What a fabulous location to visit We visited at brunch and loved it that much we returned for a snack later in the evening Food was lovely

We come to this cafe ( we call it the aviary cafe as it’s next door to the aviary and you can hear the birdsong , the squawks , it’s great ) all year round , in all weathers . There are canopies to keep you dry and heaters and blankets in winter . It’s just lovely being outside in the fresh air overlooking Bournemouth gardens . The food and coffee is superb, best toasties in the world ! And great mulled wine around Xmas time . The staff are always lovely . For a quick bite you won’t find a nicer place !

Picnic Park Deli absolutely ticks all the right boxes. The staff are always incredibly friendly and accommodating in addition to being very welcoming and enthusiastic. Particularly Marta and Aggie who work very very hard providing excellent service in a very customer focused environment. The cakes and snacks are varied, in addition to a menu offering a good choice of freshly prepared food cooked to order. Even that is reviewed periodically to reflect the season and current trends so never feels dated or staid. The ethos of this eaterie demonstrates a keen interest in not only serving quality food to the the local community, but also by supporting good causes and encouraging local enterprises, such as developing young musical talent (live music is a regular feature). So refreshing compared to the big names who just don't engage with or listen to their customer's needs. Well done Picnic Park Deli. Keep up the good work!

Simple straightforward food done really well in a lovely setting. We had avocado on sourdough with egg. They kindly did a little omelette for my wife as she doesn’t like yokes. I added bacon which was cooked perfectly. Not sure how it could have been improved. Great value as well. Also had sourdough with almond butter and banana with blueberries. A super independent business that deserves to thrive.

Picnic Park Deli is a wonderful little café situated on the cliffs heading down to the beach in Bournemouth with distant views out over the sea. Open all year round with menus changing according to the season. Lovely range of sandwiches, all different from the norm, and delicious cakes along with a wide range of ice creams. Doggie treat also available. Very reasonably priced and excellent service from Marta and her team. I thoroughly recommend this independently run café and use it regularly.

Walking through the Lower Pleasure Gardens to find somewhere for lunch on a very wet and windy day, this was a real find close to the aviary. Good choice, with vegan, vegetarian and (hooray from my point of view) gluten-free options. My cheese toastie was really tasty (there were several different fillings to choose from and mine was made with GF tiger bread) and sweet potato chips went down well. Service was friendly and efficient and prices were very reasonable. Highly recommended - a real five star place.

Had an amazing lunch here! Avocado toast was super delicious and really good value! Location is stunning, lovely views of the park. We were here on the most glorious sunny day in Bournemouth - we enjoyed a lovely brunch date. The toastie and salmon sandwich were so incredibly fresh and delicious - we also had some Brazilian coxinhas, which were special at the time. We enjoyed some beautiful live music from a local performer - this even further enhanced our day and set us up for a wonderful afternoon. A perfect brunch spot - duly recommended for all visitors and locals alike!

I come back for the ability to work on my laptop in a great setting. I dont come back for the coffee sadly. The last 3 flat whites I've had have gotten progressivley worse. The last one perhaps the worst I've had in maybe ever. Scolding hot. No foam. Lacking a discernible taste of coffee. Either coffee-making skills arent trained here, or I've just been unlucky. Ill keep coming back, but Ill probably stick with tea from now on.

I love it here! Every time I visit family in Bournemouth I have to stop by. The picnic on the piste is amazing! Transported to a ski village, I was with my one year old and she loved looking at the lights and toddling on the glow trail. The food and drink was delicious as ever. Lovely family feel, super cosy and the loveliest staff. See you soon!

What an incredible little bournemouth cafe, visited during their ‘picnic on the piste’ season and i was blown away by the ambience, the lovely servers and the great tasting drinks. We hadn't come across this before but was a lovely surprise in the Winter Gardens. Great Coffee, Ice Cream and Cakes. We liked the friendly, cosy touch- there are games available to play, blankets available to borrow and paper and pens to entertain the kids.
