Great old fashioned cafe! Good service, coffee and food. Recommended!

Always love a good cream tea at this place, with a wide collection of tea to choose from to go well with your style of cream tea. They go the extra mile and warm your fruit/cheese scone for you. Well recommended for a light lunch or a sweet treat cream tea. There's seating near the church for an extra unique atmosphere that is out of this world, escape the normal Ipswich scene.

We had a quick coffee this morning. Downstairs was full, but more seating upstairs. Quaint old fashioned building.

The best place in town for sure ❤️!!! All staff are very friendly and calm atmosphere.As my little one said: "the best hot chocolate in town" ❤️!!! All our family members love this place ❤️❤️❤️❤️ Highly recommended!!!

Unfortunately the standards of cleanliness are plunging. Plates are left on tables, unnoticed by the very young waiting staff. Food debris on the tables, crumbs on the floor and the toilet with a dirty floor. Wash hand basin neglected. Standards of service have certainly fell through the floor and also hygiene standards.

Pickwicks is a lovely, independent traditional tea shop in the town centre. Food is freshly prepared to order, and the tea is very good, served in a pot with a strainer – how it should be. There is a good choice of reasonably priced food and drinks on the menu served by nice friendly staff.

A long time customer of the one the most prettiest little tea houses England has to offer. Would highly recommend the Ethiopian or Peruvian strong roasts. So glad to see Pickwick's surviving such a difficult time, commercially speaking, for the centre of Ipswich.

A cosy cafe with welcoming staff and great food. An array of teas, coffees and hot chocolate to choose from and the option if oat or soya milk as an alternative to dairy. Would very much recommend!

Went to Pickwicks with my daughter and her infant. Staff went out of their way to seat us. Good food, cool and calm atmosphere

The food was as you would expect from a small place like this. There is only 1 toilet up a flite of steep stairs. Not ideal for knee problems. It looked a bit tired and lots of flies flying around. It was a very hot day and the door was open. I wouldn't go back.

I enjoyed afternoon tea outside in gorgeous weather with a friend of mine who I hadn't seen for several years. Pickwicks offer a huge selection of teas and coffees as well as a decent range of food. A pot of tea only cost £4.50 at the time of buying and served more than a couple of servings each. I will be back at Pickwicks for further brews.

Located in an interesting historic building. We enjoyed good tea and coffee but didn't buy any food. They only allowed dogs downstairs but as the upper floor was closed off I guessed they allow humans downstairs too. No one complained so it seems it was OK. We purchased some packaged tea to take home and for gifts. We'd definitely visit again.

Visited Pickwick café for the first time this week had a lovely scone and tea and my friend had a warm scone and hot chocolate. The atmosphere was very relaxing and comfortable. The staff were very friendly and attentive. I will definitely visit again

First time visiting this Quirky little tea room. Cheese scones were delicious, as was the loose leaf earl grey and cappuccino. The staff were lovely and attentive. Will definitely return.

Morning stop of point. I had a lovely scone with cream and jam! It was lush! We also had a chat with a lovely girl that works there who went through some of the teas and coffees they have at the store and also recommended some nice things to try. We bought tea samples and little tea strainer! She was also lovely enough and said I can order with her next time over the phone and she would post some samples to me as I don’t live in the area. Thank you ladies x

Nice staff, though short staffed so a bit slow, scones were ok and the tea is good. But it was sooo cold in there today we won't be going back. Which is exactly what the lady next to us said and the couple opposite too. How is keeping the heating off to save a couple of quid worth losing 5 customers business? And I'm sure lots more people will feel the same. Everyone wore their coats, and some kept their hats on. When we got back to our bicycle in the buttermarket car park our Speedo showed it was 14.5C and it felt much warmer there than the café.

Like a little oasis in the middle of town normally tranquil surroundings and great for summer as no indoor seating.

Been a couple of times to pickwicks for a treat. The teas and coffees are great, many flavours and types to suit all tastes. We went for lunch last weekend and the food was absolutely delicious. The mushroom stroganoff was so flavorful! 🥰 My only criticism is that there was a 50p charge for alternative milk which I think is a bit excessive and unnecessary.

Food is lovely and priced as reasonably as it can be given current financial climate. Service a little slow but we were in good company so wasn't a problem

I have visited Pickwick's several times. As I am new to the area I walked around looking for somewhere very interesting and unique. I have found it!!! Bijou and totally unique what a pleasure to find this tea room /cafe. If you are a tea/coffee afficionado then this is the place. Oh and the food is very special as well!! At times very busy hang in there it's worth the wait.

Whenever I am in town, this is my go to place for many years now. Friendly staff, good homemade food and of course, an extensive range of teas and coffees from around the globe. Lovely to take a moment there, enjoy and watch the world go by!

It has a great menu with lots of choice. Food is always fresh and piping hot. Everything i have tried has been really tasty and enjoyable. I highly recommend the macaroni cheese!! A lovely little tea room away from the clamour of town

Very good service. Toastys are very good and you get a very nice salad 🥗 and crisps, pot of real tea. ( no teabags here) would really recommend 👌.

This is a fantastic independent cafe with courtyard seating. Better still, Wolsey's secretary apparently had an office on the site.

Charming cafe in the old historic part of Ipswich. We sat in the outside seating at the back of the cafe next to a beautiful church. Staff were very attentive, we enjoyed a Plowman's Lunch and a Cream Tea with accompanying coffees, all absolutely delicious and very reasonably priced. Highly recommend.

Order tosted fruit bread 3 times it was served and on all 3 occasions burnt not even edible coffee cold Very disappointed. Did not eat or drink either and did not pay.

A lovely find for lunch. Housed in a very old (historical) building, we were made to feel very welcome. The toasted sandwiches and hot chocolates were just what we needed. We bought a gift and also some leaf tea as presents after we’d eaten. We are here on holiday but if we’re ever back in Ipswich, we’d definitely eat here again.

Traditional, atmospheric teashop. Always a good stopping place for a tea/coffee and a treat- the "fully loaded" chocolate cake is an experience!

If you want to try a proper coffee shop then Pickwick's it is, you can choose from a huge range of coffee beans and also take some home if you love it. The same can be said for tea too, usually I'm an English breakfast man but there are so many variations on this type of black tea I try a different one each time I'm there. The service is lovely and very personal.

Great little coffee shop. Very telling that it was clearly full of regulars. As I was paying at the counter I clocked the huge choice of leaf teas on sale and was able to purchase some as a gift.

The pair of blond ladies provided really attentive and friendly service and were ready to enjoy jokes. The food and choice was excellent and was prepared quickly. All of that within an exceptionally old building with loads of atmosphere.
