We stumbled across this amazing place on a weekend trip out. We had a lovely cream tea out in the garden, overlooking the sheep and geese in the valley below. The food was delicious with generous portions. Would definitely go there again. 😊

As usual, we enjoyed a delicious lunch in this unique setting. We were inside, in the barn today, seated next to 'Nellie', the vintage caravan, as it was threatening a shower, but on a sunny day there is no better view of the rolling Dorset hills or the curious geese wandering in and around the pond. Several top soups were on offer and I chose my favorite, the curried sweetcorn, with a fresh home-baked roll. My fellow diners were equally happy with their choices, a cheese and ham toastie with fresh salad accompaniment and a tasty veggie pie with side salad (which Petra says is available to special guests only, so keep it under your hat!). Apparently, the home made ice creams were popular this week, in spite of the cooler weather, and my particular favourite, the creamy ginger, was tempting, but I was full up, so we took away 3 cheese scones for later, which were perfectly delicious (as are the home made cakes, which we have sampled on many a previous occasion). If the mood takes you, you can also buy a hand made bag, birthday card or candle lantern displayed around you, or pop into the neighbouring barns for a browse around the colourful quilts, quirky antiques or plants. We will be back soon, Petra!

Fantastic amazing home made food. We've just moved into the area and found this place tucked away down a country lane. Nipper said the chicken and mushroom pie was the best head ever had and we had the home made Lasagna which was awesome. Great cake selection too. We also have to add the ladies were the most friendly people you could meet :)

It is not often you get the chance to eat in such a unique place. Add to that the fact that all the cakes are home made, and to die for. Throw in super service with a very big smile and to top it off prices that seem to be as vintage as the caravan! It's a bit difficult to find but so worth the effort. The gallery next door has a wide range of vintage bits and bobs, again at a very reasonable price ( example a bentwood cafe chair on sale for £5) You could easily spent an hour just rummaging around in there. Open Thursday to Sunday 10.30 to 4.30 (1.00 to 4.30 on Sunday) and also for some special evening events. A delightful way to spend a couple of hours in deepest Dorset.

Small café adjacent to an antique barn, featuring a number of USA quilts. The kitchen is located in a vintage caravan inside a hay barn. Some of the seating is on straw bales and has a real charm. Light lunches and home made cakes are the staples, with tea, coffee and soft drinks. Generous portions and modest prices. It's quirky but well worth a visit just for the countryside. Delightful owners (Petra and Annette). Have a good look in the antique barn, there might well be a real gem hidden there (it's a separate business).

At last truly authentic food with real taste! So much Asian food seems to be modified to British tastes and just fails to meet expectations, however the food from Pico Pando was bursting with so much
