Gift shop is not very complete, quite small and not too much to choose from.

It beautifully blends original illustrations, rare manuscripts, and interactive displays, offering visitors a deep dive into the history and cultural impact of Peter Rabbit and his friends. The setting is thoughtfully designed to evoke the serene English countryside, where Potter’s tales are set, with lush greenery and quaint garden scenes enhancing the atmosphere. Overall, the Peter Rabbit Exhibition is a delightful blend of nostalgia and education, appealing to both long-time fans of Beatrix Potter's work and new visitors discovering her stories for the first time. It’s a must-visit for anyone who cherishes classic children’s literature and the timeless appeal of Peter Rabbit. I would recommend an actual peter rabbit character so people can interact and play with

Lovely place to visit, the models are fantastic. The story about Beatrix Potter is interesting. Nice little shop at the end too. There's a cafe here, although we didn't use it and toilet facilities.

A great place to bring the kids who are interested in Peter Rabbit, the exhibition is great and is available to read and listen to in multiple languages as you're walking around. It'll take just over an hour of your time with an introduction video before you enter. The gift shop is great too, but some things can be on the expensive side depending on what you're getting.

Oh dear very tired boring displays. We were in & out inside 15 minutes. Possibly ok to kill some time on a rainy day if you have bored under 5's. Really needs a complete makeover.

Was fortunate enough to be doing some work here, during the pandemic. The gift shop and the World of Beatrix Potter attraction are both fantastic, and I'm very much looking forward to them reopening so I can visit as a customer. Very much recommend this place, come on people, keep it local when things open back up again and give these sites some love. Roll on summer!

This is one of the main places to visit when you are a fan of Peter Rabbit. There is plenty of choice on offer here for all ages. When travel restrictions are lifted it will be one of the places to visit along with other shops in the area.

Great place to visit for a 3 and 5 year old who've had the stories read to them. A bit small is the venue/attraction, but has a lot crammed in to interest these age kids. Expensive shop. Didn't try the cafe. Would not like to go if busy. From an adult perspective, I would have like more detail and content related to each story / character. Took 30mins to walk through.

While i haven't been to Chesters for a year or two, we have been going to Chesters for over 15 years and we were very happy they survived covid and shifted to vegan and vegetarian. We have always had excellent service and "home made" healthy meals here. They have shifted more to a take away approach with paper cups and utensils, etc. And perhaps due to their popularity, they remained more of a take away after covid just to serve all the people that go there. It is always packed, and often difficult to find seating inside or outside... so the takeaway approach allows them to serve more people perhaps. Otherwise, we would be waiting an hour to get our food and a table. We often buy things from the espresso side and bakery and bring them to the other side to get lunch and have never had a problem. But definitely don't go if you can't adapt to "takeout" approach. Never bothered us after covid. Many of our favorite restaurants, still are mostly takeaway model years after covid. Absolutely an oasis for vegetarians! Great expresso, amazing jelly donuts on designated days, fantastic breads and pastry, and a great salad selection as well as many other dishes. Set on a beautiful river. You can eat indoors or outside. We go hiking and go back for our next meal. Yes, a bit pricey... and the bathrooms are definitely not adequate for the amount of people... not cleaned often enough. But we go for the excellent food and coffee. Nice little gift shop also inside the building for rainy days. Going to get back soon. Still highly recommend!
