Pho House in Islington

Good food from a vegetarians standpoint and an extremely enjoyable meal. However I do recall eating around half an hour for my food so the service isn't the best however thats nothing major and that's my only minor complaint.

Nice environment, restaurant clean and looks very nice. Food also great. Perfect service, would definitely reccomend. Starter and main served at same time, would be nice to have the starter first and then after 5-10mins to receive mains. Still a really nice place though.

Having eaten at Pho House on a few occasions, the food is generally good but the restaurant is not geared up for being a good choice for food/drink prior to a match at the Emirates. Most recently we had a booking at 6:15pm in advance of a 7:45pm kick-off. Our food (three straightforward noodle dishes) took over an hour to arrive and we ended up missing the first 15 minutes of a match. Not the first time this has happened. Staff and kitchen were clearly unprepared for the number of customers or requirement among most diners to reach the stadium in time for kick off. Will skip in future unless in the area for reasons unrelated to football.

Popped in on the last day before lockdown to have a bit of lunch. Had the Bún bò Huế based on a recommendation for a friend and it was really good. Good size portion with enough meat and not too much vermicelli. When done right the heat comes through when you eat it but the broth should have a flavour that isn't necessarily dominated by heat, which this did. Service is no-frills, but perfectly fine. I think I may have been undercharged, or else they're passing the recent VAT reduction on to customers without updating pricing on the menu. Either way, it was cheaper than I was expecting to pay, which is no bad thing.

First of all, this restaurant doesn't care about social distancing and the table next to me was about 20cm away from my elbow. Service was mixed: one lovely waiter, one with a dismissive attitude. Food was OK - nothing special to justify a return visit.

Decided to have a takeaway from this place and never again! Firstly, by the time we realised, we had been overcharged. The green papaya salad had no beef, the spring rolls looked and tasted if they had been cooked a number of times, the egg fried rice only filled half the container and the sizzling beef was completely raw inside. Picture attached. The salad did taste nice but we are not sure what one we got. It certainly was not the salad we ordered. It is a shame, when this place first opened, it was really good but in the last couple of years it has steadily gone down hill. Serving raw meat is the last straw and certainly the last visit to this place.

Their customer service is terrible to the next level. They gave my take away to another person by mistake. Then they expected me to just be ok with taking her order, which is completely different to mine. My mind is blown at how stupid that is. Worse they pretended to check the order and handed it to me knowing it's the wrong order.

Had lunch with an old girlfriend here and absolutely enjoyed it. We shared a seafood salt platter which actually could have been our mail meal. Substantial portions and very reasonable prices. Staff were friendly and inviting. Service was quick. Maybe a little too quick as we hadn’t finished our starter when the mail arrived! Decor, not stunning, but very nice all the same. I’d recommend this to anyone wanting to have a great lunch!

Ordered food (see photos) which cost us a staggering £53. Substandard quality that should not be allowed to be served to the public. We could not even identify what it was and everything looked the same. The mixed seafood platter in the photo was £22 and consisted of defrosted, deep fried, battered "fish pieces" and the prawn salad had a single shrimp on it. The other fish in the photos looked the same as the shrimp salad and not sure what it was when we looked at it. We called to return it for a refund and got only £23 back. Then went myself and returned the food untouched the next day and had to argue and threaten to call trading standards to get our money back. The manager (Tony) started to argue with me and called me rude - most certainly a case for Gordon Ramsey's "Restaurants from Hell".

Ordered the soft chilli crab and a carmalised pork belly. Both dishes full of flavour and arrived in good time. Will defo back again 😎

Great quality Vietnamese food - pork spring rolls were excellent and the chicken curry delicious. Friendly service and Asahi beer on tap. What more could you ask for?

I reccommend a visit to this restaurant. We had the special pho of the haouse and a dish of noodles. The food was tasty and the portions were big enough to satisfy our huge hunger. The staff is really vietnamese and all of them have been kind. Next time we will try the meat, it looked delicious.

OK, I've written about Pho House before but it's great for a quick proper bite before an evening game; again at 6.15 it has plenty of tables. Good sized portions, short waiting time.
