Great place for fresh homemade falafels and salad. Always had great food and it has always been consistent.

I love visiting here for my lunch break as they do the best falafel and even give you a small bit to eat as they prepare your food.

Fui allí varias veces y me quedé sin ingredientes a menudo y las comidas no están disponibles o me dirán que pueden hacerlo, pero con verduras empapadas y sin una serie de ingredientes anunciados.Cuando me quejé me ofrecieron cupones, pero el personal y el gerente me ignoraron cuando fui al restaurante.

Fui a su tienda en el mercado y también tienen uno en el camino. Me dieron una muestra gratis de su falafel y fue genial. No son tacaños con los falafels y ponen mucho y tienen coberturas realmente agradables. Lo mejor de todo fue que tenían un gran servicio y eran amables. Volveré.

This is a very slick operation geared to take aways or a quick snack inside at the few tables and counters. Delicious falafel in many varieties. Only cold drinks are sold (for speed?). Will definitely visit again.

Faits au dernier moment croustillants mais pas secs, servis avec une généreuse salade. On y a mangé 4 fois en 10 jours! Le serveur est super sympa ce qui ne gâche rien.

Petit restaurant, avec quelques places disponibles pour manger sur place. On y mange des falafels en pita ou en salade (container) avec différentes options (feta, aubergines, guacamole, tomates séchées,...). Les portions sont copieuses et les falafels excellents. Les salades accompagnant les falafels manquent peut être parfois d'un peu d'assaisonnement mais on en sort repu et satisfait !Je recommande

Estábamos buscando un bocadillo / almuerzo ya que una de las personas que trabajaban allí nos ofreció un sabor gratuito de su falafel. Estaban absolutamente deliciosos. Así que tomamos una decisión y obtuvimos una pita de falafel con queso feta. El servicio muy amable y la comida era increíble.

Visité la tienda de comida para llevar en el mercado de Spitalfields para el almuerzo. Era una buena mezcla de ensalada, pero el falafel fue el peor que he comido en mi vida.

Trabajar en Liverpool Street tiene muchas ventajas, una de ellas es tener el mercado de Spitafield justo detrás de la esquina. Hay muchas opciones para elegir, pero siempre voy a Pilpel (falafel container with guacamole), todas las semanas del viernes. La porción es grande, ensalada, hummus y guacamole fresco y delicioso. I've loved falafel street food since Israel in early eighties and Pilpels falafels were worth going out of your way for.

Visited today at lunch. I just love falafel. These tasted great crispy on the outside. Soft inside and not too dry. Gave it 4 star as the guy serving was light on the salad.

Pra quem ama falafel, assim como eu, este local é uma das melhores opções em Londres !! O falafel é maravilhoso, delicioso!!! O sanduíche no pão sírio com falafel, tabule e diversas outras saladas é sensacional! E o preço super justo. Fomos na loja que fica dentro do Oldsptifields Market. Vale a pena experimentar!

The falafels are beautifully seasoned and a great texture (not soggy) accompanied by fresh salad items. Love the addition of the tahini and chilli sauce.

Very little to complain about. Delicious falafel in a wrap with hummus. Probably 50p more than I would have wanted to pay, but I'm tight.

I had Falafel and Aubergine (Eggplant). I expected the eggplant to be Baba Ganoush but it was actually roasted eggplant. That was good except it was served with skin on and I dislike it that way. Despite that, it was a very good sandwich for a reasonable price. They have two locations at Spitalfields, one in the market and one on the west side on Brushfield Street.

We found this onTripAdvisor and were not disappointed. It is small but very popular. We had pita with falafel,hummus, aubergine and salad. The staff were very friendly and gave us a free falafel to taste whilst we made our selection. Delicious!

Me encanta falafels pero son algo más! Tan grande, crujiente y lleno de sabor, cada vez estoy en cualquier lugar cerca de Spitalfields, cabeza Pilpel. Encantador lugar he estado algunas veces siempre ocupado pero te sirven bastante rápido sorprendentemente. La porción de comida es muy abundante. He tenido tanto la Pita de llenado y el recipiente de pita. Disfruté de los dos. Recomendaría el contenedor si estás muy hambriento! El personal es encantador, muy rápido y muy eficiente. Fuimos a uno en el mercado de campos spittle. Divertido y personal amable. Ambos tuvimos el pitta y era muy sabroso y abundante. Lo recomiendo.

My son and I , Stopping for a bite in the Spitafield market. As both of us are eating falafel often, we tried It and it is very savory. The seasoning were really good. My son is vegan and this is fantastic for vegans.

We had an excellent lunch here. The staff were very friendly and helpful, the food was freshly pepared and very tasty. There's a wide choice of salad to have with your falafel and you can have a beer while you are waiting. Recommended.

Fantastic little lunch spot situated a few minutes from Liverpool St station; there's also a sattelite branch in Spitalfields Market and a couple of other branches dotted around the city.Options of either a sandwich or salad bowl of delicious salad veggies, dips and pickles crammed in with the most amazing falafels!! Perfectly crunchy on the outside and soft and moist on the inside. Also a lovely pillowy soft flatbread to go with it.Staff are ultra energetic and friendly! Real buzzy atmosphere during their busy times; super efficient service and often free falafel tasters whilst you wait! Looking forward to my next fix!!

I have visited this place so many times. They have this salad with falafel in pita bread or in a container. This comes with so many veggies and sauces.One healthy full meal :)

This was my favourite place to get lunch whilst working in City The only regret that I have moving offices over to SW1 is that Pilpel is too far away. The service is friendly, salad bowls are made in front of you, falafels are fresh and probably the best tasting in London. You can get a beer after work too! My only issue is that they don’t re-use or recycle their plastic salad bowls – waste!

Great food, very friendly and attentive staff, just a great experience. They also give you a card and every 10th purchase is free.

My daughter took me to this restaurant, she visits it every now and then for lunch. She said that they serve the best falafels she has ever tasted so obviously I had to try it. We had an early lunch and ordered two pitas. Unfortunately, they had already sold out some of the extras like avocado sauce. So we had only whatever was still left. But even that was delicious. The falafels were just about right, soft and with lots of taste. The service was good although it was a bit chaotic when there are many customers that which order is for whom. The only problem with the restaurant is that they are too popular :) They run out of stock fast. I don't know why they cannot be prepared for the higher demand because this seems to happen constantly.

I'm no expert on falafel but I go here for lunch at least once a week! The falafel are crisp on the outside and smooth on the inside and have just the right amount of garlic. The salad/hummus that goes with it and fluffy pita are just mouthwateringly lovely. Of course I'm going back next week.....

My Palestinian sister in law makes fabulous falafel and although I don't want to offend her the falafel at Pilpel are fantastic too. They are crispy on the outside and soft and fluffy on the inside. The accompaniments are gorgeous. Hummus, tabouleh, carrot salad,pickles. I could go on and on. We shared a portion for lunch and it was perfectly adequate for us. It's not posh but I love it. Just wish there was one nearer to me.

I always get the pitta wrap with falafel and aubergine and lots of salad. Lovely pickled cabbage and chillis, and they also have hot sauce if you feel brave. Lovely and filling and fairly priced, amazing food for quick on-the-go eats.

pilpel is a vegan and vegetarian falafel & houmous bar that serves colourful bowls and pitas in spitalfields. there’s also stores in fleet street and st paul’s.as soon as I walked in the ladies said hello and asked if they could help. you can choose your falafel to come in a pita (£4.80) or a container (£5.80). the pita is a choice of white or wholemeal. I went for the container where you get the pita on the side. the falafel is served with houmous, salad and sauce. the salad choices which are included are green salad, tabouleh, red + white cabbage, carrot, pickled cucumbers, jalapeños, onions & chickpeas and the sauces are red or green chilli & tahini. there’s also additional toppings you can choose from ranging from 60p to £1. I got aubergine and guacamole. when I ordered I was given a falafel to eat while I waited for mine to be made. the falafel was crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside which is what you want. nothing is worse than a dry tasting falafel. it tasted fresh and the serving size was huge – I couldn’t finish it in one go.there’s not much seating inside, so it’s nice to take it on the go and eat in the sunshine. try to beat lunch time rush and go around 11am or after 2pm. I’d eat here again but maybe go for the pita instead of the container as it’s a big bowl of plastic. hopefully one day they’ll change the container to a more eco friendly bowl.

I'm a bit of a falafel aficionado and having tried falafel places all over London I can safely say that this is the best place to get your fix. The balls are delicious - not too dry and definitely not too greasy, But the star of the show is the wide range of fillings and salads, including fantastic hummus, that go in your pita - simply exquisite. Combine that with friendly service and you've got yourself a winner. Definitely the best option for a quick takeaway lunch when you're in the area.

Huge lunchtime queue, which is always a sign it's with visiting. A real nice vibe inside: lots of staff busy and serving customers. I had a Mediterranean pitta that was heap with falafel, hummus and salad. It filled be up for the afternoon, which is tough going for me! Recommend.

Is always a joy to come to pilpel inside the market, the staff is always very friendly and talkative, there is a spanish or italian guy always offering free falafel and the food is spectacular.

This was the best Falafal I've ever had. I had the Falafel Pita which was filled with hummus, delicious falafel-balls, different salads and some spicey sauce. It's THE place to go for everyone who loves falafel!

So was wandering around on a Sunday and came upon Pilpel, was not sure but the staff inside sold it with their enthusiasm and passion about the food. We had a delicious falafel in pitta and guacomole it was really tasty all washed down with a bottle of sol for just over £15, which I thought was very good value and we loved everything about this place.

One of the best falafels in London, not a fancy place just take out but staff is always friendly and fresh falafel. What else do you need for a quick lunch.

Note: This is actually a review of the Pilpel shop front inside Spitalfiends market, which has the same menu as the shop in Brushfield Street.Having discovered the delights of Old Spitalfields Market's food stalls and street food on the first day of my visit to London, I knew that I had to be selecting in my choices for lunch during the week. With so many tempting dishes on offer in the vibrant food stalls you could easily pass by Pilpel; unless, that is, you were offered a free sample of a delicious falafel ball, freshly cooked and dipped in a light tehina sauce. Naturally I took the opportunity of 'tasting' a free sample every time I went past the store on my first four days. By Friday I had Falafel firmly imprinted on my mind and taste buds so I know already in the morning where I was going to have lunch. Lunchtime duly arrived and after a brisk walk from my training course to the market I made a bee-line to Pilpel. Free sample first whilst I was deciding what to have, then I decided on the Falafel and Aubergine salad bowl. It came with humous, tabouleh, coleslaw, carrot salad and Beetroot salad (I think), topped with five golden crispy hot falafel balls and my choice of either white or wholemeal pitta. Not the flat, dry cardboard poor third cousin of pitta that you get in supermarkets, but a freshly baked fluffy round pitta, just like they make in the bakeries in Israel. Fantastic! A side of chilli sauce completed the dish and I promptly sat down at one of the benches in the market to enjoy my lunch. I was in heaven! I hadn't even thought that this food was vegan, so never again will I feel sorry for vegans, at least until my next Shashlik or kibbeh! :-)Now I've had falafel in Lebanese restaurants in England previously and whilst they are nice, their falafel is just not as good as the Israeli falafel. That's a personal preference of course, but if you miss Israeli falafel and are in London, go to Pilpel.

Brilliant falafels which you can get as a bread or as a salad bowl. Very filling. Value for money. However, on a couple of occasions I have had a stomach upset after eating here..

Il locale è molto carino, il personale divertente, cordiale, gentile, simpatico, generoso (offrono le felafel ai clienti se si forma la fila!), e veloce.Le felafel fatte mano, il pane, integrale e bianco molto buono, tante salse, alcune davvero deliziose.Ottimo rapporto qualità/prezzo.Lo consiglio sicuramente e ci tornerei subito se tornassi a Londra!

Stopped here for a quick lunch when at Spitalfields. Food was really good, big portion, all really fresh and staff were friendly with good knowledge of veganism. Would definitely eat here again.

It was delicious - good range of salads and dips (carrot salad, hummus, guacamole, couscous, pickles, red cabbage etc) and very tasty fried falafel with tahini and chilli sauce.Everything is vegan so it's a great place to take a vegan friend. The cafe has seating but it's quite small/basic so best for a quick meal.
