This is the second year we chose Pesca Trattoria for our work Christmas Dinner. There were twelve of us, so all the food was pre-ordered, and we had a fun evening with delicious food and attentive service. My chosen dessert, a Tiramisu, was amazing. I have no hesitation in recommending them.

Went out for a staff meal and a few drinks,was not disappointed,I had the Christmas turkey which was delicious,juicy with a lovely stuffing inside,very well presented and tasty all round food,no complaints from anyone,the tomahawk steak looks amazing,all food is freshly made,good selection of cocktails. Restaurant is nice inside with a friendly atmosphere and staff. Will be revisiting soon.

Chose pesca for the family lunch. greeted with a lovely atmosphere and brilliant staff, always tending to everything we needed and the food was quick to arrive and was brill! all round great family run Italian and awwsome cocktails too! would recommend 100% to all.

Eaten and drank here many times now and always fantastic! Staff are lovely and chatty. The calamari I had was as light as a feather and the special truffle pasta is top notch too. Also, I’d say the pizza dough is the best in Hove! 👌

I have only been here once, it was empty except for our table which I wish I had taken as a sign. The food was horrible, bland, gelatinous and disappointing. The portions, as others have commented, were small and considering the cost, what was served was underwhelming, disappointing and poor quality. I wouldn't go back or recommend.

We were very well looked after and enjoyed the food. Pesca Trattoria is quite quiet which suited us with noisy children but for more atmosphere it needs more visitors!

The cacio e pepe pasta was a dream! We went for lunch and stayed 4 hours...very Italian. Can't fault Pesca.

Chose simply because it was a dog friendly Italian in Hove............... Basic but lovely menu, which is good as too many choices usually means inferior food. Friendly staff..dog bowl brought to table. Food was delightful, The only thing is that you need to get rid of the curtains to the front of the Restaurant, as it looks like you are closed. Missing a lot of passing trade by shutting the curtains when you are open. Whilst we were there, one couple came into the restaurant, from the street , and actually asked if you were open!!! Would definitely go again, as you Xmas festive menu looks great...........

The restaurant is a fabulous place to fine. Really well thought out with a private dining area that still keeps the ambiance of the restaurant overall, a great bar to sit at and have a cocktail before thing. The food is incredible. Home made, well cooked, traditional Italian style family service. Talking of service? It’s faultless nothing is too much trouble and it’s relaxed so you never feel rushed. The wine is really well sourced. Overall 11/10

The wait staff were lovely, but despite only a few tables taken we had a long wait for mains which were disappointing when they arrived. The pizza was bland & in a pile of semolina flour, and the Fregola was in lumps (the Ragu bolognese was good however ) . Disappointed - maybe just a bad night for the chef .

Best pasta outside of Naples. Dog friendly and amazing service.

Lovely Italian restaurant in hove! All the food was delicious with the ascolana olives being a must try and the parpadelle emiliane a table favourite! Customer service was excellent and very friendly. Overall a great find and will definitely be returning very soon!

Sorry I have to leave my experience- absolutely awful food - probably the worst Italian restaurant I’ve tried- tuna tartare was little squares of raw tuna - no dressing, no seasoning with slivers of lemon,the thinnest slices I have ever seen. Followed by smoked cheese beetroot ravioli - bland, smoky taste without any seasoning - I mentioned this and had a slice of lemon to jazz it up - the best part was gratis lemoncello. Honestly I could rustle up a better meal. Disappointed ☹️

Delightful local feel with great offers and quality food. We went for the mid week £10 lunch offer which included a pasta or pizza dish and a glass of wine. The pasta was super tasty and piping hot, the staff attentive and friendly. The atmosphere is very relaxed and a bit quiet as opposed to buzzy/loud.

Little gem in Hove. The food here is amazing. We shared lots of appetisers which were all delicious (the stuffed olives are amazing!), then we shared a steak and fresh pasta between 3 of us and it was cooked beautifully! Really lovely evening! Thank you.

Very nice atmosphere - quite romantic, and a nice place to go for a cocktail or a meal. The staff were friendly and very efficient. Food was tasty and fresh. Felt it was a little overpriced for what it was, eg spaghetti frutti di mare was 3 prawns, 3 mussels and 3 clams for £16. Spatchcocked chicken (also £16) was very good as were our starters of courgette fritter and calamari. Decent wine for around £30, there were cheaper wines on the menu too. On the whole we liked Pesca.

The portion sizes were ridiculously small. Pasta is cheap to make and produce. This is disgusting when you go to a restaurant and get a starter size meal for an inflated price. Not worth it!

Come una parte di un gruppo che incontra per cenare, sono andato a questo ristorante sabato sera. Ho preso tre corsi che sono stati molto buoni ma un po piccolo. I camerieri sono stati amichevoli ma non sono stati italiani. All'inizio della cena abbiamo ricevuto una bevanda gratis - tanto gentile. Mi piace questo posto e posso ritornare per cenare di nuovo.

First time eating at Pesca, friendly, professional service. Clean. Food was very good. Starters, calamari and fried courgettes. Having lived in the Med for years, the starters did not disappoint. Pork special of the day was delicious. Summer pasta, light and one can only describe as Summer in a bowl. Two of us had the cod which was good. Suggestion to chef to cook down the tomato sauce which was a tad bitter. Will definitely go again.

One of my favorite restaurants in Hove. Everything I’ve had there is delicious. Absolutely perfect pasta dishes, great cocktails and good service from polite staff.

Incredible evening spent at Pesca. The food was delicious and authentic, coupled with an impressive wine menu and cocktail list. The service was outstanding and the owner was kind enough to ensure gluten free options were available for the group. Couldn’t recommend any more!

Pesca has become a regular for us and friends in Hove. We can call in for a cocktail or two or take friends out for a great meal. They're always welcoming and we love the food. Love it.

Had a fantastic date night at Pesca Trattoria!! We started with the fried olives - a unique dish and totally delicious. Our mains arrived in good time and were really lovely - I would say that the amaretti biscuit crumb on my dish was a little too sweet and overpowered the more delicate flavours somewhat, but otherwise a very tasty dish. We both thought the zucchini fries were incredible and would definitely recommend those!! To finish, we enjoyed some tiramisu, which was a perfect size for sharing and just so light and fluffy. The complimentary limoncello was a nice touch, too! The service was great and the atmosphere here is really pleasant. We’ll definitely be back 😇

Lovely food, served with a smile but could really do with a shake up on its decor, furnishings and loos. I will often gravitate to restaurants which look as though they are favoured by locals and this was no exception. Just try to bring the fabric of the building up to the standard of the grub.

Dissapointed by the poor service. We booked a table and arrived 10 minutes early. The waitress said the manager would deal with us. He was more interested in texting or playing with his phone and left us standing in the middle of the restaurant. The waitress eventually returned and found us a table. The manager came over and we ordered food and drinks. The drinks took ten minutes to arrive as the manager was playing with his phone again. The irony was he was standing below a chalk board inviting customers to rate them on Tripadvisor. The food was good but the sevice was poor.I would not go back

Paid for drinks on app as food not available, so then paid for food 8mims later and was charged both times for service charge. Food was missed off the order and we had to chase, they had a app issue and by the time our missing order came out the rest was cold. Never offered anything. Was very Happy with staff at table but feel they are let down by technology and bad communication. Have been b4 but won't again. This was your 3 try for food . Stick to being a pub .

Been with few friends. Had seafood but there weren’t much of it. It’s quite pricey for what you get. It was without taste. Calamari were really good. The sauce was amazing.

Recently ate here with a big group of Italians and Italian-speakers, there was a lovely atmosphere! We spent £35 a head, for 3 courses including wine, this is very much in line with what I'd expect to spend anywhere in Brighton. There was a good variety of options including vegan and vegetarian ones and the staff were knowledgeable about allergies and veganism, which was very comforting for me. Portion size was on the smaller size for the mains, but beautifully well-presented and delicious. Good size portions for starters and desserts. The owner brought us complimentary Limoncello shots, which was also a lovely touch!

Our new favourite restaurant in Hove. We went on a date night and they had the romantic atmosphere down to perfection. The staff were all extremely attentive and welcoming and the food was divine. We had the Salt Cod Mantecato to start, which was really creamy and light. I had Mussels for main and my husband had Steak. Both were seasoned beautifully. Finally we had a Tiramisu and some Limoncello to finish. I don't normally eat dessert, but this was the nicest Tiramisu I've eaten outside of Italy and a very generous portion. Thank you Pesca for making our date night so special. We will be back!

Second visit to this lovely restaurant, this time with my family. Just as enjoyable, will be back again!

What a fantastic night! Thankyou all so much everyone for making our first trip to Brighton even more amazing. We hadn't booked and because the restaurant understandably was so busy we were asked to wait. It was only a very short wait and they kept us topped up with drinks , so didn't mind. It was definitely well worth it with out a doubt. I ordered the ragu which was so good I wished I could make the place my regular haunt. My son had the best steak he's even eaten he said. Without any hesitation we agreed we would definitely come back. The staff were attentive and nothing too much trouble, the food amazing and the atmosphere made it all a perfect night. The food was okay but really overpriced and the portions were tiny in my opinion. I went to Rome recently and the food from metro station was better. but if the pasta was the under 10 pounds region I would rate it an 4. We went for food afterwards as we were still hungry

Very warm welcome and tasty food

I really enjoyed my culinary experience at La Pesca. The food was really delicious - the meat was tender and the vegetables cooked well. The wine and gin were good quality and reasonably priced and the overall atmosphere was really relaxing. Loved the music and decor - good energy. The staff are friendly and welcoming-the customer service here is excellent in general. I will definitely be returning to try out more of the menu. Thanks for a great experience 10/10 👍😀

Second visit to Pesca and we love it!! We had our Italian parents and they approved. The only downside from the grandfather was the pasta came with just a fraction too much sauce and the pasta guanciale could have been ever so slightly thicker slices. Service was gorgeous and food was delicious. One of our top 3 favourites in Hove.

Restaurant was not that busy but service was slow. Food was not that great sadly. Crab started tasted like tinned crab meat and was way over priced for that standard. Steak was over cooked and dry around the edges and pasta was good pasta but...
