Got the best sandwich I've ever eaten AND a can of San Pellegrino for £4. Unreal. Guy who served me was a nice dude too.

This place has amazing paninis and sandwiches, a great selection of drinks and amazing service. The place is clean and cosy and is a great place to meet friends for lunch. Also with it being opposite the Parkinson steps it's perfect for a break from uni!

Very good sandwiches and tea. Excellent service. It gets quite busy around lunch time so heads up. Even at the busiest hour though the waiting time remains reasonable.

Am a regular of this place- the sandwiches are fantastic and the coffee is the best value for the University of Leeds surrounding areas. Service is quick and friendly. I'd particularly recommend the smoked pork tenderloin sandwich!

Pickard's has a great atmosphere, and a huge selection of delicious sandwiches (my favourite is the cheddar, red onion & mustard baguette). Definitely beats any lunchtime "meal deal" at supermarket chains - reasonably priced, and the portions are generous. Cakes look great but haven't tried them (yet!). Often busy around lunch time and consequently difficult to get a seat inside at peak times if you want one.

This place, right across from Leeds Uni, has fantastic baguette sandwiches at unbeatable prices. It's usually under 3 GBP for a vegetarian sandwich. The cakes are also really tasty and reasonable. I've never eaten in, but they have a few tables in the back where you can sit.

I was shocked to bite into my £2.30 sandwich from student row to taste a fresh French baguette filled with lovely fresh ingredients and imported Italian ham. Cheap and fantastic.

Went here for lunch and had half a chicken and mozzarella panini and half a pulled pork and cheese one. Both were great but the pulled pork topped it for me as more flavourful. The White chocolate mocha here is great as well. Looks cool...

The title says it all. Having been to Pickards a couple of times I can say that if you fancy a nice lunch at a reasonable price, this is definitely the place to go. Friendly staff, an enormous range of teas (actual loose leaf tea)...

What a lovely place to sit and have a cup of tea. Nothing to look at from the outside and the seating area is best described as recycled old furniture. The bread/sandwiches were fresh and cakes hand made. The tea was served in a metal...

Nice work Pickard's. If you're wantin and off-beat sarnie in retro setting (who isn't?), then speed yer way Pickards-wards. Staff are lovely, background music engages and the interior is welcoming. They're not big on the hot food as far as I can make out but sandwiches...

This place has an excellent selection of teas at good prices, knowledgeable staff and a fine array of sandwiches. Definitely the place to go for tea near the University.

Rather quirky notion of having a tea room run by an estate agent, but it works. Décor has been improved recently but needs a little extra adding, other than that it's a good student tea room and the large menu of teas is impressive. Good...

I think it's fair to say that there are dozens of places around University where you can order your lunch but this is by the far the best place you can go. The service here is always friendly and warm, always service with a smile....

I’m from the village and this pub has changed hands multiple times over the last 5 years or so. No one has made it work and it still isn’t working. Saturday before Christmas with a party of friends with children, the menu was down to pizza and burgers (could be understandable if preparing for Christmas Day). BUT they ran out certain gins, got to the last barrel of Maretti and the place looked a mess. The bar was lifeless and not well kept, it looks like a pub is ready to follow the pattern and soon close (time will tell). I really want this village pub to work but fear it never will. If you’re reading this to make a choice, go to Cromwells or elsewhere until it’s fixed !

The best Greek street food I’ve had in the UK! The owners are so welcoming and the food was so quick to come out. Recommend the halloumi gyros - absolutely delicious. Definitely coming back!
