Franco Manca Brighton in Brighton and Hove

I was there yesterday with my wife, daughter and nephew. We had a great time, the pizza was excellent as was the appetizer. Friendliness and competence. Very good.

Awful service. Stood for 5+ minutes before the waitress finally acknowledged us, then told us there were no tables.

One of my favorite places, I love pizza and atmosphere there, cozy and friendly staff and kind, absolutely to visit often, very affordable prices, the owner and very kind always and great help with advice, thank you very much.

Unfortunately I was recommended Franca Manca. I was so disappointed. The board outside displayed an offer I tried to order but was told it was takeaway only, it didn't state that on the board. I ordered a white wine spritzer but I was told the till didn't have that item on the 'buttons' so couldn't order one. Yet both items were on the menu separately. The chicken and potato meal remained cold despite being heated twice in the oven. The pizza was barely warm and was served without being cut up. We felt ignored and no-one checked that we were satisfied after our food was brought to the table a second time. We were advised that the waiter was very busy. When we arrived there were 2 tables, one of 3 and one of 1. A second waiter arrived who apologised when we explained the above problems and gave us a free meal, although the chicken wasn't eaten, it wasn't nice cold.

Great pizzas. So tasty and such a cool vibe in the restaurant. Highly recommend if you’re a pizza lover. Staff were friendly and efficient.

Really appreciated getting a table after calling to see if we could fit in a bit late on a Friday. Loved it here again. Maria was fantastic and the whole team were very accommodating. We sat at a table next to the chefs and we had a bit of banter with them after that. Amazing pizza, loved it. Highly recommend!

Absolutely love this place! We quite often do a Sunday trip to Brighton to wonder around the lanes and we always end up at Francos. Pizzas are amazing, freshly cooked, service is always brilliant. It’s a must if you fancy a pizza.

Excellent pizza for me. My partner's one was not cooked enough but was replaced promptly ( it was delicious). Maria was very efficient, professional and friendly. It was a hectic Saturday lunch, and she was attending all the tables with the same level of professionalism. Thanks Maria.

Great place to eat before a show at the Dome or Theatre Royal (both nearby). They make an excellent thin pizza with a good variety of choice. My wife and I shared one and had room for a desert each afterwards (Nutella and Pistachio covered Pizza with whipped cream, yummy !) We arrived early at 5.30pm and only just managed to secure a table for two. It is an incredibly busy restaurant, so well worth booking in advance. The staff were nice and there was WiFi available.

I am sure we will eat here again.

The manager lady was unsmiling and should really look for a less customer-facing job. The waitress on the other hand did her best and was charming. Our pizzas were among the worst I have tasted. They arrived tepid, the outer crust part was charred but still rubbery to cut into, the central part with the cheese and other toppings was not crispy at all, it could be rolled up a bit like an English pancake. The red wine (a "Sangiovese") was not pleasant - very acidic. And not only the wine, but also unbelievably the prosecco were served in water beakers. Less breakage, and easy to wash up, but surely the purpose of a wine glass is to enhance the wine experience? We were all four of us very disappointed and will not be back.

Food is always great here, we had very fast and efficient service from Maria who was funny and welcoming. The waitress with the red hair was also very attentive. Franca is always a go-to restaurant for us.

Had trouble downloading app correctly as date of birth wasn't working. Tried several times. Called and spoke to a guy who sounded Italian who told me no one else has any problems and to get the £5 pizza deal I needed app. I explained 2 of us tried it but he told me he was too busy and nothing he could do. I then looked at the app reviews and saw literally dozens of similar issues. He was rude and we went to pizza express which was great.

Amazing food, possibly the best pizza we've ever had, can see the chefs preparing the dough and cooking the food. Really lovely tasty food with lots of generous topping. Glad we decided to drop in here highly recommended.

Not greatest visit today. Which is shame as reputation is good. Problem with bill which I queried twice eventually paying third offering. Annoyed to then notice serving staff automatically applied a tip despite notes suggesting optional. Didn't offer to remove it either when I pointed this out either. Back in Brighton next week and plan was to go back, however based on tonight, have already booked a nearby pizzaria. This one needs to buck itself up.

We came here for dinner and ordered 2 pizzas. As italians we usually have high expectations but they’ve been met. Max was one of the best waiters i’ve ever met, certainly a great plus for the Pizzeria! Franco Manca is a must for us Italians when we’re far away from home.

We had a lovely time dining at Franco manca. The foot was incredible and the service brilliant. This is by far the most child friendly restaurant I’ve visited and Maria made sure my son was entertained and showed us how to download and use the app which was a massive help! After Uber Eats left my pizzas at a random house, I spoke to the manager who was brilliant. He said I could collect some replacements so I drove over and picked them up just before closing. Top guy!

Had a lovely meal prior to going to a concert at Brighton Dome. Wonderful atmosphere and really friendly. Food was wonderful and tasty. Special mention to Beth our waitress she was knowledgeable about the food on offer and ensured that we had a lovely time. Definitely recommend and will be going back.

Reasonable food and decent service. Marks off for adding a stealth service charge at the end which is my pet peeve - please just factor service into your prices so I know what I'm spending up front. Otherwise decent enough, but doesn't shine compared to the best pizzas in Brighton.

Love it here. First time visit to Brighton branch but Franco Manca hasn't disappointed me yet. Walked in on a quiet Friday afternoon. Served very promptly and received our meals and drinks very quickly too. Our server Grazie was an absolute delight and made our experience that much better. Thank you for a wonderful lunch! Only improvement is the bases of the pizza could do with being a touch less soggy! But super tasty and affordable. You know a pizza is good when even the crusts are delicious

Over all Very disappointed ☹️ considering how quiet it was they got one of the pizza 🍕 orders wrong and had to remake a new one ☹️ when we got the pizza’s the were well cooked round the outside and very very soggy in the middle ☹️ when my wife ordered a glass of red wine 🍷 it was served cold and in a tumbler 👎 and even when she asked for room temperature it was horrible cheap wine which they charged over £6 a glass for ☹️ all in all a big fail ☹️ needless to say we won’t be back

I just had the worst pizza ever. I ordered a pizza deal on Deliveroo, but the spicy salami pizza was missing. Instead, I got a marinara and a terrible margarita pizza—both tasted awful. The garlic bread was also missing. The only good part of the night was throwing it all in the bin.

the service was amazing which made the food such a let down, our pizza was very burnt. I’ve had chargrilled before but it was almost inedible and falling apart. the atmosphere was quite loud and the table next to us were rolling a cigarette, baccy pouch on the table and all. this of course is not a fault of the employees or owners but wasn’t the best. lovely servers though!!

Great service and a cracking pizza!

We've been to quite a few Franco Man as in the past but the one in Brighton is just different level. It just seemed that the pizza toppings were fresher and felt like much more high end pizza. Maria even took my starving boy's order straight away because he was starving. Thank you and see you soon.

Had ‘Franco’s Favourtie’ at Brighton restaurant last week, and best pizza I have had in 12 years!! Amazing and going back tonight as a treat. Try it for yourself you won’t be disappointed ❤️

Great service and amazing value. I was in a rush and the team were so lovely and quick. Maria our waitress saw our daughter upset (she had decided to not have any ice cream so her brother ate it and thenchanged her mind) and just brought some more over free of charge, with no request from us. As a first time customer to Franco Manca I could not be happier! The food was delicious and sitting outside in the sunshine was lovely! Above all the customer service was WAY beyond what I would ever expect! Maria was attentive, funny, kind and very reactive to all of our needs! She treated us as family and we both came away wishing that every business had a Maria!!! We highly recommend this pizzeria! Grazie mille Maria!!!! X

I was Visiting Brighton from Germany and the Pizza here was better than some from Italy. The Staff was so friendly and the food came fast. Highly recommended!!!

The reception on arrival was quick and friendly, when we sat at the table we didn’t feel rushed but not forgotten, The service was good and friendly. We chose the mixed platter, (olives roasted nuts and small dried flavoured crop biscuits) which was ok. And also a Barata which was nice. Pizza (No 7) for me felt under cooked base quit soggy quite doughy and had no choice but to eat with a knife & fork. The lady did ask if all was ok, so l told her she asked would l like a new one, l just ask if it could be more cook, which was No problem at all, sadly when l got a new one it wasn’t much better, it must be just there way of cooking the pizza, also most of the njeudi (like pepperoni), was all in the middle of the pizza with the small amount of other ingredients When the bill arrived they had not added the deal from the fork app that we had so had to get them to change the bill which we should not have hade to ask them change it it should just be done to start with🤔

We have never been here before and we were a walking. I have the feeling they were under staff but we were seated outside and what felt like for most off the dinner forgotten about, when my partner went inside to the toilet the manager (who seemed in a awful mood throughout) interrogated him to see if he was even a customer asking him multiple questions about if he had ordered food or not ( what we had). We ordered starters and mains 10 mins apart to then wait 30 mins for it all to arrive all at once making the table very cramped. No one check of the food was ok, no one came to offer more drinks. I had to go in to ask for the bill. What was met with more rudeness from the manager. Overall the service was a big let dow.

It was amazing to be there i will def come again. The margarita i got was so delicious. 5 stars towards the great service of the staff, especially Maria. Best
