Really can’t say enough good about Simon, Sam & the staff at Pinche Pinche. We’ve been deprived of legit Mexican food since we moved to the area, and have tried several of the most highly recommended restaurants but just never satisfied until now. We sampled several different tacos, salsas, chips, beans & rice, margaritas and everything was amazingly… even dessert was remarkable!!!! We left 100% satisfied and excited to go back, and will definitely make a booking next time so we don’t risk getting turned away (even though Sam worked some magic to get us in as a walk-in). Thanks team!!!

Awful, just awful! Very confused by the reviews here, worst food I have had in a long time! Collected a takeaway on Sunday evening, 2 x burritos, chicken wings and mexican fries. Burritos tasted overwhelmingly of BBQ sauce and nothing else, dry meat. Chicken wings very dry and the fries were like cardboard. At £25 this wasn't a cheap takeaway and it was a 0/10. Not even close to Mexican cuisine and most went in the bin. Ignore the reviews, save your money and avoid this place! Edit: A "nasty" review is appropriate for a nasty meal.

Amazing food. In your average Mexican diner, the dishes tend to be all the same fillings, with the only differences being how the tortilla is folded around the fillings. At Pinche Pinche, the tastes and textures were varied and very very good. Service was excellent. The icing on the cake was that the piped music was almost unnoticeable - a rare delight in a world of frequent sonic sensory overload. We could concentrate on enjoying the food and each other's company. We will be back!

Nice proper Mexican food! the tacos are great!

Really nice food, the burrito was really good. Went on a Saturday night, and it was busy, but it didn't feel too crowded and that noisy. The waiters were good and we didn't have to wait too long for the food. We shared the nachos, guacamole, and chicken wings. They were fresh and really tasty. I had the Birradilla Burrito, it was presented well and the flavours were so good, it tasted really authentic. Overall I would recommend this mexican restaurant, it is definitely the better of the ones I have been to.

We have been looking for a Mexican restaurant for a while, after reading reviews we thought we would give it a try. Great atmosphere, friendly staff and the food was great. Well priced good portion sizes and lots of little dishes to try. Would definitely recommend and will be returning.

Tasty food but tiny portions. Not sure whether it was supposed to be tapas but the staff did not advise us that if so. Staff friendly but not very attentive and seemed keen to rush us.

Such a reasonable price, in my opinion, for good food. 100% will be coming back and thinks it’s a great option for the colder months for a nice warm tea!

If you want delicious, authentic Mexican food to eat in or take out there's only one place to go in Leeds. The menu is simple but has excellent variety, there's loads of options for vegetarians and vegans. Great selection of beer and wine as well as the harder stuff and the restaurant has a cool atmosphere. Highly recommended.

Are here yesterday for the first time. Loved it! Fresh, tasty nachos, tacos and burritos. Mt gluten intolerant daughter was in heaven!

I have always loved this restaurant for eat in and take out food. We ordered 2 takeaway burritos last night and although the flavours remain delicious, we were shocked at the reduction in size of the burrito. The complimentary side order of nachos has now stopped too making this takeout the same price as eat in menu and way too expensive. It cost £25 for 2 burritos measuring not much more than 13cm in length.

This is such an amazing place. We regularly go for dinner and get takeaway from here. Such tasty and good quality food. We are a nightmare allergy wise too. I am coeliac so gluten free and dairy free, and my other half has tons of allergies. They are always amazing with us, and gf and vegan is marked on the menu which makes things easier. Grace was ace - she was our waitress tonight and went above and beyond! Thank you everyone x

18.10.2023 at 6.15pm - Booking of 6 I am so disappointed in my experience this evening at Pinche Pinche. I have been there twice before and had very good experiences. From arrival to starter everything went well and staff that attended the table were professional and mannerable. There was a very long wait after our starter to receiving our mains. We noted that other customers that came in after us were being served both starters and mains then leaving before we even received our mains. We were wondering what was happening as we arrived at 6.15pm, and it was now 7.45pm and we were still waiting for our mains. Staff were at the front counter and had not explained what the situation was. Due to the wait we looked across separately towards where the staff were, wondering what was happening. One of my friends on our table caught a member of staff eyes, then she gestured to that member where is our food. This staff member was coming over to find out what we were trying to say, as she approached our table a male staff member came over whom I believe was the manager and aggressively pulled the female staff away so he could deal with the situation instead. He approached my friend that made the gesture with a really bad attitude, and asked in a confrontational attitude 'is there a problem'. We explained that we have been waiting over 45mins for our mains. He said 'well, we only have two chefs'. We then explained that people had come in after us and received their starter and mains and have now left. His response to that was 'well you have had your starter'. Never once did he apologise for our wait. We were left feeling very offended. When our food arrived he came over with our food, trying to be polite but you could sense his hostility. Four of my friends felt he was just throwing our food down on the table but I am not clear about that. I just sensed some hostility. I felt very embarrassed as I have been here twice before and did not have this experience. If I had, I would not have brought anyone there. Another one of my friends spoke with him outside to clear things up. He made matters worse when as he said 'when you all came in the restaurant you were trouble'. When he was asked to explain, he referred to the period of our long wait when we looked across at staff, which he described we were 'scowling’. As a matter of fact, we may have been looking across individually at different times trying to work out why we were waiting so long. Even with my friends guester to say where is our food. His approach was completely unprofessional and quite upsetting as it was clear he was displaying anger towards us. I think he completely misread the situation and came across in an aggressive manner and not to defuse the situation or offer any apology for our wait. It appears, he does not know how to speak with a customer, he argues and escalates situations. Leaving you feeling undervalued as a customer. There was no management skillls present. When my friend said 'we won't be coming back' he responded again infront of customers 'we don't want you back'. Based on his responses, I am not sure if he was aware he should be acting in a professional capacity or if he knows how to. He clearly does not value or treat all customers equally. There were no issues with the other staff members that served us, none whatsoever. To be honest, when he approached us the way he did, I wanted to leave. I did not enjoy my food after that and it was unfair that we should have to eat in such a hostile atmosphere. I am extremely shocked and disappointed. Unfortunately, I have no plans to return and I will be sharing my experience with others. Every customer should be valued and I feel this manager lacks management skills and customer service skills. I am not sure if he has managed before, if he has, it may have been a restaurant of poor standards. I believe Pinche Pinche to be of better standards. He is not mentoring his staff in a positive way. He would benefit from some training in management and customer service care.

To be honest, when he approached us the way he did, I wanted to leave. I did not enjoy my food after that and it was unfair that we should have to eat in such a hostile atmosphere. I am extremely shocked and disappointed. Unfortunately, I have no plans to return and I will be sharing my experience with others. Every customer should be valued and I feel this manager lacks management skills and customer service skills. I am not sure if he has managed before, if he has, it may have been a restaurant of poor standards. I believe Pinche Pinche to be of better standards. He is not mentoring his staff in a positive way. Food was fresh and full of flavour was beautiful

I had really high expectations because of the reviews but I have to say I was a bit underwhelmed. The food was relatively tasty and definitely fresh, but nothing incredible. I ordered the vegan “fish” burrito bowl, and I couldn’t eat any of the vegan “fish”. It was made out of aubergine (which I normally love) but the texture was awful and slimy. The mushroom enchilada was similar, very slimy in texture and completely fell apart. I really liked the potato and kimichi small plate, that was my favourite thing we had. My date really enjoyed their beef quesadillas, but also agreed that it didn’t meet expectations.

Fantastic food and a good atmosphere. Would recommend booking for a Saturday as when we went it was full by 7pm. The menu had a lot of choice for gluten and dairy free diners.

Grace was our waitress and she was so lovely. Never been to the restaurant before and she was so welcoming. A credit to the company 🙌 from Barbs

The best Mexican restaurant in Leeds!

Went with my husband on a date night, the staff were welcoming, friendly and helpful. The atmosphere was lovely it's a cosy Mexican resteraunt. The food was amazing we had the nachos and the taco birridilla (if I've spelt that right) with a broth. It was all delicious. The dipping broth was amazing. Would recommend to everyone I could of eaten it all again if I hadn't of been so full. X

My favourite Mexican, if not my favourite restaurant! Fantastic vegan and vegetarian options, cheap drinks, and really friendly service. We’ve been loyal to pinche for over 10 years and it never disappoints - it’s a gem of a local restaurant. Highly recommend the plantain burrito and fish tacos, also the guac is super fresh and a good size portion

Enjoyed it , a bit rushed as we got there late but still nice. A lively restaurant with good music and atmosphere and the food was good. Lots of flavour and a nice spicy kick! Marked down as they had no authentic Mexican beer and I found a bone in my brisket enchilada. Also the service could've been better.

I am so glad I don't live in Leeds or I would be eating here every day! The food is on another level. I can't get enough of it & I come here whenever we visit our friend. Simon's food, ideas & knowledge are second to none honestly it's the best. I want to come go back again soon just to eat here! I am a veggie with a wheat allergy there is so much for me to choose from so for that I am grateful. Overwhelmed TBH with the choice I have. The Scousers will be back sooner rather than later cheers Simon. 10/10 - A1!!!!

Really tasty food and love the idea of small sharing plates

Fantastic food with plenty of vegetarian options. Attentive, friendly service. Can't comment on the atmosphere as we went right at the start of the evening (5pm) and the restaurant wasn't busy, but the decor is fantastic and I imagine the atmosphere later in the evening would be really good!

Maybe more of a cafe vibe than an evening vibe?

Disgraceful management - I called the previous day to enquire about bringing our dog. I was advised they do let dogs during quiet times and they'd call me back if they had any issues with me bringing him. No call, indicated no issue. We arrived at the restaurant as a party of 8 plus the dog and were shown to our table - there appeared to be no issue as the waiter saw the dog and didn't say anything. We sat down and began to look at the menu, after approximately 10 minutes one of waiters approached us and advised that the manager wasn't happy with the dog being present. They had the audacity to say that we didn't have to leave but the dog had to go. Like we're just going to send the dog our dog packing on his own, how ridiculous! 1. Why not call and communicate this? 2. Why let me and the party sit down? 3. Why didn't the manager come and speak to us rather than getting their waiter to do their bidding? One word... Ludicrous

Fantastic evening at pinche pinche, we’ve been before with our very young twins but last night was my wife’s birthday. Great food, great service (they were a man down but still smashed it) great options for vegans, veggies and meat eaters. Give it go!

Having heard such great things about the place and having not been despite living nearby for over 25 years I finally went. I was disappointed. Service wasn't great, staff were pleasant however. Food wise it was not great, not what I expected and some interesting menu choices (for example fajitas not on the menu is a bit strange). Strangely we all found the food lacking in taste. Prices were not bad, but again random as some small plates you got a lot but some larger ones were less value. Genuinely I wanted to love this place but sadly I was really disappointed.

first place I ordered from when I got to Leeds 2 years ago and I've never gone back. they never miss. nachos are amazing, not a single nacho was without sauce and/or topics on it, absolutely scrumptious. Also for the birria brisket burrito, stuffed to the max, not any of that flat pancake taco bell. I love this restaurant and will die for it <3 further note, delivery was prompt (approx 15 20 mins) and I live a few towns away

We came for a work meal out, food was lovely and the team working were friendly and helpful giving good recommendations of food. We ordered a selection of different starters and tacos to share tapas style across the table.

Absolutely delicious! The burrito was enormous but so tasty , the birridlla was smaller but so flavour some . The loaded Mexican fries were incredible . Service first class We’ll definitely be back! Loved it !

Amazing food and friendly courteous staff the restaurant is spotless with empty tables always cleared for the next diners.we had Burritos and Tacos and they were amazing please leave room for some churros as they are Michelin Star quality and taste so good. My partner and I came here midweek and we left feeling disappointed. We had tried to come once before but after we placed our food order, the restaurant unexpectedly closed due to their toilet being out of order and another diner making a (loud) complaint. The staff were friendly and helpful but somewhat disorganised. They took our drinks and food order quickly but there was quite a long wait between the order being taken and the food arriving. The mojito I ordered was weak, and the crushed ice was more like slush. I feel like it was made by someone who doesn't know much about making cocktails. The food was disappointing, the "loaded" fries were just normal chips with the tiniest bit of toppings - definitely not loaded. They had a dribble of sauce and a few Jalapeños and spring onions on them, not worth the money at all. My partner ordered a burrito and I ordered Enchiladas, neither of these items had cheese on them which I found odd. The shredded lettuce I received with mine was dry and did not taste fresh at all. I asked for some guacamole which never materialised but was added to our bill, this was taken off when pointed out but, again, disappointing. I'm afraid we won't be returning.

Very cool restaurant, delicious Mexican food!!!

This was so annoying. They have a load of dishes marked as vegan - as I’m a vegetarian I asked if they could do a quesadilla with dairy cheese rather than vegan. The waitress who was very nice, said she’d ask and came back to say no. Just so I was clear, I confirmed that they do have dairy cheese but they couldn’t do a mushroom quesadilla that was on the menu, with dairy cheese. I got told no, in a nice way but with no explanation. Which tells me that either all the quesadillas are pre-made which is unbelievably lazy, or the chef chose not to, which is ignorant. So I left and won’t be going back.

My wife and I visited on Saturday evening and really enjoyed ourselves! Amazing food full of flavour, everything came quickly and was nice and hot! My wife is gluten free and there were plenty of options for her which isn’t always the case when dining out! We will definitely be back, just wish we lived nearer!

I've tried to support this place as it's my local, but meal I had last night was the nail in the coffin of my support for Pinche Pinche. The staff were lovely and attentive so no complaints there, and the restaurant itself is very nice. It's simply the food - while it wasn't unedible, it was incredibly bland. To make bland Mexican food is an achievement in itself, because it's a cuisine that lends itself to bold flavours of lime, picked onion, chilli, chole, grilled meat, all that stuff. Had both steak and nopal tacos, both were so bland - no freshness or zing or spice or any of the gustatory excitement I look for in Mexican food. Leeds unfortunately has no good Mexican food that I can yet see.

Service was good. But food was really strange. We both love Mexican food but left hungry as we disliked the flavours in the dishes we ordered. Chicken, beef, nachos. Thought we couldn’t go wrong. But we were both really disappointed in the food we received.

Intimate venue, as the restaurant is small. However, the food is next level. The steak burrito is a must have. Staff are also lovely and welcoming. Definitely a little gem of a restaurant and would highly recommend it
