Picante Peri Peri in Reading

This is not picante peri peri anymore don't order online. They'll rip you off and you won't get your food. It's mems African food. Wouldn't order there either, over priced below standard. A large portion just meant more rice still with one dry flavourless chicken leg, fish was well over cooked too. Not a good night for me

Ordered the Peri Peri mix Platter pretty late, but the food came in still hot and tasted amazing. The Grilled chicken slaps. Didn't enjoy the pie though but that's just me. Overall had a good time. Looking forward to try more menu items in store.

Got food poisoning and have now become really sick, I've not been sick in years, avoid 1/4 pounders or you'll suffer the same fate. Chips were reheated and the only nice thing was the drink which was cold

Worst food about!!! Chicken is not fresh and can tell it’s been sat there for a long time or re fried. If you order a wrap, you might aswell just order 2 strips. Chips are terrible didn’t know they done quadruple cooked chips. Also ordered half a chicken lemon and herb absolutely stank like fish didn’t even bother with that… sent a free desert and even that was frozen. Good luck and fair play if you ever eat from this place..SHOCKING. £30 down the drain

Fried chicken is usually nice. This time round the strips were hard the wings were flat and tasted weird also seemed like it had been re fried. Disgusting just wasted £19 not again . Gross

Today I have visited this place(I was there many times before but this time it was very bad), I have found stone in the food instead of salad ingredients, I have ordered half gourmet burger and fried wrap without souces. The price was 9.98, which is overpriced I guess and since there is missing half of ingredients and as I said I found a small stone in the food. I guess some food inspection should be comming to check that place. As well in the past weeks there was few fire alarms since staff over there doesn't know how to turn on ventilation system.

This take away is one of the best in reading. I have tried this food many times but the grilled items are too much delicious and best stuff . Its only one takeaway where I enjoy the food fully satisfaction.

My family used to love the chicken from this place. I'm so sad because they changed the owner and unfortunately they changed the food aswell. Does not taste nothing like before it's terrible. Bring the old owners back please

We usually go every day to Picante all of the time for lunch, we loved the food and we loved the staff... however over the last 3 weeks the food has completely changed for the worse, some of us have been sick and the orders always are wrong.... Bring back Ishack

Bin ringing for 2 days 2 make an order but dont answer the phones that's because they want you 2 order online as the prices are a lot more. I've even driven past and can see there not bizzy there just making customers pay the online rates well there's a lot more shops that will answer the phone so be aware they want more money online

Absolutely amazing food, had the peri peri wings and cheeseburger! Will definitely be going there again. Staff are amazing, friendly and the food is affordable not expensive at all!

Tried many peri peri spots in reading but I think I've found my favourite. I ordered online and even though my order forget the chips, my burger and wings were fantastic. Big peri fillet in the burger and full sized peri wings all juicy and tender, not to mention the value of the meals! Will definitely be returning soon.

Tried this new place and found the cheapest around with quality food and taste. I am a regular customer now and it has never disappointed me.. 10 stars well done & keep it up.. 👍

What can I say shop front is clean and also the seating, the guy serving was also really nice. Packaging of the product is simple would of preferred a paper bag instead of plastic, today I had a chicken wrap meal with Hot piri piri sauce, as a previous reviewer stated I'm not so sure about there mayonnaise I would certainly ask to go with out it next time, the fries were fairly decent, would of been even better if not over cooked... In all thou for the price under a £5 not bad at all

I got the number 3 wrap with sweet chilli sauce and oh my gosh it was SOOO GOOD. It's like a much better version of Mcdonald's wrap combined with a Nando's flavour. I definitely would come back there and order again. The owner was really nice and friendly as well! 10000/10 would recommend!

I was with my wife and 2 kids, we was on a road trip as we saw this chicken shop. Decided to take a quick stop to eat it. The food was amazing, the chips is high quality chips as well as the juicy burgers. Definitely recommend going there. Workers are really polite, the food is amazing, it’s a high quality respectful shop.
