Service not good, food not that good. Italian does not serve pizza with pineapple, they are simply not truly Italian restaurant！

Went here last night with my partner and we both really enjoyed it, food and service were both amazing and the atmosphere was incredible beautifully decorated place I would definitely recommend

Tasty bread, absolutely amazing liver, and good pasta. The staff was very friendly, except for one person who was unkind. I ordered the seafood soup, and the calamari was completely rubbery and inedible. The soup was supposed to be spicy but was entirely bland. This staff member insisted that I choose something else, repeating that they had never received any complaints about the soup before. So, we just paid and left.

What a fabulous place! Some friends and I met for dinner and loved it. The restaurant is beautiful, the staff absolutely delightful and the food was amazing. Can't recommend highly enough - the best Italian. Can't wait to come back. Thank you

Brilliant food, great service but they added a service charge. Effectively they said, 'We were brilliant today, so we've put a large tip on your bill.' Sorry but it's for customers to judge if the service was good. If you stop being self-serving, it's a straight 5 stars from me.

Had my first date here 2 years ago and will dine in whenever we are local, our favourite restaurant in Norwich, massive menu and delicious food. Staff are lovely.

really nice atmosphere and staff. The pizza wasn’t as authentic italian as i hoped for. The dough could be better. However i had a really lovely experience. Also the tiramisu needs more coffee in it !! it was delicious, however lacking coffee flavour

We had high hopes going in the restaurant as it is aesthetically pleasing and sets the mood for the dinner. For the most part the food was good, but I think the menu is too large, with the food being especially overpriced for what you're getting. The waitresses lacked knowledge of the allergy side of the menu as my mother can't eat anything dairy, while the menu says all the pizzas are dairy free, but they obviously have cheese on all of them 🤦‍♂️ Still not the worst part as my father then had a bit of plastic in his food which he found pretty much at the end of his meal. When we showed the manager he told my dad it was from the plastic containers and that it shouldn't be in there. NO WAY! We are also still waiting for an apology that never came. Then when we got the bill nothing was taken off, we had to ask him to take something off the bill when my dad almost swallowed a bit of plastic! He was so reluctant to do anything from the moment he found out about it like it was supposed to be in his food. His horrible attitude means we will never be coming back 😁

Fantastic food with a massive menu, staff very friendly.

I booked a table here for a large group for a birthday and had mixed reviews from the group. The service was great but the food was very hit and miss. Half of the meals came out cold and the pizza was soggy. All of the vegetarians ordered the same food which was all fine but the rest of the food let the place down.

Very friendly service has been let down by the poor food. Veal with brandy Demi glacé very poor, tasted ok but believe this was made with bistro gravy granules or something alike. Pizza’s were bland apart from the pepperoni. Mixed vegetable side was Brocolli and colli it was mushy and clearly boiled to an inch of its life. Poor effort considering we were the only people in there. Can’t fault the atmosphere but for value for money being charged there wasn’t any! Shame as everything else bar the food was very nice!

Our first visit to this restaurant and we will definitely return. The service was great, the food was delicious. We both had pizza and it was proper Italian pizza (the base was perfect). The service was very friendly and attentive. We really liked the decor in there too. A lot of thought has gone into it, and it felt very authentic.

Their customer relationship was great I enjoyed the take out sadly I couldn’t take pictures but was a place with great ambiance.

Had really high hopes for this restaurant but was left rather disappointed. Arrived at 6pm on a Friday night and service was so rushed we were finished with our 3 courses by 7pm! Wait staff hovered behind my partner waiting to clear plates and take orders. We had barely any time to have a conversation due to this which was a real shame as the atmosphere of the place was nice. Wait staff were polite but overall a bit awkward. Food was ok. Not as good as I expected from the reviews but possibly tainted by just how fast the food came out. Very clearly was not freshly prepared anything if it’s able to come out within 5/10 minutes. The chicken was described as being slices on my pasta but what came out was there processed cubes of chicken which was a little disappointing. Honestly wouldn’t rate it much above that of many Italian chains in the city but with prices much higher we won’t be back in a hurry.

A decent Italian restaurant in the heart of Norwich. The menu is as expected for an Italian-run restaurant outside of Italy, and our food was nice enough, but not amazing. The only clear negative we experienced was the proprietor's attitude. He visibly huffed and gestured with frustration when we arrived with one more person that we had booked for. That made us feel not entirely welcome and made a poor first impression on us. He only needed to bring one extra chair to the table to accommodate us.

This is such a fantastic non chain Italian restaurant in Norwich. The food and service is very good. The pizza, salad and Tiramisu is fantastic! Highly recommend in Norwich

I came here last night for my birthday the food was amazing which we all loved. But I was not happy with how we all felt rushed after each meal they were quick to whip the plates away after the first course. After eating out mains I noticed staff were all putting their coats on to leave so me and guests felt like we had to rush our food which wasn’t good. When asked if we wanted deserts some of us said yes the waitress rolled her eyes as if it was putting them out as they would have to stay later. The whole evening was meant to be my birthday celebrations and we spent a lot of money there to then just feel rushed to alll leave by half 9 even though the place doesn’t close till 10. Food great service not good and really let the place down

Visited recently and had a very accommodating evening. Beautiful setting with authentic Italian style dining. All waiting staff were very attentive and provided an enjoyable experience. Food was delicious and lots of options for all types of diets. Enjoyed the pizza and tiramisu! Could not fault the evening and experience, will be returning again in the new year!

Absolute car crash of an evening. My boyfriend was taking me out for a meal on my birthday, we arrived a bit late which was a complete accident and we were very apologetic on arrival, from that moment onwards we were treated as a hinderance. Firstly - I ordered the spaghetti pomadoro (my favourite pasta dish) and received a piping hot microwaved meal within less than five minutes after ordering. I had to add a lot of salt and pepper to my meal just so it had a hint of flavour! My boyfriends penne pasta had spaghetti strands in it and was mediocre at best. We wanted to order more food but were ignored and forgotten about the entire evening. My boyfriend flagged down a waitress who ignored him and once we finally managed to ask for the bill, we waited half an hour for it. Once we did finally get the bill my boyfriend spoke to the manager about how our evening has gone and the blame was very much being shifted onto it being downstairs problem. Once we had paid full price (which we shouldn’t have) we went downstairs to leave. The owner of the restaurant started shouting at my boyfriend and getting in his face, he was waving his hands around and wouldn’t let my boyfriend say a single word and just kept shouting over him. This happened in front of everyone at the restaurant. Once again he was shifting the blame onto it being upstairs problem and wouldn’t let us speak. My boyfriend left as we weren’t getting anywhere, the owner then cornered me and wouldn’t let me speak. I just had to leave it there and leave as I wasn’t getting anywhere with him. He was incredibly rude and arrogant. My birthday meal was totally ruined, I will never be going there again and I will be telling everyone I know not to go there either. Incredibly overpriced for what it’s worth.

We went on a Saturday night, having booked a table for two at 8pm. It was very busy, however the service and food were very good despite the numbers being catered for.

An absolute shambles from beginning to end. We were running 20 minutes late and received an email saying “we are holding the table but where are you???”, slightly rude but it was our fault for being late so we got a move on to the restaurant. We apologised profusely for being late and were shown to our table, the floor of which was littered with mussel shells of previous diners. We asked for olives to snack on while we looked at the menu, the waiter deliberated whether or not they had time to shove some overpriced olives into a bowl due to our lateness, they did in the end and we ordered. Our food arrives in just over 5 minutes and it was piping hot (perhaps the work of chef microwave), there was spaghetti in my penne dish and my partners pomodoro was average at best. There was quite a bit of sauce which I wanted to mop up with garlic bread, I flagged a waiter over for them to say they were only upstairs to go to the toilet, totally fine, but then went on to not tell anyone that we needed serving. However, this was inconsequential as the waiters didn’t give one check back to see if everything was to our liking. They eventually came over when we were done and we asked for the bill. Almost 30 minutes had passed before I had to flag a waiter down and ask for the bill again, what was that about not having time for olives? I told the waiter about our experience and that it had soured my girlfriends birthday meal, I offered to pay full price for the meal as I work in hospitality and understand that mistakes happen, and full price I did pay. On our way out I was accosted by the owner, who seemed to only want to talk about the email, he said I was in the wrong for not calling ahead, he got very confrontational, getting in my face, interrupting and shouting in front of a room full of customers and in front of staff, it had to end with me saying “if you can’t talk to me like a grown up I’m going to leave”. I left and then he blocked my girlfriend from the entrance, saying the same things to her. She’s a very anxious person and this left her very shaken. I will not be going back here and implore anyone to save money and get a microwave meal from tesco. The same quality without having to put more money in the pocket of this incredibly rude and unprofessional restaurateur. Shocking! (Edited: wrote oyster shell instead of mussel)

We ate here last year and was eager to return as the food was amazing but this time around the starter was over priced and smaller. The mains were delicious but the atmosphere is lovely.

We visited here 7/11/23 for my sons 18th birthday . The atmosphere and service were both excellent . The food was fresh , delicious and the menu is vast . So much to choose from , the portions are huge so we ended up sharing sides between our party . It was a fantastic evening . We will be back

Ummm I will dream about the tortellini until we’re back in Norwich. Might plan a trip just to come back to this restaurant! (42) Tortellini di Carne is incredible. The pasta was delicious, sauce was creamy and addictive. I also got a lemon spritz and it was so refreshing and really tasty. We’re from London so it was a real treat finding this gem in our 24 hour Norwich trip

I am absolutely shocked at the rude service and lack of manners of your young waitress that served us tonight! I think she could do with some lessons in hospitality! Due to this very uncomfortable experience, unfortunately I would not recommend your restaurant, which is a shame, as the restaurant was very nice and the food was good!

Absolutely lovely! Was so easy to book, and despite being late, they were very accommodating. Food was delicious. I had the steak (number 52) alongside a new glass of primitivo and a glass of rum on ice. A relatively good price for what we had and the service and ambience. Very happy to return!

The food was amazing. The stuff was great. I loved the Mediterranean atmosphere in the place, it really felt like you were transferred to Italy the moment you sat down to eat. And the pasta and pizza were most delicious and authentic I have tried in a while.

Pinocchio's Restaurant, Norwich, England Italian eatery near central Norwich. Looks impressive and cosy. My Penne Pollo & Asparagus was ok. Pasta didn't taste fresh; chicken was plain, not seasoned very well; didn't taste any garlic or black pepper; asparagus was good but not plentiful; no parmesan cheese sprinkling. I understand that restaurants don't cook for one, but overall the dish was a compromise of cooking for the masses. Ambience: 5-star. Food selection: 4-star. Food quality and taste: 3-star. Service: 4-star. Price: 3-star. Value: 3-star. OVERALL: 3-star. Note: The bottom of my bill stated, "The 10% service charge is discretionary". Never saw this until I completed payment and left cash tip. My expectation is that service at a restaurant is part of the whole process, while a tip is appreciation of a good employee.

Great food and a lovely place to eat. Everyone enjoyed their meals ... and we aren't easy to please. Decor is very good. Staff are very friendly and attentive. Would recommend the lava stone steak... you can cook it to your own liking yourself at the table... Great idea! If there was only one slight negative.... and I do mean slight... it would be nice to see better quality dinner mints at the table with the bill. That being said it was all in all fantastic.... Will be returning.

Delicious food, warm welcome and a very good wine list. Every dish is beautifully presented and so tasty. The starter with snails is a particular favourite as is the subtly flavoured calves liver - Fegato alla Pinocchio. The liver is perfectly cooked, soft and slightly pink (although the chef is happy to prepare it to your liking) with a piquant sauce. Many thanks to all staff both front of house and in the kitchen for a delightful evening.

The lady who serve us was extremely rude and impatient. We ask her to recommend us some food but she told us to choose ourself..... Dissapointed. The food was OK but not my risotto! My risotto was overcook, very soggy!

Had a lovely meal for my brother's birthday. The staff were very accommodating of my dad's dementia and also the kids. The menu was huge, and there was something for everyone, including a decent number of veggie options.

Just had a lovely meal there. We were the first ones in just after 5pm but the place quickly filled up. Took the server's recommendation for the Spaghetti Cremonese and it was excellent.

We had a great evening. The food, service and atmosphere were great. Would definitely recommend if you are fancying an Italian and are in the area. They had an extensive menu so there's something for everyone.

A lovely Italian restaurant in Norwich. Food was authentic and delicious, and the service was attentive, friendly and courteous. It has a wonderful ambiance. The portion size was spot-on, and leaves enough room for dessert without leaving you too hungry. Prices are fair for a decent sized pasta dish. Good selection of wines and beers also. A definite recommendation if you want a great meal out.

Nice food and setting, ridiculously expensive had it not been an invitation for a birthday meal I would have left and gone elsewhere because of the prices. Change the ££ to ££££ to give a better reflection of the price structure.

Dined in on a cold dark Monday evening.. Good greeting on arrival both by the host and the wonderful aroma of Italian food. Great choice of foods for Veggies and Pescetarians.. Tiramisu was a wonderful end to a pasta delight of a meal..

Have wanted to try this restaurant for ages when visiting Norwich and was not disappointed food was lovely we had a selection of starters , 2 of us had the volcano fillet steak which was beautiful and 1 had tagliatelle, we also indulged with homemade Tiramisu, highly recommend a trip here and will definitely book again next time we are in Norwich, service is excellent decor is very nice,the only one thing is there are no disabled toilets on the ground floor.

3 of us went here to celebrate my sisters birthday. Two of us ordered from the Pancake section of the menu. Both of our meals were microwaved within an inch of it's life such that it was incendiary hot such that there was no flavour and the pancakes had disintegrated so much they were unrecognisable. At the end of the meal the waitress asked us if we had enjoyed our meal and so we explained the above. She gave no apology, she just said "one question, why did you eat all then?" to which I replied "because I was hungry". Very disappointed and would definitely would not eat here again.

Great food at this excellent local one-off Italian restaurant. Great menu and everything was just right. Service was prompt, friendly and helpful. The building is lovely, interesting and full of character and the atmosphere was very pleasant. All in all, a place well worth visiting for a most enjoyable meal.

Nice restaurant with good service, however I spent 3 days with food poisoning afterwards & have never felt so ill!! Sadly we will question returning again as it should have been better.

Being Italian, and brought up in a cafe bar, I rarely eat at Italian restaurants to avoid the almost inevitable disappointment. However, I was pleasantly surprised. We played it safe with Pizza Margherita for my wife and son and a classic lasagne (I would have had gnocchi but that would have been too much of a risk) for me. The pizza went down very well and the lasagne was pretty good. The actual lasagne was tasty but a little undercooked while the accompanying sauce was piping hot so perhaps chef got his timings slightly wrong, but I still enjoyed it. Home made tiramisu to finish was gorgeous. Overall, a really nice evening. The owner/manager reminded me of my father whizzing around like a coiled spring but supremely professional and courteous. Staff were well drilled and polite. Finally, I loved the decor; traditional without being overly twee. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend, or go again. Take it from a guy who knows. Ottimo!

I suggest saving your appetite as they have very generous portion sizes (which is rare for Italian restaurants) and the food is very tasty. The staff were really attentive, friendly and made us feel very welcome. I will definitely eat here again if I visit Norwich in the future.
