We had a lovely time dining at Franco manca. The foot was incredible and the service brilliant. This is by far the most child friendly restaurant I’ve visited and Maria made sure my son was entertained and showed us how to download and use the app which was a massive help! I would definitely recommend visiting if you have young children as it made eating out an enjoyable experience

Had a lovely meal prior to going to a concert at Brighton Dome. Wonderful atmosphere and really friendly. Food was wonderful and tasty. Special mention to Beth our waitress she was knowledgeable about the food on offer and ensured that we had a lovely time. Definitely recommend and will be going back.

After Uber Eats left my pizzas at a random house, I spoke to the manager who was brilliant. He said I could collect some replacements so I drove over and picked them up just before closing. Top guy!

Reasonable food and decent service. Marks off for adding a stealth service charge at the end which is my pet peeve - please just factor service into your prices so I know what I'm spending up front. Otherwise decent enough, but doesn't shine compared to the best pizzas in Brighton.

Love it here. First time visit to Brighton branch but Franco Manca hasn't disappointed me yet. Walked in on a quiet Friday afternoon. Served very promptly and received our meals and drinks very quickly too. Our server Grazie was an absolute delight and made our experience that much better. Thank you for a wonderful lunch! Only improvement is the bases of the pizza could do with being a touch less soggy! But super tasty and affordable. You know a pizza is good when even the crusts are delicious

Over all Very disappointed ☹️ considering how quiet it was they got one of the pizza 🍕 orders wrong and had to remake a new one ☹️ when we got the pizza’s the were well cooked round the outside and very very soggy in the middle ☹️ when my wife ordered a glass of red wine 🍷 it was served cold and in a tumbler 👎 and even when she asked for room temperature it was horrible cheap wine which they charged over £6 a glass for ☹️ all in all a big fail ☹️ needless to say we won’t be back

I just had the worst pizza ever. I ordered a pizza deal on Deliveroo, but the spicy salami pizza was missing. Instead, I got a marinara and a terrible margarita pizza—both tasted awful. The garlic bread was also missing. The only good part of the night was throwing it all in the bin.

the service was amazing which made the food such a let down, our pizza was very burnt. I’ve had chargrilled before but it was almost inedible and falling apart. the atmosphere was quite loud and the table next to us were rolling a cigarette, baccy pouch on the table and all. this of course is not a fault of the employees or owners but wasn’t the best. lovely servers though!!

We've been to quite a few Franco Man as in the past but the one in Brighton is just different level. It just seemed that the pizza toppings were fresher and felt like much more high end pizza. Maria even took my starving boy's order straight away because he was starving. Thank you and see you soon.

Had ‘Franco’s Favourtie’ at Brighton restaurant last week, and best pizza I have had in 12 years!! Amazing and going back tonight as a treat. Try it for yourself you won’t be disappointed ❤️

Maria our waitress saw our daughter upset (she had decided to not have any ice cream so her brother ate it and thenchanged her mind) and just brought some more over free of charge, with no request from us. I was Visiting Brighton from Germany and the Pizza here was better than some from Italy. The Staff was so friendly and the food came fast. Highly recommended!!!

As a first time customer to Franco Manca I could not be happier! The food was delicious and sitting outside in the sunshine was lovely! Above all the customer service was WAY beyond what I would ever expect! Maria was attentive, funny, kind and very reactive to all of our needs! She treated us as family and we both came away wishing that every business had a Maria!!! We highly recommend this pizzeria! Grazie mille Maria!!!! X

The reception on arrival was quick and friendly, when we sat at the table we didn’t feel rushed but not forgotten, The service was good and friendly. We chose the mixed platter, (olives roasted nuts and small dried flavoured crop biscuits) which was ok. And also a Barata which was nice. Pizza (No 7) for me felt under cooked base quit soggy quite doughy and had no choice but to eat with a knife & fork. The lady did ask if all was ok, so l told her she asked would l like a new one, l just ask if it could be more cook, which was No problem at all, sadly when l got a new one it wasn’t much better, it must be just there way of cooking the pizza, also most of the njeudi (like pepperoni), was all in the middle of the pizza with the small amount of other ingredients When the bill arrived they had not added the deal from the fork app that we had so had to get them to change the bill which we should not have hade to ask them change it it should just be done to start with🤔

We have never been here before and we were a walking. I have the feeling they were under staff but we were seated outside and what felt like for most off the dinner forgotten about, when my partner went inside to the toilet the manager (who seemed in a awful mood throughout) interrogated him to see if he was even a customer asking him multiple questions about if he had ordered food or not ( what we had). We ordered starters and mains 10 mins apart to then wait 30 mins for it all to arrive all at once making the table very cramped. No one check of the food was ok, no one came to offer more drinks. I had to go in to ask for the bill. What was met with more rudeness from the manager. Overall the service was a big let dow.

It was amazing to be there i will def come again. The margarita i got was so delicious. 5 stars towards the great service of the staff, especially Maria. Best

A lovely restaurant, near the beach and a delicious pizza, I really enjoy the food.

What a shame that the only thing that let this restaurant down was the rude staff!! The food was absolutely lovely and one lady serving was pleasant enough, but the two men on shift yesterday were terrible! We arrived around 3pm and asked for a table for 6. The restaurant was not at capacity and had two large tables that just needed clearing. The waiter told us it would be a 10-15 minute wait. We decided to hang on as we could see it was only a table that needed clearing. Sure enough, the table was available much sooner but by this time, my friend had gone to the shop to get a drink for her youngest child who was incredibly thirsty. That could have been avoided had we been told a more realistic wait time such as five minutes! It certainly felt as though they didn’t want our custom. A second waiter came to take our order. He was inpatient and kept stamping his feet as we tried to work out what the children wanted to eat. At one point, my friend asked to make a small amendment to something she had ordered and he literally rolled his eyes! He didn’t even ask me what I wanted to drink so I ended up drinking tap water which we’d asked for to share for the whole table. To be honest, by this point I didn’t even want to call him back over and asked for a drink for myself as he had already been so rude. Had it not been for us having several very hungry children who needed to eat, we would have walked out and taken our business elsewhere. When we paid the bill, we decided not to tip as we normally would, however the money was taken and they never returned the change (albeit small chance) and just assumed it was for them! The food was nice, but on the expensive side. The staff were just plan rude! Do not recommend.

Pizza is great but probably not the best in Brighton. Slightly dry. Staff is very kind and attentive, the location is spacious and nice, you can just walk in without a booking.

We visited on a Monday night and shared 4 different pizzas, these were possibly the greatest pizzas I’ve ever had, the dough was excellent and the flavour was great . Had coffee after which was excellent, shame about the ice cream though which was very average…served in a glass . The 10% tip was added to the bill, which was discretionary, but I like to leave my own tip, depending on the quality of the food and service, which in my mind was worth a 20% tip . So they would have got £20 to instead of the £10 they got . Would have been nice to have been offered a shot of grappa or lemoncello , apart from that … highly recommend 👌👌👌👌👌👌👌

We came by early on a Tuesday evening, having visited a few times in the past, food was fresh and tasty as usual and atmosphere good. Service started fine, strangely before I had even finished eating we were asked if we wanted desserts and when said no the bill and card machine arrived, again I was still eating. The total was flashed from the bill (including the service charge they add) hadn't had a chance to look at it, before total was typed into card machine and thrust in front of me (again I'm still eating my main). So had to pay bill while still eating, never experienced this before and waitress had been chatty and efficient before this. It was still reasonably quiet when we left as promptly as possible. Sadly this bizarre incident has put me off this chain.

Vincenzo made the evening for us. From the minute we walked in he looked after us with a wonderful energy and smile and was so attentive even when it was super busy - such a rarity when you eat out these days! Food was delicious too. Thank you Vincenzo.

Overated pizza restaurant that really skimps on toppings ,shame we really wanted to like this but a total rip off ,goto pizza express instead

We just walked in. We did not know of this place previously so we gave it a go. There were only 2 tables occupied when we went in. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. What you would expect when you visit a new restaurant. The menu was simple and inviting. I had the antipasto platter with meat which is a common starter in all italian restaurants. The bread served with the platter was really good. The olive oil was a great accompanying for the bread. My partner had a bruscheta with n'duja with the same bread and he enjoyed that. The pizza base was amazing. The anchovies on the pizza could be better. All and all it was a really good meal and I do recommend them.

Probably one of the best pizzas I've eaten (I'm 47 years old and have traveled to quite a few countries around the world!) The chef's pizza is a must!

Probably the best chain restaurant for pizza at the moment certainly beats the ones that you normally find in the shopping centres. The base makes it the best toppings are about quality, not quantity, which is the Italian way Never had a bad pizza at any branch

We regularly come for pizza and a bottle of wine at the weekend. Pizza is always good and service always friendly and helpful. Maria was especially helpful last weekend, allowing me to swap out cheese from the veggie special and adding 2 other veg so I could have a vegan pizza of my choice. Would recommend.

Genuinely the best gluten free pizza I’ve ever had… and I’ve had many. Lovely vibe, great music and a friendly warm welcome. Really reasonable prices, especially for the wines with a nice bottle of Montepulciano at £28.50. Coeliac friendly and I highly recommend.

Dinner for 1 without booking. Restaurant was relatively quiet although it was Monday night. The manager quickly directed me to a suitable table and my order was taken promptly for a pizza and a couple of bottles of Italian lager. The pizza was full of flavour, hot and the sourdough was perfectly cooked. Highly recommend Franco Manca for dinner whether you are a small or larger group.

What a wonderful evening, great chatty staff helping us with the choice of a superb meal, and then ready to chat about The Brighton Fringe and events of the evening. We felt truely spoilt and comfortable.

Ruby was a fantastic restaurant and was super efficient and friendly. I really thought she did a great job. The food was exceptional and the no 3 pizza was one of the best I have ever tried. Top marks all round. Oh and amazing homemade tiramisu too! Thanks ruby and the team 👋🙂

Went there 1st May Bank Holiday for quiet birthday celebration for my friend - SO friendly and polite - Maria was the manger and incredibly attentive in the best way - and a lovely dessert with a candle - really thoroughly recommend the food is excellent and value for money. Not good , doesn't taste italian food

Disappointing experience here last night. Been several times before without issue. Service was slack - waited a long time for glasses to go with our drinks and also for the bill. We were sat near the till and the waitress knocked a pile of change plates over twice, both of which hit me which wasn’t even acknowledged. It’s nothing, but it’s quite odd to not even refer to dropping something onto a customer twice. Food wise, my pizza (#4) was so sparsely topped that it was ostensibly like eating bread. My daughters (#8) was absolutely fine however. Staff didn’t check on us during the main. Bill came to approx £20/head for a shared started , two pizzas and a soft drink each. Bill came with an optional 10% service charge which we were not given the option to remove. Very average experience.

Decent pizzas made with good quality ingredients. Service wasn't very good this time. We were ignored to start with and then they didn't bring the side salads, which we had asked to come with the pizzas, until we had nearly finished. Hence only 3 stars. Their loyalty app doesn't work very well and often fails to credit a stamp when it should. It's a shame as the food and drink itself is good.

Very warm welcome, very affordable price for excellent quality. As a French tourist we highly recommend this restaurant, the waiters made a pleasant effort to speak French. The atmosphere is friendly.

The pizza is great but £2.75 extra for a gluten free base is excessive. It is time that pizza places stop abusing with this. Specially in the case when they cook it in the same oven and the rest of the pizza, so there is no extra work involved.

Lovely food at reasonable prices. Staff are always nice. They're also pretty flexible to various dietary requirements too! This is also the place where I learned that buffalo mozzarella comes from actual buffalos???? I won't be forgetting that any time soon.
