Pilgrims Gelato in Northumberland

We stayed one night whilst visiting Consett for a beer festival. We liked · Our room which was very clean plenty of hot water lovely white towels and a cracking view of Derwent reservoir. Breakfast in the restaurant, and we were allowed to have our son and eddy the Beagle join us for a good breakfast.

Each night we pass while walking the dog and place always looks busy and inviting. So last night we phoned for a takeaway we asked for something not on the menu and of course they said they could make it. Our food was Amazing!!! not just in taste but smell and to look at!! Thanks again and we will make this our new go too❤️

This was our first visit to Wentworth Cafe and we are already excited to return. The service was exceptional and the food quality was second to none. The attention to detail, particularly when it came to our cappuccinos was impeccable, and they were GREAT coffees! The produce was wonderful, tasted like it came straight from a local farm shop and excellent portion sizes. Best breakfast in Northumberland by a country mile!

A proper pub near Berwick Station. Friendly barmaid and welcoming locals. A real old gem of a pub with some ghost stories too if you ask the barmaid
