Picnic Cafe Bistro in Worthing

My wife and i went there on a sunday. The customers in the cafe looked relaxed you would though that you walked in on their breakfast in their own home ! My wife at down and owners dog (i assume took an instant liking to laying beside her ) we ordered after i used a very clean toilet equipped for disable but a wide wheelchair may have a problem. probably the only very slight negative about the whole place, as the service & food were good. No noise from food preparation but just nice music for older people played at right volume that prompted conversation and a harmonious atmosphere the decoure light fittings made you feel and the tv hallowed themed screen -saver helped promote . The prices were good too in an Oasis of calm yet open the door and A27 lions farm traffic was building up, outside, although we had no parking problems in free parking bay on the corner. to my surprise there also free bay right outside the front as well theres plenty of parking in the SCS car parking for larger vehicles ( people carrier Suv's etc.) across the road with pedestrian crossing across the busy A27 and a Toby carvery opposite. we took the time visit the SCS store as it was convenient , a very good sunday morning was spent browsing the stone circle shop another treasure next the Picnic cafe Bistro well worth it, we will be returning.

What a great little cafe! Excellent food and drinks. Friendly staff and lovely menus. Looking forward to trying their occasionally Curry nights.

We had a wonderful morning at Picnic, the breakfast was incredible. We both said that it was one of the best breakfasts we’ve ever had. Cooked well, stayed warm, huge portions and all for a great price. The coffees were delicious too. The staff are so warm and welcoming and it’s got the added bonus of being dog friendly. We are quickly going to become regulars! Thank you 😊

My wife and I, and our cockapoo Daisy, went there for lunch on Saturday. It's quite a small place but it has a great decor and a very comfortable atmosphere. The owners, James and Martin, were very welcoming and friendly people, as, it seemed, were all of the other customers; (the bistro was full, so it was very lucky we had booked a table). The food was excellent, home cooked fare and very reasonably priced. They even gave Daisy a special treat of sausages; they are clearly dog lovers. We have been looking for a local, friendly, neighbourhood cafe/bistro that we can enjoy and that doesn't cost an arm and a leg. We've found it! We'll definitely be going there again.

Lovely little place, this guy knows how to cook perfect eggs, the proper way 👍🏽 so perfect I didn't want to spoil my bap with sauce, definitely coming back regularly.

I’ve driven past without noticing this cafe, but today we were walking and popped in for lunch. So glad we did! I had the BLT toasted sandwich on granary, with a side salad & little pot of mayonnaise - delicious! Nice and cosy, great staff 😊

I live above the cafe now with my partner and the cafe owners are great and very friendly. There food is amazing and the service is great, very welcoming when we met they introduced themselves even helped us move in.

We love visiting here for a meal, the owners are lovely and make you feel at home. Our dog always gets welcomed too and enjoys her little treat every time. Food is fabulous and plentiful too!

How dare you call my daughter a liar in her comment below! You and your business made my daughter's life a misery though to be fair, I largely blame Worthing Council for granting a late night license to a business situated below a flat that had no soundproofing. However your complete lack of empathy for a disabled woman and her child was quite chilling. You actually told me to call the police when I asked you politely to turn the music down on Christmas day at 7pm, knowing full well the police would not get involved in a civil dispute. You also suggested I complain to the landlord who is also your landlord and who was never going to do anything. So we were completely reliant on you to show some empathy and turn down the Base or the volume or move the location of the speakers. Instead you simply got defensive. Shame on you and shame on Worthing Council.

Rude horrible owners, don’t deserve to run this business. Asked them to turn blaring music down in cafe underneath our flat so my niece could sleep on Christmas Day. They told us to get lost. So rude and nasty.

Can't rate the breakfast enough. Definitely worth a try. They are starting to do special nights which we will try. We were told they have been popular and sell out quick, so they are adding more dates all the time.

Fabulous little hidden gem. I recently visited here for breakfast with my husband, amazing food, fabulous friendly service and accommodated our gluten free preferences without issue. Best breakfast we have had in ages, well worth a visit.

Quality breakfast worth the relative expense and very nice atmosphere

Looked this place up while staying at Worthing beach front, reviews were pretty good, so we decided to try it out, got to the cafe and a very stressed guy open the entrance door quite rudely turned us away, plenty of tables were free at the time. Business goes where business is welcome. won’t be give them my business in the future,

One of the nicest fry ups I've had in a long time! Very accommodating to vegan requests, soy milk, dairy free spread and vegan sausages in fry! Huge portions, great price and very friendly staff. 100% recommend. :-)

Called in as we were passing by on our way home and what a fantastic find! Lovely decor, exceptionally clean and the food was excellent. The staff are super friendly and efficient too. I just wish it was nearer to home, as we would definitely be regulars!!

All fur coat and no knickers Mediocre food not worth spending the time writing a review, I ordered burger chips and beans and although the menus states this comes with a bun and salad these were nowhere to be seen.

Pop in to the picnic this morning for 3 take away bacon sandwich and 3 teas as we were on are way to Goodwood and didn't have time to eat in. I paid the £14 and was told 5 mins that was ok . After sitting there for 15 mins there was still no sign of a cup of tea let alone a bacon sandwich ; my colleague came in from the running car outside and said we had to go the bloke behind to counter said nothing just stood there with a stupid smile on his face no offer or a refund or an apology . Don't get a take away from this place if your in a rush .
