Everything we had was really tasty. We ordered about 4 starter plates to begin and then after we had eaten them we ordered 2 main course plates and 2 sides. This was a perfect amount of food for 2 and was reasonably priced for the quality. We particularly liked the cod croquettes, the wood fired sea bass and beef in Chianti. Serivce was very good and there were some nice touches - complimentary lemoncillo at the end and they allowed us to buy one glass of Chianti despite the menu stating you could only buy it by the bottle.

We ate as a table of 8 adults and four children and the menu catered for everyone and at the pace of adults and kids eating together. Great selection of food and drinks with attentive and efficient service. Food was excellent and we ended up having drinks in the lovely Punchbowl bar .. brilliant night x

The best little place if you want to try smaller portions of loads of different dishes. I have visited on three separate occasions and every time its been fab!

Every time we go the portions get smaller! The food is nice enough (which is why we go back) and the service is good but I question the reducing portion sizes. We'll leave it a few months and see if it reverses.

This restaurant is located at the back of the punch bowl restaurant and once inside, it feels like an entirely different establishment. We have been once and have vowed never to return. Whilst the food is fairly tasty, the little plates are tiny and expensive. We managed to rack up a huge bill.(considerably more expensive than next door) and despite this, left feeling hungry and dissatisfied. We ended up stopping for a portion of chips on the way home! Seems we weren't the only ones, the restaurant was very quiet as a pose to next door which was packed to the rafters. In conclusion, don't bother!

came here with husband and another couple due to my pregnancy hormones craving tapas and all 4 of us left leaving extremely well fed and happy (5 including the baby) on arrival we had a drink in the bar area of the punch bowl and weren't too sure about where Piattino was as we didn't notice any signs, however, asking the bar staff they pointed us in the right direction. (heads up bills are completely separate between punch bowl and piattino) the restaurant has a really nice relaxed feel to it and the staff were excellent. all of them were attentive, friendly and knowledgeable. the food was beautiful. i didn't even get pictures because it wasn't left on the plate long enough. i think we ended up having 5 dishes each and that was more than enough. i highly recommend the prawns in chilli and garlic. i definitely recommend this place and cannot wait to return.

A group of us went out to Piattino last night for a friends birthday and had a great time . The staff were attentive and food was superb. A great summers evening with the doors open and not a hint of a breeze . It’s well worth a visit for something slightly different than the usual restaurants .

Never one to write a review but today I am due to having not only ANAZING food but don’t think I’ve ever been anywhere where every single staff member was AMAZING too. All clearly very happy in the work they do. So happy, friendly, welcoming and keen to recommend and advice on the dishes. All knew the dishes well. Sorry, don’t know any of the names but we dined last night (17th) ALL fab Let’s not forget the chef .. didn’t obviously meet him but he made us 8 dishes throughout the evening which were all superb. We’ve taken a menu away to remind us what we had so that when we return we can try different ones. I’m pretty confident we won’t be disappointed in any of them on the menu. Can’t wait to return ... thank you Tapas/anti pasti ... if you like both. You’ll love here 💝

We called at the Punchbowl for a drink and fancied a light bite having eaten lunchtime. The menu and food looked good but nothing snacky. We had heard about Piattino but not tried it before. The staff were very nice and the restaurant was decorated in an attractive modern design with opening doors onto an outside dining area like a courtyard. The chap serving us was very affable, explaining the concept of the restaurant, tapas but Italian. Our food was delivered quickly and was perfect for our needs, cooked well and so tasty. It is easy not to realise Piattino is behind the main dining room of the Punchbowl but don't miss this little gem.

Newly open we didn't know what to expect and it turned out to be excellent. To paint a picture think Spanish tapas, only its Italian what more could you ask for. The menu starts off with small plates say one to two bites and as you work through the menu , it's four layers, then the plates and portions get larger but never too big. I love this way of dining as if your a sharing family as we are the you get to taste most everything. The ambiance was upmarket canteen style which along with the staff was very comfortable and approachable. It was a great evening and I would recommend it to anyone, it works really well for families to.

I was away on business & staying at the Punchbowl for a couple of nights & had already eaten in their (very good) restaurant but fancied a change. Piattino really delivered. Warm, friendly, great staff. Lovely authentic menu which actually delivered on its promise. Eating early I was actually the only customer for the first 20 minutes but the ambience & style still created a good atmosphere. Following good advice from my server I opted for 3 dishes which were generous & I can eat! Each was really delicious. A couple of beers (Italian too) all finished off with a complementary limoncello. Overall, authentic Italian tapas at their best, great service & lovely ambience (when I left the place was full). Thank you.

We had our wedding evening reception here after The Punchbowl adding this in mid-2018 as well as our family meal the night before the wedding (large-scale events are no longer an option). There were about 25 of us including children. We’d had our food tasting previously and thought it would be a great way to get the family together before our big day. The tapas were exceptional and catered for everyone (we had some young children too!) and the portion sizes were perfect. Everyone enjoyed the meal here and though we haven’t had a chance to return, we are planning to do so!

A group of 4 of us came on a Tuesday evening to try out the food. Firstly, it was delicious but I questioned whether it deserved the price tag. The plates are small but very few are under £7 and you need 3-4 per person. The mark up seems high, for instance the pizzas are minuscule for £8. Chicken wings again, should be cheap but were priced at £8 (I recommend visiting the butchers social for their legendary chicken wings which similar price but much more substantial). There’s no plain bread to help fill up so honestly, I found myself conscious of what I was eating, trying not to overspend and dreading the bill...and left hungry. Think is slightly contradictory of the main Punchbowl restaurant which again, pricey, but are very good portions and very tasty.

Visited recently but have to say didn't really enjoy the food or concept. We had a couple of things each but none of it was great. The decor and location are great and I think they could refine the menu and food to become somewhere great.

Decided to try the Italian tapas next door to the punch bowl and had a fabulous evening of delicious food and a wonderful wine . Lovely crostini with buratta Palma ham and fig , aubergine parmigiana , Italian sausage, sourdough pizza , baked gnocchi , pear rocket and Gorgonzola salad , sharing board of Italian meat - phew ! No room for pudding . Lovely puglian red wine too . The service was amazing tonight - highly recommended

Small restaurant at the rear of the Punch Bowl restaurant. On entry the decor was light and modern. Unfortunately the smell of deep fat frying hung in the air, so extraction needs attention. The food, Tapas style, varied menu, small potions however really tasty.

Delicious food, freshly prepared. Small menu, so chefs can focus on getting every dish right, and they did just that. Had about 8 or 9 small plates, 8 of which were delicious. Wasn’t a massive fan on the chicken wings, they didn’t seem to fit with the rest of the meal/menu.

If you dont fancy a full scale meal at The First Class Punch Bowl, then this place ( on the same premises) offers a superb alternative. Lovely selection of tapas style (piattino) plates...beautifully presented...and offered with a great selection of beers and Italian Wines. The service is every bit as good as The Punch Bowl and the place is buzzing with atmosphere. Great place to meet friends or celebrate an occasion.

Took some good friends here as we’d heard rave reports and we weren’t disappointed! This place has lovely decor and was lively and busy. Staff were attentive and knowledgeable about food and the extensive wine list (all of which can be ordered by the glass - nice touch ) Good to be able to order as we were going along and stop when full - Being full didn’t prevent us from enjoying the pudding sharing platter though - yum!

Great Italian food and atmosphere. We ordered calamari fritti and insalata caprese which were served extremely fast as appetisers. The calamari had a great sauce. For the mains we had beef cannelloni and egg-shaped filled pasta with beef - both big portions and very delicious. The limonchelo cheesecake was very delicate and balanced - not too sweet, not too sour, and the warm walnut cake in combination with the ice-cream was a lovely dessert. We enjoyed the Christmas decoration at the lounge, the dim lighting and the romantic atmosphere. The brand new Christmas coctail was very pretty and had an interesting taste. The service was incredible - very polite and smiling staff. They took pictures of us, made us feel very special on our anniversary by giving us limonchelo on the house. Overall, we had a lovely night thanks to all the staff! Highly recommend!

The pizzas are not Italian, they are American types, frozen, the pizzas that are made in kebab shops when people are drunk. Pizzas are to be avoided for Italians. Excellent service.
