drinks were both great. We especially enjoyed the Haloumi Honey bagel, it was delicious. What made the experience stand out the most, was the excellent customer service. All the staff were so friendly and it really elevated the whole experience. This was our second time visiting and next time we’re at Lark Lane, we will definitely be back again.

Can’t recommend Pippins Corner enough. We have a few times now and every time the service has been excellent. The food and coffee is great and it has an all round lovely atmosphere. All the staff who have served us have been so friendly. Will definitely be back again 😊

Table Setup: Notably, there was only ground pepper, not freshly cracked, available on the table. Order Details: At 11:38 a.m., I placed an order for the Large Breakfast and a flat white coffee. I was asked how I would like my eggs (options were poached, scrambled, or fried) and whether I preferred white or granary toast; I opted for fried eggs and white toast. Coffee Experience: My flat white arrived at 11:44 a.m. It was served at a good temperature with a smooth taste, not burnt, and likely made from a light or medium roast, which suggests good quality beans were used. Great little spot on lark lane with super friendly staff and delicious food. I tried the full English breakfast and enjoyed it, everything tasted fresh and cooked to order. I only voted 4 out of 5 as the wait time was quite long around 40 minutes and people who came after us received their food sooner Overall I’d definitely recommend this for breakfast!

Great helpful and friendly staff. Food is definitely worth the stop over. Like everywhere on Lark Lane, the place can be busy so get in early. However, I'd also say it's worth any wait.

We’ve been a few times. Food is usually OK. This time the fish finger butty was awful, all day breakfast was like it had been on a hot pan somewhere being kept warm. Not good. Butter given for toast in a metal tin with cutlery all melted at the bottom. Such a shame as we’ve seen it gradually go downhill.

Been here a few times and this visit was quite disappointing. Fish finger butty wasn’t all that. Very small fish fingers, (similar to budget fish fingers) not much tartare sauce on and a few strands of rocket as a side. Partner had breakfast which wasn’t great, wasn’t bad, just ok. Will try some of the other places now, will still come back but not just yet. Staff were great again and the place itself is nice. Didn’t feel like value this time. 12/08/2024

Never been here before I went with my partner we were walking along lark lane . We went into Pippin’s corner a sign said wait to be seated we waited there were 4 staff members behind the counter after few minutes 1 shouted sit anywhere ! I ordered a fish finger sandwich my partner ordered a sausage and onion sandwich they inedible the fish finger one had tiny fish fingers deep fried and burnt on the non buttered bread so they fell everywhere whilst trying to eat them they were served with a scraping of mayonnaise on one piece of bread and the sausage one was burnt one side and pale the other side no butter on bread and one piece was smothered in a onion chutney not caramel onions ! These were served with a bit of dry rocket nothing else we were given one single ply napkin between us !! The bill was £23 pound for this food with 2 teas I myself am front of house in a very busy Greek restaurant and I feel I had to write this review so that they maybe up their game please feel free to reply back to this review

A gem of a find!! The most mouth watering menu tempted us to order everything and we weren't disappointed with our final choices including the philly sandwich with fat chips (OMG) with a "ridiculously pimped up hot chocolate". We'll definitely be back again, hopefully very soon 🙂

Good place nice food great vibes

Sat outside which soon turned from a lovely sunny morning into a cloudy chilly one 😞 it was very busy with a half hour wait for food, which we were told about at the start, so no problem. I've been here before and found the staff really nice and the food is always excellent. I had the small breakfast and my daughter had the veggie breakfast which we both enjoyed; although we were a bit envious when someone ordered the breakfast bagel as it looked yummy!

I did mention to the owner whilst visiting for my breakfast, that the toilets were marvellously clean and hygiene,best I've seen on Lark Lane

This is a popular, good value cafe and pleasant to eat lunch with either friends or family but isn't that big and can easy get full so not too many friends or any big family! It caters for vegetarians and there is good customer service from young waiting on staff.

Visited here this morning for the first time for breakfast after a parkrun. Fabulous cafe, ordered tea and poached eggs on toast and it was just the best! The eggs were cooked to perfection, lovely cup of tea, spotlessly clean and the staff were brilliant. Will deffo be coming here again after my next parkrun. It was really busy when we arrived so had to wait 5-10 mins for a table but was so worth the wait. Can’t wait to go again!

Really love this place. Actually dog friendly so dogs can be inside (not like other places on lark lane that claim to be friendly). The staff work incredibly hard, when we went the place was so busy and all the staff were still polite and friendly! I'll be back for pancakes again very soon. Also the picture is from outside as it was so busy inside and my dog was loving the attention from passers by 😂

Went in for lunch. Waited 45 minutes for our food to arrive. The staff didn't bother to tell us there would be a wait, or check on us at all in that time. No one asked if we wanted more drinks or told us how long it would be. We were totally ignored. When we asked for an update, they said "it's just coming". Then we waited another 15 minutes before giving up and getting up to leave. At that point, our food turned up. We got it to go. Both portions were missing an egg, and the yolks were poached solid. Everything was disappointing and I would not go back.

Absolutely wonderful staff. Went for a Good Friday lunch and everything was absolutely delicious. We were told about the wait before we sat down, but the food came out quicker than expected which was lovely. Everyone was very smiley and caring despite how chocker it was. Would definitely recommend a wonder down, if not for the food then for the amazing customer service.
