If you like no flavoured sauces this is the place for you, literally no flavour to both sweet and sour or curry, lots of kick pepper wise, zero flavour otherwise

Food absolutly tasteless £30.00 in the bin chips were just bits gross never go back

Called in as we'd been travelling all day and got into our accommodation late in the day. Food was hot, tasty, hassle free and quick, what more do you want from take away?? Word to the wise, they don't deliver, pick up only.

Lady on the phone was patient and helpful when taking my order for the family of 6. She told me it would be ready in 10 minutes, which it definitely was because I got there and it was neatly packed in a box ready for me to take away. Reasonably priced too. I found £50 for what we ordered a nice price. The lady was working alone and full of smiles. Got home and stuck a couple of the dishes in the microwave for a minute (my fault for not getting there quicker) Food was very tasty, we all enjoyed it, Chicken Kung Po was 10/10. Very good, we will return 👌🏽 .

First off the actual shop was spotless, I’ve never seen a takeaway as clean, the customer service was amazing the lady was so kind and the food was absolutely delicious, would definitely recommend if you have the opportunity

The best Chinese takeaway I’ve ever had. I had special ginger and spring onion, and a the special shared starter (it serves 2 people, so hot x2 for 4 of us) Salt and pepper chips were perfect, and the the meat in the special was fresh and tender. Last came here about 8 years ago and it’s better that I remembered. Highly recommend, and it’s not a rip off either. Thank you

Possibly the best Chinese Takeaway in Pwllheli since the new owners have taken over. Been a few times in the past month, good food every time. Recommended.

Lovely, generous portions and the staff are great. The price is reasonable too compared to many Chinese take aways.

Best Chinese in the area. I used Bamboo because the old owners of Phoenix left and was taken over by new people. The food was awful during their tenure. The new people are absolutely amazing. Any bad reviews here will be for the previous people. Please give it a go, you won't be disappointed.

Hands down. The worst chinese we've ever had in our lives. The cheapest meats available in Wales. The Ribs had all flakey bones sticking out. The chicken balls were softer than sponge cake, chips undercooked, prawn toast soggy, the rice was dryer than the surface of Mars. The Char Siu was like a hubba bubba. Madness that this is 4 stars. All these locals voting it 5 stars show exactly why the countries subjugated.

Asked for extra hot beef curry it was tasteless. Phoned up to express my dissatisfaction all they said was you ordered at 5pm the spices disappear this was 10pm. They were not interested don’t have a takeaway from here use somewhere else in Pwllheli

Fillet steak kung Po and king prawn curry and Singapore vermicelli. All excellent. This is much better than the other Chinese takeaway. The fillet steak Kung po is the best dish they do.

Excellent food. Very tasty, fresh and hot. Good sized portions and reasonably priced. Phoned in my order and ready in 10 minutes to pick up. Can’t fault this place.

Typical Chinese takeaway food, reminded me of Dublin takeaways where i am from. That type of menu and food. Fried noodles were very nice, as was Singapore chow mein and chicken curry. Salt n pepper chicken as a starter was nice also

Limp chips that haven't been cooked properly. Asked for thick noodles for chow mein got horrible thin ones. Half a portion of crispy beef. Rubbish

We ordered Singapore vermicelli, sweet and sour chicken balls, salt and pepper chips and curry sauce. Everything was lovely, so tasty and fresh. We really enjoyed it and would definitely order again. Thanks phoenix for a lovely meal!

Just had takeaway 2 X egg fried rice, 2 X sweet & sour chicken portion of chips and prawn toast, absolutely disgusting, chips where like a few scraps at the bottom of the fryer... chicken balls where like rubber, rice was just a dark brown and no flavour, never in my life can I say I have had a takeaway so bad, and £22 worse off. Think there cook wants them shut down or something.

Last night we ordered 2 hot and sour soup, prawn toast, Singapore vermicelli, beef chow mein, chicken curry and egg fried rice. The lady behind the counter was lovely, the place looked very clean, and the food was fast, hot and tasty. The prices are very reasonable and the portions generous. The only problem we had was the beef in the chow mein was a little chewy but other than that the food was lovely and we wouldn't hesitate going back there.

Three of us had different dishes, all excellent.

Good prices and ok food. Used many times but did have a King Prawn Fu Yung which was a bit wet and disappointing.

Friendly staff and quick service. Enjoyed the food which was salt and pepper chicken and fried rice. Chips were average! Price was more than i would normally pay clearly aimed at tourists. That said werth a visit.

Egg fried rice seemed reheated and 3 days old. Chicken curry like 2 day old soup no district flavour and chicken like rubber. Chips we couldn't eat seemed old and cooked in a week old fat. Disgusting. Ribs were raw and kids couldn't eat due to texture. Chowmain was tasteless, greasy and sloppy. Worse Chinese we ever had. Avoid like the plague.

If you like grey, tasteless, congealed food that is akin to school dinners, this place for you! II is probably the worst Chinese I have ever tasted. We were a group of 5 and not in of us liked the dish we ordered... We are probably spoilt by the great choice in Greater Manchester, but hey ho! Save your money and get a Chinese micro meal from the shops!

Good food but, I know this sounds crazy, food waste is encouraged by their huge portions.

Worse food ever eaten chips recooked curry and BBQ sauce watery and the chicken absolutely disgusting the ribs were not even cooked properly, fried rice not much cop either. Won't be going there again to feed the dust bin.

To be honest I was a little disappointed. I had Chicken Curry, which the chicken was rubbery and sauce very bland. Wife had sweet n sour chicken, chewey and was very dry. The special fried rice is different from South Wales, it had brocolli and noodles in it. I suppose I should have asked what was in it when ordering.

The food looked great and there was plenty of it, but it was bland and simply wasn’t seasoned correctly. We chucked all of the remains of the dishes away, which is not something we normally do as I love cold chinese the next day

Rubbish service stood there and was ignored for 10 mins had to interrupt a customer to get served never go there again complete ignorance

Don’t bother, always mixing up the order and don’t get what you pay for and then refuse to refund it or even exchange it, waste of time, lost a good group of ten regular customers due to this, won’t be coming again.

Food nice ,bit when I went with sister they gave her free prawn crackers,when I went on my own ,never got none ,she said cos they didn't know me ,one rule one?

Prompt and friendly service but nothing special with regards to the food. We had yung chow fried rice, lemon chicken and beef satay. The rice was a bit on the oily side but still nice, the beef satay was really good, but the lemon chicken was very disappointing - in fact the worst I've had. It was all batter, hardly any chicken in it what so ever.

Unfortunately, despite their online menu saying it should be open, on the night we visited recently it was closed. It was open the following night but we had already eaten when we noticed. Therefore can't review the food at all, but just warn others the opening times advertised might not reflect reality!

Lovely take away. Very tasty, generous portions and reasonable. Probably best to pre order as had to wait a while as they were so busy. They have menus on the counter.

The food was amazing and the portions were massive. Great value for money and barely any wait. It took less than 10 minutes to get the food ready.

The food from here is lovely, the chicken chow mien was enough for 2 good size portions. They were quick to serve us. One downfall. We had got a menu which stated it was open on Mondays when we got there it was shut. The only place it says this is behind the counter when you go to order. It was quiet when we went but I expect weekend would be busy.

Serves high quality chinese food and is also a chip shop. Brilliant!!!

This is my Chinese food takeaway of choice. The food is excellent. The portions are made for the hungry man. The set meal for two easily feeds four and the prices are good. Parking could not be easier as the towns main car park is immediately opposite and adjacent to the bus station. Unfortunately being a rural area and the distances being to great delivery is not offered.

Just went tonight for the first time. Had the meal for 4. It easily fed 6 of us, good portions and lots of meat. All of it was really really nice stuff. Will defo be going again.
