Breakfast very greasy to the point of inedible, Why do people think it ok to let dogs into an eating place jumping round people's tables??

Popped into this establishment for a lunchtime snack whilst visiting Trago Mills, Newton Abbot, and took advantage of the 2 meals for £10 offer. My wife and I both had plaice, chips and peas which were most enjoyable and came in extremely generous portions, so much so that my wife passed a fair amount of her meal to me rather than waste it. Highly recommended if you are looking for a good meal in a cafeteria style surroundings.

Stopped for breakfast on way home from a weekend in Torbay. We didn't want to pay Premier Inn prices for brekkie, so thought we'd take a chance at Trago. My goodness, it was lovely. The staff were really friendly and the £4.99 breakfast which included a drink was hot, beautiful cooked and thoroughly delicious. Well done to the team.

Had the breakfast. It was very bland and no taste to it. Overall not good value for money. Only good thing was that the place was empty so lack of screaming kids.

I went here with my family during a lunchtime shopping expedition to Trago Mills, and we were glad we did as, for a fast food place, the food was excellent, nicely cooked and masses of it (see photos). Friendly staff, particularly the lady who took our order who made us feel very welcome. A popular place, there was no more room for us in the main restaurant, but they have a large room with tables next door and so we sat there. Basic (no frills) but clean and tidy nevertheless (nice to see it has a '5' food hygiene rating - although the certificate from Teignbridge District Council was a few months out of date!). Kids well catered for by the menu - order at the till hatch and pay when you arrive. We had Omelette Special (with cheese, onion, salad and chips) price £5.75; and Baked Potato (with cheese and ham and salad) price £4.45; a big side of chips £1.95, and a 1/4lb cheeseburger and salad, price £2.75. Kids had chicken nuggets, chips and salad and a drink, £2.25.

Wife & I decided to eat lunch here as it was getting late & we thought we'd get fast food. Waitress took our order but missed 2 items (well anyone can make a mistake). Querying this, she realised she'd added an extra item & couldn't work out how to correct it & she had to call someone else who also seemed confused. They re-did the order but I had to suggest that they make a fresh order for the items missed! Even so, when the meal was ready, there was one item missing. I went to the counter & was ignored for almost 5 minutes while they cleaned part of the kitchen. The missing item was a pastie and they handed me an over done pastie that was luke warm and had partly burnt crust. They advertised a local, good quality coffee but it was weak and insipid. We ate on outside picnic tables that were pretty dirty and littered, thinking someone would clean them before we ate but no staff ventured outdoors, let alone attempting to clear away. All in all, a cheap meal spoiled by inattentive uncaring staff

Met up with family as we had come down to visit. We were very surprised 😯 with the sloop, being a hungry horse we are used to them being noisy and dirty. We were so surprised and we were allowed to take our 🐶 in. The staff were lovely and most importantly so was the food.

We was on a pub tour of the area and passed this on a way to another pub and thought “oh this looks quaint” sometimes the most impromptu pubs are the best and this one certainly is! Four ales were on draft we opted for the salcombe gold Which was excellently kept. I loved the laid back atmosphere with dog friendly sofas. They have a beautiful boxer dog named boots who greets you on arrival who is loving in nature with people and dogs. Very chilled and dog friendly and I will certainly visit again and stay for longer when I’m next in the area. Whatpub online does not hype this place is much as it should.

I have been to The Dolphin Inn several times now and the staff are always very friendly and welcoming. There are homemade traditional pies and roasts offered on Sundays, and bar snacks during the week. I had forgotten my scarf and Sam had very kindly looked after it for me. I wish them a very happy and successful 2020!
