I never write reviews, but I had such a horrible experience from the manageress "Jodie". So I want to write about it here. I often go to Pho (wimbledon and central london) and I LOVE it there.. but this was my FIRST TIME to the KINGSTON branch. I was very upset from the rude service that we had. She was constantly curt. Every answer she gave was abrupt and felt rude). She was very unattentive. (back to our table), and I had to get up to get other staff to help (as she was unhelpful). With the receipt at the end, she said she cant give us a receipt from her payment machine. (But actually, every Pho I have visited elsewhere always give me a receipt from the card reader machine at the table immediately when I pay). She lied to me and said that the machine doesnt give receipts!! Eventually after I demanded a receipt, she issued it from her till. I also asked for all our food to come out together. but it came out very far apart.. I was waiting and waiting, and my food was getting cold. Generally, her rude attitude completely spoiled my meal with my son (whom I was visiting). I did not enjoy this meal at all. I spent £71 on the two of us and felt completely upset and irritated from the manageress's curt and unattentive service. We arrived to the restaurant at about 8:50pm and left at about 10:pm. Also: side note: a bit upset they ran out of Summer Rolls, but that's nobody's fault. But doesnt help when the service was so absolutely rude. (summer rolls is part of the vietnamese experience for me). Even when I got home it was on my mind how rude she was. Again, sorry for the angry review, but this has really bothered me. I dont understand how such rude people can work as a manageress.

I Sent the meatballs back twice for being cold. After the second time I decline nothing else. The food’s clearly pre cooked and then warmed up and served. The staff were apologetic and refunded the meal, and clearly not the waitress staffs fault. Also found a kitchen member sprinting out the toilets shortly after I entered without washing their hands - maybe because it’s next to the kicthen and not allowed to use customer toilets

I went to the first Pho restaurant in Exeter and googled other locations straight after that visit. As always, Pho serves the most delicious food - their Curry Pho is absolutely fantastic. Full of flavour, not too spicy and served with herbs on the side. I love how they cater for all allergies and food intolerances. In addition, this restaurant has a really great interior design.

Pho sells good noodle soups and is reasonable value if you don't order starters or sides. I always try to order to order the noodle soup with the crab broth but they never seem to have it!

Following a trip to Vietnam, our grandson was keen to try this restaurant. We all chose Pho, three chicken and one beef. The portions were large, even on the children's menu. There was a cosy ambience throughout and the service was friendly and informative. The music however did not reflect the restaurant and should have been Vietnamese.

Tasty grub, vegetarian more than enough options, pleasant staff and provided efficiently. No loud music when we visited. Been twice and same experience both times. Reasonably priced, same sort of range as Wagamama, had 2 nice cocktails too with a Vietnamese twist. All in all does what it says on the tin !

People bang on about whether the food here is authentic or not, but who cares? Having tried quite a few Vietnamese restaurants around London, I'm often disappointed because the fare is rather bland. But at Pho, I can confidently say that their Beef Pho is a revelation - full on fragrant flavours from tender brisket, the tasty broth and the brimming plate of fresh herbs alongside. Just wonderful.

Visited Pho with my family for an evening meal to celebrate a birthday. The menu had a good variety of dishes that sounded interesting and looked equally good on the tables surrounding us. We tried a variety of dishes and could appreciate the flavours, colours and textures. My sons particularly enjoyed the chicken starter with peanut and chilli sauce. Definitely worth a visit.

I visited here last year & wrote a review on the mean portions served on the lunch menu. I returned to see if the situation had changed & this time had a Pho with beef, overflowing with beef & greenery. The starter was a giant roll which was nice.It would be really nice if they kept the garlic & chilli accompaniment separate. The garlic is delicious & it’s annoying to have to pick it all out of the pot & leave the chillis inside.

Bit unfortunate the starters and service was very good and didn't have to wait too long to be seated even though the place was packed. However, the phó came Luke warm with missing ingredients and the noodles were over cooked. Shame as everything else was lovely.

Pho Kingston is one of a chain of some 25 or so Vietnamese restaurants which have been springing up across the country since 2007 I believe. It gets its name from the traditional Vietnamese soup, Pho, a popular street food dish in Vietnam. It consists of a savoury broth filled with rice noodles, slices of meat, and various herbs and spices. It was popularised throughout the rest of the world by refugees after the Vietnam War. We visited the Pho outlet in Kingston for a small (party of 10) company Christmas function. We were seated promptly at our allotted time at a nicely-laid table. We had chosen the Pho Ho Ho Christmas Party menu for our celebration. This menu was very reasonably priced (2 courses for £14.95, or 3 courses for £18.95), and contained a comprehensive list of items, including a good selection of different varieties of the traditional Vietnamese noodle soup, Pho. Service was relaxed, efficient and attentive, and all of our party enjoyed the various selections we had. It's not 5* haute cuisine by any means, nor probably the best Vietnamese food you'll find out of Vietnam, but it was nicely presented, piping hot and tasty. The Cha Gio (Spring Rolls) were a bit overdone, and the portion of Pho Xao had by one of the party was quite small compared to the size of the servings had by others, but otherwise the food was of a reasonable standard and represented good value for money. It was good to see a sizeable portion of the menu listed as vegetarian, gluten-free and dairy-free, rather than just a token inclusion of one or two items. We were there on a very cold evening in mid-December, and the restaurant interiors were a tad chilly, to the point that we had to ask for some adjustment to the heating. I'd certainly return for a quick lunch or dinner. It's located just by the historic Clattern Bridge, about a 10 minute walk from Kingston rail station.

We wanted somewhere to eat after walking around Kingston shopping and we saw the Pho. We had tried pho previously and we wanted somewhere that we could trust - not too expensive, but certainly not fast food!My wife had Phở gà (chicken breast in chicken broth) while I had Phở tái (thinly sliced steak in soup). Both were good choices. We especially like the drinks: Apple, mint & lime (AML on the bill!) without ginger for her and Coconut, pineapple & apple (CPA) for me. They have such wacky combinations! We would certainly recommend all of these.

Eat here for the first time last night and it’s a great addition to Kingston’s restaurant scene - watch our Wagamama! After being politely greeted and shown to our table, we ordered Gỏi cuốn, or Summer Rolls. This is a dish consisting of prawns, rice vermicelli, and other ingredients wrapped in Vietnamese bánh tráng, or rice paper. The rolls were very authentic tasting. Chilled, fresh and tasty, packed full of zingy herbs bursting with flavour. The peanut dipping sauce was deliciously creamy and the bowls were quickly wiped clean. We washed it all down with a generous glass of tasty Nếp Phú Lộc, or rice wine spirit. When my second course of ‘Spicy Green’ arrived I was blown away by the generosity of the ingredients. A large pile of fragrant herbs were provided on a side plate for me to add to a steaming spicy noodle broth of chicken, Morning Glory, green beans, Pak Choi, fresh lime and Thai basil. We ended the meal with a cup of Vietnamese Coffee served using a traditional filter. The coffee was rich and flavourful, offset by the sweet condensed milk. Perfect for sending us off in to the cold night. I’ll be coming back for more soon!

We stopped here to try the “Lunch menu” at this purveyor of so called “Vietnamese Street Food”. Being “Street food” we expected to dine on a hearty Pho before continuing our afternoon toil as perhaps a busy resident of Hanoi might do.Alas, this was not to be. The spring rolls were ok but our Pho’s were dreadful. Like inmates of a Russian gulag celebrating Christmas Day, my partner and I were given in each of our bowls a luke warm broth with the usual bits of vegetables & 2 slices of beef. These slices measured about 4x3 cms each & were so thinly sliced I can only imagine the “Chef” had employed a Gillette G2 vibrating razor blade to achieve an amazingly close shave so thin that if you had placed these slices in a frame for spectacles they could have been used as a very poor functioning pair of meat sun glasses! The meanness of the ingredients within our Pho’s was breathtaking in its frugality & I wager even the Camp Commandant of the aforementioned Gulag would have raised his eyebrows in shock before throwing the cook out into the snow for being too cruel to the inmates. We will be shortly leaving for another trip to Thailand & Vietnam & can’t wait to enjoy some proper street-food unlike this rubbish.By the way I’d guess the cost of making our Pho’s cannot have been more than 30 pence each.

My friend and I went into Pho Cafe a few weeks ago for lunch. Neither of us are from Kingston. She realized she left her phone in the car and had to dash back to the car park to go and fetch it. The staff were good enough to bring out a new hot starter for her when she returned and waited to bring out our mains together. They didn’t make us feel bad about our little mishap and we still managed to have a really lovely lunch and catch up thanks to the staff at Pho.

I went for the two course lunch special which I'm sure was £1 cheaper when I checked out the place a few weeks ago. The pork Cha Good were excellent, exactly what I wanted with plenty mint and lettuce to wrap round and dip. I ordered the Pho with sliced steak but what turned up was with brisket. The broth was quite aniseed flavoured and didn't have as much depth as the very best, but it was well above average. The beef was a bit stringy but tasty. There were lots of herbs to add to it - beware the chilli! As a spoon you get a wooden ladle which I didn't like. Still it was a good meal.So why the low rating? The Pho with brisket that they wrongly brought me wasn't on the lunch special menu, so they compounded the error by charging me the full price for both courses. The guy who brought the bill went to get someone else who in turn had to get the manager. She eventually sorted it out but she certainly didn't apologise and I had the impression they thought they were doing me a favour. Talk about adding insult to injury!

I have tried to find which restaurant this actually was and it is very difficult to tell. The restaurant I visited was just outisde the main fruit and veg market and heading towards The Rose Theatre and Surbiton. Small frontage but it wnent back a bit and onto the round building with a slight garden. I was introcuded to this place by an Asian friend who lives locally. I'm a big fan of Wagamama but this place has the edge, in my opinion. Really good and friendly service. Looks like there is an equivalent place in the market a few steps away but if you are okay to pay an extra £3.00 for your side, you can sit at the table rather than queue and also not have to find some table in the market to stit down at. I do love my stroll into Kingston, along the toll path and if it isn't the Lebanese place just before the bridge then this would be my other choice. Depending ontaste preferences for the day, on a Sunday. Still searching and researching other places.

The chicken wing starters are the best I think I've ever had. Wonderfully crispy skin without being fatty and accompanied by some beautifully fresh herbs and chillies.Lovely fried Spring Rolls too, although I'd personally recommend the large sliced ones over the individual ones.Fabulous Beef Brisket Pho. Having tried most of their Pho's I found the steak one to be tough I'm afraid and the meatball one to be a little gristly, but the brisket is utter heaven! I honestly mean heaven too! They do a spicy one which is simply blimmin' marvellous! One final thing. The fish sauce they use is also the very best I've ever tasted (and I have honestly shopped around) and the garlic and chilli in vinegar (one of their condiments) is honestly worth smuggling out, it's that good! Side note: Please don't steal it; just make your own, although I've tried and I still can't get it to be that good! For transparency of my previous review, there was a bit of an issue at this place recently, in that a managing staff member had a misunderstanding that day on what they could and couldn't do regarding licensing and unfortunately the same staff member handled it really badly at the time, but it's been now resolved.I felt it only fair to add a further review based on a perfect day here, of which I've now found that there are many.

We went on a weekday for dinner and decided we wanted to have what the waiter jokingly called "Vietnamese tapas", so we ordered four different starters to nibble on! Crispy squids, meatballs, veg spring rolls and Vietnamese summer rolls. It was all ever so delicious: two of the starters came with peanut sauce and two with sweet chilli sauce.
