Solid food and lovely atmosphere (especially cool artwork) and made a great break after a visit to the Tennyson house & gardens at Farringford. We got chalkstream trout bagel (excellent beetroot renounce and excellent pickled shallots and generous serving of trout). Also got the hash browns with Parmesan and home made ketchup which was another win. Ditto for the croissant which was flaky and delicious with local butter and jam. Perfect meal and lovely staff - definitely recommend!

After a 10k walk, I really wanted a bagel and a coffee, but it’s so popular I didn’t get here early enough… however, I was told to try the Sausage roll, and boy, it was amazing. Great place 5*, first time back since the refurb and new ownership… will be back very soon.

What can I say... Let me start by saying my wife and I care about good food, not fancy pretentious food, food that is made with care and served by people that mirror that. With that in mind, in my experience, this place has got to be one of the best cafe's in the country. Whilst on holiday with my wife children and puppy we thought we'd swing by for some breakfast on my wife's birthday. we had pancakes, breakfast bagels, coffees, some bits for my children and chorizo hash browns. Every part of our meal was a sensation and those Hash Browns... A week later I'm still thinking about them! The staff were so lovely, it was like being welcomed by old friends. it was so good i booked a table for breakfast on my birthday for the following Saturday and they pulled out the stops, gave me a little birthday treat and sang happy birthday. I've seen reviews saying its expensive, its not cheap but its certainly not extortionate and in my opinion you cant get better food and service for less. I will not be visiting the island without a trip to the cafe ever again. Thank you to the whole team for such a lovely experience.

I'm afraid I am editing my review, but not in a positive way. I used to really like this cafe. Nice vibe. I was always spoiled for choice trying to decide what to order and there was something for everyone, but since the ownership changed in Jan 25 I'm really struggling to find something I want to eat. Now it's just a 'Brunch' menu and heavy on the bagels. It's still lovely, and is in a great location, but I feel the choice is far too limited and leaves you wondering where the rest of the menu is. What happened to the fab Greek Salad, the 'Tart of the day' and all the other specials? I really think you need to expand your offering for the demographic you have to work with. Sorry, but I'm dropping my food score from 5 to 2 due to the limited choice. It is on the expensive side although I wouldn't mind paying if there was something that actually grabbed me.

We visited today for the first time and what an amazing experience. My wife Jenny had the pancakes that were amazing and i had the breakfast bagel, the biggest bagel i had ever had and would recommend it. Met the owners who are a lovely couple and we wish them all the luck with this amazing cafe. The member of staff who served us was brilliant and very helpful. Well worth the visit you will not be disappointed, we will be recommending friends and anybody else that read this to pay this new establishment a visit and help them become a successful business as they well deserve it. See you soon. Terry & Jenny (Shanklin)

Always loved The Piano Cafe but the change of menu is rather disappointing - you have to really enjoy Bagels- which I never have. Three in our party and we all felt let down by meal choices - a beef based bagel for £14 but no other bits with it like a salad garnish or crisps? - £57 for what is basically a sandwich and a cup of tea for 3 - can’t fault the service but food seems expensive for what it is - cakes used to be brillliant but now it’s flapjacks and cookies - sorry to be negative but we probably won’t be back unless it’s just for tea.

Mid week lunch for 5 towards the end of the season. One of our group was GF and the cafe amended the menu to Suit . Everyone agreed all meals (Greek Pie/chicken burger /pizza) were delicious moist and packed with flavour. Excellent quality ingredients. Coffee was exceptional. Atmosphere was chilled and the staff friendly and efficient. Whole experience was a joy. And the bill for 5 meals /coffee was £65. Finally a restaurant that respected its customers enough to deliver a decent meal at a fair price with a smile on its face . Perhaps this explains why cafe was buzzing.

What a load of overpriced nonsense. Don’t expect a decent feed at this place. If you’re after an aesthetically pleasing salad this is your spot. My youngest had 2 cheap slices of bread with a slice of mozzarella £6 wish I’d taken a photo very disappointed. I had the pizza from the specials if you want to pay £13 for a shop brought pice of flat bread to have some tomato purée spread on it with a few slices of mozzarella absolutely no flavour again this is your spot. Looks nice from the outside but what an annoying waste of money! Oh and let’s not forget how long we waited, others maybe locals arrived after us and served first. Even the kids were asking how long the food would be. Not sure anything is cooked on site just seems to be someone out back throwing a load of lettuce about. Very below par

Piano Cafe and Greek I recently visited Piano Cafe and Greek Takeaway and had a wonderful experience. I ordered a latte iced and a hot latte. I had the breakfast sandwich and the sourdough toast with feta, The quality of both drinks was fantastic, with a good menu that clearly uses high-quality ingredients. The flavors were great, and the presentation was impressive. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive. I visited at 9 am, and the cafe was fairly quiet, making for a peaceful and enjoyable atmosphere. The ambiance was excellent, with a great aesthetic that added to the overall experience. I highly recommend Piano Cafe and Greek Takeaway to anyone looking for a pleasant and satisfying cafe experience. It deserves a full 5/5 stars.

One of very few places serving food on a Monday afternoon. We were trying to get to the Needles, but roads leading there were closed. Stopped here after going round and round, starving, kitchen was closing in 20 minutes. A very kind man got a table ready for us outside, promptly took our order and brought our drinks. His pleasant manner certainly calmed our nerves. Most of us ordered crab sandwiches, they arrived quickly, big portion of crab filling in a very fresh bread, delicious. Nice decor inside, restrooms clean. We also received detailed information how to get to our destination through the detours. Highly recommend.

I went to this place on a Saturday Morning. It was a little bit challenging to find parking but we parked on a road nearby. You can see that this place is popular especially by cyclists. We went with our 12 month old baby and we received a very quick and friendly welcome, a table and a baby highchair. We ordered the Piano breakfast and the vegetarian option as well as a banana for the baby. We didn't have to wait long to be served and eat which was nice. The food was good, although we found the slice of bread a bit hard, and the beans were served in a small pot with a special something added to it, which personally I didn't particularly like, I would have preferred a normal pot of beans, with nothing special added to it. The egg was runny, which is good and the rest of the meal was nicely cooked. Later on, a person started playing the piano, which was nice because he played beautifully and added charm to the whole experience. The people working there were really friendly and polite. They didn't charge us for the banana the baby ate, which was thoughtful of them. The facility offered a baby changing station, but wouldn't recommend taking a pram with you. There isn't much space for it, unless you eat outside if there is space and no smokers around. Overall a good experience and I would recommend going.

What a fantastic little find this cafe was and so close to the ferry port, we stopped in for something to eat and it was such a lovely place the owners were all smiles and happy to help with anything, my husband was after a panini but they don't do them he went with a wrap instead and he was asked if he would like that toasted which was nice of them to ask, my son had a sausage baguette and was so shocked at all the meat in it (most places don't give you a decent amount) to which he happily tucked into, I had a jacket potato with beans and having a dairy intolerance they offered me the dairy free alternative to the usual butter I also had a tea with oat milk and the husband had a coffee, our youngest son had a cheese sandwich which he didn't eat but that's because he saw chocolate biscuits his favourite biscuits to be fair again no drama as we asked for it to be wrapped so we could take it with us (he ate it in the car while waiting for the ferry), Vic and Dan are amazing and I would definitely recommend this little cafe there prices are fair and you get a decent amount of food as well, if we do return to isle of wight for a holiday again we will definitely be back.

Nice staff, reasonable price and we love a bit of cash preferred! Good doughnuts and hot chocolate perfect from when you come out the sea!
