Mid week lunch for 5 towards the end of the season. One of our group was GF and the cafe amended the menu to Suit . Everyone agreed all meals (Greek Pie/chicken burger /pizza) were delicious moist and packed with flavour. Excellent quality ingredients. Coffee was exceptional. Atmosphere was chilled and the staff friendly and efficient. Whole experience was a joy. And the bill for 5 meals /coffee was £65. Finally a restaurant that respected its customers enough to deliver a decent meal at a fair price with a smile on its face . Perhaps this explains why cafe was buzzing.

What a load of overpriced nonsense. Don’t expect a decent feed at this place. If you’re after an aesthetically pleasing salad this is your spot. My youngest had 2 cheap slices of bread with a slice of mozzarella £6 wish I’d taken a photo very disappointed. I had the pizza from the specials if you want to pay £13 for a shop brought pice of flat bread to have some tomato purée spread on it with a few slices of mozzarella absolutely no flavour again this is your spot. Looks nice from the outside but what an annoying waste of money! Oh and let’s not forget how long we waited, others maybe locals arrived after us and served first. Even the kids were asking how long the food would be. Not sure anything is cooked on site just seems to be someone out back throwing a load of lettuce about. Very below par

A lovely vibrant place! We'd spent some time at Farringford and fancied lunch afterwards. A variety of freshly cooked Mediterranean and Asian fusion foods. My friend had Shakshuka topped with feta and bread; another had a generous helping of hummus, salad, avocado on flat bread, I had a large piece of curried paneer tart with salad, nachos and coleslaw. Fantastic place, great service with a smile ( and a song at one point!) , will definitely come again!

Piano Cafe and Greek I recently visited Piano Cafe and Greek Takeaway and had a wonderful experience. I ordered a latte iced and a hot latte. I had the breakfast sandwich and the sourdough toast with feta, The quality of both drinks was fantastic, with a good menu that clearly uses high-quality ingredients. The flavors were great, and the presentation was impressive. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive. I visited at 9 am, and the cafe was fairly quiet, making for a peaceful and enjoyable atmosphere. The ambiance was excellent, with a great aesthetic that added to the overall experience. I highly recommend Piano Cafe and Greek Takeaway to anyone looking for a pleasant and satisfying cafe experience. It deserves a full 5/5 stars.

One of very few places serving food on a Monday afternoon. We were trying to get to the Needles, but roads leading there were closed. Stopped here after going round and round, starving, kitchen was closing in 20 minutes. A very kind man got a table ready for us outside, promptly took our order and brought our drinks. His pleasant manner certainly calmed our nerves. Most of us ordered crab sandwiches, they arrived quickly, big portion of crab filling in a very fresh bread, delicious. Nice decor inside, restrooms clean. We also received detailed information how to get to our destination through the detours. Highly recommend.

I went to this place on a Saturday Morning. It was a little bit challenging to find parking but we parked on a road nearby. You can see that this place is popular especially by cyclists. We went with our 12 month old baby and we received a very quick and friendly welcome, a table and a baby highchair. We ordered the Piano breakfast and the vegetarian option as well as a banana for the baby. We didn't have to wait long to be served and eat which was nice. The food was good, although we found the slice of bread a bit hard, and the beans were served in a small pot with a special something added to it, which personally I didn't particularly like, I would have preferred a normal pot of beans, with nothing special added to it. The egg was runny, which is good and the rest of the meal was nicely cooked. Later on, a person started playing the piano, which was nice because he played beautifully and added charm to the whole experience. The people working there were really friendly and polite. They didn't charge us for the banana the baby ate, which was thoughtful of them. The facility offered a baby changing station, but wouldn't recommend taking a pram with you. There isn't much space for it, unless you eat outside if there is space and no smokers around. Overall a good experience and I would recommend going.

Unfortunately food wasn't good. Think perhaps victims of their own success. Shakshuka poached eggs were overcooked/hard also didn't come with the advertised sour dough (£14 dish). Bacon and sausage on other dish were tough. When we tried to exchange tomato and mushrooms for extra sausage the server muttered under her breath "I can't be bothered to argue" - we weren't arguing but asking politely. Seemed frazzled and unable to handle demand.

I asked for poached egg on toast. I got 2 poached egg on 2 pieces of toasted sourdough - no butter on toast - poached eggs laid in top. Poached eggs were cooked to perfection - both eggs and toast were at best tepid. Hubby had one sausage and bacon tomato - mushrooms “smoky” baked beans - toast (normal white) and sourdough bread and fried egg. Why would you have “smoky” beans in breakfast menu? We both had tea. Pot - tea leaves in strainer at top of pot - water beneath. Very weak tasteless tea. £28.50. Not good value.

We were not impressed with our visit. Ordered eggs on sourdough toast and got one slice of bread with two eggs. We also ordered bacon on toast and got two slices of bacon on one piece of bread! Full English breakfast was stingy with one sausage one egg 2 bacon beans and one small slice of toast for £13. My shakshuka only came with one small piece of bread. Won’t be returning again, stingy portions for extortionate prices.

This place is famous for its views across the Solent, but only in the summer. In the winter the windows are always steamed up giving you near to no visibility outside. We didn’t eat but the menu looks good and average prices for the area. Drinks were more expensive than the Seaview Hotel just around the corner. +£1 per drink on gin & tonic. It was November on a Friday evening and all tables were reserved. We did sit at one of their best tables for our drink ‘Captain Ted’s Table’ and it was wobbly as hell. Felt like it was going to give way at any time. Come on this is an easy fix.

We have been here many times over the years and looked forward to our visit again this year. What a disappointment. We had a cream tea which consisted of a pot of tea, 2 scones, butter, cream and jam. The jam and cream pots were half the size they used to be and the butter was barely there, adequate enough for one scone but certainly not two. The jug of milk supplied did not have enough milk for one cup of tea and we had to ask for extra. I do not drink tea and asked for my tea to be substituted with coffee, big mistake, it was undrinkable. Went we went to pay we were told 'cash only' and I was lucky to find some cash in the bottom of my bag. This should be made clear when you enter and before you order as a lot of people do not carry cash. Our experience was so different to every other visit we wondered if there were 'new owners' but overheard the owner telling other visitors that she had been there 17 years. Sadly will not be returning.

A very peaceful place to stay, in the centre of Newport, conveniently located, close to the bus station and to restaurants. Charming interiors, with a lot of character. Spacious, comfortable and clean room. Breakfast is served, and freshly prepared after the order is made. Hostess is friendly and Staff polite. We will definitely stay there again!
